Hey reimagineers, welcome back to the Disney Magical Mindset Podcast, where we don't just visit the magic as much as I love being in Disneyland, and I'm sure you love it too in any Disney park. But here we learn how to live it. I firmly believe that you don't have to simply be in a Disney park in order to experience the magic, to feel the magic, to believe in the magic. And today I want to share with you a moment that I had this week in Disneyland, standing in front of the Golden Horseshoe and hearing the amazing Disneyland band. It's one of my favorite things in Disneyland. They are so talented, so good, so amazing. And they're they're playing all these beautiful songs that we know, these Disney songs that we that we enjoy. And they started playing Dig a Little Deeper, you know, from Princess and the Frog. And in that moment, it it just hit me. You never have those those moments when you're hearing a song, whether that's in Disneyland or or Walt Disney World or on the radio, and it just hits you. Like you start thinking about things. And this song, something happened. Like because I realized it it wasn't just the song, but there's a question. And it's a very powerful question that just hit me in this song. So are you ready? Because here we go. So there I am, standing there, like I mentioned, in front of the golden horseshoe in Frontierland, and the Disneyland plan band is doing their thing. You know, uh, so amazing. The music, the energy, there's people around, smiling, uh, laughing. In fact, I saw a uh a dad with his daughter kind of dancing. It was just great. And and for a moment, everything there's just this joy, like it just feels lighter, right? Something happens, certainly when you enter a Disney park. Um, and there's all these little moments throughout the day that that just feels so special. And this felt like that, right? This is what life is supposed to feel like. Don't you don't you believe that? Don't you want that? And and then again, like something hit me as I'm as I'm listening and watching and enjoying this moment. Why is it that when we're in Disneyland or any Disney park, it's so easy to believe the magic. Like we're immersed in it, of course, we love it. There's something naturally that happens. I've been saying this when you're in a Disney park. Um, we all know that. But then we leave and we step out the gates, or we go home, we go back to the hotel, uh, drive back home like me, you know, uh, because um I don't live as close as I wish I did to a Disney park, so I gotta drive. And then when we're out there, we kind of expect things to fall apart. We almost expect not to find magic or experience magic. We we kind of just expect it to be that. When we leave, we almost feel like we've we've left the magic, or that somehow we're gonna go out there. And of course, like we're exposed to things that we see on TV or the news and everything that we hear, what's going on in our world. And so we almost just like automatically revert back to the reality of what we experience in live. And this is what gets me, and it gets me all the time because this is why I do what I do. This is why, you know, I believe in this re-imagination, right? To to reimagine what's possible because I want you to know that yes, we love going to Disneyland, and yes, we love being in a Disney park, but when you leave, the magic doesn't leave because you are the magic. And I'm gonna say this and I'm gonna keep saying this because I believe it. I want to keep reminding you, you do not go to a Disney park to get the magic. You go to be reminded of the magic that's in you. That's the power. And when you start living that, when you start believing that, the magic just unfolds ten, tenfold. You know, you start to experience it even more. And now your your time in a Disney park is elevated because you know that you bring the magic with you. Yes, it's there. Of course it is. That's why we love it, but it doesn't leave, it doesn't end because it's in you. See, we've trained ourselves, I think, to ask the wrong question. Here's the question that we typically ask. What if it doesn't work out? Tell me if you if if these questions resonate with you. What if it doesn't work out? What if I'm not good enough? What if I fail? What if I try and then you know I don't get to where I'm going? All these doubt questions, all these fear questions, you know, we start leading with doubt. That that's you know, we talk about the parade. I love the Disney parades that we get to experience. And oftentimes what happens is the parade that that leads our lives is starts with doubt or it starts with fear. And that has to change because you are the the one who leads the parade. So you get to determine what what it's gonna be. Like you get to determine who's gonna be leading that parade. Is it gonna be joy and happiness and belief and and um confidence and courage and all those things that make the parade so much better, right? Or is it gonna be fear that's gonna lead, or is it gonna be doubt that's gonna lead? See, we expect