Speaker 1:

Welcome to Perry's Politics. I'm your host, dan Perry. I hope you enjoyed our first episode. Thank you for tuning in again today. In our first episode, we covered Rhode Island Democrats' epic failures on key issues such as our economic state infrastructure and their incompetent leadership. Our great country has been decimated over the last four years under sleepy Joe Biden from inflation to the immigration crisis to disastrous foreign policy. These are among the many reasons why we overwhelmingly voted President Donald J Trump into office. The 2024 election will go down as one of the most crucial elections of all time. The inauguration we just saw was one that the American people will never forget, with so many unforgettable moments we are going to dive into. We will take a deep dive into all of his actions over the first two days of his presidency as well. I hope you enjoy this episode and remember to follow us on social media to stay updated with everything related to Perry's politics. Before we dive into Trump's inauguration, let's do a quick recap of the 2024 election.

Speaker 1:

The 2024 presidential election was one of a kind. I am not sure we will ever see an election like that in our lifetime again. It started with an epic rematch from 2020 between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. However, after the June 27 debate between Biden and Trump, everything changed. Joe Biden had such a poor debate performance I mean it has to be one of the worst political showings of all time Definitely the worst debate. Biden could not form coherent sentences, he could not challenge Trump on policy and he made it clear to the public that he was beyond unfit to be commander-in-chief. There was one time he stumbled so bad. Trump even said I have no idea what he said and I don't think he does either. It's something that Republicans have been saying all along, but the media have actually had to face the facts.

Speaker 1:

After this debate or at least we thought Somehow the mainstream media and the Democrats continued to work to cover up his mental decline. They claimed his dropping out was about letting a new generation lead, but it was because he was completely unfit to be president. It was not until after the election that the media finally started to cover how bad Biden's mental decline was. The Wall Street Journal finally released an article with over 50 sources saying that his significant aging started very early on. In the four years His staff limited the people and the information that got to the President of the United States of America, the most powerful man in the world had to have the people and the information that was getting to him limited. Senate Arms Chairman Adam Smith at the time was never able to get in touch with POTUS. They routinely had to move meetings, such as national security meetings, because his mental acuity was so bad. Our commander-in-chief was so unfit to do his job that his staff ran the show. Unfit to do his job that his staff ran the show. Imagine if this happened on the Republican side.

Speaker 1:

This horrible performance led to Kamala Harris becoming the Democratic nominee. I'm sure everyone can remember how they completely circumvented the primary process, pushing voters' choices aside, and made her the new nominee. I mean this sequence of a sitting president being so incompetent and delusional that he had to drop out of the race and then the Democrat silent leaders swapped in Kamala Harris. I highly doubt we will ever see that again, or so we hope. Kamala turned out to be like Biden. Everything that came out of her mouth was always a big nothing burger and word salad. Everything that came out of her mouth was always a big nothing burger and word salad. She was a candidate of no substance and nothing but a fake smile. Remember she always said she was the party or the candidate of joy. The only time her campaign had any substance besides, don't vote for the big bad orange guy who's a threat to democracy is when she stole Trump's policies, like no tax on overtime, no tax on tips, and she even started stealing his immigration policies at one point. And not only did she steal policies, but she ran through $1.5 billion in five months, with most of that money being spent on celebrities to talk down to Americans and tell them who to vote for, which clearly backfired.

Speaker 1:

While Kamala ran one of the worst political campaigns, right behind Biden in 2020, president Trump and his team ran one of the best campaigns. Trump had the iconic garbage truck scene where he rode an America a great again garbage truck. After Joe Biden called his supporters garbage, trump went to McDonald's to serve people food because he wanted to prove he worked at McDonald's more than Kamala, who claimed she worked there, but McDonald's has no record of that. He went on podcasts like Theo Vaughn, logan, paul Sean Ryan, joe Rogan which he greatly attributes to Barron's advice, and all of that podcasting world. The tour he went on took the social media by storm, and then Trump owned the headlines for the last four months of the election Leading to November 5th 2024, when Donald Trump was voted in as president.

Speaker 1:

He received 312 electoral college votes of 226, sweeping all seven swing states. He won the popular vote 49.9% to 48.4%. Thank God, we won the popular vote so we don't have to listen to the Democrats wanting to abolish the electoral college again. This was a clear and decisive win for the president-elect. Republicans also retained the House majority and won the Senate majority as well, allowing for an entire Republican government. I pray that the Senate and House work to confirm all Trump's nominees and work together to pass meaningful legislation to get our country back on track legislation to get our country back on track.

