Welcome back to Thriving Loudly, the podcast where we help you break out of survival mode and step into alignment.
SPEAKER_01My name is Tranice and I'm Aisha. Today's episode is all about reset energy, stepping into aligned version of yourself.
SPEAKER_00Spring is about rebirth, clarity, and evolution. Today we're talking about who we're becoming in this new season.
SPEAKER_01Yes, I'm so excited for this episode. I cannot believe we're already three months into the new year. Like, where is the time going?
SPEAKER_00I know. It's like April is around the corner. I feel like when this episode actually airs will be April. So I mean, it's it's flying by. I can't believe it. I'm like, I'm shook right now.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, what's going on? Exactly. Yeah. What has 2026 taught you so far?
SPEAKER_00It's taught me to let go. Um, it's taught me to just be open again to possibility and new experiences and just just kind of just kind of releasing, right? Like um, 2026 hasn't been the best start of the year for me. Um I I lost a family member, which was tough. Um, my grandpa and I was really close to both my grandparents. Um I actually lost my grandma a year ago. So it's been kind of back to bath, back to back deaths. And um, you know, you're just trying to navigate that, you know, um, for myself, um, up until now, I never really had to experience loss, you know, um, to to this kind of extent, you know, especially when you have close family members. So it's been something I've been personally navigating and it hasn't been always easy, but you know, it's kind of it has it definitely has taught me a lot to you know to let go. And um, you know, both my grandparents lived very long lives. They lived until their my grandpa lived until 99, which is freaking awesome, you know. I think we all would love to have a very long life like that. And um, you know, it's just taught me what the circle of life really means. And, you know, tomorrow's never promised. You gotta live your life and you gotta go follow your dreams. And I feel like there's been this new kind of reignition into my passion and my purpose because I kind of felt over the last couple of years a little bit like, I don't know, this is what I'm supposed to be doing, especially, you know, social media contingent. I'm like, I don't know. But I feel like over the last few months I've really found that this is what I love. I've always loved. I've always loved it. You know, I've been doing it since I was like, oh my gosh, since I was like 18. Um, I've been on camera and um I love it. And um yeah, I I'm very, you know, grateful for for this life and everything I'm building, and I'm excited for what's to come for myself. What about you? How has it started?
SPEAKER_01I I love that. Well, first of all, I just want to say my condolences again to your grandfather. Um, I know how that is. I lost my uncle. Is it two years now? Oh my gosh, it'll be two years on April 1st. Well, um, March, is it does this go to March 30th or 31st? 31st. Yeah, 31st going into April 1st. Um, so I know how that is to lose someone that's close to you. It it does, it just makes you have a different outlook on life and makes you appreciate it a lot more than you would have if you didn't lose that person. Um, but so far, 2026 has taught me to give back to myself. You know, like I said, 2025, I was foggy, you know, I was um dealing with a heartbreak, still dealing with the heartbreak now, but I'm overcoming that and I'm getting back to Trinice. And I feel like I'm finally stepping back into like, okay, I'm feeling good. I'm feeling like me. You know, I've been in the gym working out. Shout out to Marcus, my trainer. He's been training me. Um, and I've just been working on me in every way, shape, form that I can, learning how to say no. Like everything we talked about on that first episode, I have been implementing and it feels damn good. So that is where Tranice is at so far. And this heartbreak is disappearing. I love that. So I yeah, I'm healing. I'll say that it's not disappearing, but I'm healing. And so I just I feel so much better.
SPEAKER_00I like that. And you know, congrats on you know how far you've you've come in the last few months and even since last year. Yeah, you know, it's definitely it's definitely a blessing. And, you know, I think the thing that I think is a struggle for a lot of women is really pouring back into themselves. You know, you're we're all pulled pulled in so many different for directions from friends, family, significant other, you know, work, obligations. And I think the most powerful thing you can do for yourself is pour into you and focus on you. Um, because I feel like even for myself, I've listened to so much other noise from other people and their expectations from me. And I'm just like, no, I need to get back to what I like, who I who I am. And that's the most uh powerful radical thing you could do is focus on you and heal yourself. Yes. I love that.
SPEAKER_01Yes, focus on you and cut out the noise because people will tell you about who you are, what you should be doing, but what do you want to do? Who are you? And that yeah, that's what I've really been focused on. So what didn't go as planned for you? I'm I'm still working on all of this. So what hasn't gone? Um maybe I thought I would heal a little bit faster than what I have. Um, you know, just with anything, whenever you're going through a tough time, you know, you have days where you feel empowered, you feel good. Like today's one of those days. I'm like, yeah, I feel good. Tomorrow may be in the bed crying. Like it happens. Yeah. It happens. Um, so I would just say giving myself just grace and allowing my myself to truly heal, you know, like I don't, you don't have to be healed in a month. It may take you three months, it may take you a year. Yeah. But going through the motions, you know, and actually allowing myself to reflect and think and and understand myself more so that I don't put myself back in a situation like this. Yeah. You know, because this could have really been prevented, um, you know, had I would have done some things a little bit different. So I do take some accountability for it. Um, but yeah, just that that didn't go as planned because I thought, okay, well, I can just distract myself and I can just put the focus on me and you know, get in the gym and look good and do self-care. But if you're not working on yourself internally, nothing is gonna change.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. That's that's right.
