Adorned in Abundance: A Guided Meditation Journey

Yelena Mogilev Season 1 Episode 6

Welcome, dear ones. In this episode, I invite you to unlock the door to abundance—not as something distant or hard to reach, but as a living, breathing presence already woven into the fabric of your life. Together, we’ll explore the transformative shift from a scarcity mindset to the limitless potential that’s always within and around you.

I’ll guide you through a soulful journey inspired by the radiant spirit of Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of abundance. But before we dive deep, I’ll share a light-hearted story (because, let’s be honest, life is a cosmic joke sometimes) to gently set the tone for gratitude and appreciation.

Through this guided meditation, you’ll be invited to pause, breathe, and truly take stock of the richness you already hold—whether it’s love, family, friendships, simple pleasures, or the beauty of your own existence. This isn’t just a meditation; it’s an invitation to adorn yourself with the awareness of how abundant you already are.

Let’s savor the moment, embrace what’s here, and call in even more.

✨ Featured Deck: The Goddess Oracle
This meditation is from The Goddess Oracle by Amy Sophia Marashinsky, beautifully illustrated by Hrana Janto. This deck has been a beloved companion on my own journey, gifted to me by a dear friend and infused with wisdom that continues to guide and inspire. In this episode, you’ll meet Lakshmi through its pages—a goddess whose energy radiates abundance, beauty, and the reminder that we are already whole.

Speaker 1:

hello, hello, dear ones. It is so good to be in sweet, delicious conversation with you again, as always. Okay, so today I have a meditation offering for you. I would say that it is something that you can listen to, just like a trance, and let it tune out if you want to Again, just like the background. You'll get what you get and, if you desire, you can actually do this as a guided meditation. The theme is abundance.

Speaker 1:

So today I have pulled this meditation, the skeleton of it, the visual and the journey that I will take you on, from the Goddess Oracle by Amy Sophia Marashinsky, illustrated by Hrana Janto. And it is one that came into my life in the following pattern my dear friend Maria, who I love, I've known for many, many, many, many years, almost 20. Her shaman had this deck and loved it and swore by it, and so she loved it as well and gifted it to me and it has served me really, really well. And I pulled a card for a dear friend earlier and decided to share it with you all. So the theme is abundance. It starts with a poem and the transmission of this card is Lakshmi. So actually I'm going to start before I get into the poem and the details. I'll start with the mythology and give you some essence of Lakshmi. In this photo, to give you a visual, she is standing on a lotus flower in the middle of the ocean with a beautiful, beautiful caramel skin, a red sarong around her waist that goes all the way to her ankles, her upper body, from her belly and her breasts, and everything is open. She is heart open. Four hands one of her right arms is descended down where money, coins, gold coins, pour from it. The other left, lower hand is holding a green vessel, kind of against her belly, and the other right hand and left hand are both holding lotus flowers. She has a beautiful, beautiful rose-flowered earrings, a bindi, a beautiful necklace with a flower across her collarbone, a stunning rose-flowered crown just against her head and this beautiful arch of gold above, and there are two elephants with their trunks up showering her with water and love and the illumination of the gold glow of the sun is behind her. I hope you like these visuals. I really find that it's super helpful to transport you into this world and if you don't, sorry, friends, I think in visuals. So it is what it is, okay.

Speaker 1:

The mythology of Lakshmi. Worship of Lakshmi began prior to the Aryan invasion of India, to the Aryan invasion of India. She is considered the animating force or Shakti of Vishnu the preserver. Her sacred animal is the cow, symbol of abundance and plenty. She appears here with elephants pouring water, another symbol of her powerful abundance. Although described as floating on the eternal sea of time, resting on a lotus, hindus say that the gods churned the sea of creation, from which Lakshmi appeared in all her splendor. How exquisite.

Speaker 1:

Okay, and now into the musings and the poem about abundance, inviting you to allow these words to float over you, to coat you like healing sweet elixir, to absorb into your body in whatever way feels most nourishing, in whatever way feels most nourishing. I am the ever-flowing out-pouring of plenty, the inexhaustible, the never-ending from the fullness of my being. I give richly and opulently, generously and copiously, luxuriously, and For I cannot be contained. I am everywhere and will never cease to be. Hmm, that's so exquisite. And so now I'm going to just share the meaning of this card. So, if you're interacting with this, just take this meaning and this offering to meet you wherever it does and, again, keep what works and discard the rest.

