The cage looks different when the lights hit a new stage. With the Paramount Plus era finally here, we dig into what cheaper access, cleaner apps, and multicam experimentation could mean for fight nights: ref cam replays, POV angles, and a smoother way for casual fans to become diehards. Then the news hits—Kayla Harrison vs. Amanda Nunes is postponed with serious neck issues, and an entire division’s timeline wobbles. We map the fallout, spotlight the new co-main with Sean O’Malley vs. Song Yadong, and scan a UFC 324 lineup still packed with knockout threats and technical puzzles.

We jump across the globe to UFC 325 in Sydney, where Alexander Volkanovski vs. Diego Lopes promises pace and risk. Around them, Rafael Fiziev’s thudding kicks, Dan Hooker’s grit against Benoit Saint-Denis, and Tai Tuivasa’s high-wire return create the kind of card that hooks new subscribers and rewards the faithful. Along the way, we ask a harder question: is the sport consciously tilting toward striker-friendly matchmaking to excite a growing audience? Recent judging trends seem to value initiative and damage over inert control, a shift that could reshape game plans and title paths.

To cool the takes and keep the laughs, we serve five petty revenge gems: a parking-lot masterclass in karma, a locker-room glue sting for gym hogs, a boss slowed by a daily printer gauntlet, muddy justice for a careless dog owner, and a tarot gift basket engineered to rattle a self-righteous coworker. Small moves, perfect timing, outsized satisfaction—just like a clean counter in the pocket. If you love MMA, production nerdery, and cathartic storytelling, you’ll feel right at home here.

If this hit the spot, follow the show, share it with a fight friend, and drop a review with your boldest UFC 324–325 prediction. Your take might make the next episode.

Paramount Plus Era Kicks Off

SPEAKER_01

Welcome everyone to another exciting episode of Peak Points. And I'm excited about this episode mainly because of the start of a new era with the Paramount Plus era for UFC fans. It's a great time. Oh my god, so exciting. We're gonna talk about UFC 324, UFC 325, and to the listener, I'm talking directly to you now. If you've ever been wronged and have dreamed of getting back at that person, this episode's for you. Because we've got some petty revenge stories, and uh I think we've got some crazy ones.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Not too crazy, because it is just petty revenge, not nuclear, but uh entertaining all the same.

UFC 324 Card Shakeups And Hype

SPEAKER_01

First, let's get into the octagon Harley. Let's talk about UFC 324, the fight that's coming up right now, and the start of the Paramount Plus era, the start of UFC on another streaming platform. Yeah. And uh they started off with an amazing card. However, some crazy news just came up about that card, and and we'll feel like it's a good idea. Uh we still have Justin Gagey versus Patty Pimlett as the main event. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

However, the comain, Kayla Harrison versus Amanda Nunez, has been postponed until future re I don't know, when Yeah, there's been no talk that I've come across saying when it's postponed till because recovery time is still kind of up in the air.

SPEAKER_01

Up in the air, Kayla Harrison seems to have an injured neck. Uh if I'm not mistaken, a couple vertebrae in her neck, right? Uh a couple her, I believe three herniated discs. Wow, that's insane. Uh you know, we hope that Kayla heals promptly, of course, and we hope that all goes well, and uh nothing bigger comes of it than the a speedy recovery is what we really hope for.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely. The it's just crazy because the recovery time for any kind of surgery injury with to do with the spine Insane. It has to be very stringent, you know. You you can't you can't just push through it. You you will almost certainly give yourself long-term damage if you try to push through it, especially in a sport like this. Yeah. Particularly when you are a fighter like Carla Harrison, who is primarily a wrestler, and so much, so much of wrestling ha hinges around your shoulders and neck, and the tensions and uh um biomechanical advantage that you can use aro surrounding your neck, which is probably why she has three herniated discs. That's insane, yes. Hopefully the surgery is incredibly successful and recovery time is short, but I, as an uneducated person, as far as medical goes, I can't see it happening soon at the very soonest would probably be nine months. And even that I think is wildly optimistic.

