Hello, friends, and welcome back to the podcast. I am really looking forward to today's episode because I think that it's gonna really be helpful. So some of these episodes, I like to just kind of um, you know, look at the data and see what you guys need. And the data is very, very clear, whether it's those of you who are coming to me from the unstuck calls who just have no idea what where what you should be doing, um, or those of you who are joining the Profitable Myofunctional Therapist Facebook group, uh, when you join, I ask you a few questions. And without a doubt, unequivocally, the biggest stuck point for you guys is that you just don't know where to start. So I just kind of threw together some ideas on what I would do right now in my business if I didn't have any clients, okay? So we're gonna just get down and dirty and get tactical here. Uh, and I'm just I'm just gonna share if I was starting again what I would do. Now, with that to say, you guys, when I started my business almost a decade ago, the business climate was a little bit different. The business landscape uh was easier, okay? So the first thing that I would do if I was starting my business today and I had no clients is I would get clear on my who. You guys are gonna hear me bang on this drum time and time again. The reason is is because in today's business climate, I mean, go spend some time on social media. You are bombarded from every direction. And you need to know very specifically who that teeny tiny piece of the world that you're trying to reach, you need to know who that is. I know that you feel like if you cast a bigger net, you're gonna get more fish, but you're actually gonna get no fish because your message is going to be watered down. So if I was starting over and this week I had no clients, I would be getting very clear on my who. That's going to help you know exactly who you're speaking to, okay? Um, I am getting a lot of pushback from my coaching clients right now. And this is because they just feel so scared to really, you know, like micro, micro niche that in. So I'm going to tell you, if you don't know, like age-wise, yes, I want to work with children, or no, I don't, um, if you're just really struggling with that, then I'm gonna tell you that you need to niche in based on a person or a passion. And and what I mean by that is if you take your knowledge and you want it to really be like an inch wide and a mile deep, for example, rather than just speaking to, hey, I need everybody, I need everybody with a person, a pulse who's maybe mouth breathing, you are specifically reaching towards maybe it's somebody who struggles with sleep or somebody who is already diagnosed with sleep apnea. So that's what I mean by the passion. So if you aren't going to narrow it down by a person, you need to have basically a specialty, okay? You don't just go to, well, I guess you do go to your general practitioner, but if you have something that's seriously going on, you go to a specialist, okay? So the first thing you should do is get clear on your who. The next thing you need to do, my friend, if you have no clients this week, is you need to get straight in your cabeça, okay? You need to get your mind right. For many of you, this is the hardest work because the next thing I'm gonna talk to you about is setting your prices and coming up with your package. But so many of you guys have no confidence. You uh don't think you're you're afraid that nobody's going to pay you for your services. Um, and you just really don't have that belief in yourself, and that is going to shine through. You are going to mirror your beliefs to your human. Okay. And if you are not confident and saying, hey, this is the price of my services, they're not going to be confident in working with you. Okay. So get your mind right, get that belief in place. Okay. Um, so that leads me to number three. So this, you've heard me talk about this before. So this is knowing your unique myofunctional experience, okay? Inside and out. You know who your who is, and then you know what it looks like to work with you. Okay. So, what do the sessions look like? Um, this should be a package to my friend. If you're still selling single sessions, you're on your way to being bankrupt at some point. I know that sounds really, really tough, but it is hard to grow and scale your business if you do not have guaranteed income. And praying that Susie Q is actually going to come through and finish her therapy and pay for all of her sessions. Having helped thousands of people, I have a file that is it would blow your mind of people who don't finish therapy. So if those people had only paid per session, I wouldn't be living a life that I'm bonkers about because I I would probably be back to scraping teeth. Okay. So your UME, your unique myofunctional experience, this is your package. So you'll hear me call this like your offer, uh, your irresistible offer. I mean, it really should be irresistible, but this is your pricing, okay? This is everything. How are you delivering your sessions? What does that look like? How long are they? How are you going to support your client? What makes you different? I can tell you this, my friend. Somebody who waits on a waiting list to pay me$5,000 to work with me for a year is going to be different than the person who wants to work with you. Okay, so we each have our who. Um, and so I want you to know what sets you apart. So once you get clear on your who and you know what your package is, then um the next thing that you need to do is make sure people know what you do. So many of you are hiding a dirty little secret of, oh, I'm doing this thing. Okay, my friend, you are helping people. You are delivering a transformation that is going to change their lives. We are not peddling topperware here, okay? We are not doing some some Christmas ornament uh pedaling party or whatever type of pedaling parties they do these days. You are helping people, you are delivering a transformation that is going to change their life. And I don't say that to be all woo-woo. I've seen it time and time and time again. So once you know who your who is and you know everything you need to know about your package, okay, your unique myofunctional experience, make sure people know what you do. Please start with the people who are closest to you. So today, this week, you could reach out to everybody you know, friends and family. Let them know about your business, when you see clients, and who you help, because I can guarantee you that somebody you know, some of those 967 friends on Facebook that you have so carefully curated, I can guarantee you that at least one of those people knows somebody who snores, who feels like dirt, and who wants to change their life. Okay. They just don't know that you exist and you might be their little guardian angel today. So that's what I would do this week. Seems super simple. Okay. Um, get clear on your who, know what your package is, what makes you unique. Please do not charge per session. Get your mind right. If you're struggling with belief, you're going to struggle, struggle, struggle. Especially in my program. I want you to set up a premium practice. Okay. Life-changing transformation does not happen at Walmart, my friend. It happens working with somebody who uh is like you. Okay. So set your prices high and then deliver the value. Okay. Deliver that transformation. This isn't about price, it's about what you're going to do for that person. So once you have all that stuff, then start with the people who you know. Okay. Part of building out your marketing plan is finding out how you're going to reach those people. But my friend, let's start with the low-hanging fruit. Okay. Make sure people that you know know what you do. Make sure that a third or a fifth grader could explain it. Okay. So get very good at that. You will have confident conversations. So that's what you do. That's where you start, my friend. Okay. Um, you do not have to suffer. You do not have to suffer with this alone. If you're listening to this and you just want hand holding, then I got you. Okay. Whether you need the clinical training, whether you just need the business framework. And when I say framework, I'm saying you start with this and then you do this, and then you do this, and then you do this. And I'm gonna tell you, you go to this website and you do this and you click here and you fill this out. Like when I talk about step by step, I'm hand-holding you. Okay, we're trying to get you to that first client so you know what it's like, so you can start developing that confidence that you need, and then you can start building the business. And my friend, if you don't feel like you know whether you want a business right now, that's totally okay. Start with your foundational stuff because I would bet dollars to donuts, you're gonna get into the field, you're gonna start seeing what this is doing for people. You're gonna want your own business. Plus, I'm gonna be pushing you because build your dreams, not somebody else's. So that's it, my friend.
