Heavenly Human
Welcome to the Heavenly Human podcast where we help you pause and pivot toward true fulfillment.
Have you ever felt that stirring deep inside — that quiet voice telling you there's something more for your life? That feeling that despite all your success, something still feels missing?
We’ve been there. We are you. Three years ago, co-host Laura King was at the peak of her career as an Executive Recruiter. On paper, she had it all. Awards, accolades, and a healthy bank account. But each night, she’d come home feeling slightly off, a bit disconnected, and wondering, "Is this it?"
In 2023, it all came crashing down with a triple diagnosis - severe anxiety, ADHD, and sleep issues. Her body was screaming what her heart had been whispering for years. There was another path. There was another way of being.
Co-host Mondo experienced a similar calling. Three years ago, he was living what many would consider the dream — a successful startup founder with a six-figure lifestyle. Then, his heart called him to something radical: surrendering 99% of his material possessions to pursue a completely different path.
What Laura and Mondo both discovered through deep conversations, healing, tears, breakthroughs, and countless moments of growth was that we were being called to our unique sliver of Heaven on Earth — what we now call, Heavenly Human.
We've now joined forces to create this podcast, sharing what we've learned with other believers who feel that same nudge toward something more meaningful. We're here to guide you toward fulfillment through the embodiment of heaven on earth.
Peace, Love, Joy, Freedom, Abundance.
It’s all waiting for you.
"Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."

The productivity trap that’s keeping you exhausted
Are you exhausted from chasing achievement after achievement, yet still feeling empty? You're not alone. This raw and vulnerable episode explores the widespread belief that fulfillment comes from doing more.
The truth? Fulfillment isn't hiding under another layer of achievement; it's waiting to be uncovered beneath the layers you've already built. Through my Four A's framework - Awareness, Attitude, Action, and Alignment - I guide you through the shift from endless striving to authentic becoming. Instead of adding something new to your life, what would happen if you brought more of your authentic self to what you're already doing?
When you stop performing and allow yourself to truly be you, even in small ways at first, you don't just find fulfillment - you become a source of it for everyone around you. Your path to fulfillment isn't about becoming someone new - it's about having the courage to let who you really are shine through everything you choose to do. Listen to that part of you.

Hey, it's Laura. Welcome to this week's Peak of the Week. You might notice I'm not as, maybe, chipper as past weeks. I'm tired, to be honest, I am tired and I know I'm not the only one. I know I'm not the only one. So if you're feeling a little weary, if you are feeling a little like I need a break, I am right there with you. In fact, I, in the middle of the day today, went out on my front lawn and I just laid in my grass just for five minutes and the sunshine just on me. That was enough to just lift my spirits a little bit. So, whatever you need to do for yourself, I give you full permission, full permission.
Speaker 1:Today's Peak of the Week, we are talking about the myths of what success is, and this one is all about fulfillment. Like does fulfillment come from? Doing more, achieving more, what do you think? I meet a lot of people in my job in my day, so I sift through lots of patterns, and I recently had lunch with a friend and she shared something that I know is prevalent and pretty pervasive. She holds a senior position at a consulting practice, she volunteers on two non-profit boards, she mentors two junior colleagues and she recently started a podcast and when I asked her how she was feeling about everything, she paused. And when I asked her how she was feeling about everything, she paused. It sounded a little something like this Laura, I thought if I just did more, achieved, more, became more visible in my field, I'd finally feel like enough. But I'm exhausted all the time. My family barely sees me and, honestly, I feel more empty than I did when I started.
Speaker 1:Oh, this one hits close to home. She'd fallen into the more trap, the belief that fulfillment comes from adding layers and more things to who you are, instead of uncovering who you already are. It's slowly stealing the souls of so many capable people. So what's the myth? The myth is fulfillment comes from doing more. Fulfillment comes from achieving more. More credentials will make you feel credible. More responsibilities will make you feel important. More recognition will make you feel worthy. Ignition will make you feel worthy. More impact will make you feel fulfilled. So we stack qualification on top of qualification. We say yes to opportunity after opportunity. We stretch ourselves thinner and thinner, believing that somewhere on the other side of more, we'll finally find what we're looking for. But you know the truth the fulfillment you're seeking is in hiding under another layer of achievement. It's waiting to be uncovered beneath the layers you've already built.