SPEAKER_01

Right. And I know that Kayla is a superhuman person, however, I I do think that she needs to take the time to recover from this. I think she will. And I think she will. And uh especially for the opponent, the caliber of opponent that she was gonna go against. Yeah. A go in in their respective sport. I think Yeah, this is just very, very unfortunate. Uh very unfortunate for Kayla, very unfortunate for Amanda, very unfortunate for not just the UFC, but for MMA as a whole. MMA fans uh uh you know uh are have been clamoring for this fight for a very, very long time. Absolutely.

Division Impact Of Harrison Injury

SPEAKER_00

And it's just unfortunate timing. It is. It's uh gonna be interesting to see what the division how the division's gonna shake out around this situation because provided that this fight really is going to continue to be uh rescheduled, then that means pretty much at the soonest the next time somebody can actually compete for the belt is gonna be about a year and a half probably. Which puts a pretty big damper on that whole weight division.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, uh I I sincerely agree. And uh yeah, let's just see where the chips lie after this. Uh making Sean O'Malley the co main event now.

SPEAKER_00

I'm sure he's happy about not at her expense.

SPEAKER_01

Right, but I'm excited to see that.

SPEAKER_00

But happy to hap happy to have that position.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. Uh still against Song Yeedong, still a very exciting fight, and a lot of Sean O'Malley fans are very happy right now. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Uh and after that we had that heavyweight fight, Waldo Cortez Acosta and Derek Lewis. Let's see who gets slept in that one. Still a very exciting card.

SPEAKER_00

Somebody's almost certain to get knocked out in that one.

SPEAKER_01

It seems very likely. Natalia Silva, Rosenama Yunis still on there, Arnold Allen, Gene Silva still on there. Uh all in all, a very exciting main card still. And and hey, still in the prelims, Umar and Margamadoff versus Davison Fiduerno. Ataba Gautier, uh Puliev still.

SPEAKER_00

Still seems wild that both of those Umar and Gautier are in prelim, but prelim. Yeah, it's crazy. Hey, they want to start the year off with a bang on Paramount. I understand it.

SPEAKER_01

I I definitely understand it. Nikita Krylov, Modestas Bukoskis, another very exciting fight. And uh, you know, e even the prelims have some very exciting the early prelims have some very exciting names on there. Josh Hokett, uh, who's trying to make his uh rise, and Michael Johnson, who's been in the game for a while versus Alex Hernandez, a very exciting fighter, so very exciting card. Uh I I don't want to put a damper on this card because of the fight that uh has been postponed with Kayla and Amanda, but very exciting card, and uh they they're really starting off the year with a bang in this one.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

New Co-Main And Heavy Hitters

SPEAKER_01

And we'll move on to UFC 325, also you know, really starting off the year strong because this is back to back and uh back to back numbered events is is very exciting. Yeah. Uh this one's gonna take place Saturday January 31st in Sydney, Australia. Alex Volkonowski defending his belt against Diego Lopez again.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's gonna be hopefully it's gonna be a real exciting fight.

SPEAKER_01

I I definitely think so. The first one was pretty exciting, so this one's gonna have the same. They're both on the same uh on on very good trajectories right now. Yeah, yeah. Uh we already spoke about in the in our previous uh, you know, when we previously talked about UC 325 was how unfortunate, you know, Lerone Murphy and and Evolev didn't get the chance for a title. Yeah. It's looking more and more like they may fight each other. We'll see. That would be a very exciting fight.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that would be a good fight to see for sure. To see you know, which which one of them, I guess you could say uh uh deserves it more.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Even though it kind of seems like their previous fights were contender fights and stuff like that, but who knows? Uh Dan Hooker on this card versus Benoit Saint-Denis, I think that's gonna be very exciting. Uh unless uh BSD does the same thing Armin did to Dan Hooker and does it uses the same game plan, you know?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Faziv is on that card versus Marissa Roofy, still very oh my god, that's that's gonna be very crazy to see. You got Raphael Faziv's uh nasty hard kicks against another guy who uses very exciting kicks, uh Maurice Rufi, who has been training with Alexander Volkonowski, commenting he's still in the fighting nerds camp, but he's also doing training other places, so this is this is kind of cool.

SPEAKER_00

That's gonna be interesting to see how that shakes out long term.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, see how that works out, but uh yeah, very exciting, dude. Uh tied to Iwasa making his comeback. Um, and I know we've we said this before, unfortunate opponent to come back to. Titus and Tiggera is a very tall, very big, scary guy. And um, so that that should be very exciting. Uh Sal Kid vs. Wrong Zhu. Uh Sal Kid, uh he got that nasty head kick knockout recently, contender for uh knockout of the year, and uh very, very, very exciting. Uh he's on the main card already, so that's that's kind of cool.

