Episode 4: Are You Being Wrongfully Influenced?
In this episode, we dive into the book of Genesis, exploring the theme of humanity's fallenness and how it affects the choices we make. As men, we're constantly navigating the influences around us—whether from culture, peers, or even our own desires. But how do we discern whether these influences are leading us closer to God or further away?
The quickest way to gauge this is by examining the fruit of your decisions. Are your choices drawing you nearer to God, to His Word, to His truth? Or are they pulling you into temptation, selfishness, and separation from Him? Genesis gives us a clear picture of what happens when we give in to wrongful influences. The story of Adam and Eve shows us that when we follow our own will, rather than God's, we inevitably move further from Him.
As men, it’s crucial to stay aware of these forces and develop a discerning spirit that helps us identify when we're veering off course. A relationship with God, constant reflection on Scripture, and accountability with fellow believers are key ways to stay grounded and make decisions that bring us closer to Him.
