EP.109 Duration Isn't Authority: Experience Doesn't Always Mean You're Right.
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Does experience automatically make someone right?
Society loves to equate years with authority, but time alone doesn't guarantee wisdom, growth, or competence. Someone can spend twenty years repeating the same mistakes, while another person can achieve a deeper understanding in a fraction of the time through study, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
In this episode of SavagelyLOUD, we challenge the idea that seniority should end every debate. We explore why experience matters—but why it should never make someone immune to criticism, new ideas, or better methods. Whether it's on the job, in leadership, or everyday life, authority should be earned through results, character, and a commitment to continuous growth—not simply by how long you've been around.
If you've ever been told, "I've been doing this for 30 years," this conversation is for you.

SPEAKER_01Oh, I'm doing good, brother. I'm doing good, just enjoying some time off and relaxation, reconnecting, all that fun stuff, man. It's it's wild.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you know, it's fun. We got some fucking big shit coming up, so you know, lifestyles are changing, and we've been talking about that, you know. Oh, yeah, doing the doing the whole working out thing and then the weight loss and thing and the muscle building thing and the protein drinking thing and the pre-workout thing and the fucking creatine thing and the dietary thing and the supplementational thing. There's so many things going on right now. Y'all have no idea just what's going on in the background. We've got so much shit going right now with some of the coolest motherfuckers we've ever had the pleasure of meeting and being friends with. It's wild, it's mind-blowing. And you know what? This and and and here's the truth of it, though. Right now, and just being open and honest with everybody, everybody's got a journey, and you get to see us run our journey, you get to see me run my journey, you get to see Dave on the hammer drops pages run his journey. We all got a journey to be on, and you know what? The coolest ones, I think we share our journey because you know, everybody wants to come out and look like a bad motherfucker, look like they got it all figured out, look like they've been here for a for a decade, 10 years, 20 years. And uh, and and this it just doesn't come off well. So I figure we just I'd rather just share you my journey and the levels we're on as we level up. We can tell you what we feel and how we what we've discovered as we level up. And you know, I and when when now that we're on this level, we we're we we've got some really big things that are actually in the fucking works, like further, further than anybody else ever fucking really gets, you know, for the most part. But this is the level where people fail. This is the this is the level where people finally they achieve this level of getting somewhere. We haven't gotten somewhere, we're getting somewhere. And that's I always look at it as day one. You know, if you look at every single day as day one, you hit it with that same motivation, that same energy, that same drive, you're gonna get somewhere. But uh so, but when we we're we're we're just entering this new level of things, and and uh this is where people fail because people they will get to a point where they get to this level and things are really actually happening, and then what happens? They let off the gas, they get complacent and then they just fuck everything up. Yep, they let off the gas, they fucking they like, all right, I made it, it's good, we're here now. I'm unfuckwithable because I've made it to this next level. Well, guess what? I don't care what level you're on, you are fuck withable. That is just the truth of it, right?
SPEAKER_01Well, and you got to look at it like this, too. Even if you get to that next level, it's even more hard work to maintain that level and to get up to the next level. And every time you level up, you gotta have that same mindset. Like, I got I have to continue putting the work in, I have to continue putting more work in, I gotta get up to that next level. And it just it's it keeps doing it that way. And then once you can place it, it's very easy. You can be on top, it's very easy for you to get knocked right back down.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah. Well, and that's the that's the thing is you know, it's like it does boggle my mind how normal people will look at look at situations like this, and they're you're leveling up in their own life, and then they just like let off the gas when they get to the next level. And while meanwhile, they can everybody they admire that's built businesses, built communities, built fucking giant things, when they look at them, they're all on a hugely higher level, an astronomically higher level. And every single time they level up, they hit it harder. You can watch these people that have got everything you wanted to get, they've lived everything you've wanted to live, seen everything you wanted to see, bought everything you wanted to buy. They've got every they've got the life you want, and you will look at them on the level they're on, never letting off the gas, always stomping it harder through the floor. And you think somehow you're so fucking special that you don't have to do the same thing.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I love those people, and and then they sit there, they'll complain and wonder why everything's falling apart around them because they they pulled, they hit the brakes. I mean, let's just be honest, they hit the fucking brakes. They're like, Oh, I made it, I'm big time, I know what I'm doing, da-da-da-da you know, whatever. And it's just like all of a sudden then they start falling. It's like, well, why am I falling? Why am I losing money? Why am I why is this happening? Why is that happening? It's like, well, dumbass, you let off the gas, then you hit the brakes a little too hard.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, and it's you know, and the thing is, is like it people have this this common misconception, this absolute fallacy that once you get to the level that you you wanted to get to at one point, you know, you're at a level that's comfortable. They they just they they they have it in their head that they can just stop there and that's where they stay forever. Listen, motherfucker, that ain't how it works. You don't just get to a certain level and stop and then just stay there. If you stop, you start going backwards. And the reason you start going backwards is because just because you're uh he's like uh if you're on the football field and you get to a fucking certain level and you just feel like not playing the game, it doesn't mean the other team is not still competing. It doesn't mean the other players on the field aren't still looking for the fucking touchdown, they aren't still looking for that fucking that that interception, they aren't still looking for that fucking field goal, they're still competing just because you stopped doesn't mean they did. And the fact that they're still competing while you stopped makes you go backwards and backwards very, very quickly. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Well, I mean, you see, I mean, now foot the football analogy. You know, I I love that because that's 100% accurate. You see, you watch a game and you see somebody that misses a route or you know stops short of the route or something like that, and then all of a sudden it's he he could be your favorite player, and you know, I'm I'm a Chicago Bears fan, and we saw that last year with one of the things.
SPEAKER_00You mean a Hammond Indiana Bears fan? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01We won't go there, we're not gonna talk about that quite yet because there's still hope that Chicago will pull their head out of their ass. No, there's not. I know, I know. Wishful thinking, but the Bears had a player last year in the playoffs that did the same exact thing, and guess what? He's no longer with the team, even though he was a high like number one receiver, you know, he got traded. Yeah, they could sit there and save money and all this stuff, but I mean, let's be honest when you stop performing at the level that you're being paid at and you don't exceed the expectations or even come closer to them, that's it. You're done. And that goes for any sports, any in personal life, or average Joes like you and I. You know, if you stop, you're fucked.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and it's mind-boggling how people just how anybody can wake up every single day and not have a deep-seated drive to get better. You know, they're fucking I don't and I know I'm not the snooze the alarm clock kind of guy where they where I'm gonna get all over your ass for hitting snooze. I set my alarm clock intentionally 20 minutes early because I like to snooze that bitch twice. I just that's what I do. I don't give a fuck about you snoozing the alarm clock. Uh, but I also I I snooze the alarm clock twice and I'm still up before 5 a.m. every day. So these motherfuckers are snoozing their alarm clock and they're getting up at nine o'clock. Yeah, but your ass goes to bed at nine o'clock.
SPEAKER_01So no, sometimes I'm o'clock. Well, I also I get up at 3:30 in the morning and I'm usually up before that. So it's just like yeah.
SPEAKER_00But it you're but you're still getting that sleep window. You're not, you know, it's not like you're you're up, I'm up till 2 30 and I get up at 3 30, you know. No, no, I'm I I some of these idiots out here.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, I can prefer him optimally with you know five, six hours of sleep. I'm usually good. If I get anything less than that, I'm gonna be dragging ass a little bit, but I'm still gonna be pushing, yeah, you know, because you it that's just the nature of the beast.
SPEAKER_00My body doesn't seem to want to get any more than six hours of sleep. Doesn't matter what time of the fucking day or night I go to sleep, but you know, if I'm going to bed, my body's up fucking six hours at most, you know.
SPEAKER_01So on the weekends, we go to bed, me and the wife will go to bed at like midnight or whatever, but we're up by 5 a.m. Yeah, you know, and it's like because the dogs, I mean, the dogs are like, hey, we want to go outside, we want to do this, we want to play. And it's just like, plus, we can't sleep anymore. We're just kind of laying in bed. It's like, all right, time to get up, fuck it.
SPEAKER_00Yep. My fucking my my weekly routine consists of uh I get out of bed at 4:50 and then I hit the streets. I fucking I do a uh a 45 minute, you know, pretty pretty zealous walk, pretty rigorous walk without, you know, just under running essentially, just under that the the point where you see the women when they power walk, and then all they get to that one certain part, and then they will no, they get you get to the you see them get to that one part, like that certain point where the hips start really bouncing. Then yeah, I don't do that fucking wiggle hip back and forth shit. I just I get out there, I hit it hard first thing, and then uh I go to fucking work. I come home, I do my fucking workouts, and uh, you know, now I'm gonna be fucking, I'm changing up my protein and stuff. I went with uh perfect sports uh diesel way isolate protein. I got their fucking uh altered state pre-workout, got the creatine, I got I got a whole different stag of shit. Um, I'm back on all my supplements, my vitamins. In fact, I was showing Troy yesterday. Uh I I I have a pill caddy, and and most older men do, even if they don't admit it. But and if and if they don't, they're probably not taking what they should be taking. So fuck you, Dave. I no, I take everything I'm supposed to be taking. I just don't need a pill caddy. Well, I got I've got a pill caddy that's like eight and a half by 11. It's like the almost the size of a sheet of a notebook, a piece of notebook paper. But it's got my morning, it's got breakfast, it's got noon, it's got dinner, and then it's got bedtime. And I have to take different supplements at different fucking times. Well, that makes sense. So so it's just yeah, and it it allows me to I spend 20, 30 minutes, you know, putting all the pills in their, you know, their rightful boxes as given to me by my my my health advisors and my coach and whatnot. And then it just it streamlines the whole week. But I'm back on all that shit. And uh let me tell you guys, if you don't, if you if you've never taken fish oil capsules, um, you really should. It's really good for you. It does do a lot of, yeah. But you're gonna want to take like so take your fish oil capsules in the middle of your meal. That's the best way to do it. You start eating, take the fish oil capsules, and then finish eating, and it keeps that burping of that fucking rotten fish smell. It keeps all of that down. Yep.