SPEAKER_00

That's promising for him.

SPEAKER_01

That's promising for him for sure. Uh prelims, junior toffa, Billy uh Elecana. So that that's a good one too to see on the prelims. Junior Toffa, however, has hasn't had the best couple fights lately. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I'll be honest, I can't remember the last fight.

SPEAKER_01

There's two toffas, uh him and his brother.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. That might be why.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's kind of hard to keep track of them. Especially because they both keep losing.

SPEAKER_00

That's not promising.

UFC 325 Preview In Sydney

SPEAKER_01

Uh anyway, Cam Rostin, Cody Brundage, also very exciting. And uh Torrance Finney and and Malcone in that one. So the prelims look good on that one as well. I think these two cards to start the year off are very, very exciting, and uh I can't wait to see what's coming in in the rest of the year.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah. One thing I wanted to interject, I can't seem to find it, but I came across a post that was talking about how we might be able to see the fight with this new Paramount deal. We might be able to see the fight from multiple angles, like the choose your camera angle.

SPEAKER_01

Multicam thing I did see of the case.

SPEAKER_00

I I don't really know what exactly that entails, but it sounds exciting.

SPEAKER_01

It sounds exciting if that is the case. I know they are experimenting with some other cameras. I know that they are trying to get different sorts of views around in or around the cage. I mean, we've seen it even recently with the whole ref cam. Yeah, the ref body cam. Ref body cam that they have. Uh I'm what I'm hoping is that they try to implement the lens cameras that are on the glasses, so obviously it's an obstruction on the ref's case.

SPEAKER_00

Not exactly ideal.

SPEAKER_01

Uh they have used it on the PFL prior, and I like the view that they have on it. It's a very intriguing view, like you know, point of view that you can see.

SPEAKER_00

You see exactly what the ref is seeing as to why they're making the calls they're making.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, it's very exciting if that is the case that there is a multicam system that they're gonna implement. So that's kind of cool if that's the case.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, especially if there's re like you can re-watch to be able to watch re-watch the same fight from different angles. That that could be really really awesome.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I I definitely think they should pursue that. And uh, I mean put some money into it for sure. I think Paramount is really up for putting money into the production. They um seem eager uh in this new partnership.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely. They they're going whole hog, if you will, into this. They're not they're not just dipping their toes in, they're they're just as excited as the fans are, honestly. They might even be more excited. Yeah. Of course, they're they would be a little more excited because they're seeing all the money rolling in. But on the fan side, we're seeing a lot less money flowing out, even with the new price increase of Paramount Plus, which pretty much everyone should have already known that was coming. Yeah. I was fully expecting, and honestly, it's less than I was expecting. Yeah, way more than I was expecting uh a couple more dollars per month added on.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I I love it. I I honestly do love the approach that Paramount is doing. Uh I love all the excitement of fans. I don't love, however, the UFC store online being sold out of a lot of stuff that I want. It's like where are these people? Everybody wants to buy some UFC gear now, you know? Very exciting.

SPEAKER_00

When you don't have to pen spend a hundred dollars in order to watch a fight, you can spend that eighty dollars on merch now.

Matchups To Watch And Styles

SPEAKER_01

Yep, there it is. And uh before we move on from the from the octagon, I do want to throw out a theory that's floating around online on the internet, a theory that uh a mutual friend of ours threw out as well, was the pushing of more exciting fights, more striker-friendly fights, as opposed to, you know, the uh wrestlers in MMA running the show, you know, as sh should we say.

SPEAKER_00

Right, yeah. Again, as I as we were discussing when uh we were talking to the mutual friend, I personally haven't seen much online about that specific um topic. But provided it's done respectfully and not willy-nilly, I think it could breathe new life into the sport. Um the I I understand the viewpoint of fighting the best of the best and all that. Yes. But on the flip side it kinda the lay and prey style, that's not how you win a fight. Period. Like if you're if you're fighting someone like for real, you're not gonna lay and prey on them and just hope for the best. Right. That's that's that's not a fight. That's just uh who can lay on you longer or who's better at staying on top. That's not really a fight. A fight should be it shouldn't all the goal of a fight shouldn't be to wait for the decision I don't think.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Great.

