SPEAKER_01Amen. Glory to God. Hallelujah. He's given us everything that we need. Hallelujah. To fulfill the purpose and the plan of God. The title, if we have a title or use a title briefly this morning, we want to talk about just briefly, maybe. The power of love in the resurrection. The power of love in the resurrection. And I'm going to go to very familiar scripture. Start out at John 3, verse 14. We'll start there. I do want to talk about the resurrection, but uh he has kind of rested in me to focus on his love. His love. Because the resurrection took place because of his love. The resurrection happened. When Adam committed high treason, high treason against heaven and became a spiritual outlaw. God could have said that's it. God could have said that's it. Start over, I'll do something again. Do something else. But the love that he had for his creation could constrain him. And he said, I'll do what's necessary. To redeem man back to God. I'll do what's necessary to redeem man back to God. So John 3 and 14. You have your Bibles or your mobile device, you can turn there or you can look on the screen. And as Moses was lifted up, and as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but shall have eternal life. But God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son. I know everybody knows this scripture. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but shall have everlasting life. Anyone, no matter what an individual has done in this life, no matter how they've lived their life, it was God's desire through love to prevent anyone from perishing. So God did what he did out of love for us to prevent anyone from perish. And so that man can live eternal with God. Eternally with God. But that the world through him might be saved. The world, the cosmos, right? Of what we live in or and what we know, he sent his son into the world, not to condemn the world. Sometimes we put a lot of things on God that God didn't do. You hear a lot of things said about God that God didn't do. As if there is not an enemy in the world. As if there is not an adversary in the world. As if there's not an opponent. Right? And he said, but that through uh uh but that the world through him might be saved. Now I know they don't agree with a lot of doctrines that we have today because uh some doctrines say that there are other ways, there are other routes, there are other pathways to God. But according to the scripture, the scripture declares that there is only one way to God, and that's through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And every individual either has to take that or leave it. He left it in our choice and in our realm, but that the world through him might be saved. Let's get the next verse there, and we'll be done here at least. He that believeth on him is not condemned. But he that believeth not is condemned already. Because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. So then we know that it's necessary that we believe in God. You cannot you you cannot think just because you're aware of God and switch that over to I'm aware of him, so I believe in it. Because belief requires some actions toward him. And if there is no actions toward him, then your belief, your belief is off. There have to be actions toward him. There have to be actions that go directed toward him or to his concern. And so let's look at Romans, Romans 5 and 8. Romans, Romans 5 and 8, and glory to God, as we talk about his love. Hallelujah. Romans 5 and 8 says, you know, when God did all of this that he did, I'm gonna take my time here just a little bit for at least for a minute. When God did all of this that he did, are you aware that man wasn't even aware that he had a problem with God? Or that God had a problem with him. And so what God says he did is, but God commended his love. That means that on purpose, intentionally, directed his love toward us, meaning that when he directed his love and he pointed it toward us, meaning that he was considering all of us. He wasn't leaving out anyone. God, through his love, he was considering all of us. And whether you believe it or not, God loves you. You gotta let that rubber, whether you believe it or not, God loves you. Whether you feel like he loves you or not, he loves you. Because he has demonstrated his love to us. And sometimes we know that God is love, and God commended his love toward us, that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. While we were yet sinners, we weren't even thinking about God, they wasn't even thinking about God, but while we were yet in a state not having the ability to even comprehend that we need God, God, Christ, died for us. I mean, even in today's time, there's sometimes people don't even think about God. They don't think about sinner, they don't think about that. God has made a way for them to live this in this world, to live this life. But God, He commended. We don't find any prayers of anybody asking God to turn this thing around. In the Bible, God had to take this thing upon Himself because they weren't smart enough, and we weren't smart enough to be able to have the solution to the problem that God had with us. And the Bible says that we were enemies to Christ, according to Ephesians. Hallelujah! And God needed a way to bring peace. And when you don't have Christ, and and and the way has been made, and you choose not, you still gonna have to deal with God. You either have to deal with him today, but you're gonna have to deal with him, you're gonna have to face him. So he says, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Glory to God. Ah, thank you, Jesus. Let's look at John 15, 12 and 13. Hallelujah. God loved us so much that Jesus would die for us. Can you imagine? Just think about this just a little bit. Just think about this. We're gonna talk about his love. Just think about this. We know that in 1 Corinthians that Jesus purchased us with his blood. He purchased us with his blood. He bought back. Can you imagine buying back something you already own? Christ died for us to buy back what he already owned. I mean, at that point we belong to the devil. But he was the maker and the owner. So he goes and buys back what he already owns. And then this just puts another twist on it. When he buys back what he already owns, he gives what he buys back to make a choice to choose him or not. No greater love. He done what he buys. He buys me back. And then he said, okay, I'll bought you back, but you can make a choice if you want to serve me or not.
