Football and rugby league collide when we start with England grinding out a tense win, then ask the question every fan argues about after a scrappy tournament performance: can you play poorly, still win, and still be a real contender? We get into the “big Dan Burn effect,” why Jude Bellingham keeps looking like the difference-maker, and what Thomas Tuchel’s post-match honesty actually means when the media tries to spin it into a drama.

Then we look straight at the next mountain: Argentina. We talk pace, matchups, and the uncomfortable reality that Lionel Messi can ghost a match and still decide it in one moment. We also dig into the factors fans whisper about but rarely say cleanly, like refereeing, game management, and how fine the margins get when the storylines are massive. If you’re searching for an England vs Argentina preview with real fan logic behind it, this is the one.

After that, we switch to the NRL and State of Origin, giving Nathan Cleary his flowers for the kind of series-defining performance that changes reputations. We wrap the weekend’s chaos including the Warriors crushing the Tigers, the Sharks dropping 66 on the Dolphins, Jerome Luai’s short-term move to the Eels, and our blunt rant on goal kicking after another one-point Manly heartbreak. We finish with our NRL Round 20 tips so you can argue along with us.

SPEAKER_01

Hello and welcome to another episode of They've been Doing It All Day today. Cleary's got a medal, Dolphin's gotta hide it, and football's coming home. Let's get stuck in.

SPEAKER_00

You're damn right football's coming home. It is. There's not one better place that we can start because it's been a long, it feels like it's been a long week. It's been a real long week. Uh Origin last week, we'll get on to in a second. But England had Mexico happened before this time last week? Yes. It had.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. It had. Cool. It's all blended into one, isn't it? It's it's you're like, you sat there watching and you're like, oh, it's just the big Dan Burn effect, I think it is. Just every every game now. It's uh huge headers from the back, just uh having nothing off no one. First thing is my dad, I messaged my dad, and I was like, my dad's a massive Solomon fan, hates Newcastle, hates anything to do with Newcastle. And I messaged him and I was like, ah, same as a Geordie, but Dan Burns becoming a little bit of a cult hero. And he was like, he was like, What do you mean? I was like, all he's done is head of a few things. Do you think I've got a little bit of bias? And I was like, Yes, you do, Dad.

SPEAKER_00

Just the way I don't even know who the Norwegian geezer was on the floor, but he steps over him on the way to destroy through destroying him, and then steps over him on the way back after celebrating.

SPEAKER_01

It's it's all the memes as well. It's like the Battlefield War I dreadnought um coming into reinforcement. It's like he should come on with the rock sentence music. Uh it it's it's absolutely brilliant. It's like they've started doing like the Chuck Norris memes for him. It's like um via uh V AR check with Dan Byrne if it was a foul. Like it's it was it's quite it's been quite amusing. We've been do you know what?

SPEAKER_00

I thought we were gonna turn Norway over. I thought we were gonna beat him quite comfortably. Um, but then it was a nervy one, and I think we got we got lucky. But what are your thoughts of uh Tuchel's comments after the game?

SPEAKER_01

I think they were fair, they were fair and justified, to be honest, because it was a poor performance in this in the sense of technically, which is what he was talking about. Technically, passing wasn't great, uh runs in behind weren't weren't amazing. There's the technical element of the game, but then when they started questioning about the mentality, and he was saying, uh, what about the mentality? It was like that that's pure mentality. It's being able to work through it. That's the mentality side of it. Um, so I I I agree with what he was saying, and I think it was a very, very good interview, but I think it's just the just the English media trying to cause issues that that aren't even there.

SPEAKER_00

That's the bit that pissed me off the most. Like, Gabriel Clark's been to a number of world cups, and like he's the one that's reported on like our divisions in camp, as in when you can tell there might be something going on, and you'd have thought nations on a high, British or English, sorry, nations on a high, and we're doing well in a world cup. And you why did he have to ask the question? Why or not necessarily the question? The the question was fine to Tuchel. It was the question to Bellingham, like you don't have to do that, you don't have to put that wedge in between because there's been history between the two of them. Like, obviously, Bellingham wasn't picked during some of the uh qualifiers, um, and it just I don't know, like that's the British media to a T. Like, yeah, all right, we can compare it to the NRL over here. Like, there's some media critics that come out and say things, but not on a national level at the way that the British media they just try and click storylines, views, and they didn't need to ask it. But I'm hoping from all accounts, like there's no there's no issues from you was saying there isn't, but I love what Bellingham came out.

SPEAKER_01

Bellingham said came out and said as well, um, about sitting there and defending his teammates, and and I I I absolutely love that. Granted, is it a conversation that could be changed for the save for the change room? Yeah, but when you get that frustrated opponent because he got thrown out of context, where then Tuchel goes on to say he's absolutely world-class of a player, Bellingham. So it's it's again, it was just it's it's storming a teacup, try to make it a lot bigger than it is. I think everything would have been patched over. Bellingham's bringing it home.