SPEAKER_01I've I've got to try that because I've anytime I've taken fish oil, it's always usually before I eat or after I eat. And I always get those that fucking perfect.
SPEAKER_00It's like take it, take it right in the middle, dude. Take some bites of fucking, take some bites of breakfast or lunch or whatever, and then pop them pills back, finish your meal. It you're fucking golden. There's zero even whispers of wow, that's nasty.
SPEAKER_01Anytime I would do it like before or after, like it could be in the middle of the day, all of a sudden I'd probably be like, Oh, oh yeah, where the fuck did that come from? I took that like three hours ago.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, eat it in the middle of your meal. Let me tell you, that was that was one of the best tips I ever got in my life.
SPEAKER_01Well, I'm gonna take that tip, I'm gonna run with it because that's precisely one of the reasons why I kind of like stopped taking my omegas was because of that burp. And I was just like, but knowing this, I'm gonna give this a try. I'm gonna try that out because if that actually helps, because I I need to get back on that stuff, anyways.
SPEAKER_00And also use good shit, guys. When it comes to supplements, don't just order your shit on Amazon at the cheapest fucking rate you can find it. Because most of that bull, most of that stuff is is it's all bullshit, fake crap. Like it's just it's proven, it's yeah, it's yeah, it's crap.
SPEAKER_01If anything says prioritary blend, proprietary, yeah, proprietary blend, throw it the fuck away. It's garbage. You're not getting what it says on the fucking label, you're getting nothing but junk.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, throw it away. They use that term proprietary blend to get around to make it sound really fancy and get around telling you what's actually the fuck in it, and it's usually fillers and stuff. Oh, yeah, and don't here's another one. Just being dead honest, I've done the research. Don't just buy stuff because one of your favorite influencers' name is on it. Um, from my research, I'm going to allege this. Of course, I can't tell you from a fact because I'm not a scientific research institute, but I have had um literally dozens of actual real coaches, real fitness experts, real supplement experts all tell me Jocko shit is actually fucking trash. It's fucking garbage. It's it's fattening, it's it's full of fillers, and it's just not, it's not gonna give you what you need. So stop going to fucking Walmart to get your fucking protein, stop going to Walmart to get all your supplements, go to the fucking most reputable sources you can, pay a little extra and get real shit, get good quality shit.
SPEAKER_01No, exactly. I mean, if if especially when you're on a journey like this, everybody's looking at the labels too, you know, labels for food. So you want to have your foods with the least amount of ingredients in them because then that's the most purest form of the food. So why wouldn't you want that in your in your supplements that you're taking to help? You'd want you want the same damn thing, but the less ingredients, the better it's going to be for you. And the more, especially on protein, like your protein shakes and stuff like that, the least amount of ingredients and the more protein in there, you know, it it weighs itself out without those blends and all that stuff. Because you'll see a lot of proteins that have those blends in them like here's a blend for weight loss, and yeah, we got in there, we got this in there. No, you don't.
SPEAKER_00This one's got guarana and gin thing in it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and and any reputable company is going to have the test results available. You can find the test results for all the products. If you can't find the test result for the products, then that's another clear sign to stay the fuck away from it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and they they're they're typically fucking labeled, uh they're on the label, uh you know, some sort of stamp of approval of some sort of organization that tests stuff, so um, but this also fucking ties into what we want to talk about today is people's complacency. You know, well, I've been taking I've been using this fucking protein for fucking three years and it does just fine. Really? It doesn't look like it does just fine. In fact, it doesn't look like it does anything. I'm only judging by your body composition and what I can see, and that's usually a pretty good fucking sign as to what effort you put in. So maybe you're either not putting the effort in and it does work, but it can't work because you're not putting the effort in, or you are putting the effort in and you're not getting out of it what it says you should be getting out of it. Get out of your fucking comfort zone, stay away from complacency, uh, and you know, and it because it drives me absolutely fucking nuts. And the biggest sign that somebody is complacent in their actions is when you try to help them. How many times have you fucking seen somebody doing something and they've been doing it for a really long time, right? You've been seeing them do it, and you're like, Man, I could help that motherfucker out. So you walk up and and it happens, it's happened to me. I couldn't even count. Jesus probably couldn't even fucking count how many times at this point. I'll walk up. I'm really good with cars, I'm one of the best that's ever fucking lived. I'll walk up, I'll see a fucking dude doing something, and I'll be like, hey man, I was like, Can I offer you a piece of advice, uh piece of advice? I was like, you know, you can you can cut your time in half, double your quality, and put less effort in it if you just do it this way. No, no, no. I've been doing it this way for 30 fucking years. I don't need your help. Thanks. That's what you always get. I've been doing it for this amount of time, and that makes me the authority in this. You stupid motherfucker. That's the dumbest shit I've ever fucking heard. And it's regardless of anything. Yes, is there? Let's caveat this. Is there truth to experience? Oh, yeah. And you, you know, you need time to get experience. Yes, there's absolute truth there. But if you've spent that long doing it and somebody comes up and says, I've got a better way if you just listen, fucking listen. Don't fucking say, I've been doing it this way for this long. I don't need your fucking help. Thanks. That's the number one fucking sign that just tells people you are unfucking savable. You are unhelpable. You are going to continue doing it that way forever because your fucking mind is closed and your mouth is open. You have shut off your brain to any new information and you've opened your mouth as a fucking defense force to try to attack that information before it gets to your brain. I walk up to motherfuckers all the time and I tell them how to fucking do something better, and they don't want to hear nothing about it. And they, I've been doing it this long. Okay, well, yeah, but you've that means you've been doing it fucking wrong for 30 fucking years. What do you got to say about that? And they always get so fucking mad. So fucking mad. How fucking dare? Do you know who you're talking to? Yes, an absolute fucking nobody. Shut up and listen to me. I can fucking make you better. And then I go out and I do the same fucking thing. Next thing you know, I'm off in the corner twiddling my fucking thumbs because I got nothing to do because now I'm so fucking good at what I do that it's already done. And they're still wrestling with the motherfucker, twice two and a half times the book hours that are left on it. I mean, it's it's ass, it's it's insane. It's absolutely asinine that the the way people look at this shit.