SPEAKER_01That is 100%. Yeah. You can look as beautiful as you want to be. You can be in the gym, but if you are not doing that inner work, nothing is gonna change. That heartbreak is still gonna be there, that grief is still gonna be there, that depression is still gonna be there, it's not going away. So I agree. That's what I would say about you.
SPEAKER_00Uh, what didn't go as planned for me? I feel like I don't know. I mean, it's still very early on in the year to where I feel like nothing's gone fully sideways. I mean, obviously, I didn't plan to lose, you know, a relative so early in the year, you know, who wants to start their year like that? You know, nobody does. But um, I would say that would be the only thing. I think that I've been just staying on course with my goals and just kind of, like I said, getting back to how I want to feel, the things I enjoy, and not listening to other people's negative opinions. I think I kind of felt a little, I guess in 2025 and even a little bit of 2024, you kind of get looped into other people and what they're doing and how they're running their business. Or, you know, I would say, for example, for myself, you know, getting kind of sucked into not necessarily creator drama, but, you know, there's people that have a negative outlook on what they're doing. And, you know, that kind of rubs off on you a little bit because then you start to have a negative outlook and you start to see things and you're like, oh, maybe they're right about this, or maybe that is what's going on. And then it kind of, it kind of shifts your perception. I feel like I've let people shift my perception of being a content creator. Okay. And not by choice, but you know, when you're, you know, surrounded by people who may not feel the same way as you, you start to kind of believe it, right? You know, if you're, you know, who you're surrounding yourself with is kind of who you become in a little bit of a sense. So if you're around five people that like to work out, you're probably gonna be the sixth person that's gonna like to work out, right? If you surround yourself with people who have maybe a negative outlook on certain things, it can kind of rub off on you a little bit. And so I felt a little bit victim of that a little bit throughout the last few years. And um, you know, you know, just like people's opinions on the industry, like, oh, I can't do this, or I'm not making money doing doing content creation. And then you're like, oh yeah, you know, it has been a slow season for me. Yeah, maybe this isn't working out. You you start to kind of come spiral, yeah. Yeah, you start to spiral. And I think that's what I was doing. I was spiraling a lot. I was like, oh yeah, maybe they're right. Maybe it is like not really realistic. Maybe I need to look at like a nine to five, maybe you know, and so that was kind of what where my head was at for a lot of last year in part of 2024. And so I've kind of been like, you know what? Like, what if I just start to be optimistic? I just start being optimistic here.
unknownYou know?
SPEAKER_00So I decided. I was like, I decided, like starting this year, I was like, I'm gonna just start to have a little bit more of a positive outlook and let's see what happens. And when it comes to opportunities, brand deals, the things I'm landing, everything kind of shifted. And I was like, oh, things are going good. It things are okay. Yeah. Well, what why was I saying things weren't okay? And this couldn't happen, this couldn't work out. Yeah. And so it's mindset, mindset. And it's amazing the power of the tongue and your mindset can really change your entire reality. And you know, I know some people are like, oh, you know, manifestation is woo-woo, or you know, saying these things are woo-woo. But I mean, it is very, very real. It is, you know, your thoughts become things. If you're thinking everything bad is happening or every situation is bad, you're going to continue to seek out that negative. You're gonna be like, you're gonna see the negative in everything. If you shift it to positivity, you'll start to see the positive, you'll start to see the light at the end of the tunnel. And so that's where I've been.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you know, and I can I can definitely agree with that. I've always been like a positive person. And some people get upset with me because they're like, why is Tree's always so happy? But I'm like, I have to be, you know, I have to be positive because I know what the other side could look like. And I've been there. And I know in 2025, I was there, you know. I was like, this is not me. I'm always optimistic, I'm always fired up, ready to go. Like, this is this is taking me down. You know, this is turning me into somebody that I'm not. And so that's why I'm so amped up now. Like, I just feel like I'm getting my mojo back. I'm getting back to that Trinice, that motivator, you know, like, let's get it, let's get it done, let's do it, you know. So I definitely um agree with that and understand that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I love that. And um, how has your mindset changed um when it comes to discipline? Because I know you said you've been more consistent with working now. Yeah, and just just everything just feels a lot better. How did you make that mindset shift?
SPEAKER_01Um, I think reflection. Yeah, I think just sitting with myself and just really reflecting on who am I, what do I want, um, being honest with myself. And I think just allowing myself. One thing that I love to do for me, sometimes I just allow myself to be, I allow myself to grieve, I allow myself to have feelings, I allow myself to have emotions, not for too long, but I do. I'm like, if you want to go negative or whatever, do that, you know, get it out, like throw your tanger, tinder tandem or whatever, and then move on. And I think I've allowed myself to do that. I've allowed myself to just kind of sit in everything and from there, course correct. And so I think that's how my mindset has changed and it's helped me with discipline because I go back and I watch these, you know, these videos, and I'm like, yeah, I don't like that. I'm looking at the clips, yeah, not happy about that. So that's motivating me to stay consistent in the gym. It's like, okay, is this aligning with your goals? You say you want to be in fit. I mean, you say you want to be fit, you, you know, you're um working out and doing all these things, but are you really doing that? And so I had to start holding myself accountable. And I have, and you know, it's still a work in progress. Obviously, I'm not at my goal yet, but I'm I'm getting there. I think it comes down to mindset first. You have to make that shift before you start to really see the change. So I just I like to be real with myself. I like to look myself in the mirror. What do we need to change? What needs to happen? And when I'm serious and locked in, that's when the discipline happens. How about you?
