SPEAKER_00

Good morning and welcome to Friday's episode of Trending. I hope you're well. Well, we've made it to the end of another week. Well, the headlines this morning are, as usual, a mixed bag. We're going to look at some stories here from the UK. We're going to look at some stories from the US and the Middle East. Let's start with what's going on over in the Middle East. Officially, a ceasefire was signed this week. I covered that on Wednesday's episode. Doesn't seem to have included Lebanon, which seems to be a sticking point as far as the Iranians are going. Israel obviously have continued to bomb indiscriminately southern Lebanon and Beirut. Hundreds and hundreds of civilians have been killed, millions misplaced or displaced, and the army have gone in with a ground invasion to essentially take over towns and villages. So not those people that have been displaced. Don't know if they'll ever be able to return to their homes or whether that will form part of a new security buffer zone, which basically means we're going to take your land. Which, as we know, is what Israel do. They take bit by bit, inch by inch, until they get what they want. Now, Trump officially is the man in charge, Netanyahu is following suit when it comes to this dynamic, but that's that's obviously the other way around. So occasionally something has to happen to try and give you the perception, shall we say, that Trump's the man in charge. And today's version is uh him telling them to check themselves. Although what's interesting here, and Gareth covered this yesterday, and I covered it to an extent on Wednesday, is it wasn't Trump that said that, it's JD Vance that said that. Said the Israelis need to check themselves or risk derailing the truce. Now that's the kind of language you'd expect someone like Trump to use. And the reason this story is so important, is because one, it's trying to reassert that public perception that America's the one in charge calling the shots and Israel is following suit when anyone that's done a shred of research knows it's very much the other way around. The other thing, it continues with this perception that JD Vance is slightly separate. We spoke about it Wednesday, Gareth covered it extensively yesterday that he has been essentially silent during this conflict, and he's being seen now as the peace guy. And Gaz covered the story yesterday where he'd supposedly said that he wouldn't have gone in. He warned against the repercussions of going into Iran, which we know Vance is Israel, Israel, Israel. So this is literally theatre. We say the world's a theatre, this literally is theatre, this kind of pseudo conflict or this pseudo-chest out, you need to check yourselves, guys. It's just it's a joke, it's an absolute joke. And the good thing is, I don't think anybody that's done any research will be looking at this and thinking anything other than that. The danger, however, is MAGA. Because MAGA needs a new hero. Because anyone with a brain cell knows that the MAGA of Donald Trump is dead, it's gone. The man stood up and said, I'm the anti-war president. Stood up and said so many things that he's reneged on and gone back on, and you're in the midst of another bloody war in the Middle East, which could go who knows where. So, what do you really think this separation of Vance and Trump really is all about? It's about creating the next man, the next hero to give you, the next person to divert your attention away from the people that are pulling the strings behind the scenes. So, by putting this out, in people's minds they're gonna go, oh see, Vance is different. Vance is standing up to Israel. Vance isn't just a little lapdog for Netanyahu, like Trump is. He's not gonna pull his chair out and let him sit down, is he? He's gonna stand up, he's gonna be strong, he's gonna be that leader that America needs. Well, is he really? As he as I said on Wednesday and as Gaz covered yesterday, he's been funded by Peter Thiel and others his entire political career to get to the position that he is in now. There's no way he's there to go down with this ship that is the Trump presidency. He's there to rise like a phoenix from the ashes, I think, in terms of MAGA and perception. Because if you think about it from this perspective, there's there's no one really else. No one else, is there? You know, there's not we're a couple of years out now, and obviously the American political landscape, the lead up to elections, are very long drawn-out processes with primaries and the R DNC convention, the RNC convention, all that sort of stuff. So many televised debates with you know, tens of candidates and then down to three, four, five, and then down to one and two, you know, it's it's a really long drawn-out process over a period of years. And the fact that there's not really anybody else who's being touted, certainly not from the Democrat side, as a real alternative to him. Whoever runs on that Republican ticket's got a great chance of winning. If you believe it's fair anyway. But I think Vance is the chosen one, said it earlier in the week, and I'll say it again now. But again, the perception of America is that America is being anyone that's researched is that America is being bullied. America is being dragged into this war by Israel. So by saying things like this, it just reasserts that authority in people's minds that it is the Trump regime that is in charge, and it is America that is the one calling the shots. Well, I think we both know it's not. So, in short, Israel have officially agreed to hold talks with Lebanon. Now they're separating Lebanon as the you know the official Lebanese government and Hezbollah, who they claim are the ones they are attacking. However, the