Speaker 1:

Lakshmi appears in your life to tell you it is time to nurture wholeness by recognizing and living from abundance. Is your existence defined and contained by the parameters of scarcity rather than abundance? Are your finances based on a poverty consciousness rather than limitlessness and plenty? Is your outlook on life one of never having enough rather than of having your needs met? Let yourself open to the abundance, the bounty that exists in your world. Lakshmi says that abundance is hard to perceive if lack, poverty and scarcity dominate your consciousness. The way to wholeness for you lies in opening to the flow of abundance in the universe and recognizing the abundance in your life. When you open to the flow, you become part of it and you draw it to you. When you become aware of the abundance in your life in all its forms family, love, beauty, talent, humor, etc. You, it is so important to take stock that of which we have, we enjoy, we can savor. And, yes, it's always great to want more and new and expansion. And it is really hard sometimes to expand when we don't fully, when we haven't taken stock and fully expressed profound gratitude and appreciation for and are aware of how full our life actually is.

Speaker 1:

So actually I'll take a moment to give a fun interlude of a joke, because life is a cosmic joke. You've heard me talk about this before, but I like to sandwich the deep, intense, whatever that is, with some facetiousness and playfulness. And so the joke and I will paraphrase it. I will not do it perfectly, it's okay, friends, but I hope you enjoy it regardless.

Speaker 1:

So a man comes to his doctor complaining about his wife, that he's miserable in his marriage and he's just like hating his life. He's truly just so in dire straits, so upset, just devastated, cannot function. It's truly just so in dire straits, so upset, just devastated, cannot function. He's so unhappy, and this man lives on a farm. So the doctor says ask him if he has a horse. And he says, yes, this is okay, bring the horse into the house so they live.

Speaker 1:

I guess the construct of this parable is they live in a single room, I guess cabin, him and his wife, the animals, all the time. And so he brings the horse in, okay, and the guy comes back and he's like, okay, like now I have this horse. And the doctor's like, yes, yes, yes, it's fine, bring in the cow. So he brings in the cow and to speed it up, the doctor, essentially, you know, asks him to bring in the goats and the chickens, and so now everybody's in the house, the wife and the animals, and it's a total cluster fudge of insanity. And he comes back freaking out to his doctor and his doctor goes to him yeah, I know, that's fine, you can release all the animals, just you know. Uh, bring it back to the way it was when it was just you and your wife.

Speaker 1:

And the man comes back and released all the animals back into the land and then it's just him and his wife and he's like, oh, I'm so thankful, it's just us, I'm so grateful. And so, yes, I'm not going to say it perfectly, but essentially you get it right that he couldn't appreciate his wife, who was there when he was creating all of this story and construct Discontent. It was just him, his wife, and the third one in their bed was the discontent, the stories he had about who she is, how she is, how she's not how she bothers him, how she doesn't bother him, mainly how she bothers him clearly. And then all the animals made him bananas in 10x more ways than his wife ever did. And now they're outside and so he can truly appreciate that which he already always had, which was her, in a new way.

Speaker 1:

So I veered us off the train to the other path to come back to the meditation, but to bring the lesson, the invitation, home it's really really, really, really important to take stock of how abundant our lives truly are right now, in whatever way that they are, because very often when we do, there's so much more that we notice that we hadn't before. So now there's a delicious ritual that I am going to invite you to that Amy Sophia Maroschinsky shares. I think it's just a lovely, simple practice, and then I'll go into the meditation, but I'm sharing for you, for those, for some of you, who are deep into this work, this you may have done this thousands of times before. You're welcome to do it again from the lens of innocence, if that feels good. For those of you that this is completely new for you're. Either way, wherever you are, you are literally perfect wherever you are, so you're welcome to keep what works, pull it towards you in whatever way it does and discard the rest. Okay, so the ritual suggestion flowing with Lakshmi Find a time and a place when and where you will not be disturbed.

