Have you noticed how difficult it's becoming to maintain spiritual focus in today's hyper-connected world? The Lord is revealing that a spirit of distraction has fallen upon believers, becoming "prominent and flamboyant" in our lives, pulling our attention away from divine purpose toward endless worldly concerns.

This powerful message calls us to slow down and redirect our focus to recognize God's constant presence. While staying informed about world events matters, many Christians have become so consumed by political happenings and worldly systems that we've lost our spiritual distinctiveness. The result? Missed divine appointments, diminished spiritual sensitivity, and purpose unfulfilled.

What many believers fail to recognize is the powerful spiritual support system operating on our behalf. Angels—described in scripture as "mighty ones" with great strength and capacity—are actively serving believers, protecting us from unseen dangers, and battling demonic forces in the spiritual realm. As the teaching reveals, these heavenly ministers respond specifically to God's Word being spoken, which is why saturating our environments with scripture creates conditions for divine intervention. When angels hear the Word coming from our mouths, they must respond!

This message carries special significance for parents raising children in an increasingly hostile spiritual climate. Though prayer and biblical instruction have been systematically removed from educational institutions, Christian parents must intentionally teach their children about spiritual realities, including the angelic protection that accompanies them everywhere they go.

Ready to break free from distraction and tap into the spiritual resources heaven has provided? Listen now and discover how to recognize divine presence and angelic assistance in your daily life. Share this episode with someone who needs to be reminded that heaven truly has their back!

Speaker 1:

Life is busy. It's busy, it's fast-paced and because of so many things that are happening in the earth realm, there is great distraction. The Lord showed me great distraction that is falling, a spirit of distraction that has fallen on the body of Christ, that is falling on his people, that is making itself very prominent in the lives of believers, very prominent, very flamboyant, where people are being the hearts of God's people are being distracted because there's so much going on, my God, there's so much going on, going on, my God, there's so much going on. But I heard the Lord say to slow down, because he wants us to recognize his presence. He wants us to create space and make room and redirect our focus that we would know, my God, that God is with us. He said he'd never leave us, he'd never forsake us. He wants us to recognize his presence and come to an awareness that the ministering spirits, the angels of God, are with us to serve us, my God, to protect us, and we'll get into that.

Speaker 1:

I am your host, dr Lydia Michelle Young, here with my co-host intercessor, janine Nicole. She's in the building. The presence of the Lord is here, my God, this is Wednesday midweek, refreshing fire. Thank you for tuning in for listening, for supporting Sweet Fire, the podcast. We're here to serve, we're here to be a blessing, amen. We're just excited about what God is doing in this hour. Come on, intercessor. God bless you, people of God, god bless you. God bless everyone tuning in on this evening.

Speaker 1:

Slow down, slow down, that is truly a word, a word for in season, a word, you know, for our right now lives, a word for the people of God. To slow down because oftentimes, the busyness of life, the enemy, you know, with that cunning nature of his, he has a way, you know, of creeping in in the busyness of life, you know, and it appears to be so innocent because oftentimes, you know, we become busy with the necessities of life. We become busy with the necessities of life but, on the same hand, if we're not careful, the necessities of life and the busyness that the necessities of life present themselves in, they can distract us and get us off course, get us off focus. You know where we lose focus. And God is saying to slow down, slow down, amen. And this word today is coming as a sign. This word is coming as a sign there is a shifting, a shifting, a shifting, a refocusing, a redirecting of our hearts, of our minds, in the lives of God's people, for us to align ourselves with what the Holy Spirit himself is doing in this hour. We have to realign and become aware and, oh my God, wake up and understand, wake up and see, wake up and perceive what, in fact, the Holy Spirit is doing in this hour.

Speaker 1:

Too many are distracted with the news, too many are distracted with what's going on in the earth. My God, yes, pray, yes, intercede. My God, yes, minister, as God leads you, speak a word of life as God leads you. But too many the Lord showed me this just last week intercessor are caught up and you're missing your purpose, you're missing your call, you're missing what you've been chosen to do, you're missing your purpose. You're missing your purpose in ministry, you're missing your purpose in business, you're missing your purpose in your home life. You're missing your purpose because you're caught up with what's going on. Slow down, slow down that's the word, slow down, and this word is coming up again as a sign regarding the shifting. And so when we understand and I'm going to get through it that God is, that his presence is with us, he'll never leave us, never forsake us, we understand that he is our source. He is our sole provider, my God, and what we do in this life according to the will and the purpose of God is anchored in his purpose. He is our savior, my God. He rescued us. He picked us up and turned us around. He is our strength when we're weak. He's our strength, my God. He helps us to persevere through weakness. He is our sanctifier. He sets us apart for service. He sets us apart for his purpose. Recognize that God is with you wherever you are. God is there. Come on, intercessor. Amen, god is there, god is there. And you know yeah, it's okay.