SPEAKER_00

He is what what a performance. So, like again, it back to back two games against Mexico, 10 out of 10, against for his defensive and goal scoring opportunities for this game. Obviously, two like it's his second finish. He's just anticipating. Yeah, but why didn't we take any shots earlier? Like Morgan Rogers just take a shot from outside the box, and then it keeper spills it, and Bellingham's there running in. But it's um doesn't matter whether you win a mugly, a win is a win. A win's a win, and we're into the next round where against a team that's not just any round, we're into a semifinal. I've heard this quite a bit. Like, obviously, like we're the number four ranked team in the world, and anything below the semi-finals, you're almost like looking at Tuchel going, is this a failure? Has he picked the wrong squad? Has he not reached a potential? But now we're at that stage of the semi-final, it's a bit like uh we're where we're meant to be. Anything from here is a plus, and if we win the World Cup, it's just absolute it'd be carnage, it's gonna be absolute elation. But um, the old Norway's rowing home, yeah. They're on there, they're packing their bags early, and Haaland was kept quiet. Very quiet.

SPEAKER_01

I didn't want to say it at any point during the game, but I think Mark Gay did an absolute job on him.

SPEAKER_00

He got bullied early on, though. Like it was mentioned on the overlap podcast, like he got physically manhandled early on by Haaland. But but that that was his point.

SPEAKER_01

That I think that's what I think that's what his whole role was. It was just to do not let that boy breathe. And there was a few occasions where Haaland did throw throw him and push him off, but that was his role because if he's then gonna have to think about pushing someone off, it delays his runs for that that one second, he's that time into the ball for once one second.

SPEAKER_00

Well, we look at the Norway's disallowed goal, push in Anderson. Yep, do that, you're gonna get pinged for it. And bloody glad we did. And uh how John Stones gets away with a two-on-one, Solaf and Haaland. I don't know. But look, a little bit of luck, but you need a little bit of luck to go far in tournaments. Next one, Argentina, England or Messi has never played England in his career, potential last game. How'd you see it going? Obviously, this is where being filmed on Tuesday games Thursday morning.

SPEAKER_01

Again, I I the I'm I'm I'm head of my heart, sort of things. It's that I don't want to get overconfident with things, and I I reckon England could turn them over quite comfortably.

SPEAKER_00

They've got zero pace on the wing, right? And look at you look at what Kate Verde did against them, they tore them apart. But who was the other who's the other team that Egypt Egypt absolutely ripped them wingers, which Gordon has absolute pace, Saka, not too rash.

SPEAKER_01

It's I think it's a game screamer for Rashford.

SPEAKER_00

It is, and look, if Reese James can hold up for longer than starts right back. Oh, I think him overlapping could be dangerous on that right hand side. Kane in the middle, nodding him in. Declan Rice needs to be fit though, if you want to stop Lionel Messi. But yeah, that's the thing. It's they've got Messi.

SPEAKER_01

He doesn't he could walk around for 90 minutes and just take need one second to to open up out of nowhere. And and they showed against Switzerland, they've got those moments of quality in them, deep into extra time. I think it was Alvarez who scored that absolute worst. Big striker in the world at the moment, apparently. Oh, it was but and that's and that's the dangerous thing about them. It's like, yes, we can sit here and feel confident, but they've got moments of brilliance at any everywhere. Um, and it's just being able to, I suppose, shepherd them out the game. And the the the thing I really worry about is is how they can they play into the referee's hands as well. They're very good at manipulation.

SPEAKER_00

Have we got three American refs as well? I think I saw today. Well, immediately corruption comes into account. Obviously, to the biggest dollars in the world will be going towards FIFA if Argentina and Messi win the World Cup in his last World Cup. So look, I think that's the only thing I'm worried about. People say in the Norway game we've got some contentious decisions about the ball hitting the wire and all this shit and the disallowed goal. But if there's ever going to be a blatant corruption claim, it will be Argentina against England. Um, can Bellingham do it three games in a row?

SPEAKER_01

Well, he's been doing it, he's got what, four man of the matches from the tournament so far? Uh, yeah, I think that's that and and that and this goes back to the point that when we're saying about Mexico where when everyone was so worried about the things on the outside, it's like, but they've got to worry about Hurricane, they've got to worry worry about Jew Bellingham, they've got to worry about Declan Rice to a certain extent, yeah. And and it's the same for Argentina. Yes, they've got Lionel Messi, but we've got the best finisher in the world. And the great thing is the conditions at the ground play into England's an air conditioned stadium. Mad. So so yeah, well, I I'm I'm hoping, I'm hoping, and then it's just anything from a anything from the final.