Speaker 1:

You will need a paper and a pen, so maybe pause here and take some time to get it. Make a list of all that you have in your life, for example, a home, lover, beauty, clothes, health, animals, etc. And I'll repeat it again, if you're doing it now to help you with the problems Make a list of all that you have in your life, for example, a home, the things that you love that are in this home, lover or lovers, the relationships that you treasure joy in, such as your hobbies or sports, or just things that you enjoy in general food, travels, talent, skills, anything you're proud of, skills, anything you're proud of beauty, clothing, your health, animals, etc. Really, and just take your time and put maybe like a five minute timer. If that feels good or less, you may be done sooner. Just let it flow like just listing as much as you can sooner. Just let it flow like just listing as much as you can.

Speaker 1:

Maybe pause here, taking a moment to do that at this time, or come back to it when you're ready, so when you've finished your list. This is the part of the meditation. So I would take a moment and have your list nearby and get into a comfortable seated position or lying down, whatever feels good. This author recommends sitting with your spine straight or again lying down with your spine straight and close your eyes. That feels comfortable to do so. If that doesn't feel comfortable to do so, you can pick a spot in the room and just allow your mind to kind of melt into that spot, right, so focused, unfocused, and just really bringing all your awareness to that one spot in the room. I'm just taking a few moments to just breathe, naturally at first, just landing in time and space in this moment, just connecting to the breath as it moves within your body, connecting to the life force that is this breath within your body, which is also another something to be so grateful for. If this breath is moving free and easily within your body, that is something to be super grateful for. That is profound abundance.

Speaker 1:

And now let's take a few deeper breaths. Also a reminder this is not a meditation to do while driving or lifting heavy machinery, as this will likely put you into a really relaxed meditative state and might alter your focus. So I would advise that you pause it and return back to this meditation at a later time. Let's take a few deeper breaths Inhale, inhale, renose and exhale, welcoming any disease or tension that lingers into your body to melt away with each exhale. Let's do a few more of these deeper breaths, remembering to relax your jaw in the exhale and welcoming any sound or movement that feels good. On these exhales, one more allowing yourself to really feel supported but melting into the surface that you're on, whether you are seated and it is beneath you, or it is under your back and your lids. And so for this next exhale.

Speaker 1:

And so for this next exhale. This sweet, smelling golden energy circulates throughout your body and either imagining it on the outside of your body, if that's what feels safest and most comforting, covering you from the exterior all parts of your body like a second skin, or alternatively, if it feels like a full body, yes, welcoming in this sweet, smelling golden energy to circle throughout your body and give you a few moments to imagine and experience in the next few inhales and exhales. And do it again just to allow it to really nourish and support your body-mind. And now, in this next breath, begin to feel sense and to see the entrance to a tunnel formulating in your mind's eye. It could be one that you know or one that you imagine, taking these next few moments to really allow it to slowly but surely come into form.

Speaker 1:

Mm, now with this tunnel, visual, very clear, as clear as you can imagine it. Imagine that the tunnel is not far in the distance, in front of you, and that you're slowly walking towards it. Remember that you are safe. This tunnel is pleasant and in the distance, you can see that it is well lit. Nothing in this tunnel can harm you. You've got you and I've got you and together, in a moment, we will step through and walk through this tunnel.

Speaker 1:

Now that you've taken a few more steps and you're at the entrance to the tunnel, you can see very clearly that it is pleasant. There's no sense of danger, there's just ease, and it's fully well lit. So you can see exactly where you are. You can see in front of you, you can see behind you. There's nothing that can surprise you. So if that feels good and you feel ready, let's walk through the tunnel, starting to enter the tunnel noticing that because it is pleasant and it is well lit. As you move through it, your relaxation, the ease you feel in your body, the trust and the safety it deepens, deepens. At the end of the tunnel there is a path Taking a moment to see the path which, at the end of this path, has an enormous lotus pond. So I'll give you a few moments to see that form, the end of the tunnel which leads to a path which then leads to an enormous lotus pond.