SPEAKER_00

And and that style of fighting, that is the only possibility in that style of fighting is to just run out the clock and wait for a decision. I don't I don't see that yes, there's there's the economical side of looking at it, you know, from economy and making money and all that, that's n that's a very boring way to fight, and if you're trying to attract new fans, that's you're not gonna get it. But also if you're going to be trying to find who's the best fighter, you're not gonna be looking at who's the best layer, you know, in my opinion.

SPEAKER_01

Everyone's gonna have a different opinion on that. I mean, you got the purists that are gonna be saying, like, you know, all forms of combat. That's why it's called mixed martial arts. And then there's the uh, you know, longtime fan like myself was uh I like everything about mixed martial arts, I like everything about UFC, I like everything about this sport in general. However, like you're saying, there is kind of like a tide switching right now. Uh I mean we've seen a couple examples of this recently was the Jalton Almida vs. Volkov, where Jelten really did the lay-in prey, really lean leaned into that and wasn't able to do much striking and wasn't able to do much to capitalize on, and Volkov ended up winning. And a couple fights recently that I uh in recent memory that I've seen like that too, where just laying on your opponent isn't gonna win you the fight uh anymore, at least that's what I've seen coming up. It I don't know if it's a trend, I don't know if it's uh an ongoing thing, but um I'm excited to see whatever the UFC has in store for us.

Multicam Dreams And Production Upgrades

SPEAKER_00

So in to put it in a bit more perspective of my viewpoint, so it's not as rage baity for various people and their viewpoints. I view laying on your opponent. Yes, you're technically controlling them, but that's the same as the clinch. Should people win just because they can clinch someone against the cage wall? Should that count for their win? Because you can hug someone up against a cage for for ten minutes?

SPEAKER_01

Sounds like Mario Bautista and Jose Aldo.

SPEAKER_00

I I just don't if clinching someone against the the fence is not a valid way to win, I don't think laying on someone should be a valid way to win. You know?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's an interesting point for sure.

SPEAKER_00

But that's just my viewpoint.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and I do think that they definitely wanna, you know, pack a punch, no pun intended, with this Paramount deal, and I think they want to excite the new owners just as well as the new streaming platform just as well as the fans. They want to excite them too. And like you were saying, it it does seem like the Paramount people are excited, and it does seem like they're they may be fans too. So this is this is exciting times, I think, in general for the sport.

SPEAKER_00

The little bit of uh viewing I've seen of their interface on their website is also promising for me.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

It's less janky, smooth and it's much more smooth, you know, and more intuitive. Not not as uh open multiple pages to get to realize that that's not where you wanted to go and you have to back up and go to this new page tree. Great point. More effort. More effort. More user friendly. Which is also going to help to bring in new blood.

SPEAKER_01

I agree. Especially with that. If you make everything easy, if you make everything simple, if you make everything more cost uh efficient for people, then I think they will come.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, certainly. Yeah, the uh a ninety dollar buy-in for the whole year is much more swallowable than a ninety dollar per fight.

SPEAKER_01

Now if I could just get my money back from ESPN. If not.

SPEAKER_00

Oh you you already got your value for the money.

SPEAKER_01

If not, I'm gonna have to take some petty revenge on them. Oh. Uh a lot like the stories we have coming up on our petty revenge segment.

