Hey, it's Laura. Welcome to your peak of the week on this special 4th of July holiday. So I'm trying not to lose my cool, but I'm going to be really honest with you. It is still kind of surreal that this book, shine Brighter, is going to be released into the world in a matter of about three weeks, and some of you are already reading a copy, which just warms my heart. I have gotten so many messages from those reading this advanced reader copy that are part of my Shine Brighter book launch team. I just cannot thank you enough. You are my supporters and I just I am in awe of everything that's going down, and so let's get into it. This is the week's, this week's message.

So this week, as we celebrate independence, I'm thinking about a different kind of freedom, the kind that comes from finally listening to that voice. You know that voice inside that's been trying to get your attention. You know that feeling that whispers. That whispers during your morning commute, that tugs at you during another quarterly review, keeps you awake scrolling your phone. It's subtle, but it's persistent. It's a quiet ache beneath achievements, beneath performance. It's a restlessness that nothing really can shake. It's like this constant thing that's in the background. That feeling it's not a problem. Think about this. It's not a problem to be fixed, it's an indicator. This is an indicator. This is your inner wisdom, call it instinct, call it God, call it your higher self, call it, whatever your belief system is. But this is telling you that success without soul alignment will always feel hollow. So many executives that I work with tell me something is wrong with them for feeling this way. You know I should be grateful. They say I have everything I wanted and more. But here's what I've learned after working with so many high achievers myself one of them You're not broken, you're just misaligned. And that nagging feeling it's not your enemy, it's your invitation to declare independence from a life that looks good but doesn't actually feel like yours.

So I want to tell you a quick story about Melissa. She was a quintessential, high-achieving executive, a marketing leader at a major corporation. She had the impressive title, she had the recognition, she had checked all of the traditional success boxes, but something wasn't right. I was struggling with being fully present with my family, especially my kids. She told me Same thing with my job I was just going through the motions. When you do that long enough, you kind of go numb. Even though I made it to the top, I still wondered is this it? Her reality looked like this Constant digital tethering to work even during holidays. Achievement without fulfillment or deeper purpose, self-worth dangerously intertwined with job title and status, that nagging feeling of inauthenticity.

Speaker 1:

When Melissa's company announced it was closing and her position was being eliminated, she found herself in what she describes as panic and loss. Having tied so much of her identity to her career, she was terrified. But here's where the story gets beautiful. Instead of ignoring that nagging feeling or pushing through another corporate role, melissa chose to lean into discomfort. I repeat, lean into discomfort. Okay, there's something coming to you right now. There's something coming to you. What is it? What is that asking you? It's going to be uncomfortable, but this is what Melissa did. She leaned into it. She listened to what her soul had been whispering all along. Through our work together, she began to reconnect with her core values, reconnect with her natural gifts that had been overshadowed by corporate demands or perhaps just not really recognized. We mapped her values across all aspects of life, examined her beliefs about success and discovered a more powerful version of herself hidden beneath workplace expectations. Many of us are addicted to work here and when we lose a job or a title or some sort of status, we lose ourself. So this is where we have to examine our beliefs about what success actually means and redefine what that means.

Speaker 1:

A pivotal moment came during a holiday break with her family at their cabin. For the first time in years, melissa experienced genuine presence with her family, genuine presence, free from guilt and the pull of work obligations. I remember, for the first time in a long time, maybe the first time since having kids true presence and overwhelming peace with the way things were just as they were In four months. Four months, melissa's life transformed. For her career, she launched a successful marketing consultancy. She secured her first strategic project ahead of her expectations. Family deepened presence with children. Family deepened presence with children becoming a role model to her daughters for entrepreneurship Mindset. She developed the capacity to approach challenges with gratitude. See it another way these challenges are an invitation. These challenges are an invitation to an elevated version of you. She achieved long-term nutrition goals. She proactively built some additional, really meaningful connections, and then they restructured some finances. Meaningful connections, and then they restructured some finances.

Speaker 1:

Now I know not everyone is called to this. I know that. I know that, but part of why I get to come into your ears right now is because you're here, too, for a reason. You know it. You absolutely know it too, for a reason, you know it, you absolutely know it To redefine success in your family, what that means to your family. If you want to make a change, there's always a way. You just need to see it from another perspective.

Speaker 1:

What Melissa discovered, and what I see with every client I am privileged to work with, is that this nagging feeling, this is not a bug in your system. This is a feature. It is your inner compass pointing you towards a life that feels as good on the inside as it looks on paper. Remember, discomfort Yep, that discomfort, yep. That's not a sign you're failing. That's a sign you're ready and I am clapping my hands and I'm jumping up and down and I'm like, yes, ready to stop performing and start living like your true nature, who you really are? Are you ready to build something that honors your ambition and your soul, something that honors your ambition and your soul? Are you ready to show your kids and yourself what's possible when you align your actions with your deepest truth? I seriously pinch myself that I get to witness these transformations. There's nothing I live for more than being part of someone's journey from misalignment to integration, this integration of their true soulful self.

Speaker 1:

If you are listening to this and you're like, oh my gosh, laura, I feel so broken. This is not brokenness, this is victory. This is being broken. This is not. This is not brokenness. This is victory. This is being aware, this is a calling. You are not alone. I am here as a woman who talks to so many people, so many people, so many people. I am here to tell you you are not alone. I am here to tell you you are not alone If you're feeling the shift, this quiet, knowing you're meant for something different or something more, and you're finally ready to do something about it. Oh my gosh, please, for the love, please, reach out to me. This is what I live for. I want to hear from you. I mean it. Text us, go to my website, send a message, lauraekingcom, you are not alone. What if this is your moment to finally honor what your soul has been whispering? Honor what your soul has been whispering. I dare you. I dare you to reach out.

Speaker 1:

There's so many resources and there's so many people that want to help, but guess what? You have to take full responsibility. Success is always going to be about achieving ultimate harmony, building a thriving career while being present, not living in your head, being present for what matters most. You do not have to choose between impact and alignment. There's always another way.

Speaker 1:

And let me tell you, I was misaligned of them all, so misaligned, not present at all, missing it, missing the moments, missing the moments with my kids, missing the moments with my husband, missing the moments with my friends, missing so many moments because I was so addicted to proving myself and proving myself and proving myself. For what this unrealistic version? Actually, it wasn't even my version, it was like a made up version that I believe I was only worthy if. But when you change that, when you flip that and you say, oh my gosh, I came here to experience the most amazing time, full of peace, full of abundance, full of love, full of joy, and when you really think about the interactions in your day that are the most fulfilling, they're filled with the most love. They're filled with the most love and we have been in fear, in lack and separation, for far too long.

Speaker 1:

So I'm here to remind you that that is not, that does not need to be, your future. You are that powerful to choose a new intention. I'm just so excited that you're here, I'm so excited that you're opening your eyes and I'm very proud of you for doing the work. I'm very proud of you for doing the work because this is probably the most important work you're going to do of your lifetime and it's going to impact so many people. But the most important person is you, because you deserve an awesome life, a thriving life, and to experience the absolute most joy possible Peace.