disappointment before we ever give ourselves a chance to succeed. And this is what gets me. I know this because I've been there. And at times, sometimes we go back to there where you you start um expecting disappointment before you even give yourself a chance to actually succeed. And what if you started with success? What if you started with belief? What if you started with this confidence that you are gonna do it? That it's gonna be amazing. Like, what if we flip all that? Isn't that why we love Disneyland? Isn't that why we enjoy the magic of Disney? Because it starts with that, and then somehow it just gets me. It's like we leave and we expect it not to go with us. And I'm like, no, that's gotta change. That's gotta change. Because there I was listening to this song, and then I flipped it because that song is just one of those, right? Dig a little deeper. It's just fun, it's you know, makes you want to dance and just brings joy out of you. And here is what we're gonna do. We're gonna change it, right? Instead of leading with fear or asking, what if it doesn't work out, or what if what if I fail? Here's what we're gonna change. I need you to do this. We're gonna do this together. Okay, ready? What if it actually works out? Yeah. What if it actually works out? Can we just start there first? Instead of always saying, What if it doesn't? What if it actually does? Like let's let's flip it because that's the magic of Disney. If you love Disney uh as much as I do and we love this, that's what it's about. It's about possibility and dreams and imagination and belief that anything is possible. That's why we love Walt Disney, and that's why I admire him. And he's he's a legend and he's my hero because he starts with that. It's gonna work out. There is success. We're gonna build Disneyland in one year. We're gonna make it happen. This is the mindset that we need because that's when the magic happens. Listen, think about Tiana and that song. Dig a little deeper, The Princess and the Frog. Great movie. And some of you, she might be your favorite princess. Amazing. Her story's amazing. I love the movie, I love the story. She doesn't sit around hoping for magic to show up, right? Even her, her, her father, she recognizes hey, dad out, daddy always told me fairy tales can come true, but it really depends on who? On you, right? You gotta make the magic happen. Like this is it's you, and that's what we've been continuing to just encourage one another with. She worked, she sacrificed, she stayed focused. But here's the key. Here's the key. Even when things got hard for Tiana, even when life didn't go according to plan, she didn't quit, she adjusted, she kept going, she dug a little deeper. I feel like every time I sing here dig a little deeper, I gotta sing it, right? This is that's the only way to do it. And that's what the song is really about. It's it's not just a catchy, you know, tune, although it is, but it's it's a challenge. It's saying there's more in you than you think, but you're gonna have to go past the surface to find it. So you gotta dig deeper because inside of you is is what you have to make it happen. So you gotta dig a little deeper. You you you gotta find happiness through that inner work, which is where the magic starts, right? Which is which is how it's just so powerful. I'm so encouraged by this song and this story and this movie, because that's what happens when you dig deeper. You go below the surface, right? You go below when you hear iceberg. What why do you think we we hear, or have you ever heard someone say the tip of the iceberg? Because typically the iceberg is like all you see is 10%. So you gotta go below, you gotta go to that 90% because that's where you got to dig. That's where the magic happens. That's where you go to push you to that place of success, right? Where you are doing the hard work. And sometimes the hard work when you dig deeper is that emotional discovery. It's that mindset, it's that shift in your mind so that you can actually do what you want to do. So you can reimagine the possible, right? What is possible, reimagine your happily ever after. That's what happens when you dig a little deeper. And if you're gonna go where you want to, you have to dig a little deeper. You just got to. You got to look beyond what is immediately visible. And that's sometimes what happens to many of us. We only see what we see in front of us. And so if we see something that's hard, if we see something that's difficult, if we see, you know, something that looks like an obstacle, then we start with doubt and we start with fear, and we start with, well, I don't know if I can do this because we see what's in front of us instead of seeing what's beyond, beyond, like the castle, right? Seeing what's beyond, seeing what's out there. And I'm just I'm I want you to know that you got this. You got this in you. So that's why you got to dig deeper because it's in you to believe, it's in you to have the confidence, it's in you to go further than where you've gone internally, so that