Thanks be to God, we have a pope! With gratitude and love, we welcome pope Leo XIV. We join together as a Church, walking together toward the homeland he has prepared for us. As a son of Saint Augustine, the pope carries in his heart a special spirituality marked by the rule and teachings of Saint Augustine, which we will undoubtedly see in his pontificate. Commit to reading our pope's words without intermediaries!
I end by reading a sermon given by St. Augustine on the anniversary of his ordination. This sermon is of great significance to pope Leo.