SPEAKER_02He paid a steep price for that.
SPEAKER_01And it's definitely a steep price. For then some to say, no, no, thank you. I'll go my own way. Steep price. I'm trying to get you to see the depth of his love. How his love went to the deepest of depths to ensure that no man no woman would end up in the place they didn't want to end up. He went to the depths of this thing. He said, This is the commandment that we love one another. He says, I have loved you. Somebody said, Well, God don't love me. It's a lie. It's a lie straight from the pit of hell. Straight from the pit of hell. I mean, it it it came straight from the pit. It wasn't on the side of the pit. It wasn't east of the pit. It came straight from the center of the pit. When you believe the lie that God don't love me, He don't care for me. He don't, He don't even like me. God said, Listen, what I've done. This is my commandment that ye love one another as I have loved you. Then He He goes to give a statement or to sum up to some degree within our understanding to show how much he loves us. He said, Greater love has no man than this. That a man will lay down his life for a friend. And so Jesus laid down his life for us, speaking in faith that one day we'll be his friend. Because prior to this we wasn't. So Jesus is using his faith here. Greater love has no man than this, than a man to lay down his life for his friends. Even though he before he laid down his life, he already called us friends. He already called us friends. Verse number 13, and we can go there real real quick. Hallelujah. This is my uh 13. Next one. Glory to God. 14. 14, yes. 12, 13. I got 13. Yeah, the next one. Yeah, that's one. Okay. Ye are my friends if ye do whatsoever I command you. If you do what I what I instruct you to do, he says, You are my you are my friends. To experience God's love, one must not only know of God's love, but must believe in that love. Do you believe in the love that Christ has shed for you? You have to believe the love, because just to know the love is not enough. Especially when situations hit or when circumstances show up, just to know the love is not enough. You gotta believe the love. And so when you believe the love, when life shows up, when uncircum uh unwelcome circumstances show up, when you believe the love, your response is different than when if you just kind of know your response is different. See, when you believe the love, you say, Yeah, this thing is showed up, but hallelujah, in the name of Jesus, I'm healed. This bill is showed up. I don't have the money to pay it, but in the name of Jesus, it's paid. Because you what? You believe the love. You you believe the love. You don't just you're not just aware that he loves you because some people said it, but you have experienced his love. And a believer, sometimes uh we don't experience God's love. We we don't come in uh the right relationship with his love. So in dire situations, we're unable to say what he said, all because that he loved us. Glory to God. And so uh to experience, you know, uh, you want to experience the love of God. You want to experience that love, and you want to have a relationship with God. Everything that God has for you, you know, you really want to experience it. That's what God has for you, you know. You want to experience, you know, it's a shame to pay all the money to go to Six Flags and you got a ticket in your hand, and then you stand outside of the fence looking at everything. You don't go in. That's the way some of it is with God. You know, we saved, but we're outside the fence, looking at everything. When all we can do is through the word of God get in and we can experience the life of God. We can experience the love of God. We don't glory to God, glory to God. We don't want to be my that my father used to say, used to say sometimes somebody be talking to him about something, and they'll say something he don't he don't know about, and and uh he'll say, uh he'll say, well, I he said, Well, I don't know. I'm just a handle on the jug on the outside looking in. He was telling him that I'm not familiar with that, right? But he would say, I'm just a handle on the jug, I'm on the outside looking in. And sometimes that's the way Christians is. We just a handle on the jug. We don't want to get in. But Jesus paid the price for us to get in. Glory to God. He paid the price for us to come close, he paid the clerk, he paid the price for us to have eye-to-eye contact with him. Jesus paid that price and he paid it through his love. He says, Ye are my friends if you do whatsoever I command you to do. When Jesus came, the Father came that we would become friends, friends of God. If we can get Isaiah 53, 1 through 7, y'all are moving, uh uh, I'm moving here. Glory to God. Isaiah 53, 1 through 7. But in Isaiah 53, Isaiah, he prophesied about the crucifixion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He prophesied, he prophesied how things were going to be and what things is