In today's episode, Whitney unpacks the unique challenges faced by Christian entrepreneurs in the beauty industry, where financial worries and business uncertainties often test our faith. Drawing inspiration from Matthew 6:25-34, we explore how worry can be a sign of distrust in God's provision and how focusing on today's opportunities rather than tomorrow's anxieties can reshape our entrepreneurial journey. Being a Christian entrepreneur is not for the weak. Okay, it is hard, girl, like oh my goodness, but being a Christian entrepreneur in the beauty industry, that's a different type of a challenge and in today's episode we're gonna talk about it. We're gonna talk about the challenges we face being a Christian woman in the beauty industry and we're gonna talk about how the Lord can help us overcome those challenges. So I'm glad you found the podcast. Welcome, I'm glad you're here. My name is Whitney, I'm your host. So, yeah, girl, let's get into it. I feel the Lord leading me to talk about a common challenge that a lot of us are facing right now and we have difficulty talking about it. So this is a place where we could talk about it, girl, and one of those challenges is our lack of faith and trust in him. I feel him saying we need to stop worrying so much. We are worrying too much and we have to remember worry is not a characteristic of a Christian. When you worry, that means you do not trust God, that means you do not have faith in him, that means you don't believe that he will do what he said he will do in your business. So we need to give that worry to the Lord. He says in his word. He says to cast all your anxieties, cast all your burdens, cast it onto him. Give it to him. God says he can handle it. Give him the weight of the worry that you're holding on to. You have got to let it go. Some of you are worried about finances. Some of you are worried about the business idea he put in you. Some of you are fearful. We can't fear. We cannot fear. If you're a believer of Christ, you cannot fear. You have to trust and believe that he is going to guide you every step of the way. You have got to let that fear go. You have got to let that that he is going to guide you every step of the way. You have got to let that fear go. You have got to let that worry go and trust him. He gave you that idea for a reason. You feel like you don't know how you're going to pay the bill tomorrow. You don't know how you're going to make rent next month. God says trust him. You're feeling challenged in that area, but he says to trust him. Trust that he is going to provide for you. Trust that he is going to make that business idea come to fruition. Trust him.
Speaker 1:Why are you worrying? I feel the Lord saying do you not believe my word? Why don't you trust me? Why do you have so little faith in me? I feel the Lord saying haven't I proved to you? Haven't I shown to you in your life that I've been there? Haven't I shown to you that I'm a God that keeps my word, that I'm a God that is a promise keeper, I'm a God that does not lie, so why do you lack trust in him?
Speaker 1:I had that challenge in my business where my faith starts to waver, where I start to worry about things that haven't even come to pass yet. I start to worry about things that that's due next week, that's due next month. And I felt the Lord speaking to me this morning like why are you worrying about that? Focus on today. And he brought me to Matthew, chapter six, which is Matthew chapter six, verses 25 to 34.
Speaker 1:Girl, that whole scripture talks about not to worry and that scripture, just it, gives me so much hope and I just thank God. I thank God for who he is and I thank God for putting that word for us to read and for us to remember right. Jesus reminds us that you see the Lord taking care of his creations. So why can't you believe that he will take care of you, his most precious creation, the one he has created in his image? Why don't you believe he will take care of you? Because he will. God always provides for us, and in the last verse of the scripture, verse 34, it says therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about his own things. Sufficient for the day is his own trouble.
Speaker 1:So when I read that verse, it's like why am I so worried about all these things that haven't even happened yet? God is like just focus on today and whatever you're starting to worry about, give it to him. Don't even start to worry. God is like trust him. Trust him with that, stop worrying. He is going to provide, he's going to take care of you. Things are going to get done, and may his will be done in. His will will be done Right. We have to trust in that. So I want you to remember this scripture when you start to worry.
Speaker 1:Go into prayer immediately, because we, as children of God, as daughters of the Most High, our Abba, our Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, our Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, the scripture will remind us that he provides for us and we have no need to worry because he is taking care of us. He is taking care of us in this life. He is taking care of us with this business. He is going to provide the idea he put into you. It's going to happen. If he's telling you to expand your business, girl, it's going to happen. It may look like it's not going to happen. You may look at your situation in the physical and it looks like how is this going to happen, god? But he's saying it's going to happen. You got to have faith in me. You got to trust me, right? So I just hope the Lord leading me to tell you that, and I needed to hear that word myself. But I just hope the Lord leading me to tell you that, and I needed to hear that word myself. But thank you, holy Spirit, because we don't worry. There's no need for us to worry, right? Don't focus on what's going on in the world. Don't focus on what your competing business is doing. Focus on the Lord. Keep your attention on the Lord and with that, he is going to guide you every step of the way.
Speaker 1:Okay, so let's go into this next challenge that I feel like some of us are. We're dealing with right now and, girl, I've dealt with this a lot in my business, the first few years of my business and that challenge that a lot of us Christian entrepreneurs are facing is conforming to the world, and I know that's a hard one. That is a hard one. I found myself conforming, I found myself wanting to fit in, I found myself wanting to do business the way others in the world were doing. But you know what?
Speaker 1:As Christians, as daughters of God, we can't do that. We have to allow God to guide us and tell us what he wants us to do with these businesses, because these are kingdom businesses and we have to remember in our word I'm going to bring up in Romans, so I'm going to read Romans 12 too, and it says don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. So it seems like it's just easy to just go the way of the world, to just run our businesses the way the world is doing, promote our businesses the way the world is doing, and we can't do that. It says that in God's word, do not conform to the world. He's telling us that Do not conform, right, because when you don't conform, you allow God to do the transformation in you that he wants to do. When you give it to God, when you do business God's way, he is going to transform you in a way that only he can do. The world can't even compare to what God can do in you. But you have to allow him to come in and transform you and change your way of thinking.
