What if the real power to create wealth isn’t found in hustle, but in remembering the Source? We open Deuteronomy 8:17–18 and unpack a bigger vision of prosperity—one that starts with a flourishing soul, clear identity, and alignment with purpose. Alongside Intercessor J’eanine Nichole, we explore how the Hebrew idea of koa means vigor, capacity, and force that sustains your calling without burning you out. When gifts are surrendered to God, effort stops feeling like grinding gears and starts feeling like momentum.
We move past the narrow view of money and talk about emotional health, restored relationships, and the peace that lets your work bear lasting fruit. Forgetting where we came from breeds pride and exhaustion; remembering becomes a strategy for joy and clarity. We share why seeking the kingdom first is not a delay of your goals but the path that stabilizes them. From there, we get practical about channeling koa: crafting your skills, applying steady effort, and asking for wisdom to choose the right doors and the right timing.
If you’ve felt stuck working someone else’s vision or worn down chasing outcomes, this conversation invites you to tap in—to awaken what God placed in you and walk through the door that’s opening now. Expect a mix of scripture, lived insight, and an empowering push to fulfill what’s been entrusted to you. Subscribe, share with a friend who needs a midweek fire, and leave a review telling us where you’re ready to activate your gifting.

You may say to yourself, My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me. But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability, it is He who gives you the power to produce wealth or to get wealth, and so confirms His covenant. He confirms His covenant, His promise, uh, which He swore to your ancestors as it is to this very day. That is coming out of uh that is coming out of Deuteronomy, excuse me. That's Deuteronomy uh chapter 8, verses 17 through 18. I hope you heard that. I really hope you uh heard that that clearly. And I can I read it one more time, intercessor. Verse 17 says, You may say to yourself, My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me. Verse 18. It says, But remember, that's the key to remember the Lord your God. For it is he who gives you the ability, it is he who gives you the capacity, it is he who gives you the power to get or to produce or to gain or to achieve wealth, and so confirms his covenant, he confirms his promise, which he swore to your ancestors, to your ancestor, as it is today. We're going to be covering uh this is gonna be part two of power uh to get wealth. We had a a discussion on last week uh here on Sweet Fire the Podcast, and we're continuing in that area, in that topic topic, and that subject, excuse me, power to get wealth. I'm your host, Dr. Lydia Michelle Young, here with my co-host, none other than none other than intercessor Janine Nicole. She is here and present, and I know she's ready and fired up and ready to uh expand and uh share uh words of wisdom on this topic for those of you who are listening. Today is Wednesday, it's it's the middle of the week, midweek refreshing fire, a fire of the word of God as fire coming forth to refreshen you today. And we just appreciate you for tuning in uh to Sweet Fire the podcast. Come on, intercessor, jump in. Good evening, everyone. Uh, it is good to be back for another dynamic prophetic uh episode. It is he who has given us the power to go get wealth. And I love uh how the verse starts off or kicks off. Remember, that's the key. Remember who it is that enables us, who it is that you know gives us the gifts, the talents, the the principles, the wisdom, the knowledge on how to make our pathway successful, how to rein in, you know, that that prosperity. Remember who it is that does it. So again, good evening, everyone, and welcome to another dynamic episode. All right. So this is this, I love this verse 17. It says, you may say, you know, you may utter out of your mouth that it's your it's your strength, it's your power, it's your wherewithal, it's your skill, it's it's you. But no, in fact, your wealth uh is a result of God's hand on your life, God's hand on your mind, your heart, your body, giving you the ability, the capacity, the strength, the wisdom, the intellect, the understanding. It's God's hand. It's not my hand. It's not, you know, it's the gift of God in us that enables us to get wealth. And we're not talking about money, just money alone. But when we talk about the wealthy place, the riches of God, that's spiritual, that's a spiritual aspect as well. Um, to be rich in the spirit, to be rich in the things of God, to be rich in our relationship, the intimacy uh that we share uh with our Father. And so, understanding all of this, it's we have the ability to take our lives to the next level. And in fact, this series is entitled Next Level. He has gifted us with the ability, the capacity to take our lives to the next level in terms of breakthroughs in business, uh breakthroughs and in uh financially breakthroughs. He's given us all that we need. Come on, jump in. Jump in. Yeah, he's given us all that uh all that we need. And I'm glad that you uh specified that it's not you know all about the the the financial prosperity because there's so many ways that you know we are able to be prosperous and rich when we are in God, right? You know, being full of his Holy Spirit, being aligned, you know, uh with his word, living life according to the biblical principles that he has placed before us. You know, there are so many uh ways, different capacities that one can be rich and be prosperous, you know, being emotionally prosperous. That's key. There are so many people walking