What followed was years of grit—odd jobs, long commutes, language barriers, and moments that would break most people. But somewhere between pushing boxes and working retail, Mel discovered something unexpected: sales was his superpower. One conversation turned a $3,000 sale into $7,500—and the trajectory changed.

From electronics to luxury car sales (earning $30K+ in a single month at age 21), to owning multiple ventures across North America—including food franchises, digital services, and property—Mel mastered one core principle: listen first, solve second, sell last.

Then came the boldest move of all.

At the peak of success, during the 2008 global crisis, Mel returned to India—a decision many called reckless. Starting again meant pay cuts, consulting for 19 companies, rebuilding credibility, and betting on India’s raw talent. In 2018, with a ₹25 lakh budget (half of which vanished in three months), Mel doubled down on cold calling, clarity, and conviction.

The turnaround was fast. A $15K contract scaled to $75K within six months. Today, his company Fourfold Tech supports accounting and bookkeeping firms across Australia, the USA, Canada, UK, and New Zealand, with a team growing from 5 to nearly 70—and revenue crossing ₹10 crore+.