Pricing, Access, And Fan Experience

Are Striker-Friendly Fights Being Pushed

SPEAKER_00

Indeed we do. Alright, now for my first petty revenge is by no underscore employee two two three eight. Wanna park like an a-hole? Get trapped like an a-hole. I went to the mall yesterday to go to my local Barnes and Noble. This mall's Barnes and Noble parking area is like always full, but I found a cute little spot and parked my happy ass car in it. Wa well, once I finished spending a ridiculous amount of money on books I'll never read, I come back to my car only to find that a car had parked next to mine, on the driver's side. So fing close a child would not be able to squeeze in there. I do the old crawl in through passenger side manoeuvre, very annoyed, and I'm like, well, that was fing annoying. Let me just leave. And then I realize why should this asshole get the pleasure of entering their car all happily when I did not? So I take a gamble that the car on their on their driver's side will leave before them. I'm waiting outside, and I shit you not. Not even two minutes later someone's happy ass walks out of the Barnes and Noble, presumably with books they'll never read. He gets into the car next to Asshole's car and leaves. Happy not reading to you, my friend. I love you. I get back in my car and pull into the spot so close a child would not be able to fit through it. It took some effort to park that shitty. And I wait again. Outside, of course. About fifteen minutes of Reddit scrolling later, someone's happy smug ass walks out of the Barnes and Noble and his smugness is instantly crushed when they realize oh no, my car is so close to this car that a child could not fit through. I smile. I could do this all day. I watched him struggle to get through the passenger side seat to the driver's seat because oh yeah, I forgot to mention. This guy is not skinny, and he was tall, like at least five eleven. I'm five two and did the passenger to driver's seat gymnastics in under a minute. This guy struggled for like three minutes trying to get his legs to the other side. Once I see him almost done with his gymnastics, doesn't it feel nice to happen to you is all I'm thinking. I walk over to my car and get in and reverse out. I make sure to glance at him and smile, then give him the finger. He looks bewildered, already enraged about this three minute three minutes of struggle. Why would I flip him off? A look of realization crosses his face. I like to think his dumb ass just realized that my car was on the other side before. Think before parking like an asshole. Edit. Since a couple people asked, no, he was not in the line. He was over the line. This mall has the type of parking where every spot has a double line. Not sure how else to explain. But he was not in either set of lines, LOL.

SPEAKER_01

Wow. He was on the other side. And uh one thing I want to mention before anything else is damn I wish that mu I had that much time on my hands to to wait around and and you know. Most of the time I'm in a hurry everywhere I go.

SPEAKER_00

So I generally I I tend to have I'm very goal-oriented when I'm out and about. Of course, it doesn't help that given where I live, the nearest mall is a 40-minute drive. So when I go to the mall, I I have an explicit agenda when I'm going, you know. Because I'm also hitting other places in that town while I'm there.

SPEAKER_01

And uh yeah, I I commend this person for having the uh time and effort to uh do this really, really petty revenge on this person.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's especially with parking, it uh you don't often have the time, like we were just discussing, to have that nice petty revenge. But to hear that at least some people are able to pull that one off it's kind of cathartic, you know? The closest thing I have to that is I actually have these uh little this little notepad that's uh almost like sticky notes, but it it has uh pre-printed out things to fill out and check mark and all that and and a little note section that you can uh stick to people's windshields and it's a a fake parking ticket. And then you can make note of how terrible their parking job and what kind of infraction social infraction they did, you know. Double parking, you know, over the line random stuff, you know.

SPEAKER_01

Hmm. Not a bad idea.

SPEAKER_00

It can be fun.

SPEAKER_01

And I have a different kind of petty revenge story by Ringo seventeen thirteen. Fire away. It's called Gym Locker Room. Oh boy. I belong to the local gym where everybody is respectful of the rules and people say good morning or a friendly nod. If you need a spot, no problem. Want to work in, never an issue. Well you get the idea, however, recently things have changed drastically after another nearby gym closed. The majority of newcomers have completely ruined the vibe not re-racking weights, not wiping machines down, garbage left all over the floor.

SPEAKER_00

Oh god, that's awful.

SPEAKER_01

Hogging two to three machines at a time, etc. I had it. When a nice older gentleman asked if he could use the calf rays that group was not using, but had hoodies draped over, they told him no and laughed at his face. Ugh, gross. The gym is unstaffed at certain times of the day, so there was nothing he could do. My idea for some petty revenge came when I saw them in the changing room. They had showered and changed, but instead of taking their gym bags home, they each put their gear in a locker and locked it before they left. The gym lockers are for use while at the gym only, not a personal closet. My gym only has about twenty lockers, and this group was taking up five of them permanently without any thought of anyone else. Gross about inconsiderate. Next time I was at the gym I brought a small bottle of crazy glue and glued the keyhole in their locks. Then I went about my workout. I saw the group working out and being a general nuisance, when they left the shower I followed, watching them realize they could not get their keys in was priceless. There was no employee there to cut the locks off, so not sure how they dealt with it. After I took a long shower and got dressed, they were still irate and trying to figure out who did it. At this point I left and arouse no suspicion. I'm not sure how they got their clothes and car keys, etcetera out. When I returned to work out the next day, their lockers were cleaned out, ready for the next person.

