SPEAKER_00:

Thank you very much. Hey there, welcome to the very first episode of the Mile Marker Matriarch Podcast. I'm Stacey Cacciatore, and I have no idea what I'm doing. I've been wanting to start this podcast for months, and I have tried scripting it and making everything perfect, but I'm going to tell you, it's not perfect. I decided that none of that is working, so I am just going to be talking with you off the cuff, no script, just you and I. having a conversation about running. Of all the running podcasts out there, why would you choose to listen to this one? And who's this one for? Mile Marker Patriarch is a running podcast that empowers women, both trans and cis, and women-aligned people with knowledge to improve their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual lives through running. Whether you love to run, whether you hate to run, but you want to get into it, no matter what stage you are as you're running, I can help you out. So why listen to me for running advice? I've asked myself that same question I mean, is it because I have the word run tattooed across my chest? No, that makes me crazy, but not an expert. More on that later. Is it because I've run over a hundred road races across America? Not the fact that I've run them, but I have made about every mistake you can possibly make. What I hope to do is to be able to share those lessons learned with you so you don't make the same mistakes. I wrote my doctoral dissertation on the lived embodied experience of women runners. That research allows me to bring a research-based approach to this podcast, where I'm gonna be bringing you advice and insights and studies from experts on how running can benefit your mind, body, and soul. I'm gonna partner research with the everyday lived experience to help bring you real-life tips and advice. If any of that resonates with you, please click subscribe and follow me. You can follow me on Instagram at milemarkermatriarch. You can follow me on Twitter at milemarkermatriarchm. And I'll see you next time. I look forward to chatting with you soon.
