Origin teams drop and suddenly everyone becomes a selector, but some calls are still impossible to defend. We kick off with the biggest head-scratcher: how a wrecking-ball edge forward like Haumole Olakau’atu can be tearing up the NRL, posting monster post-contact metres, and still miss the New South Wales Blues top 19. From there we get stuck into what Origin coaches seem to prioritise, why certain systems fail to use game-breakers, and the backline choices that could decide the series.

Then it’s into the weekend’s club footy: Manly Sea Eagles vs South Sydney Rabbitohs, the early wobble, the moments that flipped it, and the controversies everyone argued about on the way home. We break down the corner grounding debate, the “what even is control?” frustration around play-the-ball incidents, and why blaming two calls can hide a much bigger performance problem. We also talk Manly’s attack looking clunky at times, what changes when Turbo returns, and who misses out when your best spine is back on deck.

The rest of the NRL form guide is just as wild: Penrith Panthers hanging 68 on the Wests Tigers, the Brisbane Broncos looking disjointed despite talent everywhere, Melbourne Storm surviving Newcastle Knights while still leaking too much on the edges, and the ripple effect of Xavier Coates’ season-ending Achilles injury. We wrap up with Sharks vs Dragons, a quick Dolphins check-in, and our NRL Round 15 tips across a round full of byes where every result feels magnified. If you’ve got a strong take on the Blues, the 68-0 blowout, or the best upset this week, hit play, share the show, leave a review, and tell us what we got right or wrong.

SPEAKER_00

Hello and welcome to another episode of They've Been Doing It All Day Stuff. Apparently running for 266 meters doesn't get you into the Laurie Dozy team. Let's get stuck in.

SPEAKER_01

We should start with that because it's absolutely outrageous. How is Hamole Olakuatu not being selected in the 19 for the New South Wales Blues? I do not know.

SPEAKER_00

Daylight robbery. Um, like I I agree with what everyone's saying. Fantastic for Dylan Lucas. He's had a good season so far, but he's no homole Olakawatu.

SPEAKER_01

He isn't. He's got to be one of the most informed players in the comp. 100% honest. Best players in the comp at the moment.

SPEAKER_00

He had 140 post-contact meters last week, which is more than every forward had run meters. Like it's it was absolutely ridiculous for the for the rabbit hose. And how you can then drop him, granted, like he he he had such late ball in the first origin that he couldn't really do much. He was getting tackled right at the line. But you've you've learned from this now revamped manly team, given the ball early, he'll fucking cause damage.

SPEAKER_01

Cleary, I don't think either Cleary or Strange have a weapon like Olaquatu to utilise within their system. They're very much, especially Cleary's a very much structured Penrith, like well, run through the middle with our bigger forwards and then try and use our moves and our set plays on the outside. Whereas what what we saw with Olaquatu at the start of the season, where Foggity maybe hadn't got used to what he can do, so wasn't in giving him early ball, wasn't giving him ball at speed. And since he's figured it out, and maybe since a change of coach and attitude and mindset has come in, the geezer has been unstoppable. And when the team was announced, and you hear that the first 19 players, his name ain't mentioned, and his name number 20, you're a bit like, what is going on? This is this was look as well. Let's flip it on its head. Happy that he's gonna be fresh for the final game, though.

SPEAKER_00

100%. Um like it was yeah, it's it's it's it's madden. I think Kohler even may even even back up uh because because it's the on the on the Saturday. Um, but he I just don't understand this team selection. Um he I think they're very naive to the fact that New South Wales only won that game because of going down for Queensland went down to to 12. Yeah, they were shocking in the first half, they they did their best to try and lose it in the in the in the in the second.

SPEAKER_01

If it wasn't for a miracle from Tedesco as well.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and I I I've said this to anyone that would like Nwinga Nitawase, he's been he's been brought into the into the team. How he's not starting, I do not know.