SPEAKER_00

Well, play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Mission accomplished this guy. And honestly, sometimes things like the this needs to happen to people who refuse to be considerate and follow, you know, polite society's rules, you know.

Petty Revenge: Parking Payback

SPEAKER_01

Sometimes people need that little bit of a wake-up call. Mm-hmm. And uh maybe that puts things into perspective. I don't know. Uh I definitely don't like leaving my things overnight. Uh, somewhere I don't trust, somewhere I don't know. So they're very interesting individuals. Certainly.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. That's not something I would choose to do unless it was, you know, clearly a safe environment and it was designated for that purpose. I wouldn't take up limited locker space that's communal use. That would be But then again, I'm not the kind of person who would be obnoxious like the other people.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, uh that's really rude. Some of the things that they're doing are very inconsiderate. And uh hopefully that was a rude awakening uh to have them, you know, maybe try to be nicer to people and maybe things will get better. I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

You know you get the world you you build. If you're not if you're not interested in picking up trash, in keeping a clean environment, in having, you know, just pleasant interactions with strangers, then you're not gonna get that. You're gonna live with trash everywhere. You're gonna live with people who are hostile just at the mere sight of you. And and that's not the world I want to live in. So when I'm when I'm walking around and I see trash, I pick it up. Unless my hands are full, obviously. But you know, it's it's just it's my world too, you know. Yeah. It's just And then to do those kinds of things in a a sh uh an enclosed share environment where everyone is supposed to be having the same kind of goals. Right. It's just unfortunate. And hopefully they'll uh hopefully they'll learn.

SPEAKER_01

It's a dick move, bro. I pick up trash from the floor too whenever I see it. Mostly old pizza crusts, and usually I eat them.

SPEAKER_00

That's not what I'm talking about.

SPEAKER_01

Well then I don't do that.

SPEAKER_00

I was just trying to pick up trash If you're gonna eat it, it might not be considered trash.

SPEAKER_01

Another man's trash, it's another man's treasure.

SPEAKER_00

Ay, that's that's something alright. So moving moving on. Uh my next petty revenge is uh by Alaskan underscore apostrophe. The title is The Bathroom I worked in a small cramped shop doing electronic repair. The company bought the building next door and they had a two person office with bathroom and four bay garage. Moving my shop to the new building office was an awesome upgrade. Problem was that it had a toilet and a sink, and the door was just a few feet away from my workbench with no vent.

SPEAKER_02

Whoa.

Petty Revenge: Locker Room Glue Trap

SPEAKER_00

That's just bad design, honestly. Immediately the bathroom became an issue. The mechanics were trashing it daily, and since it was my shop, I was expected to clean it. I complained loudly. My electronic work was not causing all the grease stains all over the place. Not to mention the guys would literally shit themselves, then laugh about me having to work next to their stink. I talked to the boss. No joy. I talked to the mechanic supervisor, no joy. I appealed to the mechanics to just walk to the next building over like they always did. No joy. One day, I'm walking through the four bay garage and one of the guys is painting some wood with white latex paint. I notice he covers the can and goes to lunch. Two minutes later I'm back at that paint can with a fresh roll of toilet paper and a box. I dip that tea paper into the paint, turn it around, get the whole outside soaked really nice. Then set it into the box. I carry the box into the overhead storage area and leave it for a few days to dry. Days later I remove the the real toilet paper from the bathroom and installed my now very hard as a rock roll. Victim number one enters, followed by what the followed by Did you do this? I start giggling and then laughing my butt off. Are you having a problem in there? That isn't funny. I slip one square of toilet paper under the door. If you say please, I might give you another one. Please? So I shove another square under the door. Oh god, more pretty please. So I shove two sheets under. You know, I don't have a lot with me. Better use both sides. Worst part it's single ply. I get a loud groan. Come on man, have a heart. So I tell him only if you promise never to shit in there again and clean up the place when finished. Ooh he replied with Promise So I crack the door open just enough to toss the roll in like it was a grenade. After my third victim, word spread, and my problem was solved.

SPEAKER_01

Damn. I think he started all of that with saying, Do you want to play a game?

