Are you feeling misaligned despite following all the "right" steps toward your goals? This powerful conversation unveils why your internal guidance system might be in conflict with your logical mind – and why that inner voice deserves your attention.

Most of us approach life with traditional goal-setting: identify targets, create plans, prepare for obstacles, and set timelines. But what if fulfillment comes not from pursuing external achievements but from developing our character first? Drawing on video game analogies, we explore how focusing on leveling up our "attribute bars" – patience, honesty, obedience, and other divine qualities – prepares us for the roles we're truly meant to fill.

Unlike conventional wisdom that prioritizes hustle and grind, this approach suggests that God opens doors only when we've developed the character necessary for what's next. By systematically addressing character flaws and growing into our "heavenly human" potential, we not only find personal fulfillment but become Ambassadors of Hope in a world that desperately needs it.

If you're at a crossroads or feeling called to something deeper, this perspective might be the missing piece that transforms your relationship with purpose, ambition, and spiritual growth. Ready to level up your character and discover where your fully-developed 99-point attributes might lead you?

Speaker 1:

Man, I feel like this is a dope yes, and episode to piggyback just how I've been feeling internal guidance system and how sometimes it conflicts with your logical mind, but you got to follow it to reach your dreams. Let's take a listen.

Speaker 2:

You have an internal guidance system and, like I think that might be part of why a lot of people feel misalignment, is because their internal guidance system is like leading them somewhere else and their logical mind is saying nope, nope nope. And, like that guidance system is going to keep after you until you make some changes or until you make some bold choices.

Speaker 1:

It's because my framework, or the agreements that I've made with God on how I am going to step into a better version of myself to be ready for what's next, conflicts with the traditional hustle, grit, grind, go after a thing to reach fulfillment. And so let me unpack this a little bit. So one of the biggest challenges of understanding that I have with other humans, when we just talk about life in general, is their approach versus my approach. Again, their approach is not right or wrong. My approach is not right or wrong. It's just what fits for us independently. But typically the approach is here is my goal and my goal is a mile away. Here is my goal and my goal is a mile away, and I am going to prep and plan to reach this goal. That is a mile away, and when these challenges come up, I have already built Certain responses to respond to these challenges and I expect to reach this goal that's a mile away in two years. And like that's very standard goal setting behavior and in conversations that I've been having, I've been sharing that I've spent the majority of my life opting into those traditional goal setting standards, but I've made a choice to completely shift my approach and it looks more like this. It looks more like me evolving into the character, the avatar, like.

Speaker 1:

Like when I think of a video game, it's just like yo build your creative character first, level up your attribute bars. Meaning, typically in a video game it's like some fighting game and it's like what's your speed, what's your power, what's your defense? Right. But for me it's what is your level of patience, what is your level of obedience, what is your level of honesty, what is your level of right? And so for many years I felt like my attribute bars were somewhere between 80 and 90. I felt like I did a really good job of key qualities that align with good guy characters. But in these last three years I was like oh okay, god, I feel like you're not calling me to go pursue something external. You're molding me and you're challenging me to grow those divine attribute bars. So they are as close as I can get to 99. Right, right, like all of those Character bars that had some glaring flaws IE my selfishness being one I needed to work on those things and reconcile those things. So they were somewhere near the 99 percentile. And if I continue to endure and build those character bars, so they are all at 99, or as close as God needs them to be for me. Then Then the assignment, the seat the role that needs a character needs an avatar to sit in it that has all 99s across. Well, that seat would just be available. Right? It's like you know, this game is me versus me. Right, it's like you know, this game is me versus me.

Speaker 1:

And every day I need to drop a grain of healthy sand into these attribute bars until I get to ninety nines across the board. Like I hope that makes sense, like I have to say no to so many things that are good, because I'm doing my best to grow my character into something that's great. And once I become that great character meaning all the things that are unseen when I step into that role that God has designed for me, I will be ready, I will be fully equipped. So the reason why I tell this story for you, for you who may be pause and pivoting to reach this new level of fulfillment, I am challenging you to reflect on your character and those flaws that you may have in your character, and just hyper focus on those things that you know. You need to elevate those things that are unseen.

Speaker 1:

Rather it's doubt, or insecurity, or selfishness, or a gambling habit, or a lack of appreciation to the people around you. Like there's certain things that are like super small and to most may be insignificant, but for you, you know, your standard is so much higher, you know that you recognize these gaps in your character, like they're clear to you and God's just like, yeah, let's just go work on those things. And once you work on those things, I'll literally open the door for you to experience the next stage of your life. But I am not going to open that door until you grow into the best version of yourself, into the heavenly human version of yourself. Like, really like I feel like part of my call to action as a human Is being an ambassador for this new standard of character. Heavenly human and those heavenly humans infuse hope Into this human story. Hope, hope into this human story. Hope Because they are merciful, because they are pure in heart, because they are peacemakers that lead with grace. They are ambassadors of hope.