SPEAKER_01

The guy's a magician, right? You see what he did, he came back from his Liz Frank injury or whatever it was, and he just absolutely touted the fucking raiders. They they didn't have an answer for him, they couldn't stop him. He's one of the biggest bodies on the field playing on the wing. He's athletically a machine, he's a monster, a magician, he's absolutely everything. Yet he Stephen Crichton was named after him, he's been terrible. I know obviously he comes out, and Brian Totter, who made three mistakes that led to tries in the first game as well. I don't know how he does it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I I would have I'd have stuck it with that selection, Casey McLean on one wing, no one would need to wase on the other, stags and cola in at the in at the centres. And if you've got Mitch Moses starting, who absolutely ripped um ripped Queensland to bits in that MCG game in 2004 with Lomax on on what on one wing made I think set Selwyn Carbo still has fucking nightmares about Lomax all over him. Like if you're gonna have such a kicking threat and from a game like Moses, you then put the bodies on there who are gonna be who are gonna who are gonna be utilised for it. It's just such a poor team selection.

SPEAKER_01

I also one that I don't really get, I don't know Tyrrell May must have done something in a past life because Mitch Barnett, again, I thought was in game one was fairly slow in the first 20 minutes that you needed him. He was turning into contact, he wasn't running aggressively. Tyrell May, yeah, alright, the Tigers got absolutely towered up, and we got into that in a bit. But he's someone that runs forward and he and like he's proven that he's aggressive, loves to run with the ball, loves to get involved a bit, and I don't know. I just feel even Jackson Ford, I don't know what the geezer's got to do to sniff.

SPEAKER_00

I don't get the bench either. You've got Cam Murray on there, you've got Victor Radley, you've got Fanoah Blake, and you've got Upy Carousel. So who's gonna who's coming on and going into the front row? So you've got Fanua Blake coming into the front front row, right? Yeah, brilliant. So when Barnett comes on, who's going in for him? Victor Radley again, Cam Murray?

SPEAKER_01

Like Radley came on at prop last time though, didn't he?

SPEAKER_00

After yeah, so solid solid game, but like you've got massive bodies there in the in the wing in the wings waiting to be be in this. And who knows? I I don't I they need they need to they need to come out swinging if they got any chances to winning this because if they if they lose this and then have to go up to quit to Queensland.

SPEAKER_01

Winning it in Queensland will be difficult, but look, we'll get on to that one next week. Um we've both been ill this week, I think. Both been significantly ill. Uh I've been on antibiotics, had tonsillitis, and it sounds like you've been oh I've just had a massive massive cold, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I was I've been I've had the flu, I've been in bed, bed for the last few days.

SPEAKER_01

Like yeah, because you didn't make it you didn't make it to Fospines Park last Thursday, did you? No, no, no.

SPEAKER_00

That that's how sick, you know I am. I was I was sat here wrapped up in the uh having a lempsit. Having a lempsit watching it. Um but but yeah, might as well get into it then.

SPEAKER_01

It was a pleasure watching Homole Ola Kawatu absolutely tear through the South Sydney rabbit hose, and um obviously Fospines Park, it um was renamed, revamped, the KFC in Manley Vale was given the big one as well. There was a lot going on, and for the first 10 minutes I was worried that they weren't gonna turn up for the game when we went 8-0 down.

SPEAKER_00

I was a bit nervy, wasn't it?

SPEAKER_01

A bit like oh, what's going on here? And then um one thing that came out of this game though is there was a few controversial decisions. Yes, yes, there was a few controversial decisions. What's your take on the try over in the corner? What what it's not a try, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You you you break the there's there's two frames there's the one where the ball is just uh hovering above above the ground, but then again, this is this all comes down to the definition of what the fuck a grounding is. Yeah, is it as soon as it touches grass, it's grounded. But anyway, you pair it side by side with the one behind, you can clearly see daylight underneath the ball, and then the next frame when the ball is grounded, the ball's in touch, so it's it's it's not a try. Like to be fair, I could have seen it gone either way.

SPEAKER_01

For me, it's like again, it's the definitions of when a try is. I do believe the ball is actually touching grass before it then touches the line. But for me, a try needs to be scored when there's downward pressure on the ball, and downward pressure on the ball is when it touches that white line, so it shouldn't have been a try. Um, as for the Ben Troboyovich one, I I said it live. I was sitting next to the geezer that we that we go to Manley with, and I went, he's just fumbled that player of the ball, and he went, Yeah, I think he has too. And then we went and scored, and it's like, oh no, they're gonna go back and review it, and then they can't review the player of the ball for some reason.