SPEAKER_00

I unfortunately remember the last two times that we played Argentina in uh World Cups. I don't obviously don't remember 1986 with the hand of God Maradona weren't even born then, but South Korea, I believe it was Korea that we played them um and we beat them in the group stage. Yeah, one-nil. David Beckham penalty. David Beckham penalty, but we got knocked out in that tournament. I can't remember how. Portugal, I think it was Brazil, Ronaldinho's three cards. Of course it was the one over the top, but then the next one was the red card, the David Beckham red card. Uh let's hope for no repeat like that. Um, but I could see a dodgy red card being given. It would fit right to Argentina. It would fit right in the narrative. But what do you reckon? Do you reckon we blow him away or do you reckon this is gonna be a cagey kg affair?

SPEAKER_01

I think it'll be another kg affair. I think it'll be a a a 2-1 again. Uh uh I I really hope for something like 3-1 after extra time or something like that, but I just think it'll be kg.

SPEAKER_00

I think we're gonna beat him 4-2. Like I've got this feeling that we're just gonna things are gonna click, Tuco's gonna get them fire in, we're gonna find the space that we need. Thought we're gonna go like 3-0 up, and then we're gonna win at 4-2.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, I like the confidence. Hopefully it goes like that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, well, if you're enjoying those predictions, make sure you uh hit the hit the subscribe button. Um, look, we've we've been rambling on about soccer, football here. We're we're mainly NRL focused. So, what feels like an attorney ago last Wednesday state of origin, New South Wales get it done as we thought. 13 plus easy up in Brisbane. Did it touch Bostock's hand? Of course it didn't, of course it didn't touch his hand.

SPEAKER_01

I might believe it when he comes out and he said it didn't.

SPEAKER_00

Well, he he knew he touched it. Everyone knows he touched it, but what a performance from New South Wales.

SPEAKER_01

Where was that the other two games, though? That's the really annoying thing.

SPEAKER_00

But I think it I think it boils down to Queensland not having the underdog tag. I think they love it too much, I think they thrive off it, like genuinely thrive off of it. And Billy Slater must use that as motivation in the sheds, and they're in a position now where it's like, oh, what do we do?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, going in his favourites, home ground, expecting an easy win, and then uh like Cleary had the game that we we needed him to have as well. Yeah, surely cements himself. Yeah, I think that does it. One one, I think he only really needed one series to really do it, and he he put new self out of it. It's that that cheeky little dart off the right foot that just seems to get everyone. Everyone knows it's coming, yeah, but no one ever seems to be able to stop it.

SPEAKER_00

Just the way he took put the team like two tries, opening two tries, Nathan Cleary, support running, like great move to get Stephen Crichton breakaway on the outside, Liam Martin again. Coming up, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, Liam Martin. I absolutely loved his performance. Uh I said it last week. He he's that player, just like Lindsay Collins, just finds an extra gear in origin, and I just absolutely loved it. He he was just running around like a prime Lewis Moody. I'm gonna I'm gonna throw cross codes out there. Just had no regard for his health, yeah. And he was just flying into everything, he just breaks lines. Him and Monster hate each other, which I think just revs it up even more. And a monster doesn't want any of it when he's in it when he's in defence.

SPEAKER_00

What did I hear? I heard that he was meant to come off after 30 minutes or something like that. And Olaquatu is meant to come on, but he was like, No, I'm fine. Yeah, no, I'm fine. I'm staying on, I'm staying on. Geezer, what does he remind me of? What's that uh character from Street Fighter? Uh, the green monster with the orange, uh, it's gonna annoy me. He's like the monster-looking geezer, but um enough of the the references of Street Fighter. Uh, what was the other thing that I was gonna say? Oh, talk it like we spoke about Drew Bellingham at the start about carrying a team, like and a performance that just blew everything out of the water. I think this performance of Nathan Cleary is kind of was similar. Like him and Payne Haas was phenomenal.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he was brilliant. And and that's and that's one thing you look at. Could you have brought on Alokaatu to run alongside Payne Haas? Would that have caused more damage? I reckon it, I reckon it would have. Um, but it it just it just shows again the importance of your halves actually turning up. Sam Walker and Cam once had very poor games in in this this three days. They dropped so many balls as well. They had two incredible games across game one. Sam Walker hadn't missed a kick, and he's he he was now then shanking it left right. Let's not talk about missing. Yeah, we'll talk about that in a moment. But it just show it just shows the importance of it. And but I I again I know I feel sorry for Brian Tao, but having that aerial presence and that height, it that defensive ability to be able to get up there and put Jojo Fafita off and you know, not catch the ball, and then Brabham Beck sprints down the other end. Exactly, exactly. It just works to your advantage.

