Episode 15: The New Democratic Party

On today's episode, Ian and Adam are joined by Sunjay and Sohali from College Democrats of America to discuss the democrat party as it stands today and how we can help improve it heading into the 2026 election and beyond. 

This episode's discussion revolves around the current failures of the democratic leadership, including Chuck Schumer's caving on the continuing resolution, allowing republicans to keep the government open and paving the way for cuts to medicare, medicaid, and social security. 

They also discuss how democrats can fix their messaging and the way they talk to prospective voters, including younger voters that the College Democrats of America are desperately trying to bring back from the fringe of the party to the mainstream. 

Other topics of discussion include how democrats can be tough on crime, while also investing in social programs to help mitigate crime on the front end. Democrats need to fix their immigration messaging and that starts with cohesive policy from top-to-bottom. Common sense immigration reform similar to the ideals of the 2007-2008 Barack Obama campaign is exactly where democrats need to be.