SPEAKER_00

Adam Ghee came out and said it live. He was like, he never he never lost control of the ball. It's this it was the stick on his ass. Is the stick is the stickiness? Uh I I I don't know. But like I I got my own fucking opinion on what a knock-on is and what isn't in within this sport anyway. Um that one you he he does technically, does he does he lose control of it? Well, yes, open palm. Yeah, it's I don't know if you can lose control of an open palm. It's normally when the ball fumbles forward, that's when it is, but where is that?

SPEAKER_01

Just went up and down, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Like it's but the biggest thing that I'll take away from this, if Rabbit Hose fans think that because of those two decisions they lost that game, they need their head wobbling because they were poor, they were poor, yeah. They went 8-0 up, but that was off the if the two scores came off the back of two 40-20s, which are incredible kicks. Oh, incredible kicks, absolutely incredible kicks. But other than that, they did absolutely nothing, like their one chance of scoring, and that was the one that was not that didn't count defensively. Manly was solid, come like their speed out of the line. Brandon Wacum, the man just flies out of the line sometimes, no regard for his body and hits everything. Um, Ben Troboitch ball back on the inside actually worked.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it was it was it was quite it was quite nice. Um, but he we I made I read a good point. I think he's he's been suffering with a left shoulder injury, which then makes sense on how we can see the two tries were on his left side. So I think he's made a couple of business decisions there.

SPEAKER_01

It did look like business decision type of material when I can't even remember who who like climate, yeah. Click on the had so much room. I was like, what the fuck's going on here? That was it. It was really surprising. Um, one player that did step up, and I gave him a bit of a rap last week was Nathan Brown when he came off the bench. It's his fucking footwork, it's his hands, man. It's ridiculous. It's crazy how he literally the late step before he goes in, he's so small, so low, and he was getting in a bit of aggro with David Fafita as well. It's pretty good, but he he played pretty well. Um, because what did they do? With aggression, what what what did it do with Fafita? They so he normally plays on the left, but they moved him to the right, so he wasn't against Ah, big man, and that's probably why he got a hundred two a hundred a hundred and thirty-one post-contact meters, I think it was, which is more than some players, which is more than some backs get in a game, which is absolutely overall meters.

SPEAKER_00

So if if if that was in the rabbit o's, I looked earlier. I think if that was in the rabbit O's team as all meters ran, I think he would have been third.

SPEAKER_01

That is nuts, and then he doesn't go and get selected for origin anyway.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know, but yeah, um South is still all not sunshines and raises with the with the with the with Manley though, like there was elements in it again where I think our attack at times looks very disjointed, and I still just think there's a little bit of uh bit of an issue there.

SPEAKER_01

Um Falalo out with hamstring color had to go back to fullback, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Fellow became on that that that sort of changed like so.

SPEAKER_01

Next time we step out into the field, though, we're gonna have a player that everyone keeps their eye on that opens up gaps for everyone.

SPEAKER_00

That's why you need him in the centres. Having Turbo at uh fullback, but but the thing is you say this the two tries Falalo scored have been pretty much off the same play, and people are gonna have to now start buying on him because of how much of a an a threat he is. So if you think of the set plays that that come in the misdirection of a light of lines, you've got one centre of of Kohler on one edge who you have to respect and you have you have to big time, you have to you have to buy into, and then you've got Turbo the other centre. Like, there's gonna be gaps being created everywhere.

SPEAKER_01

There will be, but I don't think Falalo is going to be back. Like, will does Hoppawati go back to fullback in the meantime? Because Falalo's done his hamstring and he's out.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I thought he was ready, he was fine. It would have been they were gonna bring him back on, but he was they they said not so that's what they were saying on commentary anyway.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, fair play. So look, it's a decision for um Foz to make. But yeah, you're right, it didn't look good at the start, but and you were kind of worried, oh no, is this not gonna be the night that we want to celebrate the signing of Kieran Foran? But huge four points in the grand scheme of things going into the bye. That one, because we've got the doggies up next. Who I mean, let's be honest, we could talk about the Bulldogs para game at the end, but let's just cover it now. In effect, Snorfest, nil-nil at a half time, questionable refereeing calls around, double knock-ons for Lockie Galvin, but their attack just looks terrible. It's it's what it's it's it's one move, and it's a short inside and they're trying well without Jacob Preston there, like it doesn't work, and they're trying to throw the Galvin's trying to throw these skip passes out wide, but people aren't reading it. It's going out. I think that he threw the ball out like three or four times. That was absolutely terrible.

