It’s been a while—I’ve been busy producing my new show, Best Band in America—but I’m back, and today we’re talking about something that can really make your life easier as a producer: paying crew and vendors with crypto, especially when you’re working in a foreign country.
Why Pay with Crypto?
- Speed & Simplicity – No currency conversion headaches or waiting on bank transfers.
- Safety – You don’t have to carry large amounts of cash through airports or into unfamiliar locations.
- Flexibility – Bitcoin and Ethereum, plus platforms like CashApp and others, make it easy to pay instantly if your crew or vendors are set up for it.
Smart Tips for Using Crypto Safely:
- Check Local Laws – Some countries restrict crypto transactions. Know the rules before you go.