Speaker 1:

As the body of Christ, you know we are supposed to be informed. Right, we should be informed, so you know. Informed. So you know we need to be aware of what is happening around us. But you know, we cannot become so consumed by it to where we're so distracted behind it. You know, I'm gonna say it again we cannot become so consumed by it that we are distracted behind it. You know, as the members of the body of Christ, we are not supposed to be so involved I'm just going to say it politically speaking. We're not supposed to be so involved, politically speaking, to where much of our dialogue is about. The politics is about, you know, what's going on in the world systems around us. What are we supposed to do? We're supposed to be informed behind it so that we can pray about it. That's what we're supposed to do, you know, and it's unfortunately doctor.

Speaker 1:

As you know and many of you out there know, I'm not, you know, one who sleuths social media a lot. You know I utilize social media but I'm not always on social media. You know, doing a bunch of scrolling and reading different posts and stuff. But it's unfortunate because the times that, you know, the Holy Spirit will lead me in that direction again, because I'm supposed to be informed about what's going on around me. On the platform that I'm utilizing, I'll come across maybe a post or something that's, you know, a believer.

Speaker 1:

But however it's so, you know it doesn't. It doesn't say believer, it doesn't present itself as being a believer. Right, Because the post is so worldly. The post is so worldly, you know, it is so political, if you will, and that's the problem in the body of Christ, of Christ so many are so distracted by, you know, the happenings of today, to where we're not. We're blending in, we're resembling the world. We're not, you know. You know we're not looking as if we're not of the world, and scripture says that we're in this world but we're not of the world and we have to as the body of Christ. We have to know, you know, how to prioritize.

Speaker 1:

And what is priority for the members of the body of Christ is those things which are spiritual. We're supposed to be tuned in spiritually Because when we're tuned in spiritually we catch our purpose. We become so in, tuned with the voice of God. We know and understand the Lord's will for our life. We know how to stay in step with the spirit of truth leading and guiding us into all truth. Those things that are spiritual is supposed to be spiritual. Top priority for the body of Christ. Top priority, top priority for the body of Christ. My goodness, it just takes me back to where we are, even in this series. Heaven has my Back as a reminder. Heaven has my Back.

Speaker 1:

And prioritizing, you know, prioritizing your life, prioritizing the things of God for your life, in your life, prioritizing, and again coming back to recognizing the presence of God. We're talking about the spiritual things of God, recognizing the presence of God in your life, and God is saying today, not only recognizing my presence in your life, everywhere you go, I'm with you, but also understanding that the host of heaven has your back and that the ministering angels, the ministering spirit of God, are with you. To do what? To serve you, to protect you, my God, servants to believers, ministers to believers, to encourage, support, protect and provide divine intervention. Let's look at Hebrews 1, 14, intercessor. It says it like this are not all the angels ministering spirits sent out by God to serve what is that? To accompany you, to protect you, to protect those who inherit salvation? We're talking to believers.

Speaker 1:

This word is not just for believers. We are praying and believing that there is a word that comes forth, that exuberates from this platform, from this ministry, that will cause hearts to shift, that will convert people, our souls, to come to Christ, to believe, to have faith. What? Romans 10, 17. So, then, faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. So here's the word of God. So here is the word of God. So here's the word of God. So here is the word of God, psalm 91, 11. Unless you want to go, hit on Hebrews 1, 14. Come on, amen.

Speaker 1:

You know who, the ministering angels who are to serve us. They are to serve us. That's loaded. Ministering angels, listen, who are to serve us, serve us, tend to our spiritual needs, to minister to us. Minister what? Minister? The word of God. Ministering angels serving us on behalf of God. They angels serving us on behalf of God. They're serving us on behalf of God. My God, that's impactful. They're serving us on behalf of God. Slow down and recognize that, amen. Slow down and recognize that.

Speaker 1:

This is why the enemy wants us to be so distracted and he doesn't want us to be tuned in spiritually. But, people of god, you know, hear me when, when I say we are literally living in the midst of a war zone. That's right, we are living in the midst of a war zone. We don't see what's taking place in the spiritual realm, but there is war taking place in the spiritual realm. There are angels fighting on our behalf, fighting to keep the people of God safe, fighting to get the word of God to us, fighting, fighting, fighting. We are in the midst of a spiritual war zone. So, even the more so, we cannot allow ourselves to be distracted by what we see in the natural, because what we see in the natural does not matter. What matters is what is happening in the spiritual. So we must be a people, diligently, be in, tuned into the spirit so we can recognize that we have the host of heaven backing us.

