Intro 0:00
Yes, life has taken its course. And in the midst of challenges, in the middle of change, through heartbreak, pruning, stretching, and rebuilding, came elevation. Not the kind that happens overnight. Not the kind that comes without tears. But the kind that is earned through surrender. The kind that is shaped in private. The kind that is born in the fire of growth. And so, here we are. On the air with Dr. New. Not as a woman who has arrived, but as a woman who is evolving. Life tested me. Growth refined me. God redirected me. And I stand here not flawless. Not perfect, but progressing. Because elevation isn't about pretending you never fell. It's about rising differently. It's about learning what the lesson was sent to teach you. It's about walking forward wiser, softer, stronger, and more aligned than before. So if you've been stretched, if you've been reshaped, if you've been rebuilt, you're not behind. You're being elevated. Welcome to the next level. Welcome to Growth in Motion. Welcome to On the Air with Dr. New, where we keep it classy, uncut, raw, and real.

Dr. Nu 1:22
Hey, hey, hey, my beautiful people. Yes, indeed. Welcome back to On Air with Dr. New. Yes, you heard correctly, Dr. New. Some things have taken place. It's no longer on air with Latoya. Elevation has taken place. So we here. This is the space where we're gonna keep it classy, uncut, and raw. Yes, today's episode is deeply personal. It's powerful, it's purposeful. We're talking about coming back in elevation, growing into your purpose. Yes, indeed. We're growing into purpose, y'all. Yes. So look, I'm not here to preach perfection at all. Because as you all know, no one's perfect, including myself. I'm here as a soul navigating the ups and the downs. I'm coming to you as a woman who's mastered healing, but as one committed to the journey, there's a profound difference. Hmm, you heard me correctly. A profound difference. I've cried in the car after heartbreak, hidden my pain behind four smiles and faced parts of myself that scared me. It's uncomfortable, isn't it? But here's the beauty of it. I didn't give up. And neither will you. You heard me. Neither will you. We're not giving up. So let's jump into this. Heartbreak. We all have experienced it. Heartbreak has this uncanny ability to uproot our sense of self. Right. Right. I sometimes I was wondering, like, man, is that you? Like, are you tripping? Girl, Bah, get it together. But guess what? We pour our hearts and our loyalty and our dreams into relationships and sometimes only to be met with betrayal. It feels like the ground has been pulled from under us, leaving us clutching the shattered pieces of our trust. But here's the truth. I want you all to hear. Your pain is not your identity. It's a chapter in your story and not the whole narrative. When you start to heal, people may question you. She's too emotional. She needs therapy. She lost her mind, or even might call you crazy, like you're just bugging out for no reason. But let me tell you this. Sometimes those comments are just a projection from their own unattended wounds. You see, when people are uncomfortable with their own struggles, they can lash out at those brave enough to feel it. So you're brave to feel your emotions. You're not running from it, you're dealing with it. So when people try to navigate those feelings and telling you why you're going through it, why you taking so long to get over it, there's no time framing healing. Heal girl, do you hear me? But let growth inspire you. You can be emotional and evolving. You can experience pain and still find healing. You can feel disappointment, but still keep your discernment sharp. You are not losing your mind, darling. You're not. You are becoming. And becoming that requires a strategy. Yeah, strategy. So this is what we're gonna do right now. Come a little closer. Let's walk through this journey together, shall we? Strategy one, you're gonna affirm your worth even while you're healing. Before you can elevate in life, you have to stabilize within yourself. Healing doesn't start with a brand new relationship, it starts with how you see yourself in the mirror. Look, I know it's tough. On days you feel shattered, stand in front of the mirror and decree, I am worthy of love. I'm deserving of peace. I deserve honesty and consistency. You don't declare this because you feel invincible. You declare it until it becomes your truth. Now, here's the hard truth. Affirmations are just the start, but discernment is where the magic happens. You can be confident, but still fall into patterns that hurt you. So once you remember your worth, protect it. Do you hear me? When you remember your worth, you protect it by all costs. Strategy number two, stop romanticizing red flags. Yes, we gotta stop romanticizing red flags. Let me tell you something. Those red flags are not whispers, they're shouts. They're telling you something essential about the path you're on. Elevation requires honesty, especially with ourselves. Have you ever asked yourself, why am I drawn to potential over pattern? Let that sink in. I'm gonna say it again because you know sometimes we overlook these questions. Have you asked yourself, why am I drawn drawn to potential over patterns? Why do I overlook behaviors that run contrary to my own standards? Hmm, yeah. Mm-hmm. I'm guilty for it. If it feels