SPEAKER_01It you're right. And it it completely is asinine how they look at it. Because I mean, what you're coming up to somebody with is a suggestion that you've done and you found that it works, and it probably works more effectively, it cuts down on book time and all that stuff. So you're just literally trying to help the guy, like, hey, I I know like in your industry with being mechanics and all that stuff, um, a lot of the places that you know for mechanics, they get paid by the job, you know. So if you go over that book time, you've got a commission job, you're losing money. So it's like, why don't you just I mean, knowledge is power. We all love to say that knowledge is power. Listen to somebody that may not have that much experience in the field, like, okay, you got 30 years in it and say this guy's got 10. But if he's got a better way of doing something, it's not that person looking at you calling you a dumbass for not knowing how to do this. He's trying to help you out so you can make some fucking money. Just stop and fucking listen, drop the ego, be like, okay, what do you got? And if you try it out, if it doesn't work for you, then it doesn't work. But at least you fucking gave it an you gave it an honest try to see if it will work in your behalf. And nine times out of ten, those suggestions will work.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you're shocked by how well they work, and you're like, I don't, why didn't I ever think about this? It's all about having your open fuck your mind open. If you've got your oh your your mind open, you will continuously learn, which means you're gonna continuously do better and better, which means you're gonna continuously make more and more fucking money and have more and more time to do other things. It's the way it fucking works. But these motherfuckers, these these egotistical, fucking non-accomplishment driven motherfuckers, they just want to look like they're the badass. They want to look like they're the authority, they want to sound like they're the authority, and they're just fucking not. I can tell you in any fucking, I can pretty much take any facet of life and and careers, and I can fucking take a guy that's been doing it for 30 years, and I can take a guy that's been doing it for one year, and I'll fucking and I can and I can tell you that that guy that's been doing it for one year is oftentimes better than the guy that's been doing it for 30 fucking years because he learned the way in the 80s and now it's the fucking 2000s, and there's new fucking better ways that he just doesn't want to adopt. He will make all this fucking, he'll do all the mental gymnastics and and fucking ducking and dipping and diving and dodging all the truth to make it sound like he's fucking right, but he's fucking not. He's just doesn't want to grow because he feels like again, the ego's flaring, which makes him feel like if he learns anything, he didn't know anything, or if he learns something, he no longer. Gets to be the biggest fish in the smallest fucking pond. Now he's just like everybody else. It's so fucking ego driven. It's so fucking ego driven. It's disgusting. It's the same principle. It's like people that have to insert in every fucking conversation you have, like I got a buddy, I got a buddy. Right. His daughter got a job at a restaurant, right? And this was just several months ago. My daughter got a job at a restaurant, and she was like, All right, cool. You know, I'm gonna do this, this, and this. And he goes, Whoa, no. He's like, you don't want to do that. You don't want to do that. He's like, this is what you want to do. And I was like, why are you telling her that? And I was literally at this conversation. I was in the kitchen while it was happening. I was like, why are you telling her that? And he's like, he's like, because that's the way it goes. I was like, but how do you know? And he goes, because I ran restaurants. Um, for the 20 years that I've known you, you haven't run a restaurant. When did this restaurant running thing happen? And he's like, Well, I fucking, you know, I it was might have been a long time ago, but it's all it's all transferable. No, motherfucker, that ain't it at all. You motherfucker, you ran restaurants in 1987 and your daughter is in 2026 talking about running a restaurant and you're fucking telling her how to do it 30, 40 fucking years later, you're out of your fucking mind. Out of your fucking mind.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you gotta pump the brakes, sir. I mean, if if you've been out of uh some atmosphere of a certain job or something like that, and you're trying to give advice to somebody that's going into there, just stop. Just stop because all you're gonna do is fuck them up. Just stop, let them go there, let them learn. But you know what I find what drives me nuts and what I find that I run into on a regular basis are the ones that are just out of school that think they already know it all, and they don't want no advice. I couldn't tell you how many motherfuckers I've had to train like this, and then they get to a point like, yeah, yeah, yeah, I know what I'm doing, you know, I don't need your help anymore. So I'm like, okay, yeah, I've been in the industry for well over 20 years, so and I'm still learning. So it's not one of those things where I I stopped learning, right? And you know, so I'm like, okay, you got this? He's like, Yeah. I'm like, I'm just gonna go sit over here and make sure that you have it and just kind of observe and see what's going on. And I would literally sit there, observe, and see him doing everything all fucked up and wrong. I'm like, okay, all right. So I'm I'm making mental notes as we're going. So what things I need to approach him on. And I literally let him go to the point where something's going to fail, where it's gonna work. And just before it does, I walk up, I look at the crew, I'm like, stop. And I look at the other guy, I'm like, Do you know why I tell why I told him to stop? And he's like, No, I'm like, well, because this right here, he was about to plow right through it without even fucking potholing, and you would have no idea. Yeah, and then we're gonna have ambulances, fire departments, police, and everybody here because you don't want to be trained.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And nine times out of time after that, I'm looking at him be like, get the fuck off my job site.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, that the fucking school kids are are every bit as bad as the old timers when it comes to I don't need to hear nothing from you. I just got out of school, I paid $62,000 to learn this. There's nothing you can tell me, bitch. I paid zero fucking dollars to learn this and just put blood, sweat, and tears into it for a while. And I've learned some shit. I'm still learning some shit. In fact, I learned some shit this morning, and the difference is I've been in the industry, you haven't been in the industry. I'm saying I still learn every single day, and you're saying there's nothing left to learn. Motherfucker, we're we're at a disconnect. We used to get fucking school kids because you people come out of Yo Tech and ITT tech and they think they they're the they're some of the worst. Um, in fact, what's what's the worst one I ever fucking dealt with? Um, it was a body shop, a hot rod, like a hot rod school, body shop school out west. Um, but yeah, they're absolutely the most horrible fucking people to deal with. Well, I'd get these fucking people coming in and we would just take fucking bets, you know, the guys like all right, well, we got another school kid coming in. What's the likelihood that the application's gonna go right in the fucking trash as soon as he walks out the door? You know, I of course that's illegal, so we did keep it on file, of course, of course, metaphorically speaking, of course.
SPEAKER_01That it wouldn't go in the trash, it went on the recycler, rebinder thing, yeah, the circles.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it goes into the box labeled we have we're keeping these because the law makes us.
SPEAKER_01You know, I mean, sometimes that's what you have to do. I mean, I I do the same thing, so you know, it goes in the box where it's like, okay, well, we'll be in contact if we need some help, you know, you know, if something opens up, you know, that kind of spiel, but it's like, yeah, you know, some of these interviews that I've done, I've literally, and this is how complacent people have gotten and how dumb people have gotten. You can I literally watch him reading AI. They have AI, like you can literally plug in your computer and have AI yeah record the whole thing, and it's generating the answers for them and they're reading it verbatim. Isn't it the most amazing thing? I I've looked, I've actually called out the interview. I'm like, um, what are you reading? And that just like stumbled them. You know, it's because it's like I'm asking them questions and they're just giving this roundabout bullshit. It's like, and you can see their eyes just fucking moving. It's like, oh my god.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. You're are you reading right now? Why are you reading? How do you have a script for an interview? This is over.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and it's like you okay, you have a bachelor's degree in engineering, and you can't even do a simple interview with simple questions, and I'm not looking for any right or wrong answers. I'm just trying to make sure you're complacent enough to be able to handle the fucking job, yeah, or competent, not complacent, competent, yeah, competent. Yeah, just what the fuck? What is wrong with you people?
SPEAKER_00It's fucking wild, and you know, and and and here's the other thing is then the they'll go to the typical fucking aspect of like, well, I've got this much experience, and what that means is I've been doing this thing for X amount of time. I've got this much experience in this, so I try to transfer the skills and what I learned over there. I you know what, dude? Like, I was just in it again the other morning, listening to some motherfucker tell me about how you know I've been doing this for this long, and it does I I had to have the conversation with them. It doesn't mean anything. And here's another thing this is what I want everybody to listen, and I want you to listen very, very closely. If you're still if you're still leveling up, you're still trying to gain um gain notoriety and respect in your field or the click of friends you have or your job site, whatever it is. Every time you're in a conversation and you want to insert, I've been doing this for X amount of time. I want you to remember the fact that absolutely zero people in front of you give a fuck about what you're about to say. Nobody gives a shit how you how long you've been doing it because there's people that have been doing shit for two weeks that I know are better, like 10 times better than motherfuckers that have been doing shit for 10 years. Like it's it's just the way duration has no fucking yes, you're gonna run it like problem solving, specifically problem solving, you will gain experience over time. Right. And you you can't, you can't have that problem solving thing down if you're not in the industry or you're you haven't been in the field or you haven't been in practice or whatever. You can't get that. So you need the problem, you know, you need the time, the duration to just allow the problems to present themselves, and then you conquer them and you figure them out as you get there or as you go through. That's one thing there. But as far as the skill, it doesn't most shit. If you focus and you only focus on that, you can be really fucking good at it far faster than you ever imagined. Like just doing the skill, the problem solving, the customer, you know, dealing with the fucking the communication, all that shit comes with time. But the fucking skill itself, you can learn really fucking quickly and you can do it really fucking well. Yeah, you just got to put in the effort.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you just gotta put in the effort and want to learn. You know, I I one of my favorite sayings is all gas, no breaks. And that can that fits right in with all this, like with leveling up and everything. But I mean, you have to continually learn. You can't you can't just sit there and be like, oh, I'm done learning.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Well, and then, and not only do you have to learn, you continue to learn. You've got to continue to put that knowledge into practice, you know. So everybody says knowledge is power and it's not. Knowledge is the potential for power, it's the exercising or the application of the knowledge that is the power. And that's where people fall off. Like, I learned a bunch of shit, but you didn't do anything with it. So you might as well have not fucking learned it. Now you're gonna say you learned it just because you feel it puts you above somebody. And again, we'll revert back to the that you always have to insert those are the people that do that. Every time you get into conversations, like, well, you know, I've I've been I've been in this game for five years. So um uh, you know, it this is the way it is. Get get fucked, guys. You have to understand when you say that, like if you're that kind of person, you always have to insert the duration of how long you've been doing something into a conversation. It doesn't need to be there. And because you put it there, everybody that's actually really good at something, you just lost respect, you just lost their respect in their fucking eyes because they know that's a weak ass argument. That's you trying so fucking desperately to claw the wall high enough to place yourself above them on a certain level so that you can appear as an authority figure and nobody's interested. We just want to know what you do and what you know. We don't we don't care how long you've been doing it. I fuck, like I said, I know people that have been doing shit for weeks and they're better than shit people than do been doing the same shit for years. Like it's unnecessary. And then when you fucking do that, when you always have to place that in there, you always got to put that in there, you lose all the respect and you're not gonna go anywhere because like it or fucking not, this whole world is run by gatekeepers. Some of the gatekeepers are in the White House, and some of the gatekeepers are in the cubicle right next to you with seniority over you, and they can put the kibosh on your entire fucking career if they don't like you. There's levels to this shit, and if you don't learn how to play the fucking game, you don't get to play the game. But what's funny about that though is the extension of that is what you don't get to play the game because you're an asshole, and then you go home and you piss and moan about to your friend circle or your family, your wife, or your husband or your kids, all about how you're too smart for them, and that's why they got rid of you. That's why they won't let you play the game, is because you're just so much better than they are. Guess what, motherfucker? You are gonna be there forever. You're gonna be fucking 91 years old if you live that long, still pissing and moaning to the same fucking group of loser-nobodies about how you're all better than everybody that has now surpassed you in life a thousand times over.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And then I would just have to look at those people and be like, so how does it feel to be stuck in the mud, spinning your wheels for your entire life because you just wanted to be like that? You know, I mean, just because you have this experience doesn't mean you know everything that's going on, especially if you're not continually to educate yourself on what you're doing. You know, there's in my eyes, I think there's two sides to that. Like if so, okay, you got 15 years in this field, but if you stop learning, well, guess what? Technology hasn't stopped. So you still have more to learn. So these other people, like you're saying, that are coming out with you know, two weeks, you know, that just have maybe two weeks at it that are better than the person that has 15 years is because that person that has the two weeks has been able to learn the new processes and the new programs and so on and so forth, and putting them into you know, putting them into work and actually working with them to learn them more. So, therefore, they have more experience over you than what you actually think. Yeah, actually that person will their two weeks to your 15 years will surpass you, and you're gonna sit back there and wonder why.
