 Hey, Sam here. This is a bonus mini episode featuring one of my substack poems. This is a completely new creative endeavor, which I've suddenly felt compelled to create and share. Um, who knows how long it will last this episode is only a few minutes long, but I hope it brightens your day in some way. Before I share the poem, I just want to share some background with you.

So every blank canvas holds infinite potential. It's a really quiet, uh, expectant space, often very intimidating for people waiting to be awakened by the artist's touch. And my poem this week, layers of You, is a poetic reflection on the intimate, transformative process of [00:01:00] painting where each brushstroke is an act of discovery and devotion.

This poem aims to capture the unfolding of creativity as color and form emerge from emptiness from nothing, much like the way we uncover layers of ourselves through artistic expression, through rhythmic. Evocative imagery, layers of view explores the deep connection between the artist and their work, celebrating the magic, messiness, and soul infused beauty of creation.

It speaks to the feminine energy infused in art, honoring the intuitive flow that guides the hands and hearts of a creator. Each line whispers of the trust required in the process, the surrender to imperfection. The joy in watching something come to life and the moment when the painting like the artist reveals its truth,[00:02:00]

now for the poem. Layers of you, fresh out of skin type Plastic, stark white, smooth, and drastic. Before we begin, we must muddy you up proper. I will lavish you with large, smooth brushstrokes of velvety copper. Then I'll swirl around you and until my vision for you pops out. Next I'll add some early layers, all about rough and messy brush strokes thin with paint dried so quickly, less and less faint.

Before too long, your beauty starts to feel sublime. It shines one layered section at a time. Soon I fall in love with your heartbeat. Your creative magic is no feat for you. Carry the soul of the feminine collective. May your truth shine out bright and reflective. [00:03:00] Hey, Sam here.