going to look like. And he gives a picture of the crucifixion and of the things that Jesus will have, uh, of the things that Jesus will have to endure. I want you to look at Isaiah 53 and maybe in a in a little different way after today. He said, Who has believed our report, and whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? Here, Isaiah is about to reveal something that the world uh has not known, that the world has not received. Next verse. Uh, for he shall grow up before him as a tender plant. Jesus, growing up as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground, out of the ground of jess. He has no form nor comeliness, and when we shall seek him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. Talking about uh his demeanor and the way he would look. Verse number three. The Bible says that he's despised and rejected of men. He was despised and rejected back then, and he's still being despised and rejected by men today. Men and women. A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from him. He was despised, and we esteemed him not, gave him no credit for what he's doing, gave him no concern for what was taking place. Uh we hid our, they hid themselves, we hid ourselves and people still hiding from him today. Verse number four. Next verse surely he has borne our grief and carried our sorrow, yet we esteemed him stricken. Smitting of God and afflicted. Next verse. But he was wounded for our transgressions. He wasn't wounded because of anything he did. He wasn't wounded because he he said a bad word. He crossed the father in some kind of way, and the father wounded him. He wasn't wounded for any of that, but he said he was wounded for our transgressions. Sins. Transgression. Not just one. He was bruised for our iniquity. Stuff we try to, stuff we get in, and we won't get won't get out of it, but he was bruised for that. And he said, and the chastisement of our peace was upon him. And with his stripes, we are healed. With his stripes, we are healed. The Bible says that Jesus took 30, 39 stripes on his back, paid the price for our sins. The atonement of Jesus sacrifice that he would pay the price all for the purpose of restoring man back in right relationship with God. For restoring man back in relationship with God. By his stripes. And with his stripes, we are here. And you know, when you have a spiritual death, it leads to a physical death. Right? Uh-huh. Yeah. Sin, the wages of sin is what? But the gift of God is eternal life. Got some Bible scholars in the house. Right? So he healed us from spiritual separation with him. That's the greatest healing a person could have is to be reconnected spiritually back to God. Many people had left this earth sick, but when they left, they went to heaven. Because they had spiritual relationships, because they had accepted Jesus as their Lord and personal Savior. And they went to heaven, even though they might have been sick here. So if I want to do something and I only got a couple things to do, one of them I want to make sure that when I depart this body, I'm going to be with Jesus. I depart this, I'm part of this body. When I leave this earth soup. Because you understand that this body is just an earth soup. What God wants in heaven is what's on the inside of us. Our spirit man, our innermost man, a transformed man soulishly. Glory to God. Hallelujah. So when I when he healed me in that spiritual healing that I need, I need that spiritual healing. I can go, I can get all the body shaping I want. I can get all the cosmetic type stuff I want. I can get all of the whatever this world has to offer me that I want, I can get all of that. I can get it all. I can have it all. I can get it all. But guess what? If I don't get Jesus, it's gonna go to the grave. And it's gonna die. And that's where it's gonna be, that's where it's gonna be left at. Romans 5 and 5, 5, where we're at. Okay, let's go to the next verse there. And with his stripes we are healed. Verse number 6. Glory to God. Hallelujah. All we are like sheep have gone astray. We have turned everyone to his own way, and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Last verse number seven. God has laid it all on him. There's nothing that Jesus did not take care of. There's nothing. Nothing that Jesus did not take care of. There's nothing. He didn't leave anything out. He loved us so much, he said, whatever I leave out, he knew whatever he leaves out, the enemy would take advantage of. So he said, I'm not gonna leave anything out. The Bible says that Jesus, he was oppressed and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth. He is bought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shears is dumb, so he opened not his mouth. Thank you, Jesus. He opened not his mouth. Well, do you know why he opened not his mouth? Because he loved us. And words that he released out of his mouth produced what he said in the earth. So he could not holler out to him, stop.
unknownHmm, call it God.