SPEAKER_00I like that. Um, I I agree with that. I think the mindset thing is really important. You know, I think it's super easy for, you know, on a creator standpoint to spiral over performance and views, and this is not happening. I'm not getting, you know, work or brand deals or whatever the case may be. And I think I really had to kind of look at my systems a little bit and look at what am I doing? You know, where are there gaps in my day? Yeah. If I want to be a successful high earner content creator, what does that look like? What is she doing? I had to ask myself, what would the highest version of me be doing? Is she scrolling on TikTok or is she getting to the editing? Is she getting, is she taking care of business? Someone who's a high achiever and they're trying to get their job done. They're not bullshitting.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Like it's a put it. This is the truth. This is the truth. They're not bullshitting. They're putting in the work. They're putting in the work. And I kind of fell a little bit back a little bit with that. And I think it it is hard when you work for yourself and you're an entrepreneur to be self-motivated. It's it's an ever it's a never-ending struggle. Like, I'm not gonna say I have it all together because I don't. I'm working on it, but I had to kind of take, take, you know, you know, kind of like check in on myself. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And be like, what am I doing? Like this, if I want to get to that next level and you know, I want to get out of this negative mindset or this world, whatever I'm going through, I need to kind of take a tally on what am I doing? Yeah, you know, and um, for me, that really helped kind of shift a little bit. Like I said, it hasn't been easy, you know, just because of, you know, family circumstances and things happening. But yeah, you know, you kind of gotta make that mental shift. And um, that that's exactly what I've been doing. And it's a work in progress.
SPEAKER_01I love that taking inventory on your life. Yeah, you say you want to be this, you want to be this successful um entrepreneur or content creator. Is what you're doing aligning with that? Are your actions aligning with what you want? I think that is like very important. And oftentimes people want this, but their actions are not aligning. So this is just a dream at this point. This is hope, you know, until you make it actually actionable. So that is one of the things that I continue to work on as well. Cause, like you said, being an um an entrepreneur or business owner, it's like you set your own schedule. You know, if you want to get up at 11 o'clock, you can. But is that really gonna be sustainable for your business? No. Should you be up at maybe seven o'clock instead getting the day started? Probably, yeah. Do you need to take a two-hour lunch? No. Should you be taking maybe a 30-minute lunch or an hour lunch? Yeah. You know, so it's it's getting clear with yourself. And trust me, I had to do all of this. I've been, I've had my business now for four years. You know, in the beginning, it was like, whoa, yeah, you know, but it's I'm on a fixed schedule. I have to be because if it's one little thing and then it throws your whole day off, and then now it's yeah, seven o'clock. I'm like, oh my gosh, you know, so it's like that's what I'm like, I had to get my my win back. I had to get my fire back.
SPEAKER_00I love that. And I love that you mentioned that because I know for myself, you know, you've you said you've been doing what you've been doing for four years. I'm on kind of year three, you know, doing, you know, social media full time. And I feel like that honeymoon stage is ending. It's like, okay, this was good. You woo, you had your free time, you left your job, party. Now it's like, okay, we got to lock in if we want this to be sustainable. Like this, this isn't just whatever anymore. It's like, hey, you know, there are ebbs and flows. No matter what you do as an entrepreneur, there's going to be months where you're killing it. There's gonna be some slower months. What am I doing to kind of make up for those slow months? And I think that's the issue I've always been running into over the last couple of years, um, being a full-time creator. And it's now it's like, okay, if I want to sustain this, continue to have this as a career, I got to get the systems in place. And it's no longer like sleep until noon and just, you know, do this a food clap here, and then, you know, just whatever. It's like, no, I need to be also the four seasons. No, no, no, no, it's like I gotta, I have deadlines, you know, I have to pitch. I, you know, I have talent management, but I still have to pitch. I still have to, you know, respond to brands. I still have to write creative concepts if I want to get a paid brand deal. Like a lot of times, these brands are like, we like Aisha, but we need her to write a creative concept before we approve her for this deal. So it's a lot of like backend stuff that sometimes I was more lax with. Now it's like I gotta lock in.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I can definitely agree with that.
SPEAKER_00Have you struggled with being seen or judged now that we've been delen the podcast now? You know, and we're in this new, this new era. Like, how's that been for for you? Kind of switching gears out of just you know, the mindset shift? Because I know again, we were talking about mindset, and how's that been for you?
SPEAKER_01Um have I been so I've been seen, yes. I know you've I've definitely been seen, absolutely. And when I say everybody has come out of the woodworks, like people I have not talked to since like middle school, high school, like in my DMs and everything. Yeah, like all these people just popping up. Hey, Trinice. I'm like, I haven't talked to you in like 10 years. Like, where did you come from? I didn't even know you were still keeping up with me. You know, they're all in my stories. Now you can see seen, um, watching every story. So I'm like, wow, like it's it's amazing. Yeah, when you put yourself out there, how many people pay attention? So have I been seen? Absolutely judge. No. If I have been judged, it's quietly, but no one has said anything to me. Um, knock on wood, I haven't gotten any negative comment comments or anything like that, but absolutely seen it is something that I'm still um working through because I'm just like, I didn't expect all these different eyeballs on me. You know, when you go from maybe 30 people seeing your story to like 100 plus watching your story, it's like like okay, people are paying attention, you know, like okay, or you know, 200 or you know, and I even when I look at my views, 10,000 people have been on my page within the last month. Wow. And I'm used to what maybe 300 people on my page. So to go from 300 to 10,000 people in a month? Yeah, yeah. It's a lot, yeah. That's a lot, yeah. So it seems like it's silent, there's nothing going on, but there's a lot of stuff, there's a lot of eyeballs, there's a lot of seeing. Oh, but comments, no, I haven't gotten any comments.