around today who are broken in their emotions, who are just destroyed and devastated in their emotions. And as a result, that that that devastation has crinkled down. There's been a domino effect, and it has, you know, affected their relationships. So they're experiencing poor relationships right now, the relationships on their job, you know, they're poor, right? Because of the emotional uh devastation, the emotional uh uh turmoil taking place in their minds, you know. So yeah, that's that's very key because a lot of people, unfortunately, they like in prosperity. And the first thing, you know, that many folk, and I was guilty of it, you know, in in times past being younger, the first thing we jump to it is the money. It's money. And that is, you know, that does not uh uh money does not define, you know, uh uh wholeness, right? Money does not define, you know, the truth of prosperity. You know, prosperity truly comes when one when one's soul is anchored in God, when one's soul is centered in God. You know, that's the rich and the prosperity. That's that prosperity that's everlasting. That's that richness that you know that you can't put no weight on it, you can't put no value on it. You know, when one is truly centered in God. That's the truth of prosperity, because when that happens, then our relationships are prosperous, right? When that happens, our emotions, you know, they're prosperous, they're flourishing. That's it. That's it. It it does, you know, it's the value of the relationship between you and the Lord, or myself and and the Lord. The relationship, the value of it is priceless. And so when we make that connection, when we make that commitment to serve him, to seek him, oh my goodness, he satisfied. I mean, he loves, and we talked about this. He loves when we when we love him, he loves the intimacy, that's what makes us rich. Okay. Um in Matthew, it says, seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and then all these things shall be added. I wish above all things that you would prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. So it is God Himself who grants us humans, he gives us a divine power, a divine capacity to create wealth. It comes from the Lord and the Lord alone. When we look at um, when we look at the you know, really, really, I love studying Hebrew, ancient Hebrew, um, and really getting understanding of the word of God through the original language, through the Hebrew thought. It's so imperative for us to really go back and examine the Hebrew thought, uh, you know, um, how uh in context what the Lord is saying in text, in scripture, so we have a full understanding. That helps us too to further develop our relationship with the Lord when we clearly understand what he's saying to us. Let he that hath an ear hear what the spirit, what the word is saying to the church. What is he saying to us in this passage of scripture? Um, to remember, it's the Lord who enabled you, it's the Lord who uh gifted you with the skill, it's the Lord who uh has given you the gifting and the talent, it's the Lord. All the good things come from him, so remember him. It's not you, it's it's not me, it but remember it is the Lord, and so do you know, acknowledging your gifting, your skill set in humility, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, and he'll take your skills and your gifts and your talents and your capacity, and he will exalt you, he will lift you. Your gifts will make room for you, your gifts will speak for themselves. Come on, jump in. Absolutely. Your gifts will speak for themselves, and you know, remember the Lord. Yes, remember the Lord, you know, and when we go back and we look at the context of that passage of scripture, uh, what is that thing said it's Deuteronomy 818, right? When we go back and we take a look at it, because unfortunately, you know, uh uh that was one of that was problematic with with the ancient Hebrew Israelites, you know, they oftentimes forgot who it was that brought them out of the bondage, who brought them out of that turmoil, who bought them out of that devastation, you know, and they forgot. They forgot. And God is saying, you know, remember, remember me, remember me. It is I who brought you out of that pit, it is I who brought you out of that toxic relationship, it is I who brought you out of that devastation, it is I who brought you out of that addiction, it is I, it is I, it is I, it is I. Remember where you come from in essence. Remember where you come from because unfortunately, a lot of people, you know, they we reach, doctor, we get to a level of success in life, we get to a level of success in life, and we have a tendency to forget where we've come from. We have a tendency to think that we arrived because we're not where we used to be. We have a tendency to think that we have arrived because we're not who we used to be, and God is saying, No, remember, remember, it is I who brought you out. It is I who brought you out for a reason. And when we remember who it was that brought us out, when we remember who it was who saved us, when we remember who it was who healed us, when we remember who it was who delivered us, when we remember, when we remember, right? God, you know, he brings us out so that he can use us. God doesn't just bring us out to be bringing us out because he doesn't have anything else to do, right? God brings us out so that he can use us, so that he can take us to somebody who is where we used to be. You know, all of this is encompassing with remembering who it was who brought us out, right?
SPEAKER_01:Right. Remember, remember the Lord your God. Remember the Lord, you know, He's your savior, He's the lifter of your head, He's the healer of your body.