SPEAKER_01He had to let this thing run its full course. The Bible said that Jesus said that I can I can I can call down 12 legions. But that wasn't the way of the Father. He was willing to go to the degree all the way. Sometimes some people get in there uh with Christ Jesus and things are going good, and then when things start not going that way, they won't leave Jesus. Glory to God. They ready to upstake and go. But Jesus said, I gotta go all the way. So he kept his mouth shut. Kept his mouth shut. He did because he could, whatever he would have said, because of who he was, it was gonna begin to manifest. So he said, I can't talk against this thing that God wants to do. Me and the Father, we had this conversation that you know we was gonna get rough down now on you for a minute, Jesus, but you're gonna have to keep your mouth closed. Glory to God. You're going to keep your mouth closed, and that's why the Bible says he opened not his mouth. It wasn't because he couldn't take it or he wasn't tough enough. He didn't open up his mouth because him opening up the mouth would have changed the will or the way of what God wanted to do, and he refused to do it. Pilate really just wanted to know. Glory to God, I'm getting ahead of myself. But Pilate said, Are you a king? He said, Yes. He said, Uh, thou hast said. But what Pilate was getting after, and what Pilate was going, Pilate was concerned about, is that if he said he was a king and Pilate did not take him out, then Pilate was gonna have to deal with the emperor. Because any kingdom that opposed Rome authority got dealt with. And all kings got killed. So Jesus, he didn't open his mouth. He he didn't say anything that would cause anything to happen that the father didn't want to help. Yet he opened not his mouth. He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter. They reigned him as a lamb because he appeared to not be, he appeared to be helpless. When really he had all the help he needed. That's why they say they led him right there as a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep before her shears is dumb. Don't know what's gonna happen. But Jesus knew what was gonna happen. Uh-huh. He knew what was about to take place. And because he fully understood what was about to take place, he opened not his mouth. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Because it was important that the man of God be restored or back, the people be restored back to God. Romans 5 and 12, we can go there real quickly. We're almost getting ready to close. Give us a little bit more time. All right. Romans 5 and 12, he says, wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin. And so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. So all have sinned. All have come short of what? The glory of God. Romans 5 and 19. So you can't say you don't need Jesus. Glory to God. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 5, 19. Same scripture. For as by one man's disobedience, many were made sinners. So by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. By the obedience of Jesus through his death, burial, and resurrection, many have been made righteous. Many have been made righteous. Notice he says there, many have been made righteous. He's just not talking about the many that have been made righteous. He's talking about the many, or he's talking about the all. Everybody. Once they come under uh the amoral of Jesus, they have been made righteous. No, everyone in this world today that have not accept Jesus. They have already been made righteous. See? See, and that's why when we come to Jesus, we just have to accept him. Right? We make that confession and we get in the kingdom of God, and now we are righteous. But righteousness didn't just become available to you and me when I accepted Christ. It really was already available. So you have to accept Jesus. That's the point that many miss. Right? You know, there's this doctrine, I got to close. There's this doctrine of inclusion that they have. You might have heard of it. That says, you know, don't worry too much about it if you don't get saved. You know, you ain't got to worry too much about go and live your life, go and do what you want to do. You ain't got to worry about because you know, uh, they use the scripture that God won't leave your soul in hell. So that even though you go to hell, at some point, God's gonna bring you out of hell to heaven. Well, who wants to take that chance?
SPEAKER_02Who wanna go to hell for a little while?
unknownHuh?