SPEAKER_00Does being seen now make you feel uncomfortable? I know you said you're getting used to it, but have you kind of outgrown it yet? Like what how do you feel?
SPEAKER_01Um, I'm kind of in the in-between stage. I still kind of want to be like discreet, mysterious. I don't want people to know what I got going on, but then I kind of want to be out there too. So I'm like in between because I am a private person. And so I'm still trying to figure out how much do I share and what do I share? What's appropriate, what's not appropriate.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. You know, I can definitely kind of give my take on that. And I think you could do be both. You can be private and still be seen. I think one of the biggest things that I've learned, um, there's actually a creator I followed that kind of talked about this, I think maybe it probably was a year ago, but she says that she doesn't talk about anything she doesn't want commentary on. So if, for example, when it comes to like your relationship, right? You know, if you're posting about your relationship, people are going to have something to say about it, right? Yeah. Whether it's good or bad. If you decide to keep that part of your life private, no one has nothing to say about it. You know, if you're putting your family on your page, you're putting your relationship out there, you're putting other personal details, you are inviting commentary on those cop topics. So if there's something that you don't want people to comment on, don't post about it. Yeah. You know, don't talk about it. And you're owed that. You're that that's okay. I mean, I would say even on my personal socials, it's like, you know, I sprinkle little bits and pieces of my personal life. My sister might make an appearance here and there, you know, boyfriend might make an appearance here and there, my mom, you know, like they're sprinkled in, but it's not my entire identity of my platform, right? People know me for restaurants, foods, things to do, recs. It's not just all this personal information. So it's like if you can you can do both. You don't have to talk about everything if you don't want to. And that's okay.
SPEAKER_01And I think that's where I'm at too, though, because my page is still very much personal.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know, and it's like, I don't know if I want to, I don't, I don't know if I really want to consider it to be like public figure. I don't know if I really want to change it into that persona. Yeah. You know, I very much still want to keep it like personal, like my personal blog. This is Trees. I want my family on here, you know, like this is me.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Have you thought about creating a second page just for your for your business and just and for your just, I guess, I guess, public personality? I know when I started my Instagram account, I had a personal page where all my college friends, high school friends followed me. I still have that page. I'm just not active on it anymore. Um, but then I have, you know, obviously the public page, which is now a big page now. Yeah. Um, so you can create a new page and just have that as a public page to where people can get your public updates and you can keep your personal page private. You don't have to put that out to the world. It's just up to you. It's your comfort level. And I always tell creators that it's like up to your own personal comfort level, but people don't need to know everything about you if you don't want to, right? You you people only people only know what you share. Right. Exactly. So yeah.
SPEAKER_01I think I'm still in that gray space um because I don't like social media that much to have three pages. I'm like, I have a business page, and I'm not even active on that. Um, so I don't know. And that's that's where I'm at. Because I'm like, I'm still personal, not really sure if I even want to be uh like a true content creator. Love podcasting. Like this is my jam.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But doing it full time, you know, in terms of like being on social media, create pumping out videos. I don't I just don't see that. I see me just continuing to be an entrepreneur, you know, doing things back at the house like I've been doing and building that business and doing this, and you know, and that's fine. That's Trinice, yeah, and getting married and off on an island somewhere.
SPEAKER_00I mean, there's nothing wrong with that.
SPEAKER_01You know, I think that's fine.
SPEAKER_00You know, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I think it's maybe we're documenting that, you know. But I don't want to be a big public figure. I just don't see that. I mean, if God has that in the plan for me, but I don't, I just don't, I don't see that.
SPEAKER_00And I I like that you kind of brought that up because I feel like now a lot of people want to do social media, they want to, they want to be influencers. So it's interesting that you have a different, opposite take on that. Why, why is that? What's your is it just, you know, I mean, everybody's just like, you know, it's not for me.
SPEAKER_01Because my motivation, the reason why I'm doing all this is for freedom, time. I want to travel, I want to live a life. I'm not doing this to be seen, to be recognized, to be known. You know, I'm the podcasting is to make an impact. Hopefully, we are, I would love to change people's lives. That's why we're doing this, right? We're educating, we're um, you know, shining a light on Arizona and hopefully inspiring people to do this too. But I never sought out to be a celebrity or to be influential, you know, like purposely being influential. If I can be impactful and you're like, wow, Tranice, you inspired me. Wonderful, great, you know, but I want to be low-key. I want to be the south of France with my family. I love that, you know, making money. Oh, another check came in. Oh, great. You know, like I want to be so far removed. I don't want to have to keep up if I don't have to, you know, but the money is still rolling in. And we've been on vacation for a month. I love that. That's the dream for Ternice. That's why I'm doing all this. I'm not doing this for the likes, the, you know, to be this big old, you know, content creator. That's never been my dream.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. No, I I like that. I mean, honestly, I think everybody's goal is to just be like off the grid with money and be traveling the whole world. I mean, that would be ideal for me as well. I mean, I but I do love do content creation and editing. I, you know, I got into it before this was what it is today. You know, it's it's it's came a long way, which is awesome. Um, but yeah, you know, I think it's a hamster wheel. You're kind of chasing, chasing the likes, shaking, chasing the next trend.