SPEAKER_00

That does feel a little bit like maybe uh something Saw would do. Well, it'd probably be a little bit gorier if Saw had any hand in it, but you have a choice.

SPEAKER_01

Which piece of toilet paper do you want? Door number one or door number two. And then you open number one, sandpaper. First option, one square of toilet paper. Option two, your own hand. Oh my word. Option one, an old dirty boot. Option two, a brick. Oh man. He just keeps getting worse from there.

SPEAKER_00

Oh man, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

That guy Rusty Spoon. That's crazy.

SPEAKER_00

Honestly, though, I can understand the uh the inner rage that gradually builds in a situation like that where you feel powerless and people are just blatantly making your life worse because they think it's funny. Yeah, that sucks.

SPEAKER_01

I'm wondering if they're gonna have some sort of drama after this. PTSD. They're gonna be scared in the bathroom, check the toilet paper rules first.

SPEAKER_00

I I would probably do that. Yeah, that's insane. Start checking the toilet paper before I sit down. Doesn't matter for me. I use wipes.

SPEAKER_01

Anyway. I'm glad I don't pay your plumbing bill. Anyway. Anyway. Uh my petty revenge story Uh is by one Corky One. My coworker had the pettiest of revenges with our tantrum throwing boss.

SPEAKER_00

Oh good. Tantrum throwing bosses deserve everything that comes their way. I think that's bad.

Petty Revenge: Boss vs. The Printer Gauntlet

SPEAKER_01

I think you'll like this. Our boss was a petty tyrant. Oh god. He would do things that put us in difficult situations, then yell at us while blaming us for the hassle. Best of all, he was an impatient man child. My co worker, Tom, was stuck in the office more than I was. Poor bastard. Tom's petty revenge was driving our boss more insane, yet our boss had no idea he was doing it.

SPEAKER_00

Oh good. Good.

SPEAKER_01

Our boss had the nice big office up front. The printers were in the back. Tom and I sat in the cube farm between them. The boss would print out something, then quickly and impatiently sprint to pick up what he printed.

SPEAKER_00

Good lord the hell.

SPEAKER_01

He was always hyper focused on getting that print out. I guess. Most times the laser printer spun up and our boss moved from his office. Tom would get up from his cube and get in his way. He would walk slowly to the printers, or he would carefully be carrying a coffee cup that was filled to the top. Or waddling awkwardly towards the bathroom.

SPEAKER_00

Great timing.

SPEAKER_01

Sometimes he would do that side, which way are you gonna go, hopping? As they tried to dodge each other. But Tom never got it right, and they always ended up running into each other. Oh god. I watched this happen whenever I was in the office. Tom was doing this multiple times per day. Tom. Our boss had no idea, but the his blood pressure went up every time he went to retrieve a printout. Thank you, Tom. Against all odds, you made that place a tiny bit more tolerable.

SPEAKER_00

I can appreciate when a coworker does something like that.

SPEAKER_01

Cathartic, as you say. Yes. Uh Tom, we commend you here at Peak Points and uh You know, if you ever want to be on this show, dude, we got you. We'll give we'll get we'll give your side of the story, Tom. Uh, an evil genius and someone who uh when I grow up, I want to be just like him.

SPEAKER_00

Ready and prepared to retaliate.

SPEAKER_01

That's such a like genius retaliation, though. It's it's harmless. He's not hurting anyone. No. And he's not necessarily a you know doing it with the other guy's knowledge.

Petty Revenge: Mud, Dogs, And Boundaries

SPEAKER_00

The way he managed it was clearly expert. Or the boss was just completely stupid. I don't know which. But either way, to get away with it is spectacular. Spectacular.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. And uh very, very, very much appreciation to Tom. And uh you're the type of coworker that saves the day. Not all heroes wear capes, sir.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you people like Tom can help uh prevent people from going postal because there's just that little bit of light in their day that they get to look forward to. Alright, my final petty revenge for the episode will be by Gullible Volume eighty forty nine. I didn't fight with my neighbor, Mud did. There was a woman living next to my house. She had a big dog. Every morning she used to let the dog loose near my side of the fence. Slowly my plants started getting damaged. Soil everywhere, some flowers completely gone. At first I thought maybe street dogs or kids, but one day I saw it clearly. Her dog was digging near my plants while she was standing there on her phone. I told her once very politely, and she said dogs do these things, and laughed a little. After that, nothing changed. I fixed the plants again, put a small fence. Still, whenever her dog came out, somehow it ended up damaging my side. She never stopped it. So I stopped saying anything. Instead, I started watering my plants very early in the morning. Extra water. The ground near the fence stayed muddy for hours. After a few days, her dog came again. This time it slipped in the mud and got fully dirty. She had to clean it, the floor, everything. This happened more than once. After that, she stopped bringing the dog near my side. My plants are fine now. I never said anything again. She also never laughed again.

