Spending time in God’s Word is essential for spiritual growth, yet many people struggle with where to start. Some feel intimidated by the Bible’s depth, while others become discouraged or overwhelmed by life’s challenges. If you’ve ever felt that way, this devotional is for you.
"Faith for Every Day" is designed as a simple yet powerful guide to help you engage with Scripture daily. You don’t have to start on January 1st—this podcast is meant to be picked up at any time of the year. Each daily devotion stands on its own, addressing real-life struggles while pointing you back to God’s truth.

What changes when Jesus calls you friend? We explore that bold invitation from John 15:15 and share a clear path to move beyond religious autopilot into a living, daily friendship with Christ. From the first minute, we frame friendship as access to Jesus’ heart—He shares what He hears from the Father—and as a relationship that reshapes how we pray, decide, and love. If you have ever felt stuck in routine, this conversation offers a simple plan to reconnect with purpose and peace.
We walk through three anchors: knowing His heart, abiding in Him, and obeying from love. Knowing His heart means meeting a Person in Scripture, not just collecting verses. Abiding becomes practical through unhurried prayer, worship that reorders desire, and small daily rhythms that keep us close when life gets loud. Obedience, grounded in John 14:15, is presented not as pressure but as trust in action—the natural response to a Savior who already gave everything for us. Along the way, we share honest practices: journaling to track God’s guidance, setting focused time with fewer distractions, and choosing one concrete step each day to draw near.
By the end, you will have a gentle but specific rule of life: reflect on where your attention goes, pray with candor and gratitude, and commit a single next step—read a chapter, sit in five minutes of stillness, reconcile with someone, or share your faith with a friend. Expect clarity to grow and joy to take root as you walk with the One who sticks closer than a brother. If this encouraged you, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs hope, and leave a review so others can find these conversations.
From Servants To Friends
SPEAKER_00Developing a personal relationship with Christ. Henceforth, I call you not servants, for the servant knoweth not what his Lord doeth. But I call you friends, for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Welcome to day 58 of Faith for Everyday on Kamjoy Revival Radio. Today we focus on the heart of our Christian walk, developing a personal relationship with Christ. In John chapter 15, verse 15, Jesus shares an extraordinary truth. He says, Henceforth I call you not servants, for the servant knoweth not what his Lord doeth. But I call you friends, for all things that I have heard of the Father I have made known unto you. These words revealed the depth of intimacy Jesus desires with us. We are not just followers, we are his friends. Let us explore what it means to have a personal relationship with Christ. 1. Friendship with Christ. Being called a friend by Jesus is a privilege. A friend shares secrets, offers comfort, and provides guidance. Jesus desires that kind of closeness with us. Proverbs chapter 18 verse 24 reminds us there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. 2 Knowing His heart. This is not about religious rituals, but a relationship where we grow in understanding his love, mercy and purpose. Philippians chapter 3 verse 10 expresses Paul's desire to know him and the power of his resurrection. And 3 abiding in him. Friendship with Jesus requires abiding in him. In John chapter 15, verse 4 he says, Abide in me and I in you. This means staying connected to Him through prayer, worship and obedience. Think about it. The relationship in your life, the strongest ones are built on time, trust and communication. The same applies to your relationship with Christ. He invites us to spend time with him. Just as you invest in human friendships, spend time daily with Jesus in prayer and reading his word. Share your heart. Be honest with him about your joys, struggles and desires. He cares deeply for you. Listen to his voice. Take time to be still and listen to his guidance through Scripture and the Holy Spirit. Jesus desires to walk through every moment of life with us, offering his wisdom, peace, and love. We also grow closer to Christ by obeying his commands. He says in John chapter 14, verse 15, If ye love me, keep my commandments. Our obedience is a reflection of our love for him and strengthens our bond with him. Today, let us reflect on how we can deepen our relationship with Christ. Ask yourself, how much time do I spend nurturing my friendship with Jesus? Pray. Ask Jesus to help you draw closer to Him and thank Him for calling you His friend. Commit. Take one step today to strengthen your relationship with Him, whether it is through reading a chapter of the Bible, spending time in prayer, or sharing your faith with someone else. As you meditate on John chapter 15, verse 15, remember that Jesus values so much that he called you his friend. What an incredible honor and invitation. Walk with him today and experience the joy and peace of knowing him personally. Thank you very much for joining us today on day 58 of Faith for Every Day. May your relationship with Christ grow deeper and sweeter each day. Until next time, stay blessed and keep abiding in Him. Thank you very much for listening.