Speaker 1:

Now, as you start to walk towards this enormous lotus pond, you notice that on the banks of the lotus pond are sumptuous cushions. They are in the most luscious tones you can imagine, whether they are jewel tones or pastel relaxing, cooling tones, or pastel relaxing, cooling tones. Allow your mind's eye to elicit the colors as feels most delicious to you. And as you get closer, you notice on these luscious, sumptuous, beautiful, colored cushions that the most luxurious clothing you have ever seen is lying on them and it's covered in also the most exquisite jewelry and adornments. As you get closer and when you're standing in front of these cushions with the most exquisite garments you've ever seen, the most exquisite jewels or cufflinks or just adornments that you have ever seen crowns what have you?

Speaker 1:

You begin to put on the clothes and jewels and when you are fully dressed, you seat yourself on the cushions. Give you a few moments to really experience that adornment and to be seated. Maybe before you're seated or if it feels good, good, you get up and you twirl a bit. You look at yourself in these adornments and just really savor the delicious feel of them on your skin and how your body just sensorily enjoys being in them, being adorned in this way. And when you're ready, you have a seat, and when you do, food and drink appear before you in an inexhaustible supply All the most scrumptious, delectable, flavorful, sensorial, ah, smelling, tasty food and drink Enjoy. Allow yourself to make yourself comfortable and refresh yourself, enjoying the food and the drink to your heart's content. I'll give you some time for that.

Speaker 1:

So, now that you have made yourself comfortable, refreshed yourself, feeling satiated, turn your gaze to the pond and as you're watching the pond, a huge lotus flower begins to open, revealing Lakshmi and all her splendor. She asks for your list that you had made earlier, that all the things and the abundance that you have in your life, and you hand it to her. You give thanks to her for the abundance you have in your life. So let's take a moment. I'm going to be silent and just recite, whatever free flow comes up of all the things that you are grateful for, that you want to thank her for, the abundance that you have in your life. Thank you, taking these moments to reach even further for abundance. Reach even further for abundance, or else you can express thanks to her for so.

Speaker 1:

Once you've expressed your thanks to her for all the abundance you have in your life, take these next moments to ask her for abundance in the area where you need it at this time in your life. Thank you, as you're asking her for abundance in the area where you need it, remember there's no request too small or too ostentatious, or too outlandish or too big. Wherever you desire abundance is wherever you desire abundance. So my invitation is to really just reach for the deepest of what's there and to ask her for abundance in that area or areas. Thank you, having heard your request, she asks you to hand over to her a tangible physical symbol to represent that area of your life. If there are a few areas of your life that you have requested abundance, please offer her a tangible physical symbol or representation of each of them. So it would be a few of these tangible items. So take the next few moments to welcome the images that arise for these symbols, for these areas, and to offer them, in your mind's eye, to Lakshmi. Thank you.

Speaker 1:

Okay, as you give these symbols to her, you feel a tremendous sense of relief. You experience the luxury of knowing that she is taking care of that aspect of your life. Hmm, so, with that complete, it is now time for you to return. You bid Lakshmi goodbye and thank her. You bid Lakshmi goodbye and thank her. She tells you to keep the clothes and jewels and as she speaks, the clothing and jewelry dissolve and become part of you. You are left with the sensation that you are still beautifully attired.

Speaker 1:

Now you turn and follow the path back to the tunnel. You return through the well-lit and comfortable, pleasant tunnel where you are safe and can trust that you are taken care of. You leave the tunnel and take a deep breath and, yes, you release it. You return to your body, taking a moment to just sit softly or lie softly here, welcoming any grounding, touch, embrace or squeezes to your body, beginning to wiggle your toes, move your fingers, slowly, coming back to time and space and no rush at all, welcoming yourself back to the here and now and, of course, when you feel ready, you can open your eyes and welcome back.

Speaker 1:

So that was sumptuous journey of abundance. I hope this meditation nourished you. I hope this journey felt really supportive and nourishing and fruitful, and I will leave you with the poem that I read in the beginning, lakshmi's offering to you. Offering to you I am the ever-flowing outpouring of plenty, the inexhaustible, the never-ending. From the fullness of my being, I give richly and opulently, generously and copiously, luxuriously and liberally. I am limitless, for I cannot be contained. I am everywhere and will never cease to be All right. Dear ones, I am embracing you through the ethers, sending you so much love and ease wherever you are, and as a reminder, my deep desire is to transmit the following Stay delicious, because you already are. Until next time, ciao.