SPEAKER_00

So that's what happens when you've got Adam O'Brien as your attack coach.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. Look at what he'd done at the nights apart from the.

SPEAKER_00

Look at the night. Look at the knights now, scoring tries from all over the place. Um before we quickly move on, who gets dropped now with Turbo coming back? Who do you think gets dropped?

SPEAKER_01

So it's a great question. Uh I think Saab put his case forward for scoring two tries, especially the one where he danced around on the sideline and got it in. But for me, if we're being ruthless, I think Garrick moves to the wing, Saab gets dropped, Falalo comes in at centre, and Turbo plays at fullback. I reckon that's likely gonna happen if not, Foulalo has to sit on the bench. There's no because though he might run with the Garrick, Saab centre wing partnership, and then Cola Hoppawate, keep it as it is, and then just have Turbo slot him at fullback. Difficult decision, but that's why he gets paid the big bucks. That's why he gets paid the big bucks. And that's why I don't. I'm not manly head coach, so I'm just a little armchair fan sitting up there in the old Ken Arsen, giving it the big giving it the big one. But um, I mean, if we want to talk about giving it the big and the Panthers gave it the biggest. This was ridiculous. They gave it the big and 68 nil. Do you know what? I didn't even I didn't even watch this game. I just I was gonna turn it on because I was doing something, I was building something or something, I can't remember what it was. And I looked at my phone, it was like 36-0 after 28 minutes or something.

SPEAKER_00

It was ridiculous. Every time they attacked, they looked like they were the goal. I think there was a point where in the second half they scored, they kicked off, and they just went back up the other end and scored again. It was it was like watching a kid's game.

SPEAKER_01

But how embarrassing as a Tigers fan, right? Like you're giving this promise of a team that is like they've got a few injuries, don't get me wrong. Uh Twiles out, uh Dewey's out, Talon May's out, but you at least think you're gonna put up a bit of a fight against Penriff. Like, you're not gonna just roll over and like proverbial pants get pulled down. You know what I mean? It's bad. It looked terrible, it doesn't look good. There's twice they've had 50 plus put on them this season as well. There's surely there's there's conversations are can they make the eight? Can they make finals? I don't know now. I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

I think they've fallen off quite a lot massively, and I think losing nappies like the last the the couple of games previously they got the Titans next, yeah, who are on a bit of a bit of uh a run. Um but we were we went for some lunch after playing pickle on Sunday because I was feeling a little bit more human, and my partner she was sat there like I just feel so sorry for Benji Marshall, I just feel so sorry. And I was like, no, like these are these are professional athletes.

SPEAKER_01

He gives it the biggest, he's been giving it a bit of the biggest as well when that when it was high, but now a few excuses are coming out when when the lows are riding. Um but you mentioned there about the Titans on a bit of a bit of a upward trend. It seems like everyone's beating the Broncos at the moment, though. They've lost to the bottom three three times. Which is the more embarrassing one? Tigers getting fumped 68-0 or the Broncos losing backing back. Anything to do with the Broncos because they won it last year in their mental health jersey as well, which I think again they have done the sickiest thing in the world. Slick like that, just touch of silver is class. Last year it was all black. I think they're two of the best jerseys that have been released, apart from the uh Gold Coast Titans retro one that was released. I think they're the collar. I think they're three of the best jerseys that have been released over the past year. But um, yeah, they got done in by the dragons, spoon contenders, and then got done in by the Titans, who are also spoon contenders. At what point did uh have we got to start thinking the Broncos ain't gonna do what they did last season?

SPEAKER_00

Both at home, may I add?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, both up in both up at the Sun Corp as well. That is not a good look.

