Episode 29 - Elvera Makki ABC, SCMP
In this episode, I travel to the heart of Asia to chat with Elvera Makki, or Vera as she is known to her friends. Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, Vera is a certified Strategic Communication Management Professional with more than two decades of experience in our profession.
She is an Eisenhower Innovation Fellow, president of the IABC Indonesia chapter and the Founder and CEO of VMCS Public Relations, a communication and social impact advisory firm. Vera was named one of the "Top 100 Most Impactful CSR Leaders" by World CSR Congress in 2017, and in the same year, was named one of the “Top 50 Asian Woman Leaders” by CMO Asia.
Vera shares her passion for social impact and talks about her work advising organisations on building their reputation through ESG communication. She also talks about the incredible value of ongoing learning and putting that learning into practice, having worked in many large international organisations throughout her career.