SPEAKER_01And I think that's what it is too. I don't want to feel like I have to be validated. I think that is what it really is. It's the validation piece of it. I never ever want to be in a situation where I feel like I have to be um put on display and judged and validated for the rest of my life. Like, yeah, I don't, that's not me. That's why I think I'm like, I like to be in the background because if I get one like, cool. Like, um, but I don't I don't have to depend on that because it does play away on your self-esteem. You do feel some type of way, even a celebrity say it. You know, I was just watching, I had just saw this clip on um this reel, one of the girls from the sisters show. You know, she was saying she just had a baby. She got married like I think last year, and she was saying the comments get to her. You know, she's like 100 pounds now. She just had a baby, she's like a hundred pounds, stick skinny, and she's like, the comments get to me. You know, I'm thinking I can just share my life with people, and people will be, you know, receptive and it's it's starting to eat at her. And that's something like I don't want to be in that situation. I'm already a sensitive person, you know. I just I don't want to do that. And so I think that's what's making me be like, no, I just want to be in the background. Because I don't, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I feel that. Yeah. It it can it can really emotionally take a toll on you. And I think that's for me. That's why I've really wanted to take the time to kind of let go, you know, and I think that's kind of part of my whole becoming season because, you know, putting your livelihood on likes in the validation, and it's a it is a high. Once you go viral, people say it's a it's a high and you want to chase that. And sometimes it's hard to continue to replicate that. And I think that's why we're seeing a lot of creators, you know, come online, whatever. At least I've been seeing on my for you page talking about how depressed they are, how they're broke now, how they're all these things are happening because it's an emotional toll. Because one day you're popping and you're a viral sensation and things are rolling in, and then the next moment it's crickets, crickets, and it's on to the next person that went viral, right? And it's as somebody else.
SPEAKER_01Nobody's checking for you. Yeah, the opportunities are not coming in anymore. Yeah, because you're like, what's wrong with me? Why don't they want me anymore? I don't want to be on that emotional roller coaster.
SPEAKER_00And then you see people getting desperate for likes and views, and so they're doing anything for attention, they're lying, they're doing all these this crazy stuff to go viral, you know, to keep up. And you know, that's a kind of a slip slip, slippery slope as well. Yeah, um, when it comes to all of that. Um, have you ever held yourself back from showing up, you know, in in this season, you know, that you're in?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I have. Um, because I've been healing, you know, like I've talked about with everybody with the heartbreak. I have held myself back. Um and I haven't like I've set goals and things for my business, but I haven't been as um, I haven't set as many goals this year. I kind of just let myself just kind of be, whatever happens, happens. Kind of go going more with the flow in the first quarter. Um, just because I was like, I'm not in really in a space to just be, you know, pumping out all these things, trying to hit all these different metrics. Like I'm just gonna allow myself to just be in the season so that I can properly heal and be ready for you know, quarter two, quarter three, quarter four. So yeah, absolutely. Um how about yourself?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I I would say a little bit. I think for me, uh I've been also kind of just taking everything day by day um and just showing up to stuff that I feel like is valuable and important to, you know, my family and or even just my career. So, you know, I think I've also been selectively showing up to um to certain you know things and opportunities. Um, you know, because I just definitely wanted to take a little bit of Q1 and I wanted to take a little bit of time to just be like, okay, let's take a break. I mean, the first couple of weeks of January, I didn't really film or do anything. Um, I just kind of chilled out. Like I was like, let me take a little bit of a break. Yeah. Um, so I did that. And and so I've just been very selective on on how I'm showing up. Um, you know, just because I just didn't want to get to a point where I just felt extremely burnt out. Burnt out. Yeah. Yeah. So that's how I've been feeling. Yeah. For sure.
SPEAKER_01And I felt really burnt out too. I'm actually getting into rebalancing um this weekend. I'm working with this spiritual coach because I'm just like, I need to be balanced.
SPEAKER_00Are you doing are you doing like Reiki?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm doing a little bit of a combination of everything, really. Some sound healing um to kind of balance out my chakras and stuff. Yeah. I've just felt yeah, just so like burnt out, just emotionally drained. She's like, girl, you need to be balanced out. Like, yeah, I think so too.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I need to maybe need just a little mini like vacation. You need a vacation. Yeah, I do, even just like a trip to Sedona, a little mini road trip, or just like something here. I know. I'm a workaholic.
SPEAKER_01I feel like I just have to come to terms with that girl.
SPEAKER_00It's hard.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you know, yeah.
SPEAKER_01So it's always something.
SPEAKER_00It's always always something.
SPEAKER_01It is. Um, have you had like any fears that have come up recently?