you can experience your happiest place on earth. Whoo! Y'all got me going today. Yes, it's so good, man. I I'm I just appreciate you. I love y'all, man. I want you to experience the best life possible, and that's what I'm here for. I'm here to just remind you, all right, as your friend, as your bro, like we got this. Let's go, let's go. So, what if we flipped it? Instead of assuming it won't work, or starting with, I can't do this, or um, allowing doubt to take over and lead that story and hesitating because I'm not capable. What if we flipped it? Stop deciding the outcome before it starts. Or let me say this: if you're going to decide the outcome, start with belief instead of doubt. Like let that lead. Because I'm telling you, man, how you start is often how you you get to the end. It's it's often what determines the outcome. So what if we flipped it? That's what I want us to do today. This is the magical mindset lesson for today that you were gonna carry throughout this day, the rest of this week, and the rest of your happily ever after? What if we started asking a better question? Here's the question: what if it does work out? How about that? What if the opportunity you're sitting on right now is the one? What if success isn't miles away, but it's just on the other side of one more push, one more digging a little deeper? What if that success is all the way in Galaxy's Edge and you're on Main Street and you just gotta go? You just gotta keep going. See, sometimes, and and this is what I fear for a lot of us, and even for myself, is we leave, like we don't dig deeper, we don't push, we we just we just leave before the success, right? Because we're waiting and we're impatient and we're wondering and we're thinking. And during that time, that's when doubt creeps in and that's when fear creeps in. And so we leave before the success, we leave before the blessing, we leave before like the the powerful magical firework moment is coming, but you gotta hang in there, you gotta dig a little deeper, you gotta stay there because you you gotta just you gotta go for it, right? One more try, one more step, one more decision not to quit. We're not gonna quit. What if you really need? If all you really need is to dig a little deeper, you're gonna be singing that song all day. You just gotta dig a little deeper, you gotta start with it will work out. Success is mine, it is waiting for me. I can do this. Let's flip it. Come on. As Disney adults who love the magic, let's start with with that, with what I believe Walt would want us to start with. You can do this. We're going to build Disneyland. It's gonna happen. I know what everybody is saying, but I'm not listening to them because I'm not gonna allow them to steal my story. This is my happily ever after, and I get to determine what the outcome is gonna be by the way I start, by the way I'm I believe I'm starting. Like what I tell myself, that's gonna determine my story, the end. So we got this. All right, let's dig a little deeper together, and together believe that the best is yet to come. Together believe that it will work out, that it will happen, that I can do this. Yeah, we're gonna flip it. We're gonna dig a little deeper. So, as we end here, here's what I want you to take away in this moment, okay? Stop leading with doubt. Come on, stop. I'm I'm stop it. Ruben, I'm talking to myself too. Stop leading with doubt, stop assuming failure, stop taking yourself out of your own potential. You have it in you. I believe that. Instead, believe in yourself. Take the step, keep going, and dig a little deeper. Instead, I want you to flip it. What if it does work out? Come on, what if it does work out? What if success is right there waiting for you? Let's go, friends. Man, I say this with all my heart because I believe that you can reimagine the possible, that you can reimagine your happily ever after. And it starts with that power of believing in yourself, believing that yes, it will work out. Come on, let's go. Take that step and dig a little deeper. Man, I appreciate you all, man. I say this because I want you to experience your best life, and I want you to believe it will work out. All right, and when you start there, when you get there, guess what? That's where the magic begins. And now you start living like the magic is in you. Alright? Okay, reimagineers, have the best day ever. Go out there, you got this. We're gonna lead and start with it will work out. What if it does work out? It will work out. Let's flip it today. And if this episode was encouraging to you, if it motivated you, if it helped you today, would you please share it with someone else who needs this magical message? If you're not done so already, it would mean the world to uh leave a review so we can continue to share the magic with others who might be missing out on this magical mindset podcast. Much love to you. Have the best day, keep going, keep dreaming, keep believing, and remember, remember always, my dear reimagineer friends. You are the magic because the magic is in you.