SPEAKER_00No, and I'm not saying, I'm not gonna say that you know, sometimes the old way doesn't work the best, sometimes it does, it does rarely. That's just a fact. Rarely does the oldest way work the best, but sometimes it does. But here's the difference here's the thing, you got to remember we are always living in the modern day, every single day is the modern day. So when you're fucking looking at something, and let's say you learned how to do it five years ago, shit changed. You're not doing it in the modern day anymore, you're using old techniques in a modern time span. It's not the way it works, and especially like for you know, my industry and body shop building cars and shit, this shit changes weekly. There's some new fucking new new molecular structure to a self-a self-leveling, a seam sealer, there's new structures to the fucking structural adhesive that these cars are glued together with. There's new fucking ways to weld shit, there's new ways to pull dents out, there's new ways to fill, there's new ways to tap, there's new ways to pick and pile, there's always new fucking ways to do the shit. So if you're gonna do it like you did it 20 fucking years ago, expect the fucking paycheck to keep coming that you got 20 fucking years ago. Yeah, and that's facts.
SPEAKER_01I mean, and expect not to move up at all, you know. If if you have aspirations of being able to move up into like management or whatever and further your career, you can't expect that to happen if you're not willing to put in the work. If you're not willing to put in that work to learn the new processes that are coming out, I mean, especially like in your industry where things are changing daily. I mean, stuff in my industry changes, you know, very consistently as well. But I mean, again, I mean, if if you're not learning the new processes, you're just doing yourself a disservice and you're never you're not gonna go anywhere. And eventually they're just gonna phase your ass out.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and then you're gonna be fucking bitching to your wife about how you're so much better than they are, and that's why they got fucking rid of you. It's just it's it's fucking wild. And here's the other thing the attitude. Where the fuck do these people get off having a fucking attitude? You know what? Let me tell you a story because these attitudes from these people are always like, I'm the fucking best at this, you're not on my level. But the people that actually are the best at shit, they don't look at things like this. Let me give you a fucking uh a story that happens literally, literally happened last Friday. I'm I'm on a I'm on a fucking group call. It's a business meeting. We're we're doing, we're running through proposals um for a couple of different businesses, and we've got a very, very, very, very successful, honorable, noble fucking man on the other end of the line that we're and we're talking to him, we're running through things, and they look at things different. So I had started saying, you know, and I I started saying, I was, you know, it was part of the context of the conversation. I was saying, well, you know, I said, I have built a couple of businesses, I have always done it organic. I've done it ground up. I don't buy followers or buy ads, I just do it kind of boots on the ground style, and I learn as I go, blah, blah, blah. And and I and I was able to sell those companies, um, make a little bit of money. One of them, I was an absolute fucking flop, and I just closed it before it killed me. Um, you know, I I I that's where I was. I know I was not, I'm I I said, I know I wasn't, I didn't reach your level. And he stopped me. He got fucking mad. He stopped me. He's like, I don't want to fucking hear that bullshit. Mind you, I'm talking to a fucking man that could crush my entire fucking existence physically. Dude beat my ass. Whoop my ass. I'm a bad motherfucker. This dude is a badder motherfucker. And he could so he could whoop my ass physically, he could whoop my ass financially a million, billion, trillion fucking times over. He can whoop my ass based on fucking knowledge, you know, experience-based knowledge and business. He can fuck, he dominates me in every fucking way, but he got fucking mad and he's like, I don't want to hear that fucking shit. Just because I fucking do bigger numbers and I have bigger businesses doesn't mean you didn't do the fucking work. We all did that fucking work. You did the hardest fucking part. You started with nothing and you built something. That's what most people can't fucking do. Everything after that is scale, everything after that is just numbers. The numbers are the numbers. Mine are bigger than yours, but the numbers are the fucking numbers. Don't put yourself below me. I'm not above you. We're in this fucking thing together. This is how it works. And I'm I fucking apologized. Like I got put in my place and I put I, you know, but this was one of those things that I and the reason I'm telling you this, I could have held, I could have, I could have hid this guy's shit from you guys. It's a little bit embarrassing, you know, but it shows you the different level of thinking from level to level to level to level. I'm on this thinking that I'm at this level that I'm on now, and I'm looking way up at that level where he is, where I, you know, where where I view him at. And I think that I'm I'm showing respect because that's how I feel at this level. But at that level, that's actually disrespectful. So there's a learning curve. You know what I mean? Yeah. So you've got to you've got to be able to move with the learning curve, and you've got to be able to accept the lessons as they are delivered. This was a business meeting, and this is a very direct man, which I appreciate endlessly, but it got direct. Like there wasn't no, like, you don't, you don't need to do that, dude. You don't need to, you don't need to say that. I'm not above you or nothing. No, it was stop that fucking shit right goddamn now, or I'm gonna stop listening to you. It was like it was that level, you know. So I fucking issued my apology, and it was another one of those learning experiences I just needed to have. You know, he is a friend of mine, but I when it when business is being talked about, business is business. That's another thing that another thing that most people can't separate. They say they can separate it, but they can't separate it. It doesn't, you know, and and especially in the world that I'm I'm you know uh moving into, I'm dealing with more and more and more people that deal with a lot of people, right? And I'm seeing the different like, so like um, we'll use you and me for an example, right? Yeah, you know, we do this show together, you know, and and it works really well, really, you know, and and and this is great. So I bring you to another show and we start we start working through that, and that works really well. But then I may go off and I'm doing uh and I'm uh and I'm going off. I'm doing another business uh with Troy, with Troy Lilly, Motley Croc show. Me and him are starting a clothing brand called Five Hammer, and you don't get fucking mad at that, just be you don't think that I should be dragging you everywhere. Like I told you in the beginning, I will bring you as far as I could bring you, and then it's and then it's up to you to to to blossom yourself from there. And you accept that and you understand that and you like that, and but I see people all the fucking time that would be in your position, and then they'd be butthurt, like, well, why the fuck ain't you bringing me in? Like, we do the show, and then we're gonna do this other show that we're working on, and then but on, but I'm not good enough to have a part of that. It like it's fucking wild. People can't separate business.
SPEAKER_01And what if I told you, like, you show me the logos for that every time you show me, I can't wait for the fucking church to come up.
SPEAKER_00You said I can't I can't wait to wear that shit. I can't wait to wear that shit. While other motherfuckers would be like, other motherfuckers would be like, I I I yeah, it's cool. Yeah, it's cool. And then you and then you make oh, what what what's going on? What do you mean it? Yeah, it's cool. What the fuck is the problem here? Well, I just don't understand why I, you know, why I got fucking removed from the equation. Bitch, you're not my fucking shadow. Go make your own fucking business deals, go start your own goddamn thing, you know. We do some shit together. I'm gonna do some shit together over here with this fucking guy over here. I'm gonna do some shit together with this guy over here, and that's the fucking way it's gonna be. That's just the way it is. If you can't handle that, kick rocks, bitch.
SPEAKER_01It's all about you know, you wanting to see your close friends and your family succeed and you know, and support them. That's what it's about. I mean, I again I when you show me that that that logo and all that stuff, never once did you come out. Well, what about me? Right, because that's not who I am. It for the first thing that popped in my head, man, man, I can't wait for this shit to drop. I can't wait to wear it, I can't wait to fucking post about it because it's something that I can get behind. And I'm you know, it's like for you and Troy, it's like, man, I wish you all nothing but the fucking best. I hope it fucking hits off and takes over.