SPEAKER_00Um I think for myself, I think there is, you know, a fear, there is another like layer of a fear of being seen, right? Um, you know, I the initial fear of being seen, you know, I was gonna say, like, kind of walk us through that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like because you're at the other, you're up here. I'm like, what does this level look like?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you know, um, I feel like there's layers to a fear of being seen. I think there comes a point where, you know, especially in the social media world where, you know, you can get a little traction, you're building a community and things are going good. And it's like that initial, like, okay, I'm gonna post, I'm gonna put myself out there. And then there kind of there comes like this crossroad, especially for myself, about like what is that next, if I wanted to continue to grow this, what is that next layer of the fear of being seen is. And I think it is being a little bit more open with your audience. And I think me trying to figure out how to be open in a way that I feel comfortable with is hard. Um, I know when I first kind of really started doing a lot of the local stuff, I did talk about like my dating experiences and just like me going out and partying until 2 a.m. And you know, I would go on my stories and do these little crazy like recaps of like all the things I did and all the clubs I went to in old town that night and you know, just do like fun stuff like that, um, which is great. And I feel like a lot of people related to that. Um, now in this season, and you know, seeing how I and I and I and again again, I need to get out of that that that belief system with this, but I see a lot of creators getting bashed about their relationships or their friendships or this drama or they said the wrong thing and it got out of put out of context, and then it's canceled and they get canceled. And so I get so scared about maybe saying the wrong things or exposing too much of my personal life when it comes to like my friendships or my family or whatever else. And I think to me that can be a little can be a little scary. Um so I think again, but that's what builds that further connection with your audience, you know. Um, you can go from getting, you know, for example, me getting two million views on my Instagram a month to probably quadrupling or tripling that if I was more open, you know. So it's like you have to expose a little bit more about yourself and it's uncomfortable. And so I think I'm dealing with that a little bit, figuring out the balance. And but I also feel like the podcast to me has been helpful, built, you know, finding that balance. You know, maybe it's not appropriate for my platforms. Maybe this is the way I can be a little bit more connected and open and it doesn't have to be on there. So um, yeah, I'm I'm figuring out. I think that's a good take. Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_01That's what I'm thinking too, like for my platform. Cause I'm like, it's more family, it's more of like, you know, personal. And I'm like, the podcast allows me to kind of express myself. And it's like if you catch it, if you catch it, you catch it on a podcast, you know, like you can see the real Trinise over here. And then you know, my page is kind of like, you know, what you guys are used to. So yeah, but that's that's interesting. And I think that's that's where I'm at too. I'm like, yeah, I don't know if I could expose myself and just share everything, like even with this heartbreak, I just would never be the person that would just give all the details and like it's it's very personal, you know. I would never yeah, go too deep into it because I'm just not.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, what's crazy is on uh kind of piggyback, piggybacking off of this. Um, I was on TikTok the other day. You know, got on my for you page. There's this guy who was talking about he went on a date with this girl who's an influencer. And ironically, um, during the date, she went to the bathroom and you know, whatever. He pulls out his phone and he scrolls. She does a get ready with me. Her video pops up on his for you page. And yeah, she's like, Oh, I'm going to go see this guy. He seems awesome, and just kind of laying out the foundation. And so he was like, Oh my gosh, you know, she comes back from the bathroom and he's like, you know, I'm just, you know, whatever. He knew she was an influencer. He's like, you know, I'm just not gonna think too much of it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And um, you know, the day goes well, they hang out, they do all these things. He comes back home. She does, she uploads another video talking about, I love this guy, this is great, all these things. And I can't remember what happened after it. Like, it's like a little bit blurry. But what had happened was apparently they had there was some type of miscommunication that happened between the two. She gets upset, goes on the rant, starts like, goes on back onto TikTok saying all these things about this guy, saying he did this, he did that. And it was like a lot of it was lies. And she, and she um lies. She said his first and last name in the video. And he's like, he ends up blocking her after he like messaged her and be like, Hey, you know, you why did you put my first and last name out there? He's like, I understand you're an influencer, and you know, you gotta do what you gotta do, whatever. But like to put my first and last name out there and you're doing all this, and like that's crazy.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that is crazy.
SPEAKER_00So it's it's funny how like stuff like that could, and he liked her too. He's like, I liked her until she just exposed all my business out there. So it's kind of funny how people will take you know personal details and they'll make content on them. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So it's and I always I'm all I'm a big person, I'm all about integrity. I would never do that. I would never, and I want to put this on the record. I would never expose anybody, I would never give out any names or like go too deep into contacts on anything. I don't care if we've never, I mean, we don't talk again. That's just not who Trunice is. I just I don't think you you should ever do that. Yeah, you know, and even just like, and that's another thing too. Like, okay, you go on a date with somebody, you don't need to be giving out all these details and you know, going to social media and telling everybody all of your business. It's like some things need to kind of be kept to yourself.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was kind of so everybody's different, yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So let's kind of move into like glow up in this season. Um, what are some things that you're working on to like glow up or you know, are there any changes that you've made?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So for myself, yeah. I would say um, in terms of like, you know, continuing my, you know, my health and fitness journey, um, you know, still pretty consistent with that, which has been great. Um, you know, being mindful with, you know, my my food collabs and eating out, you know, still trying to find the balance. Um, but I think my glow up mostly has been mindset glow up. I think, you know, yes, like, you know, we were talking about physicals, great, but if you're not working on the internal, it's just you can you'll you'll still spiral. Yeah. So I think for my my my glow up has been more about my mindset. How can I see the positives and things? How can I see the good in things? Um, I think when you see that, you're just you you just feel better and you're better, you're in better spirits, you feel more motivated, you feel ready to take on the day versus like getting up and be like, oh, here we go. Here we go again, like you know. Yeah. Um, so I I think that's been really where I've been the most intentional about is just just shifting what's been going on in my head and letting go, not letting views, not letting things like define me, even with loss, you know, just being like, you know, this is life, things happen, and let's see the positives in it, you know. My grandpa lived a long life, he lived till 99, you know. Oh, for your grandparents. Yeah, my grandma lived till 94. You know, looking at the positives, and I think that's been really what's been helpful for me. What about you?
