Alex Killeen
Alex Killeen is the Director of Zero Emissions Vehicles (ZEV) Strategy Implementation for the ACT Government. Rooted in physics and mechanical engineering, Alex drives Canberra’s transition toward net-zero emissions by 2045.
Since joining the government in 2019, he helped secure 100% renewable electricity for the ACT before pivoting to transport decarbonisation. Today, he leads government fleet electrification, expands public charging networks past 250 bays, and helped push Canberra to a historic 34% milestone for new ZEV registrations.
A pioneer in grid integration, Alex led the ARENA-funded REVS project to test vehicle-to-grid (V2G) capabilities. He also facilitated the ACT becoming the first Australian jurisdiction to sign the Drive to Zero Global MoU for heavy vehicles. He is a frequent speaker at events like MOVE Australia and the EV Infrastructure Summit.
