Romans 5 discusses in great detail the problem of sin that exists in our broken world. And if we aren't careful, we can (and often even the Church itself will) view these portions of scripture as being focused on and preoccupied with sin itself, rather than the freedom that Christ bought for us through His finished work on the cross. But according to the gospel, sin is small, and God is big! And in our lives, the problem of sin should be small in comparison to the answer that is Jesus.
What we see in scripture is that if we are going to walk in the freedom from sin that Jesus has brought about through his work on the cross, then we have to a perspective that is bigger than sin itself. But how do we gain (and maintain) that perspective? Join us as Pastor John explores this question as outlined in Romans 6.