SPEAKER_01I would say the same too. Yeah, mindset. Um, let me see what else with the glow up. Some of it's for me, I think it's been physical. I think I'm yeah, I would say I'm more in my physical season.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I would say more of that because I've been working on myself internally. Um, I'm always working on myself. I will say I'm a Scorpio horizon. I don't know if you get into like the biggest, yeah. Yeah. So with Scorpios, you're always um, it's the the death and rebirth. So you're always transforming. And for the longest, I could never understand why I'm always changing. It's like every year I'm changing, changing, changing. And when I start to do more research on the rising signs, excuse me, I was sick this week. Um, when I start to do more research on rising signs, I was like, oh, this makes sense. By me being a Scorpio Ryzen, I'm constantly changing. I'm I'm like a chameleon, you know. And so when it comes to mindset, I think that's why I'm so progressive and that's why I'm so optimistic. And that's why like I'm always light years ahead because I'm constantly changing, you know, with the times and stuff. So going back to that, it's more of a physical for me, because I've looked in the mirror and I'm like, I know what I could look like, I know who I am, you know, and I know what Tranice has always been. And until I reach that goal, we're gonna keep working on herself. Okay. So that that's that's where I'm at, you know. And there's nothing wrong with that, you know, it's not being in vain. I think that in order for you to live your best life, you have to feel good on the inside and the outside.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know, like you get paid more money when you look good, when you're in shape. People treat you better when you're in shape, when you do your makeup, when you get your hair done, when you get your nails done. Like that is just a fact. I think I saw something where it's like um women make 20% more for wearing makeup, you know, when you're when you wear makeup versus when you don't. So it's it's it's true, it's real, and you know.
SPEAKER_00And that's not really a bad thing. You know, I think again, you're we're changing the mindset of like, you know, when you when you look good and you're taking care of yourself, it's a sign of self-love and discipline, right? Self-respect. We're self-respect when you look, you know, and it you don't have to spend tons of money on getting your nails done and doing all these things, but just upkeeping yourself, upkeeping your body. And that doesn't necessarily mean you need to be stick thin and skinny, but it's just like putting in that love into your into yourself is important because you know, we only got one life, we only got one body, and you might as well take care of it, you know, feel it well, you know, um, do the things to, you know, to look your best. Because yeah, you know, when people, when you go to an interview or you, you know, people are wanting to hire you, they want to know that you're you're well kept and put together, you know. I mean, that's kind of the reality, and that's not a bad thing. Yeah, um, it's a form of discipline. Like when I see someone who's in shape, I'm like, dang, they they're disciplined, you know. You like their ab six pack abs. Like, I I know they worked hard for that. That didn't come easy, right? And so there's a level of respect people see when they see someone who is in shape and they look good.
SPEAKER_01Um, yeah, that's absolutely yeah. I feel that same way too. Um, is there anything that you're letting go in this season? Um, I think I know in the beginning, oh, I do want to ask this. Yes. I know in the beginning of the year, you said you were letting go of marijuana. Yeah, marijuana.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, you know, we yeah, we did talk about that. We talked about my my my my cannabis use.
SPEAKER_01Um that's the word I was looking for cannabis.
SPEAKER_00You know, um it's a work in progress. But, you know, I'm actively working on, you know, the cutback right and being intentional with the use. I think for me personally, it's something that I don't foresee myself doing long term. Um and, you know, when things happened earlier in the year, I was like, dang, I think I might need a gummy tonight. This is life is lifing. Life's been rough. Um but yeah, I, you know, I still stand by what I said. I think, you know, heavy cannabis use is just not good for you, your mental health, and your brain, like the point blank period. So I mean, that's the truth. Um, and I think when you use it a lot, like it's gonna affect you down the line. So that's kind of that's that's my standpoint on it. And I stand by that still. Yeah. But you know, I am cutting back because it's it's not good.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I've cut down on a wine as wine as well. I still drink, but yeah, not as much. Not only drink on the weekends, it's really like a Friday night, Saturday. That's it. Sundays, I don't drink.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, I I successfully did dry January and even in February and March, like, you know, I have I have drank, you know, done a lot of food hostings and gone to events, but it's only when I'm at those things, honestly. I'm not at home, hey, like let me have a glass of wine and watch a movie. I'm like, I'm not, I'm never like that. It's only when I'm out doing my thing, and even that, like I've significantly, you know, cut back on, you know, for sure. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01What does your future self look like daily if you were to think of your future?