Speaker 1:

But I would be remiss if I didn't hit on one point in the election that we didn't talk about. On July 13th 2024, there was an assassination attempt on President Trump. Bullets whizzed by his head, one catching his ear during his speech in Butler Pennsylvania. During his speech in Butler Pennsylvania, a shooter got within 300 yards, ultimately getting numerous shots off, and came millimeters from taking President Trump's life. How did this happen to a former president and current nominee at the time? It was an epic fail by the Secret Service and one that no one no one has been held accountable for. Yet we have had no answers, and I hope Trump, now being the president, will get us the answers about that that we deserve.

Speaker 1:

But this event changed the election and it changed Trump. He became a man more devoted than ever before to God. He knows God saved his life by millimeters and he wants to leave a legacy behind now that helps America become the country we all love and are proud of again. He said this in his inaugural address, but I felt then, and believe even more so now, that my life was saved for a reason I was saved by God to make America great again. I love this quote and felt his sincerity when saying it. Now let's dive in deeper into his inauguration speech.

Speaker 1:

It all began inside the rotunda at the US Capitol, a beautiful ceremony where Trump delivered a powerful speech to kick off his presidency. His words radiated optimism, strength and unity, setting the tone for a new era. He boldly declared it, and wasn't he right? Since his victory, a renewed sense of hope has swept across the nation. At the heart of his message was a commitment to putting America first, restoring common sense, reclaiming our sovereignty, securing our borders and ending the weaponization of the Justice Department, the Justice Department. No longer will we pour resources into solving everyone else's problems. Instead, we'll focus on our own taking care of the forgotten people in North Carolina and addressing the struggles in Los Angeles, from fixing our broken healthcare and education systems to ambitious goals like sending American astronauts to Mars.

Speaker 1:

Trump's vision was clear. His entire speech was a roadmap for the next four years, outlining his commitment to building a stronger, safer and more prosperous America. Trump emphasized that his proudest legacy would be that of a peacemaker and unifier, with the message of optimism he declared I stand before you now as proof that you should never believe something is impossible to do In America. The impossible is what we do best. He reassured the nation, promising with your help, we will restore the American promise and rebuild the nation we love, starting today, and it will change very quickly. Unity was at the core of his speech as well. He reminded Americans we are one people, one family and one glorious nation under God. To every parent who dreams for their child and every child who dreams for their future, I am with you, I will fight for you and I will win for you. We are going to win like never before. Trump also took a moment to honor Martin Luther King Jr Day, pledging to strive together to make his dream a reality. In a powerful closing, trump promised a future where America will be respected and admired again by people of faith, goodwill and the world. He assured we will be prosperous, proud, strong and we will win like never before. We will not be conquered, intimidated or broken. From this day forward, the United States will be a free, sovereign and independent nation. We will stand bravely, live proudly, dream boldly.

Speaker 1:

Next was the victory parade that took place at Capital One Arena instead of the streets of Washington DC due to the extreme cold weather. After the indoor parade and speech, president Trump sat at a desk on stage to sign some of his executive actions in an arena packed with his supporters. Each action was announced and then signed by Trump as the crowd chaered for each one. We have never seen a president sit in an arena sign executive orders as a crowd loudly cheers for his efforts. It was truly something you would see in a movie and definitely something I'm not sure we will ever see again. But hey, that's Donald Trump for you.

Speaker 1:

After wrapping up at the Capital One Arena, trump headed to the White House to sign even more executive orders, something we'll dive into later. As he sat at the Resolute desk, he took on a full 60-minute Q&A session, something we haven't seen from a commander-in-chief in four very long years and, let's be honest, an unscripted session like that is something Joe Biden could have never pulled off. Trump answered every question with confidence and seemed genuinely happy to engage with the media and share his plans. It was refreshing to see transparency back in the White House. One of the standout moments from that time at the Resolute Desk in this Q&A was a lighthearted exchange between Trump and Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy. Doocy asked if Biden had left him a note prompting Trump to rummage through his desk and plow an envelope addressed to 47. Laughing, he said wow, thanks, Peter. I don't know if I would have found that. Should we read it together? No, I should probably read it first and report back. Thanks, peter. I don't know if I would have found that. Should we read it together? No, I should probably read it first and report back. The easy banter between them felt natural and unscripted, something we haven't seen in a long time. It was a reminder of what normal open communication in the White House looks like and, honestly, it's exactly what this country has been waiting for. We no longer have a president that's hiding in the Oval Office, that can't talk to reporters, that can't talk to Mike Johnson alone, or all these other things we saw during the Biden White House. We now have a commander-in-chief willing to talk to the American people, talk to the American reporters, answer questions, lay out a plan and actually get things done. It's exactly what our country needs is done. It's exactly what our country needs.

