Dr Gigi Abdel - Samed, an ER Physician, was working 12 to 13-hour night shifts, prescribed medication by her own medical system, medication that turned out to be addictive. What followed was a period she could barely account for. Sleeping through the day, waking disoriented, doing things she had no memory of. This period changed her life, but the consequences were significant.