SPEAKER_00Well, and here's something that other people don't fucking think about either. When the and I'm talking about the people that are like, why didn't you bring me? You'll never be part of the fucking company if you're that guy, you will never be part of any. I will speak for everybody, I'm sure, that is in a fucking in a position of building businesses that if you if they start a business, if they've got something going with you and they start a business with somebody else and you get pissy because you didn't get brought into that one too, you're never gonna be part of it, and you're never gonna be part of another fucking business with that person. It's never gonna fucking happen because they know your selfishness is driven by ego, which is gonna drive the companies into the ground because all you're worried about is you. Here's the fucking flip side of that, and it's a brilliant, it's a beautiful fucking thing. If you're just genuine about supporting, you know, just fucking genuine like you do. You were genuinely supportive of me, Troy starting this shit and fucking, and it is right up your fucking alley, too, you know. But you're genuinely supportive of it. You're like, I can't wait to fucking wear that, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. If you ever need any help, let me know. I can't wait to wear it. That that's where you were at. That is the fucking attitude that if something does happen in the company later on and we can fill a position, and you we might just look at you like uh this motherfucker probably be pretty decent at filling the position. We know him, he can take direction. You know, he's gonna have these shortcomings, as you know, uh, as we all do, have a list of shortcomings, but we know what we're getting. Can we work with this guy? The that idea, can we work with this guy? Is only ever gonna fucking happen, is if you're if you're genuinely supportive. of the people that you are should be genuinely supporting.
SPEAKER_01But unfortunately, not there's not a lot of people out there like that. You know, they can't they can't separate that. And it's just like it to me, I don't know, man. It just I I look at it like that. If you can't separate business and friendship, there's there's a there's that problem. Because eventually that you know if you can't separate whatever you're involved with with that person is going to fail eventually because you can't separate. And it's just I don't know man. I just I like to see my friends succeed. And if I'm not there to succeed with them, I can be there to support them. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_00And that's if your friends are succeeding you will inevitably succeed just by fucking being at the same in the same group because it'll it affords you opportunities to maybe maybe it's go ahead.
SPEAKER_01Let me put it to you this way man for me to you know I and I truly again hope that that that clothing line succeeds and goes over and beyond your expectations for me once it drops and you got five shirts I'm buying five fucking shirts I'll probably wear one every day of the fucking week right because that's just who I am because it's like and somebody comes up and hey what where is this I'll be like hey man good couple my brothers own this company da da da you got to go check them out go buy their shit.
SPEAKER_00Yeah and that's the way it should be and and the the key is you buy the shit you know you should be fucking you should be buying your friends shit. Yes not fucking not expecting free shit and that's what that's a perfect example is you know my buddy owns the you know uh owns uh fucking diesel the protein and I was out of I'm running out of the protein I was using and I'm like I just need something different I I feel like I I want I want to change routes and and get a little bit more gain a little bit more pump I want to you know this and that why the and then I'm looking for I'm looking online I I literally went online I'm like all right where's you know what are the best rated protein I'm like wait a minute my fucking homie owns one of the best fucking proteins on the goddamn planet statistically proven he's put fucking decades into this shit he has been punched in the face and the dick every single fucking day of his business career because that's what being in business is and he's made it why the fuck wouldn't I just go buy his shit? Did I call him and say hey uh hey do you think he could hook me up do you think he could hook me up with some proteins and some I'm looking at this this and this you think he could you could think he'd send me some send me something my way no I went online and I went to his company's website and I ordered the shit. I paid for it out of my bank account and now I'm awaiting delivery and when I get the delivery I will make a video about it and it will be fucking positive. It will be amazing I didn't call him fucking asking for anything or and I didn't do the other thing that people will do that conniving fucking shit where they call you and be like hey uh you know I was just on your website and uh I'm looking to change proteins and uh and this can go with anything car parts anything. Yeah yeah I was uh I was looking at your proteins uh you know what do you think is the best what do you what do you what are you what would you recommend you know if I'm looking for this this and then and the whole time they're doing this the whole time they're running you through the fucking ringer on the other end of the line they're waiting for you to say you know what let me just send you a couple of things yeah yeah and then and then and then let me know what you think that's what they're fucking waiting for. Fuck you people that are like this buy your friend shit yeah well now that you know I know because I thought he was just mainly in Canada with the company and I didn't know like I don't usually order anything out of the states but now that I know that since you showed me today before the show that he's got a place you know you can order it and all that stuff in the United States well guess what when my protein run's out guess what I'm buying I'm supporting my homie yeah because that's what it's about yeah and I'm not calling him and telling him hey I ordered a bunch of shit uh uh pat me on the back for supporting you uh uh uh no none of that I'm gonna make a fucking video and he's gonna fucking see the video pop up on my shit and he's gonna go holy fuck that's awesome you know like that's the way it should be no you're right and that's the way it should be you got to support your friends like if if if I if I knew a buddy like had a motorcycle shop if I need to work done guess what I'm taking my motorcycle there I'd rather support that than big box companies I will caveat all of this though if your friend sells bullshit if your friend sells garbage and he's running a bad business don't support that don't support that you can spell that shit a mile away you know if don't don't don't support it but if you're if you're if your buddies have a business a legitimate business that does well that you know proven time and time again go support them yeah even if they're just starting off support them even if it turns out however it turns out you know who knows support them because that support's gonna go a long way and it's it's gonna actually you're not having to do it because you feel the need to you do it because you generally want to you want to see them succeed even if you don't fucking need like if I don't need some and if a buddy of mine's got a business if I don't fucking need it like I'd done it I did it before with an old ex-friend of mine who had his leather shop I went there to support him and bought some stuff yeah even though I didn't fucking need it I still went there and I to support him yeah why not yeah support them make a video about about you know how you bought your shit bought the shit and it's great and all this other stuff or you know whatever it's it's very fucking simple to to just support your fucking friends but the people don't want to support their friends people want to be the smartest guy in the fucking room and they think if they're buying their friends shit that means their friend has something to offer that can be purchased while they don't and all of a sudden that puts them on the different tier and they want to be everybody wants to believe everybody's fucking equal and we fucking ain't we just fucking ain't it's not we're not supposed to be equal. We're supposed to be fucking different. We're supposed to be unique delicate little flowers and do our own fucking thing. Yeah and and one other thing I just gotta say if if if somebody that you know owns a business don't be the like you were talking about don't be that cocksucker that is gonna play ring around the rosy with them to try to get a deal pay the full price you don't need a discount you're helping them out yeah so stop well and here's another thing on that topic because I've been in the con I was I I've been in a couple of conversations recently um with this situation so um when somebody you know starts a fucking business and you are involved in that just helping them out let's say you pass you you know you help them out but you pass out flyers you drove around the neighborhood put flyers in mailboxes or you did a couple of videos this and that or maybe you've even helped them over the weekend you know print some t-shirts or make some protein powders or fucking do whatever involvement doesn't equal ownership and this is one of the situations I'm dealing with with some other fucking guys right now I'm not actually in the situation I'm the third party mediator that they come that they're coming to they have come to to settle the dispute and it it it it two of the fucking guys think they should have ownership of the fucking guy's company because they've been helping him build it and the fucking simple principle is you're not ownership you're you decided to fucking help him out to do the thing and you know one guy goes he's like yeah but it was he's like a lot of this was my idea okay well let's let's look at the idea great you had the idea what did you do with the idea that you had not a fucking thing that's key you gave it to somebody else and then he he then sat there for 12 hours of fucking day and made the idea happen. He made the idea work he generated all the brochures he generated all the website fucking uh copyright or copy he he generated all the images for the website he generated all the ads for the fucking company he did all the fucking work while you had the idea just you having the fucking idea and shooting it to your buddy doesn't give you ownership because if that was the fucking case there would everybody in the fucking country would own a fucking would own a business together because at some point or another you've given an idea to somebody and they've given an idea to you and one of you has made it go.
SPEAKER_01I think I well and I think the idea portion of that is maybe five percent of it who gives a fuck about ideas I mean really right exactly I mean every an idea is like an asshole everybody's got one.
SPEAKER_00Well look at here here's a perfect example everybody wants to blow Steve Jobs right not that he's dead not now that he's dead but metaphorically speaking everybody wants to blow this fucking guy for being an innovator and a fucking genius in this shit uh I believe it was Bill Burr uh don't quote me on that but I believe it was Bill Burr that he even did a comedy skit. He's like was he a fucking genius or did he literally just walk into a room and go yeah everything that's on this computer that computer that computer and that computer I want it all in a phone make it happen. And then he walked the fuck out of the room what input did he give where was his engineering where was his design no the motherfucker was the idea guy and he fucking walked in with an idea and a hundred other motherfuckers made it happen. Now because he owned the company or he was the CEO of the company that flew but if you're starting a brand new company if he was to walk into the fucking garage back in what was it 85 or something that when and when Apple started in that garage he walked in there and goes yeah put all this shit in there and then walk the fuck back out and then he came later after Apple fucking hit and he said why I should be an owner I had the idea the fucking judge would laugh him out of the fucking room yeah yeah unfortunately that people just seem to think you know hey I had I had this idea and I've been helping him that doesn't make you an owner you know because the person that actually owns the company has been putting the work in you know when you when you're putting the 12 16 hour days in to build your brand build your company and it I don't care if it's somebody might have said it as an idea you have no ownership to that you're not putting in any work except for saying hey I think my toilet paper should have a cardboard ring in there so it'd be easier to put on something like really and you think you have to be part owner for that because you had some stupid idea but the next person ran with him because he thought hey maybe just maybe it can work but we have to make this change to make it work.