Speaker 1:

Trump concluded his inauguration day with three wonderful balls the Commander-in-Chief Ball, the Liberty Ball and the Starlight Ball, from the First Lady and POTUS's first dance to Vance and Trump cutting the cake with swords to Trump doing his famous YMCA dance with the sword from the cake cutting ceremony in his hand. It was a night of fun, a night of celebration, a night of remembering everything that happened over the last four years, leaving that behind and entering the golden ages of America. President Trump, first Lady Melania, vice President Vance and Second Lady Usha all looked so stunning and happy. Usha was smiling ear to ear all night, sharing many laughs with JD. Melania was seen singing with President Trump and even doing his signature YMCA dance with him at one point. Here they were at midnight because, you know, trump was behind schedule and he was still dancing and celebrating the longest day of celebrating and accomplishing so much. Yet he had enough energy to continue celebrating on. Joe Biden couldn't even attend meetings or make it through a day without napping. Yet our new president is celebrating his momentous victory and election and all the work he's about to get done. This new administration is beyond energetic and it is refreshing.

Speaker 1:

Now let's dive deeper into some of the major actions President Trump has taken in just two days. On the first day alone, he signed over 200 executive orders to tackle the problems of our country faces. These moves are already setting the tone for his administration and showing his commitment to his campaign promises. First up, restoring freedom of speech and ending federal censorship. President Trump signed an executive order to immediately stop all government censorship and bring back free speech to America. This is a huge step towards ensuring that every American can express their opinions without fear of government interference. By eliminating government censorship, trump aims to foster a more open and honest public discourse. The government has no place to tell us what we can or can't say, what we can or cannot think, no place to tell us what we can or can't say, what we can or cannot think. Government has no right to censor and I am happy to see the Trump administration tackling that issue.

Speaker 1:

Next, ending the weaponization of the federal government. Trump has vowed to reclaim our sovereignty and restore our safety and rebalance the scales of justice. The unfair weaponization of the Justice Department and our government will end. This move is intended to ensure that government agencies operate impartially and justly. We just saw four years of the federal government weaponized against Donald Trump. The Democrat machine threw everything they could at Trump to try to hurt him so that he could not get elected. They had cases from AG Garland, james Fannie Willis Bragg all headed up cases with no merit against Trump to influence the election. The government in no way should be weaponized. But it was under the Democrats and that's over.

Speaker 1:

He is also restoring accountability to policy-influencing positions within the federal workforce. This move ensures that those influential positions within the federal workforce are held accountable for their actions and decisions. By implementing stricter oversight, trump aims to prevent misuse of power and ensure that policies are made in the best interest of the public. This moves a large number of federal workers to appointed positions, making it easier to remove them from their duties. Too many times. Government employees are becoming useless bureaucrats, and this will help stop that.

Speaker 1:

Trump has signed several key executive orders aimed at restoring traditional values and cutting government waste. These include defending women from gender ideology extremism and restoring biological truth to the federal government, ending radical and wasteful government DEI programs, and preferencing and reforming the federal hiring process to restore merit to government service. With these actions, trump is putting an end to policies that push race and gender preferences into every aspect of public and private life. The US government will now officially recognize only two genders male and female. Who would have thought? A move designed to promote a merit-based society and reinforce traditional values? Merit-based society and reinforce traditional values. By eliminating costly DEI programs, trump aims to redirect resources to more impactful initiatives and cut down on government waste. In fact, all federal employees working in DEI roles have been ordered to go on paid leave by 5 pm Wednesday, as these offices and programs are being shut down. This marks a major step in rolling back radical left-wing policies and tackling unnecessary government spending, putting an end to inflated salaries for positions that were not necessarily in the first place. These were made-up jobs. We've already seen private companies move in this direction and now the federal government is following suit. Hopefully others will take notice and do the same. Government is following suit. Hopefully others will take notice and do the same. Additionally, trump is reforming the federal hiring process to ensure that merit, not DEI, is the primary factor in government service. This shift aims to build a more competent and efficient workforce, free from ideological influence and focused on real results.

Speaker 1:

Holding former government officials accountable for election interference and improper disclosure of sensitive government information was another executive action he signed. Trump has made it clear that the immense power of the state will never again be weaponized to persecute political opponents. Under his leadership, fair, equal and impartial justice under the constitutional law will be restored. This action is intended to deter future misconduct and uphold the integrity of government operations. This stripped 51 former intelligence officials of their security clans and stopped intelligence officials from providing any information to campaign for electioneering purposes another move in stopping the weaponization of the federal government.

Speaker 1:

Trump has introduced several major directives aimed at prioritizing American interests and strengthening national security. Strengthening national security these initiatives include the American First Policy Directive to the Secretary of State, securing our borders, protecting the American people against invasion, clarifying the military's role in border security and reevaluating and realigning US foreign aid. Each of these efforts is designed to put the needs of Americans first, both at home and abroad. Trump believes that a strong, no-nonsense approach to foreign and domestic policy will serve the nation and its citizens best. In a bold move, trump has declared a national emergency at the southern border, taking swift action to stop illegal entry and begin deporting millions of criminal aliens. He's reinstated the successful Remain in Mexico policy, ended catch and release and deployed troops to strengthen border security. These efforts are all part of a broader push to restore law and order, address illegal immigration and finally bring an end to the border crisis.

