Invitation to soulful art
[00:00:00] This episode explores using soulful creativity to intentionally connect to your inner truth and safely honor that truth by expressing it through the nurturing container of soulful art making. This is a very intentional, personal way of cultivating a more authentic soul aligned life. And this month I'm exploring the theme of inner truth because in.
Our busy lives, it's very easy to lose touch with what's deeply true, and this can show up as restlessness, a sense of feeling lost or shut down, a sudden realization that maybe this isn't what we want. After all, sometimes it can feel like getting stuck in self-doubt. These little feelings that creep up on you, distancing you from what is really true deep inside and for me at the moment.
I've been overworking and running on autopilot a bit more than I should. I can feel [00:01:00] it really distancing me from my center point, my strength, my most empowered state. So I've been feeling really called to lean inwards and reconnect to what's true for me. Shake off the bits that are keeping me, uh, busy at the moment, but not necessarily true, aligned and empowered.
Almost like a little reset to welcome in more connection and self-honesty. To support this journey, I wanted to create a little artwork intentionally exploring what it feels like to honor my truth, how I want to hold myself now and carry myself into the future. My painting is a portrait of a woman with sapphire colored eyes hinting that she can see clearly.
Now, she wears a bold, floral black top. Elegant feminine, yet structured and empowered behind her in the background are some faint bubbles, and I imagine the truth [00:02:00] fizzing inside, gently floating to the surface around us, um, if we're brave enough to just allow it. To me, this little painting represents the value of imperfect courage.
Courage to be true, to be patient, to trust the path and the process of carving out this intentional, creative time just for me, with no attachment to creating something beautiful and only with the intention of reconnecting to the real me is my favorite way to honor myself and nurture my truth. And now I invite you to create your own soulful artwork that honors the inner truth that your soul is calling you towards in this life season.
Use some short grounding practices. You can revisit the episode before this one for a soul activation I recorded for you, if you like. Um, the important thing is to center yourself, you know, to, to take a pause and then start by drawing a shape in the center of your page. That, uh, represents what it feels like to honor [00:03:00] your soul's truth and really let your creativity guide you to fill the page with light love and boundaries that will help you honor this truth.
Use any symbols, shapes, words, drawings, colors that call to you, and please share your drawing with me. I would love to see it inside the soul led creative community. You can join for free at sam horton.co/community.