SPEAKER_01Right. So I mean where's your legitimate where where do you think that you own some of that company or here's another one here's another good one.
SPEAKER_00This is where the entitlement really shows right so you'll have you'll have two or three fucking friends and they'll all be fucking drunk one night they'll kick around a fucking idea we should do this and then yeah and then the next day comes and everybody's like yeah we should do that and then let's say you got three friends one of them he fucking don't do a goddamn thing not a goddamn thing he's like we should totally fucking do that all he's gonna do is just sit back and fucking be like fuck yeah dude we're doing this while he does absolutely nothing on any level in his life then the other friend he goes yeah we should fucking do this we're doing this this is fucking happening and then he goes off and does something else he he maybe he's moving forward in life but he's doing something else it has nothing to do with this and then that third friend actually takes that idea says yes let's fucking do something with this and then that motherfucker gets to work on it. That motherfucker he's now get he's on he's in contact with the government about what business licenses costs, how it should go, what state you should register in, if you need a fucking registered fucking uh you know a registered uh representative of the company to live in that state he's got the tax laws down he's learning all the fucking sales tax certificates that you need to fucking apply for so that you can even pay the sales tax that they will then you know take your business away if you don't he's doing all this then he's working on the imaging and then he's working on the content and the context then he's working on the fucking product design he's doing all this shit. That motherfucker owns it. But these other two motherfuckers are going to be like dude we started this shit together. No we had the idea together we didn't start shit together. We had the idea together you said rah rah rah and then went over there and did nothing. You said rah rah rah and then went over there and did your own shit. I said rah rah rah and then I got to fucking work on the fucking idea that we were rah rah rah and I own this shit. People can't fucking stomach that they cannot handle that level of business and that's that's one of the separating factors. When you really fucking think you're in business when you really think you know about business fucking put yourself in that situation and see how you'd fucking feel and you would I guarantee you'd be doing all sorts of mental gymnastics about why you should be the owner because you had the idea with a yo we were all drunk together remember we were all hanging out doing this this and this together right remember that's when the idea came remember and then we talked about it and we rah rah it together remember that makes me a fucking owner yeah but what happened after the idea nothing that that that that alleviates you of the ownership maybe maybe just maybe on the outside fucking reaches of our imagination if we just pretend for a second having an idea together makes you fucking co-owners your lack of effort into that idea the forward progression of that idea then immediately alleviates you of your ownership ownership role your ownership material your ownership status even the court stuff I've done it in business I did it with Rogue St. Clothing Company I started fucking Rogue St. Clothing Company I brought a dude in and his wife and the whole idea was he had to fucking he had to sell the shit and you know we were doing we we started doing commercial printing and we were doing our own brand work I said you sell the brand work to places you sell commercial printing to places I'll handle all of the production all of the design all of that and then your wife will be the CFO she'll handle all the money we make the fucking guy that was supposed to sell the shit sold not fucking dick he would until I fucking scream at him and then he would go sell one commercial job he'd make us a couple of hundred bucks while I busted my ass to produce the fucking thing and then I would and then the money would come in and then we find out that his fucking wife the CFO who we fucking who I appointed to that position because she wanted to be she wasn't even originally part of the concept she wanted in so badly and I I thought she would be a good fucking fit because she ran numbers for a car dealership all day. That was her job she was the the main accountant for the fucking car dealership well come to find out a year later the government's messaging me telling her calling me telling me that my business hasn't paid its taxes and it's gonna and we're gonna get our license pulled we're gonna get our tax ID pulled we're gonna get our fucking our our you know our our um certificate to pay sales tax pulled why the fuck what do you mean it hasn't been what so I called the fucking woman and I said what the fuck is going on and then again I got the answer from her husband about this fucking beat around the bush shit. So then I went in I went into QuickBooks 12 months later 12 fucking months later there was literally one cent entered into the fucking QuickBooks account just and that was just to test to see if it would it was it was active she had done zero fucking things and I'm not embellishing zero fucking things there was one cent put through QuickBooks in 12 fucking months and then he and then I find out he was protecting her the whole fucking time he wasn't selling the shit I would make the shit I would give it to him so he could deliver it or drop it off at the post office and he didn't do that for fucking days or weeks sometimes I fucking I was like you motherfuckers are out y'all motherfuckers are out woman I I I'm refraining from using their names but I said woman you are fucking out of this business effective immediately you have done zero things and now you've got me in in tax trouble with the fucking government you're out and you know what I got I got a fight I'm not out I'm part owner bullshit you failed to instill fucking faith in your business partners that's part of the fucking contract if you make me go to fucking court over this it's gonna be a fucking problem so it was a fight to get her out she thought she was just owner and fuck it right I'm I'm part owner fuck it you got to work motherfucker and then it came to the point very quickly after that where he had to go I I told him I said you motherfucker and we were friends before this I saw so I told him straight out I said motherfucker if you make me take you to fucking court there's gonna be bad blood. If you walk away on your own you can fuck we we may still remain friends but you either have to be all the way in or all the way the fuck out because all you are now is a fucking problem. You get in my way every fucking time I turn around and here's the other fucking problem that really drove me crazy about this is this motherfucker always wanted to argue about fucking percentages of ownership. So when we were when we started it it was 5941 or 5149. I was 51 of course because here's the other thing guys if you've never started a business and you want to start a business with partners it can never be 50-50. If you have a 50-50 business you're a fucking retard because at some point you guys are going to butt heads and you're and if you're a 5050 partner everything just stagnates it's just stalemates and nothing ever happens because nobody has the legal power to make the decision it has to be skewed in one person's favor at all fucking times. So it was 5149 me. Well we want he wanted her in she wanted in I said okay her percentage comes out of your percentage and he goes okay well I guess I could choke that down. He's like you're not gonna give up anything no I'm not gonna give up anything I'm I'm I'm not bringing in my fucking wife to this right so you're you're gonna give up your shit it's still all going to your house what are you fucking crying about well you know I I just I you know I think I should be this percentage. Oh so you're hung up on the number that's wonderful well then we we we had that whole big fucking blowout and conversation and what the way it worked out is if she was to quit or not decide it wasn't for her she couldn't do it anymore when she left he would then get that percentage back well when it all blew out when it all blew up right uh I found out he wasn't doing his job either so what did I do? I took her percent as the 51% fucking sh stakeholder in the company and the the dominating voice in the company the decision maker I took I took the woman's the what his wife's percentage and I gave it to my wife and I because she came in and she fixed everything in a fucking in two weeks it took her two fucking weeks to fix everything but she got it done she fucking busted her ass. I gave her the percentage and you know what he said about he said about that he was fucking pissed he was absolutely fucking irate I said so how let me tell you this let me let me ask you this dude I said you're gonna really sit across my table and we were in my kitchen you're gonna sit across the table from me at my fucking table having not done any of your fucking job having not helped this company at all and on top of not helping it you actually hindered it. You've cost us a fuck ton of money you've you've you've put us backwards several fucking times you've lied to me about what you were doing. You've lied to me about what she was doing and then you want to fucking piss and moan when I tell you if you give up if you give up a bit of your percentage I can fucking put this into the company out of my own pocket because this is the way it had to work at that time legally to get all of this that I would buy personally into the company to get it I he had to give up fucking donate here he had to give up put some of his percentage and he fucking fought me tooth and nail on it. Fought me tooth and nail while he was doing nothing but fucking the company and his friend he wanted to argue about his fucking percentage this is why this is one of the examples that I have of why I've always sworn off partners but now at this level I've got fucking different partners. I've got access and opportunity to partners I know will do shit and are already in business so that proves they've done shit. And you know I've got some other fucking things cooking here and there and the other thing who knows what will happen with them. But those some of those things are with people that it's like you know I just know I'm gonna fight I know I'm gonna get in a fight with when it comes to that ownership. So but because I've learned this shit over time you know I've I've been through the fucking trenches I I know now within my heart who's gonna make it and who fucking ain't right you know no no exactly well hell man I remember uh before we before I even came on with came on to the show and all that stuff we had a comp we had a conversation about that stuff and that was some stuff that was brought up and all that stuff and my answer to that was I don't care what I'm saying I mean it's just like because you're right as somebody has to be 51% they always have to be 51% because they're also and I speak from experience because I had a business where it was 5050 and it completely fucking backfired.
SPEAKER_01It completely backfired and the thing was is you know again with this whole idea thing we had the idea I did all the work I ran with it I got the contracts I got all of it I figured out the plan for like procedures and all that stuff I did all the work while he just sat in the background and one thing I learned from that business is I'll never go into business 5050 like that again with somebody and if you're not doing any work I don't want to be in business with you. Right. If you're not doing shit I don't want to waste my time with you.
