Welcome back. If you've been following along, you know we have arrived at the active memorization stage for Psalm 1. Over the next four days, we are going to explore different ways to memorize the first verse. So grab your favorite cup of coffee or tea, your Bible, some pens, and your notebook or note cards, because it's time to plant God's Word in our hearts. Let's start today with prayer. Lord, because you are the source of truth, I am asking that you would open our eyes so that we would behold wondrous things out of your law. All right, well, here's how we're going to get started today. First, grab your notebook or note card and a pen, because we're going to write out verse 1 from Psalm 1. I'm just going to suggest jotting it down in short phrases, but you can do it however you would like. It will make it much more easier to memorize. I'm going to share an example, and when you hear the cymbal sound... That will be the next phrase, so here is the example. I'll give you about 30 seconds to write this verse out. The first helpful way to memorize scripture is to use voice inflections. Pay attention while I demonstrate it. You will have a chance to practice this as well in just a moment. Here we go. Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers. Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, You get the general idea. I'm accentuating and using different voice inflections with each word every time I say the verse. Now, it's your turn. I want you to say it out loud. Feel free to get creative with your voice. Sing it, mumble it, shout it, or even whisper it. I'll give you about 30 seconds to practice this. Today, I want you to carry that little note card with you throughout the day. Try to review it whenever you can, even in small amounts. Tomorrow, we're going to dive into another amazing technique. Great job today, friends. Be sure to hit subscribe so you'll be notified of all future episodes. And remember, living roots are well watered, well nourished, and firmly guided by scripture. Stay rooted and keep growing.