SPEAKER_01Anybody raise your hand if you want to go to hell for a little while? I mean, I wouldn't even take that if it was true. If I can go to heaven from the beginning. Glory to God. I wouldn't I wouldn't take that one. I mean, my goodness, I mean, I ain't the smartest apple in the in the in the in the basket, but shoot, you know, my goodness. But Satan will deceive you, he will deceive me, or he will see them and make you think that you know what? Riding on grace, sliding grace too far to the left, or sliding grace too far to the right, it's gonna be alright. So there are all kind of stuff out there that you're listening. People go to listening at that, and they say, Oh, okay. All right, well, I'm gonna I'm gonna wind up in heaven anyway. You know, even though I go by the way of hell, are you crazy? Is you crazy? There's something wrong with you. Huh? Glory to God. I got the vision. For by one man's disobedience, many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall all be made righteous. Jesus made us righteous. Uh, first John, then we're gonna, I think we're gonna close, close right here. Uh, glory to God. 1 John 1 and 29. John here, he's uh he's prophesying to uh uh or he's seeing Jesus. 1 John uh 1 and 20. Yeah, 1 and 29. Glory to God. Y'all, y'all, are y'all doing all right? Amen. Amen. See, Jesus worked this thing for us, you know. Uh I can use the expression, don't take take it wrong. Jesus worked this thing for us that even a blind man can almost see it. Glory to God. 1 John uh 1 and 29. First nine. Okay, well which, huh? 1 and 9. It might be let me let me look. 10 no, it's just John. It ain't first John. It's all. I'm sorry. I mean not first John, but John 1 and 29. Let me clean my nah. He ain't dirty. All right, can we okay? There we go. The next day, John seeth, I said, man, that's okay. The next day, John seeth Jesus coming unto him and saith, This is what John says. This is this is revelation. Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of this world. I think we're gonna close right here in just a minute. But I want you to pay attention to the scripture, to word in this scripture. He said, Behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the notice sin is singular. Don't have an S on it. So it's not plural. He taketh away the sin of the world. What is the sin of the world? The failure to accept Jesus as your personal that's the sin. That's the sin most people are gonna wind up in that other place. Because of the failure, that's what he talked about. Take away the sin of the world. The failure to accept Jesus as your personal savior is the for show sin that'll put you in that other place. People can say all you want to say about Jesus. You can, you can, I mean, I mean, that was some ideas that that uh they said said about Jesus when when Jesus asked them, who do men say that I am? He said, Some say you Jeremiah, some say you're Elijah, some say you're one of the prophets, some say you're this, some of that. You can have all of, I can have all of my things that I think who I say Jesus is. But whichever one of them I said Jesus is, I better accept him. I better accept him because he is the only way to the Father. The Bible says that he paid the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. He did. No other man, no other person can clarify or can say that somebody else died and rose again for their sin. So when you're listening at all of this stuff, that sometimes you get to listening at and questions get to popping up in your head, you better turn that stuff off if you don't have nothing up here to combat it. Or nothing in here to combat it. Because a lot of times people already have a problem with Jesus, and then they go listen to something that verifies their problem, they go listen at something that verifies their problem that speaks to them and say, oh, okay. And they're getting ready now to wreck themselves because uh they're listening at some information that sounds good, appears good. Somebody working for it, you know. Let me see. Lord, I can I say this you say you see the Lord. Yes, she said some people are making money on these platforms. You and you didn't you done like them and you following them, and they they making money on these platforms. I know some. And they're looking to come up with anything that they think people are grabbed. Mm-hmm. Anything. And and and then they get a they get a check from Facebook. And they put something on there that they know is gonna grab people, and you know the thing about it? They don't even believe in themselves. They just know I better quit. They don't believe in themselves, but they'll put it on there because it's gonna roll in some money, it's gonna get some likes, it's gonna get some views, and they're making money off you and you struggling. They didn't mess your mind up and you struggling. You better watch it. You bet you better watch it. People don't have a problem deceiving us or deceiving you. People don't have a problem off some, well, not everybody, but