SPEAKER_00Well and here's the other thing let's flip side this okay because that's fun right let's take the part of the person not doing anything um let's say you're not doing anything and you don't want to do anything and that's typically why you're not doing anything um but yet you're still involved. Why argue about owning it? Why don't you just thank your lucky stars that the fucking guy that does own it, even if you started it at the same time, if he does fucking own it, let's say he copyrighted the motherfucker right out from right, you know, quote air quotes right out from underneath you. You're not doing anything. Why not just fucking be glad you're part of it? And maybe fucking pull your head out of your ass, use it as a learning experience, get working, and then maybe later on you can become part of fucking part of the fucking ownership status. I here's the other aspect. You know what? I'm gonna tell you, and ever and business owners will all tell you this too. There is a certain amount of um peace that you have from not holding ownership. You get to be part of everything, everybody get all the fans get to see you as part of it, all the fans get to think you own it, but you don't. And that alleviates you from a lot of the fucking kicks in the dick that ownership gives you. Why not just enjoy being every bit of a part of it as you ever were and ever want to be, but you don't have to deal with any of the bullshit? It's pride and ego. Well, I want to fucking own it. Yeah, but you're you're you're a part of it. Well, I want to fucking own it. But why? Well, because I feel like I should. And you know what it always comes down to? Money. They everybody thinks that business owners are all making all the fucking money. Most of the time, business owners are the brokest motherfuckers in the business because after we pay the fucking overhead for the utilities, the water, the lights, the all that shit, the gas, then we pay for the fucking mortgage on the building, then we pay for the insurance on the building, then we pay for all our tax IDs and our tax certificates, and then we pay the government for the honor and pleasure of fucking working for it. After we pay all this, then we pay payroll, pay, we pay uh pay play payroll. That's a tongue twister right there. We pay payroll, and then after payroll, what's left? We get we get fucking 200 bucks for the week.
SPEAKER_01That's the way they people don't understand. I couldn't tell you how many times being a business owner after you're paying everything, you know, all your expenses and all that stuff, and you know, making sure the employees are paid and all that, and you walked away with a couple hundred bucks, and it's like, well, hey, honey, we got a couple hundred bucks we can get some groceries with while everybody else is making bringing home 1600 bucks. Yeah, you know, they're bringing home mass money, and I'm over here bringing home 200 bucks. It's like, well, Hunt, uh, we can eat this week. You know, my employees are taken care of. Yeah. Yeah. They don't get that part, they don't see that part. And just being a part of it, I mean, let's be honest, it's just being a part of that like the business and not being an owner and anything like that, you like you said, you alleviate so many headaches. Now you don't have to worry about the government, you don't have to worry about taxes, you don't have to worry about you know all the bullshit that comes with that being kicked in the dick, like you said. You don't have to deal with that, and you can enjoy the you know all the fruits of the labor. So pick and choose what you really want. Because if you really want to be a business owner, you have to understand you're gonna deal with a lot of bullshit in customer complaints, things going wrong, making sure everybody's paid, making sure this is paid, making sure that's paid. And what are you gonna do if all of a sudden for some reason clients aren't paying? And you got employees and you got this. Now you got to start thinking, okay, how am I gonna get all the shit paid and pay my guys and do all this stuff? You don't have to worry about that, right?
SPEAKER_00And not only do you not have to worry about that, you are all free to do your own fucking thing. If you want to own something, you could actually go do it and own it your whole self. You could just own it your whole self. Let's take this show for example. You're not an owner of this fucking show. We like with the conversation we had. This is my motherfucking show. I own this shit, I own all the fucking licensing for it, I own all the fucking things, and you know what else I own about this show? The responsibility for if it gets fucked up. If if we say some shit on here, all that shit falls back on me. You get to be 100% part of the show. We call it our show, all of this shit. But while I'm sitting here potentially fucking having to deal with the government, breathing down my neck or lawyers breathing down my neck for something that was fucking said, even if you said it, you can you could be off doing fucking hammer drop shit. You could be off starting a whole new business of your fucking own that you can have running in the background, building you passive income. You could be doing all of this shit while I'm fucking pulling my fucking beard hairs out, crying in the middle of the goddamn floor at night because something bad is really happening. It's it's incredibly freeing to be a part of something without having to take all the heat for it. Oh, exactly.
SPEAKER_01It is, and you know, I wouldn't ask for it any other way because this gives me the opportunity to do those things in the background that I want to do for myself. You know, it it's just like and being a part like just as this show in general, just being a part of the show is just an honor for me. Do you know it? But honor's a little bit of a stretch. I mean, let's be well. I I'm I'm also I'm built to I'm built differently. Yeah, you know, I'm built a lot differently than a lot of different people. You know, it's you know, hey, I enjoy what I do, and that's that's all that matters to me. It I don't give a fuck. I have a career, I don't give a fuck about money. I don't stop saying that.
SPEAKER_00I would have been that no no no don't say you don't give a fuck about money. That is manifesting the worst shit. You're telling the universe you don't give a fuck about money, so it's gonna tell you all right, we're gonna take the money away.
SPEAKER_01All right, let's let's bring that back. I care about money, but I also care about you know, I if I believe in something, I care about that as well.
SPEAKER_00But you I think what the what what is important here is you care about money, you you need money, you understand that money, and you want money, but what you're I think what you're what you're really trying to say is that you don't care about ownership of this show because you have the opportunity, you're part of it, and you can use the notoriety that it may get you, you can use that for your own shit. You can be part of the show, and then once the show is doing this, then I go over here and I do all this other fucking amazing shit on my own that I own a hundred percent of it. You know what I mean? Like that's where your money comes from, and that's where a lot of these fucking people with these podcasts, like uh everybody in this day and age, everybody's got a fucking podcast. Everybody that has a voice thinks they can fucking run a podcast. It's fucking wild to watch. There's six and a half million fucking podcasts, and only two million get listened to. But everybody thinks they're a fucking superstar when they could just be doing other things, uh, you know, with the that they have strengths in and making the money there, but they're fucking so concerned about I want to own the podcast. Fuck that, just go do something else, be a part of the podcast, go do something else that fits your strengths, fits your window of of you know, comfort will air quote, uh, and and and go build some shit, you know. It's it's fucking wild.
SPEAKER_01I love those people that want to start podcasting, you know. I know and I know a lot of people that I'm I have a podcast, this and then I go and I go look, you know, friends and stuff like that. I'll go look at their podcast, and they have like 200 downloads, and I listen to it, and the audio is just shit, you know, it's not professional whatsoever. It's like, okay, no wonder why nobody's wanting to listen because it's just you're peaking, you're you know, you're too low, all this stuff, and you know, and then try to critique them, and they're like, Oh no, I think it sounds good. Yeah, continue on then. Yeah, sounds it sounds fantastic. Just keep asking yourself why you're not getting any listeners, you know, and then uh for me, but like because I you know I had the my podcast, they haven't drops, you know. I I put it on hold because you know I'm focusing on this and other stuff that's going on. You know, I can go on to my podcast because I still have it live. I go on my podcast, I'm still getting fucking five, you know, three four hundred downloads a month, and not even put I haven't put anything out in how long? Right. And I'm still getting people downloaded, so it's like okay, whatever, you know. But you look at those other people that oh, I want to be a podcast, and like 200 and six months. That's it.
SPEAKER_00It's like well, just and the other thing too is having to do with the you know, especially with the podcast thing, is everybody's got this thing in their in their head and where they just they they everybody thinks they deserve to be a star. Do you though? Are you a star material or are you material to do something really great somewhere else? You know, I'm uh I'm ugly, so I'm I'm not you know, I'll be a star because I'm ugly.
SPEAKER_01I'm I'll be I'll be the poster child for ugly.
