What if your creativity wasn’t just something you do… but a quiet, powerful conversation with your soul? '
3 Powerful Benefits of Listening:
- Discover how creativity can become a deeply healing and revealing inner dialogue
- Learn to trust the messages, symbols, and emotions that emerge through your art
- Feel inspired to reconnect with your creative practice as a pathway to wholeness and self-trust
In this intimate poetry minisode, I share my original poem “Conversation with My Soul” — a reflection on the unexpected comfort, clarity, and connection that can be found through a soulful creative practice. This piece explores how creativity can meet you in the dark, hold you through uncertainty, and gently reveal truths that words alone often cannot reach.
Through this poem and reflection, you are invited to see your art not as something to perfect, but as something to listen to. A space where noise softens, truth rises, and your inner voice becomes too sacred to ignore. This episode is a reminder that your creativity is not separate from your healing… it is a direct pathway back to yourself.
Key Takeaways:
- Creativity as a conversation with your soul, not just a form of expression
- The healing power of witnessing your art and allowing meaning to unfold over time
- How marks, colour, and symbolism can reveal deeper emotional and spiritual truths
- Releasing the need to intellectually “figure out” your creative work
- Creativity as a tool to clear inner noise and reconnect with your truth
- Trusting your creative voice as a reflection of your inner wisdom
- Returning to your creative practice as a pathway to feeling whole

Ep 112 Conversation with My Soul
[00:00:00] So this episode is a poetry mini, so my poem, conversation with my soul speaks to the quiet, almost surprising relationship that forms between you and your creativity and how over time it begins to feel less like something you do and more like something that meets you. There's a sense. That in moments of darkness, uncertainty, or even emotional noise, your creative practice becomes a companion.
A place where you are both held and gently revealed to yourself. The marks, the color, the textures, they're not random. They carry something, they hold energy, memory, truth. And through the simple act of showing up and creating, you begin to witness parts of yourself that may not have had words before.
At its core, this poem is about trust, trusting that whatever moves through you has meaning. Trusting that your creative voice is [00:01:00] not separate from your truth, but a direct expression of it. And perhaps most importantly, it speaks to the gentle, ongoing invitation to keep coming back because within that conversation, within those quiet whispers, there's a sense of wholeness waiting.
There not something you need to become, but something you are simply remembering. One honest stroke at a time. As you listen to the poem, you may like to reflect. Where in your own life or creative practice have you felt this kind of conversation begin to emerge?
What is your creativity gently trying to show you if you softened your need to define it?
Now for the poem, enjoy
conversation with my soul, an unexpected comfort, a companion in the dark. You fill me with wonder and at the same time, soothe my heart. A gift of marks in color, [00:02:00] haunting faces. You awoke a special kind of energy captured slowly with every stroke. Honest messages, land with ease, shining a light on my own power, not because I'm stupid.
It's the noise you help me devour. This magic kind of feeling keeps me showing up for more
My voice of truth and healing to sacred to ignore time spent in deeply moving conversation with my soul. A gentle kind of whisper that invites me to feel whole.