number of civilian deaths, just like in Gaza, far outweigh what they claim they're doing. It doesn't make any sense. If you're targeting Hezbollah fighters, why so many civilians being killed? Why are entire apartment blocks and skyscrapers being targeted? For what reason? Unless the idea is to cause maximum devastation and also the the land aspect of it as well. The Greater Israel project is no longer something that can be denied. It's no longer a conspiracy theory that people can throw at you as an anti-Semitic trope. The fact that you have IDF had IDF soldiers in Gaza wearing the badge of the Greater Israel on their arms, the fact that bit by bit, every time these conflicts happen, the agenda of taking more land, whether that be land in Egypt, whether that be land in Syria, land in Lebanon, land in Gaza, land in the West Bank, why does it always seem to end with Israel having more of it? Surely, just thinking out loud, if you were a leader in that part of the world, in Israel, and you were trying to dispel this conspiracy theory, this anti-Semitic, nasty conspiracy theory that you're just trying to grab the land off all your neighbours. Maybe stop. I'd stop grabbing the land off all my neighbours. I'd stop giving people something to talk about. I'd stop giving people something to point out. Hang on, look at what you're doing. You say you're not doing it, but I can see you doing it. But the reason they're not doing that is because they are doing it and they know they're doing it, and they're meant to be doing it, because the greater Israel is exactly what they're trying to achieve. You know, that's what they want from the Nile to the Euphrates. It's the maps exist, the conversations exist, and you know, away from real public display, you occasionally hear some interviews with them, there's some absolute lunatics in the Israeli regime that openly talk about this and openly talk about you know all of these things. The fact that you've got a minister who was celebrating the fact that they're now going to hang Palestinian prisoners. These people are psychopathic, not the Israeli population, although by law of averages there'll be a few in there, not the Jewish faith, because that's just a belief system, just like Islam is, just like Christianity is. You can interpret those belief systems however you choose to. You can interpret them into the most extreme, ideological, dogmatic way that allows you to basically have no repercussions for doing anything against anyone who has a different belief system because you believe your one is superior, and they exist in every belief system, every single one, and equally you can interpret it as more of a spiritual connection and something you have an extension with, but it doesn't define you, and you can go about your life and be a very different person and find the the troubles that people have that maybe believe things that are different to you, you can find them abhorrent, and you can try and support them and do something about it, and you can be a sh absolutely ashamed of what's being done in your name. So that's how you can you can differentiate between those two, and this is very a very good tactic they use to connect anyone criticizing Israel with criticism and abuse of Jewish people. So I think that ship has run though. I really do. I think that ship has sailed because they've overplayed that hand so much, and people don't care anymore. Cancel culture is still there, of course, but it's kind of it's kind of gone too far. It's gone too far to the point that it's hard reset a little bit now. And people have just had enough. Oh, I'm racist, am I? Oh, I'm anti-Semitic, am I, oh I'm homophobic, oh great, cool, let's carry on with our day. Those words have no power anymore because they've been overused so much. You know, when I was younger, being called any of those things would have been a real mortifying thing for somebody. But now you're called a racist, you're called a homophobe, you're called a transphobe, you're called anti-Semitic. If you if you point out something that's glaringly obvious or you ask a very simple question. And also, this is a final key point. Just because someone says you are something doesn't mean you are. Someone can say you're anything. Doesn't mean it's true. Don't have to take it as if it's true. If someone calls you a racist and you think to yourself, am I though? Do I have prejudice towards certain demographics of people based on the colour of their skin? Well, no. Well, you're not a racist then, are you? Just because someone said you are doesn't make it true. That's very important to remember. And just as I said at the top of the story, just because someone says something or something is said doesn't mean it's true. So this whole illusion that America are the ones in control of this dynamic isn't true at all, is it? And I think, like many of you, I laughed when I read this story and thought, here we go, let's try and exert some authority. Because that's all they're trying to do, because they know it's gone, and they know people know it's gone. Right, thank you for tuning in. We're gonna go and uh carry on on iconic.com. We've got four more stories to cover. We're gonna talk about Melania Trump, Kia Starmer, Kia Starmer, and Ed Millerband. What a fun trio they are. I'll see you there.

SPEAKER_01

Don't mention the reps of those days. Even less is said about the Grey Pop, which some believe to be the true ruling power in the Vatican. Little similar thing and macadress. All of them have political signals. I've never seen it before. This is the ultimate suicide. The symbols around us every day are just ornamental. What is their instruction?

SPEAKER_00

It's not manipulatable.
