Ep 104: Poem: Creative Wisdom

[00:00:00] This episode is a short poetry mini, so where I expand on this month's theme where we explored, uh, shifting from consuming self-help into creative wisdom. There are seasons in life when we gather so much guidance, insight, and well-intentioned advice that our inner world begins to feel crowded. We read, listen, learn, and reflect, all in the hope of growing, healing, and becoming more aligned.

Yet sometimes in the midst of all that learning, it becomes harder to hear the quiet voice within us, not because it has disappeared, but because it is softer, um, than the noise around us. This poem was born from that realization, the understanding that wisdom is not only something we receive from others.

It is something that unfolds within us. When we create space, slow down and allow our inner voice to emerge. Creativity offers that space. It gives the mind [00:01:00] a rest and allows the body, the senses and intuition to speak in a language beyond words. For me, creative expression has become a way of settling the noise, of letting what matters, rise to the surface while gently releasing.

What doesn't belong? It's not about making something impressive or perfect. It's about listening, witnessing, and trusting what feels true in the moment. In that quiet, attentive space, a different kind of wisdom begins to appear, one that feels lived, embodied, and deeply personal. Creative wisdom is a reflection on returning to that space.

A reminder that we do not always need more answers. sometimes what we need most is a softer way of listening, and the courage to trust what we hear. Now for the poem. Enjoy

creative wisdom. Sometimes the voice of helpers [00:02:00] distracts me from my own. Well-intentioned wisdom seeking a home inside my zone, a sense of overcrowding, swells, dizzy in the noise, so loud and bright and distant from the whisper deep inside before I overflow. What I really need today is the gentle, caring, softness and intuitive creative way.

Time spent allowing things to settle a space that doesn't need more words. Just a connection to Marx and texture that moves freely through my hands. A quiet, tender witness guiding me to keep what needs to stay and abandon the extra details that don't serve my soul today.