Speaker 1:And the problem with the world's way of thinking is they're so focused on the world. They're so focused on this world, this day and age, this timeframe, not realizing that the world is dying. Our eyes, as Christians, are supposed to be focused on eternity Right. Our focus is on eternal life with the Lord. That's where we need to focus on the way of the world is dying. We don't want to go that way and God warns us not to go that way. He wants us to have life. He has given us life. Jesus has came down to die for our sins so that we can have a new life, be a new creation, be with him in eternity. Right, but you have to allow God to come in and transform you, allow him to do the work in you. So only when he transforms your way of thinking, then you will know his will for you. He transforms your way of thinking, then you will know his will for you, then he can start revealing things to you to do what he's called you to do in that business of yours. But you can only know God's will for you if you allow him in to transform your way of thinking and if you don't conform to what the world is doing. Yes, girl, I know it's hard. Yes, it's challenging. Yes, I know it looks like the world is out here winning, but they're not. God's team is the winning team, girl. Eternity with Jesus is the winning team. That's the place to be, not the way of the world.
Speaker 1:And the devil has made it seem like it's so good to be doing what they are doing in the world. The devil is really good at tricking us. The devil is really good at tricking us. The devil is really good at deceiving us. But we have to remember God is bigger than the devil and we have to remember it says in the word Jesus, the victory is already the Lord's. Listen the devil. His butt's about to be kicked. Okay, his days on earth is very little. His time is running out and we have to remember that our ways have to please God. We have to do what is pleasing to the Lord and we have to let him in. Do the renewal in our minds, do the changes in our heart, because it's about building up for his kingdom. Our businesses is not even about us. Our businesses is about his kingdom.
Speaker 1:And once people see the goodness of God through you and through your business, god is going to get the glory. They're going to see the realness of God. They're going to see the trueness of God through you, through your obedience, through you not conforming, through you not worrying. You got to remember we have to always keep God first in everything. Remember, we have to always keep God first in everything. So, as we come up on these challenges that we face as Christian entrepreneurs in this beauty industry, there's three things I want you to remember. First, if your challenge that you're going through has led you into sin, you have to go to God and repent, repent to him for your ways and then allow him to renew your mind and to renew your way of thinking so that he can reveal to you what he has called you to do in this business.
Speaker 1:The second thing is to read the scripture. When you read the Bible, you are going to discover the truth, and reading that scripture is going to help you remember what God has said in his word and remembering that his word is true and that God does not lie. And when we remember what God says in his word, it helps us overcome these hard things that we're facing. It helps us to remember how good God is. It helps us to remember that our Abba is there, that he loves us, that he's not leaving us out here. He hasn't forsaken us. He knows it's hard out here. Listen, jesus walked this earth. He knows it's hard out here, but he also knows that with his strength, you're going to get through it. He just wants you to trust him. He wants you to have faith in him. That's what he's calling from you is to trust him and have faith. And then the last thing is to remember what he's done in your life already.
Speaker 1:When I sit back and reflect on what God has already done in my life, girl, I'll be sitting here, mind blown. I'll just be like, wow, done in my life, girl, I'd be sitting here mind blown. I'd just be like, wow, and I'm sitting here doubting my Lord. I'm sitting here worrying when I've already seen what he has done. I've already seen the miracles he's done in my life. Dear God, how can I even doubt you when you've already proved yourself to me, when I've already read in your word the type of God that you are? How could I even doubt you? How could I even sit here and worry? I know you got me. We can't let the enemy get in our minds and distort it. And to think that God doesn't have us, to think that God has left us out here he hasn't. God is with us throughout this whole process of living life here, until we are with him in eternity. He is here for us. He is with us every step of the way.
Speaker 1:So just remember those three R's when you're facing a challenge, that is to repent, repent and renew, to read your Bible, read that scripture, and to remember. Remember who God is as our Father, remember who God is as our Lord. He is a good, good God. And bring every challenge that you're facing bring it to the Lord, bring it to his feet, bring it to him in prayer, pray to him, to his feet, bring it to him in prayer, pray to him, talk to him. Talk to him like we talking. God's ready to listen, he's ready to be there for you. Just bring it to him and I promise you he is going to give you the comfort and the peace that it's going to be okay Because it is that it's going to be OK because it is. It is, and I know running these businesses. There's days this is hard and there's days you feel like you want to give up. But don't, don't let the enemy win. Remember, the victory is the Lord's OK.
Speaker 1:So I hope this message brought you some encouragement. I truly hope it did, girl. It encouraged me. I needed to hear this word because, listen, I I be facing some challenges. I do, but I know that. I know the Lord's got it. I know he does and it's going to be OK. And I'm just going to do my best to be obedient. I'm going to always go into prayer with him.
Speaker 1:And I told God when I started, when I started Beauty Business for Christ, this is the ministry. And I told God I'm like just use me as your vessel, lord, just use me, okay, just use me as your vessel. I just want to speak the truth and I just want you to speak through me to get to the women who you need to get to, and that's what this, that's, that's what this is all about. But, girl, I thank you for tuning in and I invite you to share this with another woman entrepreneur who may need to hear this message. If you know any other women entrepreneurs in the beauty industry, share this episode with her. Like this episode, if you enjoyed it, I want you to leave a comment and let me know what is one good thing that God has done for you and your business. I know there's more than one good thing, girl, but just drop one good thing God has done in your business just to give other women hope out there to see how good of a God that we serve. Okay, girl, and we'll chat later. Bye.