Speaker 1:

On national security, trump is laser focused on protecting American sovereignty. His administration is implementing tougher measures to ensure the safety of our borders and citizens from foreign threats. He also clarified the military's role in defending the nation by directing the Secretary of Defense to develop a clear plan to secure territorial integrity by utilizing every available resource. Trump is making it clear that national security and border enforcement remain top priorities. Another critical move is Trump's reassessment of US foreign aid, ensuring that taxpayer dollars are spent in ways that directly benefit America and its allies. He argues that it's time to stop pouring billions into countries like Ukraine while Americans at home continue to struggle. Just look at North Carolina still recovering from Hurricane Helene months later, or the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. Why are we sending $500 million overseas when our own communities are in crisis? Trump's focus is clear Stop getting involved in every foreign issue and start prioritizing our own citizens. Prioritizing our own citizens. These actions reinforce Trump's unwavering commitment to putting America first, ensuring that resources are directed where they are needed most, right here at home.

Speaker 1:

Trump is taking decisive action to protect the United States from foreign terrorists, criminal organizations and other national security threats. His latest directives include designating cartels and other organizations as foreign terrorist organizations and specially designated global terrorists, and restoring the death penalty to protect public safety. These measures are designed to strengthen national security and ensure the safety of the American people. By using the full force of federal and state law enforcement, trump is cracking down on foreign gang networks that pose a serious threat to our communities. Designating these groups as terrorist organizations will give law enforcement the tools they need to dismantle them more effectively and bring criminals to justice. In addition, trump is reinstating the death penalty for certain crimes as part of his commitment to restoring law and order. He believes this measure will act as a strong deterrent against serious offenses and deliver justice to victims and their families. Through these efforts, trump is reaffirming his commitment to protecting American citizens and ensuring that law enforcement has every resource available to combat crime and terrorism.

Speaker 1:

Also, trump is withdrawing the US from World Health Organization and the Paris Agreement. Trump has decided to pull the US out of the World Health Organization, citing the need for greater accountability and effectiveness in global health governance. He believes that the World Health Organization has failed to adequately address global health crises and that the US can better manage its health policies independently. In both of these organizations, the US is paying significantly more than other countries. The Paris Agreement is a one-sided ripoff. China pollutes more than anyone else, yet we pay more than anyone else. These are some of the actions that are just the beginning of what promises to be a transformative presidency. Speaker of the House, mike Johnson, said these executive orders are laying the groundwork for the work of the House and Senate are going to focus on over the next two years and hopefully four years under Trump.

Speaker 1:

On Tuesday, president Trump announced a $500 billion investment into AI infrastructure by Oracle, softbank and OpenAI for a project called Stargate, softbank and OpenAI for a project called Stargate. This project will be fully completed in America, creating 100,000 American jobs with expectations for further growth. They are currently building in Texas, starting with 10 data centers, and plan to expand to 20 very soon. Technology is the future of our world, whether we like it or not, so it is important that America dominates in this space and becomes the number one competitor in technology. In the press conference, they talked about how this AI investment could significantly impact the medical industry.

Speaker 1:

The AI technology could greatly improve the cure rate for diseases, with expectations for rapid advancements. The Oracle CEO mentioned how AI could be instrumental in developing a cancer vaccine. He explained that there are very tiny fragments of cancer tumors that float in your blood. By taking a blood test, you can see if your blood contains these cancer fragments and AI could analyze that blood test to. You can see if your blood contains these cancer fragments and AI could analyze that blood test to detect what cancer is occurring. It would then gene sequence the tumor so that they could design a vaccine for each individual person's cancer, which could be robotically done in 48 hours. The vaccine would be made directly for your personal disease and cancer. This could be a game changer in detecting, treating and curing diseases and cancers. They also mentioned how AI could listen in to the doctor-patient conversations and provide suggestions on diagnoses and treatments. This could save many lives and would be very good for our standing on the world stage to lead the charge on this.

Speaker 1:

And that wraps up today's episode of Perry's Politics. In just two days, president Trump has already accomplished so much, from announcing a groundbreaking $500 billion investment in AI infrastructure to signing over 200 executive orders bringing transparency back to the White House. His energy and dedication are truly setting the stage for what promises to be an incredible four years ahead. Thank you for tuning in. I hope you enjoyed our deep dive into these historic moments. Be sure to follow us on social media to stay updated with everything related to Perry's politics. Together, let's keep the hope and optimism alive as we look forward to a bright future for our great nation. Until next time, I'm Dan Perry and this is Perry's Politics. Today's verse felt fitting for a moment like this Jeremiah 29, 11 says For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope you.