Speaker 1:

Redirect, focus, come on, redirect, focus and recognize. Get an awareness about your life. Get an awareness so you can impart into your children, my God, a word that they understand that they are not alone. It's not just mommy and daddy and siblings and cousins and aunties and uncles and friends Come on but God, the ministering angels, the host of heaven, has their back. It's not your seed called to be saved, it's not your seed. God's hand on the life of your seed, of your children. Come on here. They are an inheritance of the Lord, my God. So it is our due Responsibility to minister To them, to be aware, even when they go to school, wherever they are, on the playground, wherever they are, if they're visiting a loved one or a friend, if they're at a park or an amusement park, wherever they are, that God is with them. Amen, yes, come on. Come on, jump in. I love how you brought that out.

Speaker 1:

Our babies, our babies, our babies that we are sending out to school, our babies that we are sending out to these schools systems, especially here in the United States of America. We ought to be sending our children out Amen, and awakening their minds, their little young minds, that, though they are on their way to school, they have angels, their angels are assigned to them, their angels are going with them, their angels are in that classroom with them. Their angels are right there ministering to them and serving them. We need to be ministering the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ to our children. It doesn't matter how young they are. They are never too young to start learning about the Lord, to start learning about the truth of the Bible. Though prayer has been taken out of the schools, though the word of God is not allowed to be preached in the school's parents, it is your due diligence, it is your responsibility to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ to your children so that, when your children leave the house, they are on their way to school knowing that heaven has their back. Oh my God, yes, yes, yes, and I say amen to that.

Speaker 1:

Look, atsalm 91 11. Psalm 91 11. This is the word. So faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of god. It says for he will command, for he will command his angels. In regard to you, loved ones, those who are hearing this word today. He will command, he will give charge to, he will direct, he will delegate, oh, my God, his angels, in regard to you, to protect, to defend and guard you in all your ways, in all your ways To protect you and to provide assistance to you. My God, let's look at Psalm as we get ready to close, psalm 103.20. Psalm 103.20. It says Bless the Lord, you, his angels, you, my god. Look at, let's look at, uh, as we get ready to close, psalm 103 20.

Speaker 1:

Psalm 103 20. It says bless the lord, you, his angels, you mighty ones, you mighty ones, my god, who do his commandments, obeying the voice of his word. What does this let us know if the angels bless him. This is a universal call to praise. A universal call to praise. I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually. Oh, my God, I command my soul to bless him. This is a universal call to praise.

Speaker 1:

The angels are called in that time by David to bless the Lord. He says you, his angels, you mighty ones. That lets us know that they have great strength, they have great capacity to carry out the will and the purpose of God, what God has assigned them to do concerning you, my God, on your behalf, on behalf of his people. They are mighty ones. They have great strength. They have great ability, my God, but they serve you with that power, my God. Strength. They have great ability, my God, but they serve you with that power, my God. They serve you with their ability, they serve you with their great capacity. Come on, come on To execute, come on Divine, the divine commands of God. Oh, my God, and you talked about it the war. We're on a battlefield, and to counterbalance, to battle demonic forces, that's what they're assigned to do on your behalf. Come on, intercessor, amen, amen, amen, even the more so that we cannot allow ourselves to be distracted. We cannot allow ourselves to be distracted.

Speaker 1:

The angels respond to the word of God. That's right. The angels respond to the word of God. The angels respond to the word of God. Catch it, people of God. The angels respond to the word of God. So what does that mean?

Speaker 1:

When the angels hear the word of God coming out of our mouth, the angels must respond, they must move on our behalf. When they hear what? The word of God, even the more so. We cannot allow ourselves to be distracted by the things that are happening all around us. We have to maintain our spiritual mindset, keep our spiritual perspective, because when the angels hear the word of God, they must respond. They must move on our behalf. Why? Because they are here to serve us. They are here to serve us. So we must be a people that are saturating our atmospheres with the word of God. If we want to see heaven move in our direction, we must declare the word of God, amen. And when the word of God. And when the angels hear the word of God, amen and when the word of God.

Speaker 1:

When the angels hear the word of God, and the angels are responding to what they are hearing. What's happening, doctor? We're raining heaven in, we're ushering heaven in. That's it. Windows of heaven are open, pouring out blessings. Now we have room enough not to receive. We don't have room enough to receive what God is pouring out, period. We don't have room enough to receive. The angels respond to the voice of his word Amen. The angels respond to the voice of his word. When we speak the word, god responds to his voice coming out of our mouths. So, speak the word, live the word, walk the word, breathe the word, eat the word. Declare the word of the Lord, over your life and over the life of your children. My God, peace be to you, peace be to your house and peace be to all you have.
