This Christmas season, if your life feels full, noisy, or far from peaceful, this episode is for you.

In Episode 26 of Real Moms, Real Faith, Jenna Marie Masters reminds moms of a truth straight from the manger: no room does not mean no Jesus. The Christmas story shows us a God who chooses to be found in unexpected places—messy places, inconvenient places, overwhelming places… places that look a lot like your December.

Through a powerful story from “Chapel on Wheels” and a fresh look at Luke 2, Jenna encourages you that Jesus is still findable today—in the dirty dishes, the crowded calendar, the complicated family dynamics, and the moments you feel stretched thin. He has never needed a perfect room… only a seeking heart.

If you’re longing to feel close to Jesus this season, this episode will remind you exactly where to look.

Welcome And Core Promise

This is Jenna Marie Masters with the Real Mom's Real Faith Podcast. I am so glad you're here so you can be encouraged to trust God with all the things one day at a time. Hi, welcome back. It's episode 26.

No Room Does Not Mean No Jesus

SPEAKER_00

If the Christmas story teaches us anything about God, it's that he's always findable to anyone who searches for him. That includes you and people you love, even people that don't want to find him. So the question is: are you in a place to find him right now? This episode is for every mom who feels like there's no time for quiet, there's no time for rest, there's no time to add anything else to my schedule in this season. And that means I'm having trouble making room for Jesus too. No room does not mean no Jesus. Remember, the angel told the shepherds in Luke 2, you will find him wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. Find him. Not in the palace, not in the temple, not in a place that smelled like cinnamon and pine and all the wonderful things from Peter Joe's, but in a feeding trough, in a cave among animals, and in a place that would make most of us moms say, Oh, absolutely not, right? But that's where God chose to be found. Because he wanted to make sure that every person, the rich, the poor, the forgotten, the exhausted, the overwhelmed, the ones with no room left in their lives, could reach him. This is gorgeous. And consider this later on, this baby Jesus grew up, and then he says, Seek me and you will find me. That's Matthew 7, 7 through 8.

Jesus Is Findable For Everyone

Jesus echoed his birth announcement. He repeated the promise. If you look for me, I will be found. This truth really hit me hard a couple years ago. I was teaching chapel on wheels. And for those of you who haven't

heard of it, it's a little trailer that will go to public schools, and you're not allowed to teach the Bible in the school. But they will allow you to put your trailer up against the curb, like 12 inches from the curb, you are allowed to speak the name of Jesus. These trailers, you guys, they were they were hot, they were super stinky. There was always a kid who had like an egg salad sandwich that would open it up in this little trailer and make everybody feel like they had to gag. It was, it was actually pretty nasty. But these were kids who gave up their lunch recess and they would trek out to this little metal box on wheels because they were searching for Jesus. You might think most of these kids came from Christian families, but they didn't. And I remember thinking as cars would drive by and the trailer would shake and the smells from the hot lunches were coming up into my nose. Ladies' kids were throwing food at each other. I literally got hit by a grape one time. And I remember thinking, is Jesus really going to show up in a place like this? And he did. He totally did. It changed my perspective when I would go home to my house and it was messy and loud. And I thought, if Jesus can show up in a trailer on the side of Rose Drive, he can show up in these dirty dishes. He can show up in this argument. He can show up while I'm searching for this lost sock if I want to find him. And one day, this woman from South Africa peeked inside our little trailer and she was confused and she was like, Is this a church? And I smiled and I said, Well, for 45 minutes, yes, it is. And this woman threw her hands up and she said, Can you believe it? They took God out of the schools and they kicked him out onto the street. And it made me laugh because I promise you, you can't kick God out of anywhere. Satan has been pretending for centuries that we can remove God. But God comes when he wants to come, and God will be where he wants to be. Joseph and Mary were told there was no room for Jesus in the end. But guess what? Like I said, no room did not mean no Jesus. He still came. And he's still doing this today. Not in the places people expect, right? But in the place people never think to look. Even in that stinky trailer where we have been told over and over again there's no room for Jesus here in public schools. 20 kids gave their lives to Jesus in my trailer that year. Twenty. One little girl actually leapt up out of her seat in the 98 degree heat and she shouted, I have to get baptized, like right now. And at the time, we did not have baptisms for chapel on wheels. And that girl got baptized in my parents' pool that year with 15 other kids. Because no

room does not mean no Jesus. He can be found anywhere, even out on a curb in a metal box. So I want to speak this over to you as a mom. Maybe this Christmas your home feels messy and your schedule feels full and you feel tired and your family probably feels complicated. I think we all have those, don't we? And it always kind of comes out in the holiday seasons, right? Maybe your December feels heavy. And maybe if you're honest, you've wondered, have I made any room for Jesus at all in this season? But hear me. No room does not mean no Jesus. He still comes, he still waits, he still stays close. You know what really strikes me is Joseph and Mary didn't storm away from the

inn in anger. They stayed close to the wall that closed them out because they trusted God would still deliver. Sometimes God calls us to stay close to hard circumstances, to strained relationships, to complicated family dynamics, to places that feel spiritually resistant. Not because they feel good, but because Jesus is coming and he wants to be delivered right there. And sometimes you're the midwife. Sometimes you're the one who gets to bring Jesus into the room that told him no. And this is where I'm going to sidetrack a little bit because I guarantee that everyone listening has someone in their life that does not know Jesus. Someone in their life that is putting up a sign over their head that says, no room at the inn. I just want to encourage you right now, those signs are not keep out signs. Those are keep praying signs. That should be a signal to us as believers to cozy up to that cold curb right outside where they won't let you in and pray and pray and trust that Jesus will come. And not only that, that he is findable when they decide to search for him. Look, this season the world is loud, the lists are long, the expectations are high, right?

Encouragement For Tired Moms

SPEAKER_00

But Jesus is always findable. So my challenge to you this week is to be intentional about searching for Jesus in the quiet moment before the kids wake up, find him. In the messy kitchen, take time to find him. In the car ride, in the grocery store aisle, in the ache that you don't have words for, find him there. Even all the places that you don't expect him to show up. Nobody here is going to argue that Mary wasn't faithful and didn't trust God. But I guarantee there was a part of her mama heart that was thinking, This room doesn't feel right, Jesus. I didn't think I would find you here when she walked into that stable. Sometimes I have to laugh at myself because I'm not usually saying there's no room for you in my life, Jesus. But I do find myself saying, You're in the wrong room, Jesus. I'm looking over here and you're not here. And I get frustrated by it. Why are you in here? Why are you in this room? It's not right. You're supposed to be in the other room. But the truth is, it doesn't matter what room he's in. What matters is, am I searching for him?

Stay Close To Hard Places

SPEAKER_00

Because he promises to be found. This Christmas, I pray you remember Jesus doesn't need a perfect home. He doesn't need a perfect peace. He doesn't need everything in order. He doesn't need the inn to be open. He just needs a seeker. And that can be you, and that can be me. And when we seek him, even with tired eyes and distracted minds, he promises you will find me. The shepherds went looking for Jesus, they found him. The wise men who went looking for Jesus, they found him. The lepers, the sick, the broken, the sinners, they all found him. He doesn't hide himself from us. So if you're feeling far from Jesus in this season, let me remind you Jesus was first found with a mom in a mess. What a special time to be a mom. What a special season to have kids. Take it all in, enjoy it. If this podcast encouraged you at all, please share it with a friend this week. Hop on to Apple Podcasts if you could and give me a rating and review that helps other moms find the podcast. And I just really praying that you all can soak in this holiday season and that somehow your mind can slow down and remember all of the sweet moments you're having with your kids right now. Because it is a gift. Merry,