SPEAKER_00I mean, she's disciplined, she's out of bed, she's not scrolling. I actually today, oh not today, uh two days ago, I ordered this thing called Bricks. It's a phone, it's like a little device that you like tap on your phone and basically it locks blocks you out of all apps. I tried, I tried these a few of these apps on my iPhone. They did not work. I was bypassing them all the time. I'm like, I need to get something physical, and it's supposed to be really good. It just you have to literally be by it, tap it, okay, and then it will unlock your phone from like Instagram, TikTok, and all these apps. So for me, like I'm trying to get away being on my phone and scrolling. My screen time is like ridiculous. It's like over, that's probably on average, like 12 hours a day. You know, I'm answering emails on my phone, I'm doing voice messages, I'm editing, I'm doing whatever, you know. So I'm trying to kind of get that down. So I'm hoping that helps me because my future self isn't scrolling. Right. Like she's actually getting work done. Um she has a solid morning routine, she has hobbies that she loves that kind of get her away from her day-to-day. You know, I I love doing social media. That was originally a hobby for me. Now that it's a job, I've realized I do need to break away from that a little bit. I need time to stimulate my mind doing something else. You know, I need to get to learning. And so for me, that's what my future self looks like. Um, how about you?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I would say for me, it's just um continuing on with my morning routine, um, staying active, working out, eating healthy, um just continuing to work on myself inside and out. Um, yeah, really, I think hunkering down on the hobbies. I've realized that I love music. I'm just like in love with music, dance, art. Like I'm so creative. And I think I'm in this new season of I just want to create. Yeah. I just want to create. I just want to have fun. I just want joy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And I yeah, that's what it is. So, what does my future self look like? Happiness, joy. Let the sadness go. Not a sad girl. We're a happy girl.
unknownYeah. I love it.
SPEAKER_01And so that's where I'm at. It's like, yeah, you're an entrepreneur, yeah, you have all these things going on, but don't let it suck the soul out of you. You know, there has to be balance. We have to find time for ourselves, you know, and that's where I go back to that schedule. When you're on a schedule, and you know, I've started working on the weekends. I was not working on the weekends before, but I have I have to with this podcast and everything that I'm doing. I'm like, I have to get stuff done. But um, just even learning that some balance. It's like, okay, maybe only just one or two hours or a couple hours, and then put the laptop down, and now you can go on a hike or whatever, you know. But just learning how to have fun, enjoy. So that's what my future self looks like is balance.
SPEAKER_00I like that. And um, I remember Petra saying something on um her episode when we had her on how you know, it's sometimes your schedule changes and it's like, you know, balance looks different daily. And so um it's not always gonna be the same. And it's you know, it's about just scheduling that time for yourself, you know, even if you do have to work the weekends, which you know, when you're an entrepreneur or you're building something, um, you're trying to get it to a phase where it's growing, it's like sometimes you have to sack trade, trade that time that you would have been watching reality TV or out with your friends to trade that time into your business a little bit. And I mean, that's that's kind of the grind for a little bit. But um, you know, I I really like that you said that. And then focusing on the joy, because I know we have to wrap up here soon. Yeah. Um, how do you create joy in your daily life? Because you said joy is so important to you, and it's about, you know, just I guess just being it, being in that happiness, finding that happiness. So how do you create it? Create it by being in your purpose.
SPEAKER_01I think this podcast is a part of my purpose, is really bringing happiness to me because I'm able to express myself. I'm not really able to express myself, you know, when I'm working with my clients, I'm behind the scenes. Most of the time I'm not talking to anyone unless, you know, I have client meetings, which I light up in. I'm I'm always happy, you know. Yeah, let's strategize, let's, you know, talk and stuff. Um, but what I'm realizing is I feel like I'm creating with this podcast. Like this could go any which way where, you know, we're able to talk, express, and it's just bringing out a different side of Trinice. And so I think when you're really in alignment with your passion, with your goals, you're doing things that you enjoy and that you love. Naturally, that joy is gonna come out. How about you?
SPEAKER_00I like that too. And um yeah, I think it is, you know, you find joy within purpose. I think really honestly, that's where that's where the happiness happiness comes from is being in your purpose. And finding that purpose takes the deep work, it takes self-reflection. I think, you know, when you're distracting yourself, whether that's a man, with a man, with social media, with partying every weekend, you're you're pulling away from yourself. And if you feel lost in this season of your life and you're trying to figure out what's next, look within what does your soul want? Because sometimes when we silence all that and put the phone down and kind of reflect, a lot of that will come back. And so I think it's really important, you know, for you know, for you guys out there who are struggling is to sit with yourself, find that time to grieve, you know, think, meditate, just relax and go dig deep into what to what your purpose is and you know where you know where you want to be. Um, and I think you'll find that, right? And try new things, you know. You know, you'll be open, be open, right? You know, when you try new things, you put yourself out there, you might find something that you're like, wow, I didn't know I was gonna like painting. Try a paint and sip class, like do something fun, you know, and you never know what things may kind of come out of, you know, trying new things.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I I love that 100%. So now we're gonna close with our affirmation. I am allowed to evolve. I am allowed to outgrow. I am allowed to become the version of me I've always been dreaming of. That is so fitting for this episode.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, that was so good. And um, if you like this episode, make sure to um share with someone who may be needing it. Um, you know, I think that, you know, spring is a great time to reflect on the first part of the year and, you know, kind of see where we can all kind of grow and self-improve. And you guys can find our podcast on um Spotify and all the other streaming platforms. And make sure to like, subscribe, and share this. And um, we'll see you guys in the next episode.
