On June 6th, 2026, Chris Glass and Britton Ledingham hosted the first Airdrie Inside: The Summer Session at Rival Axe Throwing. We brought together seven of our city’s premier artists who represent the heart and soul of the place we call home.

100% of the revenue from this evening went directly back to the artists on stage and the venue that hosted us.

  • Eden Taylor: 2025 Vocalist & Songwriter of the Year.
  • Kimwell & Grace del Rosario: Founders of Airdrie’s new strings program.
  • CELIN: The raw intensity of Airdrie’s soul.
  • Miles Canyon: The "Long Game" of Saskatchewan grit.
  • Christian Hudson: The Stampede champion who chose Airdrie.
  • Steve Jevne: The architect of the Airdrie sound.

Hello, everybody in Airdrie. How's everybody doing right now? You feeling good? Welcome to the first ever Airdrie Inside Music Festival. My name is Chris Glass. I am the host of Airdrie Inside. This gentleman with the camera is the heart behind it, Britton. We decided to put this on after hearing so many of our local talented musicians play on our show. So give our musicians a big round of applause. We've got a great night of music coming up right now. And the reason why this mic is so tall is because I've got a very special guest to kick us off. Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Airdrie's own, Eton Taylor!

The week that I came back from Nashville, I got like a direct message from Chris Glass. And I was just like, is that the guy that coached like football at my high school that I like never met? Cool. Let's let's see, let's let's do this podcast. And it was probably one of the most welcoming things ever, and it will be in my portfolio forever as one of my first, you know, on camera kind of interviews. Thank you guys for setting me up for the world. Right over here. Airdrie. That's where I get all my uh fundamentals and strength and training. This one's about having big city dreams. One of my friends that uh couldn't be here today, he wrote this song with me and he came from Nova Scotia and I came from Airdrie. And Airdrie, I don't even think it's become is a small town anymore, but it's not a small town and it's just gonna keep getting bigger. But to me, when I first moved here, and I think about like just like 25 years ago, how a small Airdrie was and growing up, how everyone kind of knew everyone, or everyone could figure out someone through someone. Small town, but going to Calgary felt like big to me. So uh we all we both wanted to go to Nashville, we both wanted to go to New York, and uh within a year that all happened with after writing that song. With only five dollars in my pocket.

SPEAKER_02

She always said that she was leaving, always reaching for the stars. She didn't know where she was going, but she knew she was going far. She put a five-dollar bill in the gas tank, pedaled to the floor. She always thought about going to Nashville, or maybe even New York. She's on the highway, chasing her dreams. She's going somewhere, anywhere, everywhere to find what that means. Oh, no matter how or where she goes, her heart will always be. Small town girl, big city dream. Small town girl, big city dream. Oh, it's getting real now. Life keeps getting in the way. Past feels like a reminder while the future feels like a race. Then she stops to wander and wonders if it's ever. Till age, she's on the highway, chasing her dreams. She's going somewhere, anywhere, everywhere. Oh, no matter how or where she goes, her heart will always be. Small town girl, big city dreams. Small town girl, big city dreams. She's on the highway, chasing her dreams. She's going somewhere, anywhere, everywhere to find what that means. She's on the highway, chasing her dreams. She's going somewhere, anywhere, everywhere to find what that means. Oh no matter how where she goes, her heart will always be Small town girl, big city dreams. Small town girl, big city dreams. Small town girl, big city dreams. She always said that she was a leaving, always reaching for the stars.

SPEAKER_00

Alright, good afternoon, everybody. My name is Kimmel, and this is my wife, Grace. We just came from BC about a year and a half ago to start a string program at Airdrie Christian Academy, just a few blocks away from here. And we're we're glad to have been invited at this series of performances. So tonight we put together a set for you, and we are going to try to go around the world in 30 minutes. Let's see if we can do that. We are going to start with uh Austria, where the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. So for you classical lovers, you will know what this music is. This is eine kleine, not music. A little night of music. So just to let you know, uh this summer uh we'll be conducting um intense summer workshops for kids. That's our passion to teach kids. So if you're interested, if you have friends or families who would love to be part of that, just let us know. Thank you very much.

SPEAKER_06

All right, everybody give it up for give up great overtime. Now I have to say, I've had all of these artists on my show, Airdrie Inside, the podcast that we do, and this was one of my favorites. It really, really hit me, and the intense look that Celine gave me while she was singing angrily at me with her guitar was amazing, and it stuck with me. This is one of my favorite Airdrie artists, ladies and gentlemen. You'll understand what I'm doing.

SPEAKER_12

Why'd you scooch back? Come on. Oh, fair. Fair enough. Okay. Check one. Hello, my name is Celine, and I'm from Airdrie. As is everyone here tonight, which is super cool because we got some talent from Air Dream. I gotta say. Yeah, I went on uh Chris's podcast and I scared him and Britt's podcast. Airdrean side, and um me. Take it back to that day. I'm gonna share a song called Pray On. Um, this is a song that I eventually made merch for. I decided to put myself on a prayer candle, and that's that. So check out my candles. I brought some merch today.

