Crime Scenes with Coffee Beans
Wicked Stepmother - Martha Rendell
It's a cold winter's day, 1907, in the Western Australia suburb of East Perth, and 7 year old Annie Morris dies from a suspected dose of diphtheria, her 5 year old sister Olive meeting the same fate only a few months later. Nearly a year to the day, 14 year old Arthur died the same way and when his brother George started displaying the exact same symptoms of the illness that took his siblings lives, his stepmother Martha insisted on giving him her 'special medicine' to help him.
Terrified he'd end up like his brother and sisters, George fled and notified authorities of his suspicions and what they discovered was nothing short of evil.
Join Belinda over a coffee or two as she takes a deep dive into the disturbing case of the stepmother from hell - Martha Rendell.