SPEAKER_01

I think that's genius too, man. These people uh there's some good ways of dealing with things of dealing with things that are not like punching them in the face.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yeah, with and not having to uh involve law enforcement or some other higher force that you are yourself.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm. Wow, that's I love that one. I love that one. That's good smart.

SPEAKER_00

Make it a hassle to be a hassle to me, and maybe it'll stop.

Petty Revenge: Tarot Cards For Amy

SPEAKER_01

And for my last uh petty revenge story, this is by No Pomegranate 4794. I gave my religious coworker terror cards as a going away gift. Oh boy. Okay, there is an important background leading up to this, so buckle up. This gets weird. So about a year ago we had a new employee we'll call Amy. The second person in this we'll call May. So Amy and May became really close, basically best work friends. May is also a witch, you want to talk Territ or crystals, go to her. Now she doesn't put this fact about her on full display because she's gotten negative reactions, plus she's had people use that as a weapon against her. Ugh. Yeah. I meant a crystals, so that's how May and I got connected. Amy said she was also a witch, something she and May heavily bonded over. They had even went to some spiritual awakening classes together. So recently, around three months ago, layoffs were announced, putting May and Amy on the chopping block. Now, cut to more present times about a month ago, Amy and May had suddenly stopped talking. To the point May would ev wouldn't even carpool it if Amy was in the car with her. A lot of people came to me asking what happened as I was the closest to the two of them. I had no idea. But someone else told me that Amy was saying a lot of bad things about May. So I finally asked May and she tells me that they went to a party and something happened, and Amy wouldn't apologize for it. I then go to Amy and I ask her, she won't tell me what happened but did badmouth May a lot, but never once said what she did. So I go back to May and May finally tells me they went to a party and Amy left left her there alone to go home with a guy and didn't tell her. Not only that, May can't go to parties alone or drive because she has epilepsy. This is well known around the workplace. The stress of her not knowing what happened to her friend caused her to have a seizure. She ended up in the hospital for a day and was out of work for two. And when May finally got to talk to Amy, she didn't apologize and tried to make May feel like she was in the wrong. Amy also started going on some odd crusade about May being a witch and going on some holier than thou bout. The words evil and unholy being used in an uncomfortable amount. Honestly, that was that shift was so fast it feels like she joined some sort of religious cult. And that finally brings us to the present where we're having a party for those being laid off. I got a gift for everyone, but got something special for Amy. For Amy, I made her a witch slash wicken gift basket and and added some tarot cards, a few crystals, and candles. The look on her face, she had one of those strange smiles that screamed, I can't throw a fit right now because I care about my image, but I'm so pissed.

SPEAKER_00

Man, it is so nice when people are uh you know that that concerned about their image. Mm-hmm.

Closing Banter And Listener CTA

SPEAKER_01

Did I spend over thirty dollars to be petty? Yes. Yes I did. Worth it.

SPEAKER_00

Ah, that warm glow that you can look back on for years and years. Definitely worth thirty bucks.

SPEAKER_01

Definitely worth thirty bucks. Yes. Worth the price of admission, so they say.

SPEAKER_00

Alright, Alan. That about wraps it for our Reddit section, but uh just before we leave, I do have a quick thought or question for you, rather. Is your personality just trauma with jokes?

SPEAKER_01

Maybe it's jokes with trauma.

SPEAKER_00

Or trauma jokes. Or maybe it's all just trauma. Trauma. Too much trauma and too much trauma. Not enough trauma for all this trauma.

SPEAKER_01

We need more trauma for the trauma.

SPEAKER_00

We do.

SPEAKER_01

Whoa. Blowing my mind. I have a headache now.

SPEAKER_00

And with that, folks, don't forget to put them gloves up to uh protect you against all that trauma.