wrong, it's probably is. Let me repeat that and let me say it for those in the back. If it feels wrong, it's probably is. Your intuition is a powerful tool. And let's talk about intuition because you know people be like, here she goes her intuition, here she goes seeing oh she feels. Your intuition is a powerful tool given you for a reason. It's given to you for a reason. Trust it to guide you. Don't allow no one to tell you you're bugging. Trust your intuitions, allow it to guide you. When you start trusting the internal compass, a surprising shift takes place. You move beyond fleet and feelings and start seeking real foundation. Discernment, discernment points out the cracks. Do you hear me? Discernment points out the cracks, but faith helps you understand who you truly are. After heartbreak, you need something solid to cling on. Yes, indeed. And that's where we find ourselves in strategy three. Anchor yourself in the truth. For me, that anchor comes from my faith. Romans 8 and 28 reminds us, and we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Yes, indeed. All things, the good, the bad, the ups and the downs. This means every painful moment, even those gut-wrenching betrayals, all serve a purpose. Here, here's where we mature, here's where maturity, right? Enters, right? You begin to stop axing. Why me? And start asking, what is this preparing me for? Yeah. Because you go from why why I had to be this person, I had to experience this. But you know what? Because we know that all things work for the good of those who love God, we begin to say, What is this preparing me for? And in those moments, that shift, that's elevation at its finest. But let's keep it real. Faith without introspection can lead us into the same old traps. You can recite your favorite scripture while still getting caught up in an unhelpful cycle. So after you anchor spiritually, confront yourself honestly, no shame, just responsibility, we have step four. We identify your chains without shame. Yes, indeed. Let's dig deep. What's been holding you back? Is it fear of being alone? Do you think you need validation from others? Are you mistaking intensity for genuine genuine intimacy? Write it down. Growth means taking ownership, not punishment, not punishing yourself, but to liberate yourself. I had to face the uncomfortable truth of where I'd settle for less, not because I wasn't valuable, but because I didn't yet fully realize my worth. That's awareness. It's where transformation ignites. Now, here's something you need to realize. Self-awareness is freeing, but isolation is dangerous. Healing in silence can cloud your perspective and twist progress into confusion. But most importantly, heal in a community. Find your tribe. Surround yourself with those who uplift you. Yes, you heard me, but also those who challenge you. Those who challenge you in a genuine and loving way. You're not meant to heal in isolation. Real growth multiplies in supportive spaces. Let me be vulnerable for a minute. I too thought I could navigate this alone. Where growth has taught me, strength lies in connection and community, not solitude. Those moments when I tried to do it on my own, my mind raced, I had thoughts, I overthought, I didn't process what really needed to be processed. Those moments of crying alone and you feeling like it's all your fault, it happens. But when you have supportive people who you can trust, who love on you, who don't mind hearing your story over and over, those are the moments you're releasing and you're not holding it in. You know they say that soda, that soda method, right? You just shake the soda, you shake the soda, and then it just explodes. Those, that's what happens when you try to hold things in all along by yourself. So I just want to just encourage you. We are not here to return better. We are here to elevate, to rise better, not hardened by our experiences, but enriched by them. Not perfect, but profoundly progressing. I stand here before you, not as Dr. New, who knows it all, but as someone committed to the daily act of surrendering. Each day I choose healing over the comfort of my ego. Each day I choose awareness over ignorance. Each day I seek guidance and clarity, that consistency, that's elevation, my friends. So I want to take this moment and let's do an affirmation and declaration together. So repeat after me. I am growing into the woman God has created me to be. I'm refined by it. I am healing with intention. I am walking in purpose. Every setback is an opportunity for my elevation. So take a moment, let that settle in. Baby girl, you're worthy. You worthy, you're worthy of love, you worthy of someone treating you kind. Don't allow this to stop you, or don't even let this pull you out of the game of love. When your time comes, there will be someone there to do it correctly. So healing is not a race, it's a journey. It may not be instant, but it becomes inevitable. Yes, when you set intentions for growth, yeah, and trust me, we are intentional about cultivating that growth here. Until next time, my sisters, stay real, stay accountable, stay open to becoming, and keep elevating. Keep elevating and keep elevating. I'll say it again, and keep elevating. And we're gonna keep elevating each other as we rise together. It's your girl, Dr. New. I love you, but God loves you more.
Daily Surrender And Consistency