SPEAKER_00

Big Big Match delivered them a premiership, but they all seem to have down tools, and and they've got they've got talent all over the place. They have. Um and it's it it's just people are giving up like the the the Walsh there there was that, I think it was Sammy's try, just just he made it he made a business decision. Oh no, he's gone, he's scoring.

SPEAKER_01

And then he started getting fuming with I can't remember who it was out in front of him. Uh he was like to basically fuming that he didn't step one way or something like that. But that last try that Keanu Kinney scored, I don't know how he's managed to keep hold of that. Like literally, basket under his arm, it's bounced, he's just run through and it's perfectly fitting his arm, ran on scored almost last touch of a game, and yeah, humiliated the Broncos. So fuck him, hate the Broncos. They're disjointed, they are disjointed. But a team that is starting to make a bit of a resurgence, they were I thought, but I thought they were very lucky in this game. The storm, the Melbourne Storm, turn over the nights, 32 points to 30. I didn't watch much of this because I was building a trampoline and my laptop battery ran out, and I just wanted to get the trampoline finished. Have you ever put have you ever put 60 springs on a trampoline before? It's pretty annoying, especially when one's over the top, one's underneath. My advice is just pay the 200 bucks and get someone else to do it because I was fuming at one point. I couldn't match up the I can imagine how angry you were getting. Oh mate, I was boiling it. It was like seven o'clock at night. All that I wanted to do is have some food and watch a footy, and like I'm trying to count the rings and count the the bits of the trampoline, trying to get them round, and it what first they didn't match up, and then I'm stretched off it was just a nightmare. But anyway, stormed it over the nights just only just.

SPEAKER_00

Um I use this phrase all the all the time, but I think this was more of a knight's loss than it was a storm win. Um and they I think the knights handed the storm 18 points with three errors coming out of their their own 20, and the storm I think went on and scored all on on three occasions. Storm's defence is still all over the place. Yeah, I get the knights can score long-range tries, but it was poor at times, like they would get the ball to the edge and they were gone. And it was like, where's where's this edge defence? But and that's the thing, it's it's not been there all season for the storm.

SPEAKER_01

Will Warbrick looked a bit decent, like the from the few plays that I did see under the high ball, Warbrick looked alright in in attack, but yeah, as you say, defensively. And big news obviously on the Friday before the before the game, did they play Friday? They did play Friday, didn't they? Old Xavier Coates snapping his Achilles in Done for the season, done for the season. So that's a huge weapon loss. That's another one of theirs. Because you at least you thought, ah, when Coates comes back, there's going to be a bit of threat on the other wing. That hasn't happened. Um, but they just see at the moment, at the moment, they just seem to be trotting along under the radar. Um, but a team I think that even though they lost them, didn't they? Didn't the storm beat the Roosters? I was just about to say a team that I think they could knock them over if they do get to finals. Yeah, they beat them last week, but 18-6 or something that I think it was. But the Roosters then turn around and absolutely towel up the Raiders.

SPEAKER_00

Like big Marky Mark.

SPEAKER_01

How he wasn't one of the first names in consideration for a starting spot on the wing, I do not know. Comes back, hasn't played in five weeks, goes, yeah, right, I'll tear apart the Raiders.

SPEAKER_00

No, we'll need to go back to Union.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. And to be fair, one of them was a gift. Who is it who dived over the end, flicked it back, and he was literally there, put his hand down. But even still, you've got to be in the right place. You gotta be you've got to nowhere to be. If you're a goal scorer, you've got to be in the right place. And that's what he was big Marky Mark.

SPEAKER_00

Um I reckon, I reckon he'll go go play for you for Australia in the World Cup next year and probably be back in the NRL year after.

SPEAKER_01

Wouldn't surprise me. The NBA came back in for 2028. Who is there any teams like everyone loses interest in Australian rugby after a World Cup? So yeah, I do think a lot of them come back unless he goes and plays in France. This is what I was thinking. Like, will he go and chase that money and think about shagging his way around Europe? I'm not too sure. So we'll see how it goes. We'll see how it goes. Bold statement. It was, but the you know, he's a good looking geezer, big rig, decent rig. Like he's a good looking, good with his hands, you know what I mean? Like he's got a lot going for him. So I reckon, yeah, big Marky Mark could do a bit of damage in Europe and earn a bit of coin at the same time.