some people don't have a problem with lying to get money. Glory to God. But the love of God fixed it to a degree, hallelujah, that we were able now, hallelujah, to have right relationship with God. So I I wanted you to understand today that through the death, burial, resurrection, and final ascension of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Because I know we all heard a resurrection message. But we all sometimes might not know that God loves us. And that's why the resurrection came, is because of his love. That's why Jesus was born. He was born a king and born to die. But that's why he came, is because God loved us. And God wanted to restore right relationship with us. So you get nothing else today. Understand that beyond even what I can comprehend, and you can comprehend that God loves you. Say God loves me. Some of y'all say it like you're scared. God loves me. Come on, say it again. Say it again. God loves me. See, because if you can't say it, I know us, I know some of them kind of quiet. But if you can't say it, saying is a part of our faith thing. So there were times when I got in difficulties and my mind went to running and rolling, and I had to calm it down, but said by saying, He loved me. He loved me, he loved me, and I just spit that out a few times, three or four times. Then D started calming down. He loves me, he loves me, and because when I'm That he loves me, I'm saying he knows about my situation. I'm saying he's got a plan to get me out of this. I'm saying he understands me and that he knows where I am when I say he loves me. And when when as the year goes on and you meet you move forth, and and and we see, we see, we it's alright. You just say God loves me. God has gas has risen over three dollars now. You say God loves me. I'm gonna have what I need to do, what I need to do. I'm gonna still fill up the tank. Cause why? God loves me. And he said that he will supply all of my needs. God, God loves me. Things are getting tight. They're talking about laying off people, but that's alright. God loves me, and he knows that he'll meet my needs, he'll meet my desires, he'll he'll he'll meet, he'll do what he needs to do because why he loves me. Oh, I'm an advocate that God loves me. I'm I I believe that he loves me. You all you ought to believe it. It's simple to say, he loves me. But when you say it, it helps root it down on the inside of you. That regardless of what comes my way, through the death, burial, resurrection, and final ascension of Jesus Christ, he did it because he loved me. Cairo, he loves you. Glory to God, hallelujah, hallelujah. No matter what your difficulty has been, and no matter how life has gone, I know that he's loved me. And because he loves me, I have an expectation that he'll bring me out of everything. Hallelujah! Glory to God for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth on him shall not perish, but shall have everlasting life. You got it, it's yours, it's mine. Hallelujah. Not gonna be concerned about those children because God loved me. Glory to God. I'm not gonna spend sleepless nights uh concerned about an issue because God loved me. He loves me and He He gave me a process where He said I can cast all my cares upon Him because why? He loves me Hallelujah! He He loves me. Uh, when you get to thinking about you don't like yourself, you you can say, Well, I might not like myself, but God loves me. I might not be doing so well right now, but God loves me. Because every situation that you're in today, that we're in today, is temporary. It's not a permanent situation, it's a temporary situation. Ah, glory to God. He loves me. He loves me. You might not have the house, the car, the uh whatever great relationship with your family that you might want to have, at least right now, but you need to know that God loves you. Hallelujah, hallelujah. God loves you, Miss Wanda. Glory to God, glory to God. When you say God loves you, it ought to bring a smile to your face. If you had a frown, it ought to bring a smile. If you had a growl, it might have brung a grunt. Glory to God. God loves me. God loves me. You go, you go to work tomorrow, you're in Walmart, and you pass by somebody and you say, Hey, God loves me. He loves you too. Glory, glory to God. God loves me, loved me so much that he would send his son to die for me. If it were just only me, he would have done nothing less. Because he loved me. Glory to God. God loves me. Hallelujah. Loves me. And when he loves me, it trumps every situation, trumps every circumstance that I face today, and then I might face tomorrow. He loves me. To God be the glory. Praise God on this resurrection Sunday. Hallelujah. Something has to get up in you, something has to resurrect in you, something has to call you to life. You've already been resurrected in Christ Jesus if you have him. All you're gonna have to do is, all we'll all eventually do is go through a transition, the departure of this body to be with him. And we're with him now.
unknownGlory to God.