SPEAKER_00Right, right. But people got it, they get it in their heads, they want to be the star, they want to be, they want to be on the camera, they want to be everybody's swooning and fawning all over them. And most people just don't got it. Like, and people don't like hearing it, you know, like fucking hearing it, but some people just don't got it. Maybe you don't got and and this is what's really and and and and I'm really trying, I'm really genuinely not being an asshole when I say this, because it really does hurt my heart when I watch a lot of my friends trying to be the star, trying to be in front of the camera, and they just don't have it, and then you tell them, I tell them, bro, listen here, dude. You don't got it. Like, I'm I'm I'm a very direct person, you just don't got it. Like if you had it, it would have happened by now. You've got 12,000 fucking episodes out, and you're still getting 12 downloads of weight all week. Like it's you just don't got it. You could be doing something so fucking amazing if you would just give up on this I need to be a star bullshit and go do what your fucking strength is. In fact, like we've had a we we had a conversation about productions, and I mentioned a buddy of mine who he was on another show and he had that whole star mentality, blah blah blah blah blah. Well, he fucking he just said fuck it. He's like, I'm just gonna, I'm he had a little breakdown, which is totally fine. Everybody gets him. Right, no judgment. I've had breakdowns. I've literally been blubbering on the floor at 2:30 in the morning when I've had a when I got an order that has to go out at 6 a.m. and I just fucked up 250 hoodies. So I've I've done it. It's no shade. But he had a fucking, he had a bit of a breakdown and he got mad and he said, fuck it. You know what? And he he told my butt, my buddy Jacob, he's like, just take me off the fucking show. I'll run everything from behind the show. I'm gonna do the boards, I'm gonna do the fucking club, the clips, I'm gonna do the cuts, I'm gonna do the ad marketing, I'm gonna do the ad writing, I'm gonna do everything for the fucking show, and I don't want to be on the fucking show. And he did that for it, took him two two months. And he immediately and he like had this epiphany. He's like, he's like, dude, he called me and he's like, dude, he's like, you know, I've been doing this shit. He ran through the fucking thing, and I was like, Yeah, I know all this stuff. I was like, so what are you getting at? And he's like, he's like, dude, I'm happy. And he's like, I was like, good, and he's like, no, but you don't understand, like, I'm happy, like, I'm happy on a level I've never been before. I'm happy on the level that I thought doing that was gonna get me. And it's it's it's it's hard. And I was like, yeah, because it's hard to understand that what you're told you want, because most people want to be a star because they're told you should be a star. It's hard to understand that maybe that wasn't the thing that made you happy. And now you're doing the thing that makes me made made you happy. And now back to the fucking to circle all the way the fuck back to the ownership part. Now he owns now, now he's part owner of the podcast, and it's doing well, it's doing very well. He's part owner of the podcast, he was just part of it before, now he's part owner of it, and he's fucking doing he's killing it, and he's fucking he's wonderfully happy. Same principle of Andy Frisella and Chris Klein. They're business partners in first form, they've been business partners in a bunch of shit. And Andy has said multiple fucking times publicly, we have different roles. I'm the face of the company, I'm the attitude of the company, I'm this. He is the fucking guy in the back room, and he loves it that way. I can't go anywhere without having a gaggle of fucking people, and mind you, I'm not talking about me, I'm talking still in Andy's shoes. He said, I can't go anywhere without having a fucking gaggle of people around me at all fucking times, wanting autographs to take pictures. He's like, it's fucking hard a lot of the time. You can't ever get left alone. Meanwhile, he has just as much money as I do, every bit as much money as I do, every bit as much of power as I do, if not more, because he knows the financial ends of things. He can walk into any fucking restaurant he wants, sit down at a table, have a nice quiet dinner with his wife, and nobody knows who the fuck he is. And he loves it that way. He loves it that way. It you don't always have to be the fucking star to be happy.
SPEAKER_01No, and well, and I think that's a good take. I mean, you know, you don't always have to be that star or that person that you know you want to be in the limelight of everything to be happy. Sometimes that is going to make you as miserable as you would ever have been. Yeah, it's just find what you love and do it. And sometimes what you think you love isn't what you're meant to do, but what you're meant to do will come.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, well, and that's another thing is you know, what we so it's a learning process, and you're gonna have to learn that this isn't the thing you were meant to fucking do, and it's gonna be a hard transition, a hard pill to swallow. But once you start doing the thing you were meant to do, you will achieve a happiness and a level of fulfillment and contentment that you didn't think you would get, and now you have it all because you decided to just fucking try. Just try something else. Try something for a little while. If it's not working, then try something else. You know, if you're doing something as an outlet for fun, you know, it's not supposed to make you money, it's just supposed to be fun. Great, do that then, but don't start looking at it and eventually as like, why isn't this making any money? No, no, no, no, no. You do that for fun. The money-making shit is over there. Go do that, you're better at that, you know. And it's like, dude, you know, like I say a lot of times, the world needs fry cooks. That's not shade. Sometimes I say it that way. When you're fucking retarded and you can't do anything with your fucking life or uh or a career other than fucking cook fries, that's that's pretty sad. But the world needs fry cooks too. Nobody wants to fuck everybody, dude. Everybody goddamn knows well that if you go to a place and you get something with fries, whether it's a McDonald's or a sit-down restaurant, and you take a bite of a good fry, you're like, that's a good fucking fry. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. The guy that cooked them made is making people's fucking day every single fucking day, all fucking day long, and he's cooking fries. The guy, the waitress, she's probably ruining motherfuckers' day because she's got to be the one that says, Well, we're out of the fries.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they're so good that we're out of the fries. Exactly. And then that guy that's putting those fries in the in the fryer could pat himself on the back because he's putting out a hell of a product. And he never has to deal with any of the bullshit. Nope. He can just sit there and be happy.
SPEAKER_00Let's wrap this shit up. Um, don't be the fucking people that are closed-minded and open-mouthed. Be closed-mouthed, open-minded. Learn new shit every single fucking day. It doesn't matter where or who it is that is standing in front of you or where you're at. Learn something fucking new every day. At least be able to listen to somebody. And if they give you some advice and it's not good advice and you know why it's not good advice, be kind, be nice, be gentle, and set them straight. Be like, okay, I understand why you're you're looking at it this way, but I have been in that scenario before. And let me tell you what's gonna happen. And this is gonna save you some time later. And then just help them out. They tried to help you out now. You help them out. Don't be like they tried to help me out, and I know everything. Fuck them, they're an asshole. So now I'm gonna rema rake them across the poles. It's not gonna don't do that. Don't just be a fucking decent fucking dude, you know, do your shit, be cool, and fucking go on about life.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you know, that's what you got to do, man. Just be happy, be happy with what you're doing.
SPEAKER_00Yep, and don't don't always consistently think that something else is gonna make you fucking happy.

Uh, we are going to be adding more pages to that when we have other people in. StreamYard has this neat new thing where the your guests can stream to their page. We're gonna be doing all that shit when we get the guests in. Um and on the guest, on the on the note of the guests. Uh, we haven't had guests lately because we're still we're reorganizing, and I don't want to have guests right now. And to be honest with you, um, I'm kind of running out of love for a lot of people on this planet, and I'm finding not a lot of cool fucking people really at this point. Um, everybody's just kind of like they're so divisive and divided that everybody's really showing their true colors. So I haven't been paying attention. I'm just letting that all calm down, and then we'll get back to the guest shows. Um, but our guest shows were are gonna be fucking awesome. They're gonna be coming back. Um, but we, you know, we we have so much fun on the live show that I like that's where my focus is right now.

And we're going to get into religion. We're going to get all the way into it. We are not Dave. We're not going to sit here and just attack the Christians. I would never do such a thing. You would too. So would I. So would I. I got to pull back on this a little bit. Um, no, what we're the whole point of the show is to enlighten and educate. We we are all, all of us, every uh, every one of us on this panel has been really taking it up the ass from the fucking Christian kingdom for the last several months, especially, but for a long time prior to that, and we came together and we think it's just time to educate these motherfuckers that want to come after us. Not all Christians. I have some of my best friends are Christians, some of the most beautiful people I've ever met are Christians. Um, we're not here to just tear up Christianity, but we are here to get real about it because there is some delusions surrounding this religion and some other religions that we we practice. Me and Dave are pagan. Uh Huckleberry is uh, you know, he's making his way into Norse paganism. Um uh is is going through a whole theological and religious kind of transformation himself. Um, Troy has his own set of beliefs. Um we're we're different walks of life, but y'all motherfuckers just do nothing but talk shit about us. Uh and we're we're here to set the record straight. So join us a lile July 11th, Saturday at 6 p.m. Central for a live show. We're gonna be doing it. We're gonna be streaming it on everybody's fucking page. The Misfits of Myth. We are setting up. Um, we are we're writing pitch decks and bios and doing imaging and all this other shit. It's on its way and it's going to be fucking amazing. SPEAKER_00You just I got it right this time.
SPEAKER_01I was fucking it up last week.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you fucked it up last week. I fucked it up this week. That's the way it goes. It's all good. So, all right, we got uh we got good we got all the way down into it. Let's remind ourselves that humanity still exists with a little segment called Hopelessly Human that starts a little bit like people can be libert, they can be quite tough, they can get in the way, but at the end of the day, some are not stupid, some are hopelessly human. Yes, yes, they are. Some are hopelessly human, and this one is no different. This one comes to you from familysearch.org. It's called Love Served Warm. My childhood home was filled with memories of unexpected guests on pretty much any day of the week. This was predominantly because of the renowned, hospitable nature of my mother, Anna Jean Michelle. Um, mom was the epitome of kindness, the epitome of kindness. She was a master storyteller, host, and chef. Her love language was food. Her stage was her kitchen, and her secret sauce was her warm, inviting disposition. She never minded unannounced guests any night or any day of the week. She seemed intuitively to anticipate the company. She always cooked for two to three times the capacity of our family, which became common knowledge among family friends and friends of friends of friends. No one ever knocked before entering our home. We innately knew the door was always open and they were always welcome. Mom rarely stopped to sit and visit. Instead, while she bustled around the kitchen in her apron, she visited with her guests who sat around the oversized kitchen bar and in the overflow space of the adjacent living room. She was popular with young and old of all persuasions of people. As mom stirred up a family culinary favorite, she entertained the endless jokes and funny stories and would inquire about the guests' welfare. We needed, she uh we need when needed, she offered encouraging support, amazing hugs, loving smiles, healing laughter, leftovers to go, and the undoubtedly palatable, palpable feeling that you are welcome back anytime without invitation. The door to her kitchen and her heart were always open. My mother's kind example had a profound influence on me. As a child, I learned that everyone was important and welcome. No time required to serve another host or visitor, announced or unannounced, was an inconvenience. Mom's unspoken motto was prepare for the unexpected guest, listen, help in their times of need, always be accommodating, and remember that food is the universal language. That's hopelessly human, and that's the show. Later, guys.