SPEAKER_00

Uh he heard it here first.

SPEAKER_01

World exclusive. You did hear it here first. Um, but I yeah, I do think like Joseph Sorley, I think, will come back after the World Cup, but then he's probably on a real decent packet in the uh at the Warrior Tars and from Rugby Australia. So we'll see how that one goes. Um and last game that we really have to cover is Sharks versus the Dragons. I mean, it did start with the Dragons doing alright from the bits that I saw, but then the Sharks just carved them up.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I I thought the I nearly I I wrote out the message about two or three times for our group going, I think they're not I think the dragons are gonna do this, and then they didn't. They didn't, um they just fell apart, which is what what they've been doing all season. Um they've they've showed great glimpses um again in this game, being able to sort of go to toe toe to toe, um, especially especially in the first half leading at half time. Um but then the sharks just turned up. And and what one one thing I've got to say is talking about we've talked about aerial presence, I think, through throughout, but I think sharks was Stone Street's fucking brilliant in the air. Yeah. He he comes he comes down with everything. Their back three are very good at the moment. Um with Molotalo, Kennedy just seems to come down with everything.

SPEAKER_01

Mulatalo's just physical, like he just runs and he's he's good under a high ball as well. He can have a bit like a significant off day, I think, when his head goes a bit, but he's they're dangerous. Uh and Kennedy just annoys me though.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, just slippery, he's a sly, slightly little devil, isn't he? Like when he got out of that the in-gole area. Yeah, well, I think Ben needs to as we as I say to all all American football players break down, just break down, break down.

SPEAKER_01

Run past him pretty much.

SPEAKER_00

Control your little feet, little foot little little steps going into the top.

SPEAKER_01

But I remember when we played again in Perth against the Sharks last year. Yeah, he had a game. He had a game, he threw a skip ball, or it might have even didn't he run the full length of the field or score as well. And then out to Stone Street who scored. It was all just a bit of a nightmare, but I just realised we missed one picture off the off the schedule, and that's the one.

SPEAKER_00

How can you forget the dolphins at the moment?

SPEAKER_01

I've read something earlier that they've got the most origin representative representatives in the Queensland team. They've got five players. They say they have just absolutely turned out Cobbo Hammer for the Waker as well. No, he does he play for him. Have I absolutely butchered that and made that up. Let me have a look in a second. I can't remember who it was that got included. Uh no Finney Fuaki Fuaki, that's it. Fuyaki who got uh selected. So um yeah they've got five five representatives playing and interestingly Katoni Staggs probably Katoni Staggs Herbie Farmworth. I was two I think about the two sexiest geezers in football there but Herbie Farmworth could probably if he was there six months earlier would have been playing for Queensland as well. So absolutely nuts but they're a team that's on the charge like I do I do think um it's between them and Manley for the Cobbo's Cobos started to get a bit of form as well hasn't he's he's starting to starting to turn up um but they couldn't hand it against Manley they got turned over 58 58 points for him exactly like you you just can't roll with the big dogs that's exactly what it is precisely but let's get into round 15 obviously I think we've got a bit of a a few teams on a bye this week who's on a bye we've got the dogs cowboys dragons knights panthers manly and the storm so fair few two points knocking about there but it means we just uh move up the table I'll maintain our top four we maintain the top four but it kicks off on Thursday night at the Accor Court this is a this is a tasty fixture but fair few fair few players missing for the Broncos we've got the rabbit O's at a dollar forty eight against the Brisbane Broncos at $2.66 um they've are they I I've just seen Jai Arrows been named there must be something going on this round yeah I don't know whether they're going to be continuing it because it are is it is it it's not July no Jai July they can name it for every every every game for right be interesting to see what they've got planned it should definitely be there because this is the first home game this might be the first home game they've played since the announcement I could be wrong definitely could be wrong have been wrong many a time in the past by saying stuff on here but yeah it'd be interesting.

