#31: Kassi Ashton & Travis Myatt

Kassi Ashton is a Nashville-based country singer-songwriter from California, Missouri. A graduate of Belmont University’s School of Music, she signed with UMG Nashville and Interscope Records in 2017 and released her debut single, “Dates in Pickup Trucks,” in 2019. Her music blends the soulfulness of Amy Winehouse and Adele with the grit of country legends like Loretta Lynn and Reba McEntire, earning her a reputation for bold storytelling and authenticity. Kassi has shared stages with stars like Maren Morris, Jamey Johnson, Parker McCollum and continues to rise as one of country music’s most unique new voices.

Travis Myatt is a Nashville-based publishing executive known for his work behind the scenes in the country music industry. He became engaged to country artist Kassi Ashton in 2022, proposing in Key West on the pier where they first met. Travis is often described by Kassi as her “most supportive” and “open-minded” partner, encouraging her creative journey while bringing his own music business expertise to the table. Together, the couple represents both the artistry and the industry sides of modern country music.
