The Impact of a Life Well-Lived: Wes & Lyndsi Jackson's Story of Impact, Love & Legacy
In this episode of The IMPACT Show, Jeremy and Maddie sit down with Wes and Lyndsi Jackson to share a story of love, loss, loyalty, and lasting impact.
Wes and Lyndsi are widely known in Morgan County, not for titles or positions, but for the way they show up for children in this community. They have coached countless teams, poured into kids who needed steady voices, and created a safe place where effort, respect, joy, and belonging are taught one practice at a time. Through coaching, they’ve been more than teachers of sports, they’ve been builders of character, confidence, and hope.
But their story is also marked by heartbreak. In January, their son Avett, a vibrant, humble, gifted twelve-year-old who had a way of making everyone around him feel seen, was tragically killed in an accident. His passing shook the entire county, as it claimed the life of 2 seventh graders. And yet, through unexplainable strength, honest grief, and their faith—Wes and Lyndsi have continued to lead, love, and lift others.
In this conversation, they share:
- The joy and everyday goodness of the life with Avett
- The accident that changed everything
- How their faith has held them in the darkest of days
- The community that held them close
- The ongoing impact of Avett’s life — including kids making decisions for Christ
- To keep doing the things. To keep loving the kids. To keep showing up.
Their message is simple, powerful, and unforgettable:
Do the things. Say yes. Hug your people. Coach the team. Love the kids who need it. Be kind. Be present. And if you don’t know Jesus, get to know Him.
This episode is not just a story of loss.
It is a testimony of faith, family, and the beautiful ripple effect of a life lived well.
And Avett’s impact continues.

Because the story isn’t over.
It’s only beginning — for every life he touched.