Nice little touch that is actually yeah um but you look at you look at the outs for Broncos you look at stags Haas Walsh um as as the the sort of the the the three big fucking outs there Ezra Mamm has has um been dropped as well to the bench he made a rash decision on the last play of the game against the Titans as well when he had everyone over on the right hand side and he's kicked it through on the left um Adam Reynolds did come out and make a fair point. Like it's so much easier when you've got the hindsight of being able to sit back and see it from whereas when you're on the field you you you've got so much going on because we've played such elite level sport we definitely know what we're talking about. Biggest armchair fans go we sit up in the stands just heckling what players should be doing and shouldn't be doing you put yourself in in that position because we we have actually played sport like you you are blinded by blinkers. Granted the speed they they'll see them at are is a lot quicker but regardless whether it's a 40 year old bloke who's just been divorced who wants to take your head off or it is pain has yeah it's still the it's still the same fucking feeling in your stomach like I've got to get rid of this ball quickly. But no it's um bit of a tangent there I'm gonna go the rabbit hose I I'm gonna join you.

SPEAKER_01

I think these South Sydney rabbit hose get this one done on a brisk Thursday night in Sydney.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah and then we've got the only kickoff on the Friday we're up at the Sun Corp.

SPEAKER_01

We've got the Dolphins at $1.50 against the Roosters at $2.59 there's a fair few outs for the Roosters mind you both and the Dolphins yeah oh this might you know I'm gonna say this is going to turn out to be game of the weekend but I think this might be a little bit of a low quality game ah Lusalu the Taylor Lusalu this he got his time this time last year Tommy Talau was playing when he was um came on over Origin okay and was an absolute physical monster he's the concrete that um got assigned on to a concrete yeah yeah he absolutely bossed it last year um lenue starting I think the Dolphins win this yeah you they've they've not lost a lot of their they haven't lost any of their punch they've lost the hammer at the back but they've still got Asarco Bostock Farmworth uh Nicarima bit of power in the middle they lose but um but yeah I'm I'm I'm gonna I'm gonna join you there I'm gonna go with the uh the dolphins and then on the Saturday we're at the Go Media Stadium in Auckland we've got the New Zealand Warriors at $1.35 against the Sharks the Cornella Sharks at $3.25 I will be going for the Wars um this is a difficult one the Sharks so obviously a few outs Fisher Harris isn't playing for the Warriors Lekahalissima isn't playing but they've got a fair few players back um and Fanur Blake and Nakora I think we're gonna go yeah Waz are gonna win this one up the Waz um and then with the second kickoff on the Saturday we've got the we're at the Combank Stadium very happy I haven't been there that this this year we've got the Paramount Hills at $2.22 against the Canberra Raiders at $1.66 both of these teams were terrible both of these teams were terrible I like you can't when was the last time a team that held was held to nil like had another stinker the week after is what I'm wondering but the Eels had a stinker they didn't score until for like seven and only a seven minute period against the Bulldogs they scored two tries pretty much back to back other than that they were terrible surely the Raiders surely the Raiders get swinged it's got it's gonna it's gotta be the Raiders um it's gotta be yeah surely yeah um and then last game of the weekend this one's gonna be a tough one to watch we got the West Tigers uh West Tigers at $1.54 against the Gold Coast Titans at $2.49 There ain't much to do in do what I'm they lose Tino and Jojo Fafia whereas um the Tigers lose Coruso which is exactly what they like about Coruso.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah but they've got Taylor May back which is huge this is such this is such a tough one.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna go Tigers just because they need a backup with what they've what they did previously and they've got still a lot of fight and punch in that middle and it's that like heart as well isn't it yeah Titans lose big Tino it's that like heart but I'm gonna go for the upset yeah you gotta I'm gonna go for the Gold Coast Titans to ride the wave Josh Hannah to absolutely fire it up and come down silence the Tigers silence the hill and get one done on the on the West Tigers but that's it short and sharp this week obviously Origin next week looking forward to that um we'll give it a preview on Tuesday but I don't know I hate weekends when there's only five games of footy yeah it's boring it's boring very much so shout out to a couple of mad dogs as well I think we've got a few more subscribers this week I think I think three more people hit that subscribe button so as we sign off remember to hit that subscribe button follow along on socials if you enjoy the random rubbish that we put out um and we'll catch you in the next one you bottle it get Larry