SPEAKER_03

Say there's no future. I'm hidden in a young bed. You sheets dirty you'd secrets while I'm stripping you down time to clean out my conscience. So light a candle for your morals, cause you won't get forgiveness with God as my witness, and I hope she don't find out what you're doing, who be screwed. Pray on because I'm done, I'm not your patience, ain't you must atone for your sin? Pray on because I'm done, and silence will remain for this table is thin, and I'm not saving you, no, I'm not saving you. No, I'm not saving you. So who are you to judge me? Goes out of town, you didn't sleep in a round. I'm no angel for your pleasure. Should I take you to heaven for born appear at your leisure? So don't you burden me with your sins or faithfully housing the grave thing you're digging honestly? I hope they cheat find out what you're doing. Oh you big screw pray on court I'm done. I'm natural patron saint you must atone for your sin. But pray on could I'm done in silence all remain, but this cable is thin. And I'm not saving you, the one that saving you all that saving you, all I say, oh no, that's not setting you must say that you're saying that.

SPEAKER_01

And now, my name is Brent Lunningham. Chris is double duty tonight, he's a counselor, he's also a DJ, so he's going to be DJing at grad tonight. And it is my pleasure to bring up fellow Saskatchewan, Miles Canyon. Come on up.

SPEAKER_10

I got a brand new song. I've never really played it anywhere, so I think this would be a good spot. Seems every time I play a new song, it's always in front of Judy. Steve's mom. So uh, like I was saying earlier, I met my girl uh in the Yukon. And uh that was quite some time ago. And when I met her, I was really trying to uh make her my girl, but she wasn't having any of that. She uh she had stuff to do, and truth be told, I had stuff to do as well. But I told myself, to get a girl like that, you gotta play the long game. And that's what I did. And uh 17 years later, she called me back up and asked me what I was doing. I said I was fishing. And uh now we're getting married, so. This is uh my brand new song, it's called The Long Game.

SPEAKER_11

She was missing dependent and a little hard-headed. A girl said to follow her drink. We were two birds of a feather, and I knew I couldn't get her, and that ain't gonna bound hold her on me. And as hard as I tried, I kept getting denied, but that ain't gonna get in my way. Cause for a girl like her, I'm willing to play along game. I was best to write understanding, but the girl wouldn't have it. I did my best to be as sweet as I can. She gave me wrong for my money, but she didn't want my honey. And as hard as I tried, she still said goodbye. The one that got away. But with a girl like her, I'm willing to play the long game. Asking me how have I been? Fast forward now. I'm riding my vows to the woman of my own dreams. And as time as I tried, I'm also don't song right. I guess I just had to wait to get a girl I could. You gotta play the long game. To get a girl I could you gotta play the long game.

SPEAKER_10

Thank you very much, what's my name is Miles King. Swing around, there's got green marsh coming up, Christian Hudson.

SPEAKER_01

So up next we have Christian Hudson. Thankfully I got to know him about 10 years ago when he came onto the scene. And yeah, it was really cool. I got to be at the Airdrie Echo, got to know that, hey, there's an Airdrie guy who's leading the Stampede and like winning the. Sorry, I'm going in totally blanking on this as I wing it, but what was the name of the challenge with the Stampede? The talent show. So yeah. And then you've continued making great music, touring, and yeah, just the music scene here in Airdrie is really better with you in it. So thank you so much for making time for tonight. Christian, come on up. And Miles, thank you so much.

SPEAKER_05

I can't find out the sake of I'll see you on the other side. See you all the other side. See you all the other side. See you around some other time. I've been trying to write life like the whip. The whip with which you whip with no difference in the end. So I try to find a lobby to comes. See all the whips around the bed. See you all the other side.

SPEAKER_01

And so for the end of the night, we wrap up with Steve Jeveny. Tonight would not have sounded as good without Steve. Many events in Airdrie wouldn't have come together. So thanks so much, Steve. Airdre is very thankful for you. We are very thankful for you. Take it away. Steve Jeveny, everybody!

SPEAKER_07

My name is Steve Jevny, and uh I'm a musician from Airdre, just like the rest of us. This is a song called Little Town, and I wrote it with somebody else in this room, and then somebody else not in this room. Christine, my wife Jevny, wrote this with me uh years ago called uh Little Town. This is all about leaving uh leaving a a little town, and it definitely is not Airdre.

SPEAKER_08

You're on my mind, gonna leave this little town far behind, and I thought I'd warn ya that I'm stopping by old California. I dream of you all my life. I packed my best for the last time, but you broke my heart, little town. It's time to say goodbye. Thanks for the memories that you got the best of me.