Speaker 1:When was the last time you felt genuinely fulfilled? Not a temporary high of accomplishment or a fleeting satisfaction of recognition, but that deep, steady sense of goodness that comes from being exactly who you're meant to be. That comes from being exactly who you're meant to be. If you're struggling to remember, it's not because you haven't achieved enough. It's because you've been looking for yourself in all the wrong places. True fulfillment doesn't come from doing more. It comes from becoming more of who you already are.
Speaker 1:As I discussed in my book Shine Brighter, I've developed a framework that helps high achievers make the shift from endless striving to authentic becoming. It's called the four A's, and if you know them, shout them Awareness, attitude, action, alignment. Here's how it works. Here's how it works Awareness See what's really happening.
Speaker 1:The first step is getting honest about your current pattern. Are you adding more to your life because it genuinely energizes you or because you think it will finally make you feel worthy? Start noticing when do you feel most like like yourself? What activities make you lose track of time? When do you feel energized versus drained? My friend, she realized that, despite all of her commitments. The only time she felt truly alive was during the strategic planning sessions she facilitated. Everything else was just noise, attitude, shift your relationship with enough. This is where we challenge the core belief driving the more addiction, the idea that you're not enough as you are. Instead of asking what else can I achieve, start asking what would it look like to fully express who I already am. Instead of how can I do more, ask how could I do what matters most from my authentic center Action. Make aligned choices. Now here comes the hard part Actually saying no. Actually saying no to opportunities that don't align with your authentic self, even when they look good on paper. My friend resigned from one of her board positions and turned down several speaking opportunities. Scary Maybe, sure, but it creates space for her to go deeper in the areas that were actually lighting her up. And then alignment, integration to your authentic self.
Speaker 1:The final step is bringing your whole authentic self to everything you choose to keep. No more compartmentalizing, no more performing different versions of yourself for different audiences. When you're aligned, you don't need to do more things to feel fulfilled. You need a deeper expression of who you truly are, your micro move. For this week you ready? You ready to test this out? Pick one area of your life where you've been trying to do more to feel fulfilled, instead of adding something new. Ask yourself what would it look like to bring more of my authentic self to what I'm already doing? Maybe that means having more genuine conversations with your team instead of networking with more people. So, instead of going to spread yourself thin and meet more people, go deeper with the people you already know. Maybe it means going deeper with current clients instead of chasing new ones. Maybe it means saying no to one commitment so you can show up more fully for what remains. Try one experiment in authentic expression this week. See what shifts when you stop adding layers and start uncovering who you really are.
Speaker 1:Your job is not to become someone else. It's having the courage to let who you really are shine through everything you choose to do. And that kind of authenticity it's magnetic. It draws the right opportunities, the right people, the right kind of success to you. When you stop performing and really think and really allow yourself to be you in all of the environments, or maybe even in some of the environments. Maybe just start small. You don't just find fulfillment. You become a source for everyone around you Because your energy is more in alignment.
Speaker 1:You're not trying to be something you're not. You're not pushing, striving More, more, more, do, do, do. This is about less chasing, less chasing. The world needs what you have when you give it from your true self, not a fake version of you, the one that feels good, the one that feels like an exhale. Just know you are not alone. Please know many high achievers are discovering that the answer isn't just adding more to your schedule, doing more, but it's wow, if I were in alignment with myself.
Speaker 1:What can I let go of? What can I say no to? What feels more like a hell? Yes, and you feel that in your body. As my mentor from afar, mr Brendan Burchard, always says he's like you. Wow, I just lost. I just totally lost that thought. All right, guys. Well, that is a true reflection of where my brain is right now. Guess what? It needs rest. It needs rest. I remember it now. You need to feel the day again. You need to feel the day again. Too many of us have just been going through the motions on autopilot and we don't feel the day. What would that feel like? Just resonate on that, just think on that. Just resonate on that, just think on that and know that I believe in your magnificence.