SPEAKER_00:Remember, remember, we even we even when we look at the word remember, you know, that R E in the front of you know the the prefix remember is to recall, right? Recall, to bring back to mind. Right. Uh to you know, it oh this scripture's coming. Meditate day and night. When you meditate day and night, you'll be like a tree, you'll grow. You'll you your your feet will be planted, you'll be rooted. That brings forth what? It's fruit, it's wealth. You know, you can look at that uh, you know, with the mind of God in different ways to bring forth this fruit in this season, right? And and I believe that many of you here listening, it it this is your season. That's why God has us here, because it's time for us to tap in, to tap into this season, to the time of God, to tap into the gifting and the calling and the purpose of God that is on our lives. It's time to tap in. Oh my goodness, you should text somebody right now and just tell them it's time to tap in to what God has invested in you. It's time to tap in to the to the core of who you really are. It's time to tap in. Stop living on the surface, but oh my god, the deep. Go into the deep things of God, the depths of God, because he wants to take you deeper in him. He wants to reveal to you, my God, really your your really your purpose. And so you you have uh when you wake up, you you wake up uh with vigor. That's one of the the words, and we look at the word power in ancient Hebrew is koa. K-O, that's a long go, koa, a h. K-O-A-H. It it that's the word for power in ancient Hebrew. It's the thought. Here's the thought. The thought is okay, this power we're talking about in Deuteronomy 8.18, the power to give wealth or to obtain wealth, it is signifies vigor. God will give you the energy you need. When we operate in the gifts and the skills and the talent that God has bestowed upon us, we don't get worn out. Right. It's when we work for other people, working their vision, working their business, working their ideas. That will wear you out. But when you operate in, oh my God, what God has gifted you to do, your personal skill that God has strategically created in you, you'll have the vigor that it takes to produce wealth. You'll have the vigor that it takes to go through the process to produce what God has placed in you. And not only that, when you operate in what God has anointed you to do, there's a force with that. There's a force behind it. My God, it's the force, it's the hand of God that will force the gifting of what you created to go forth out. What God has put on you, can I cannot go? What God has put on you is not just for your house, it's not just for your four walls, it's not just for your street, your neighborhood, your block, your city, your state, your country. What God has anointed and called you to do, what God has purposed for us to do, it goes beyond borders, it goes beyond waters. You have a universal gifting on your life, and it's time for you to tap in and recognize what God has called you to, the capacity and the strength. Come on. That's it right there. It's time to tap in, my Lord. There's nothing more to be said. It's time to tap in, it's time to tap into what God has put in you. It's time to awaken. God is God is is is summoning his people to awaken. Awaken to what he has put in you, awaken to the truth of your identity. Because, in essence, that's what it is. What God has put in us, that's the truth of our identity. That's who we are. What God has put in us, that's who we are, that's our identity. And you know, going back to remember, remember, right? God again, he brings us out, people of God. He brings us out because he wants to take us someplace. And what he wants to take us someplace to fulfill. And what he wants us to fulfill is that which he has put in us. He put in us for us to fulfill. Amen. He put in us for us to fulfill. I'm gonna say it one more time. He put in us for us to fulfill what you have on the inside of you. He has placed it in you because he wants you to fulfill. He brought you out for purpose, he brought you out to fulfill your destiny, he brought you out because he wants to use you, he brought you out because he has called you, he brought you out because he has anointed you, he brought you out because he has appointed you, he brought you out because he has need to use you, he brought you out because there's some people that he wants to send you to. He brought you out because this is your time, this is your season, this is your year. The door is opening up. God brought you out because this is the year that he's opening up that door for you to walk through. Walk through it, walk through the door. This is your time, this is your moment, this is your divine moment. Hear this word, hear this prophetic utterance coming through this airway to bless your life, to help you, to lift you, to encourage you, to empower you. And so we look again, intercessor, at Koa, K-O-A-H, Koa, uh, that word uh power. Oh my goodness, this is the this is so uh fascinating because when we look at it, you you said a word. You said, uh, what was that word that you said? Let me grab it. Let me grab it. You said fulfill, all right. So he's given us the power, he's given you the koa to fulfill his purpose. He's given you the power, he's given you the koa to fulfill his covenant, to fulfill, he's called us to fulfill his promises that he's promised us. He's gifted you to fulfill the promise on your life, right? You have the koa to fulfill the promise on that's on your life. The what you've been waiting for, the promise, the promises of God on your life. You have the you have the koa to fulfill it, to fulfill it. God has given it, He's granted it, He's graced you with it. And so here we are as we close. Divine empowerment, that's what it's called. You have divine empowerment. Hear us, come on, say it with me in a second. You have divine empowerment, you have that. He gives you the koa. Remember, God gives you the koa, my lord, to get wealth, but it takes us. We must uh to to obtain it, we must obtain the promise, my God, through skill, through effort and God's wisdom. Through skill, through your efforts and God's wisdom. Peace be to you, peace be to your house, and peace be to all you have.