SPEAKER_00

That's exactly what Laurie was. He could see it. Big man could see it. Um look, I it was a great performance, but I do think overall in the series we got very lucky from game one. Yeah, do you know? Randomly, that was the other thing that I was thinking. When I was cutting up the shorts for the tick the the predictions that we do, during the manly game, I was talking about how I think it would pan out, right? And the exact words I said were Tolu Colo doesn't come on unless James Tedesco gets injured, yeah, and Hamole Oquatuatu comes on for 30 minutes, which he was meant to, but but Tedesco got injured, but you know, not Nostradamus. I did I just before the game as well, I did message and say Queensland third Queensland, shut up. New South Wales 13 plus, and I got a little bit heckled for that. Yeah, you did. You did look what happened, look what happened.

SPEAKER_01

Just just a man of the future.

SPEAKER_00

I know, but next year, what's that? That means the decider will be in well decider. I've already said it's gonna be 1-1 next year. Third game will be in Sydney next year. I aren't they taking origin to New Zealand. New Zealand. That'll be cool. That'll be cool. I I hope it's as hyped up as it was in Melbourne because that was that was a good atmosphere. But let's get on to the weekend's fixtures. Lot of big results out there. Huge um Tigers get battered by the Warriors, Sharks absolutely smash the Dolphins. But talking of that Tigers game, you seen the news that was announced literally two hours ago? Uh Lou I to the Eels. Jerome Louie to the Parramatta Eels for one year, which is really interesting because what is it with Parramatta signing players that on one year deals that are fucking off elsewhere after? Um I just I don't get it. I think that I don't know, do they know what they're doing in the halves?

SPEAKER_02

Do they expect to hit do you think well I and Moses? Well, Moses is Moses is six as well, isn't he? Really?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think it'll be an interesting like Lou I could probably step into that seven, but are they predicting that then them two will drag them into the finals next year? I think that might be if you I looked at their lineup earlier, it looks strong, like they're one to thirteen, looks looks decent. Um whether it's enough to take them to the finals next year, we'll see. But I from a tiger's point of view, I definitely think that like although Benji Marshall comes out and says, Ah, I'm fine with Louis. We we talk at things honestly, we talk like men, there's transparency, blah blah blah blah blah. It feels like Lockie Garvin all over again.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, let's just get rid of him.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and they've they've their seasons ruined. Um but Warriors just absolutely tore them apart, like they had no answer for them. Uh it's pretty one-sided. Whereas it Campbell Town as well, their bogey stadium.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and and Warriors just look strong, and I thought this would end up being an absolute trifest, to be honest, and and and it and it was for them. Um again, they're they they look strong. It's can the Warriors now kick on and and keep this and keep that second spot? Uh, I think is gonna be the big the big thing from it.

SPEAKER_00

I reckon I reckon they can because the Dolphins were one of the teams that were gonna put pressure on them. But let's get on to that because uh look, I we both ticked the Dolphins. Naivety thinking their origin players would play because most players back up. They did they had lost a lot of players, but if anyone in their right minds thought that the sharks were gonna stick 66 unanswered points on the Dolphins, then you need to buy lottery tickets every single day of the week.

SPEAKER_01

100% agree. And and and this is just the thing, it's it's we've talked about the sharks being incredibly inconsistent all all season, and and they massively showed it again that they were on, and and they're again an origin-impacted team, yeah. But again, when we said it when they're on, they're on, like they're uh they are a very good team in the comp. Nico Hines had a fantastic game again, and when he shows up, they're a brilliant team, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um most points ever in a game for a sharks player, wasn't it?

SPEAKER_01

30 points. And and that and that's wild, but again, Dolphins are just didn't it well. This is now the second time at Redcliffe they've conceded over 50 points this season. One of the other times.

SPEAKER_00

58 was it we put on M 58?

SPEAKER_01

So he's out there a bit of a bogey ground, but I didn't expect them to fall to pieces like this.

SPEAKER_00

Nah, and it was like they were going through ease. Like I turned well, we didn't turn off. I was doing something in the background. Every time I seemed to turn around and watch the screen, another six points have been put on the board. Even in the last five minutes, I think there was like three tries or something like that. So my biggest reservation about the sharks is can they keep it consistent? But they're do they're like slowly going under the radar. They got big tests this weekend, they're playing the knights. Yeah, um, it'd be interesting to see how they go with a full a somewhat full strength knights against a full strength sharks team. So that'll really tell us where they are. But let's get on to it. Let's let's talk about a one-point loss again at home. Manly losing, what was it? I don't even know what score was. 1918. 1918. Did my head in like yeah. We talk about goal kicking all the time, the importance of goal kicking. I'm sorry, in uh I'm gonna start.

SPEAKER_01

I was about to say, if you you you carry on getting if you if you're a professional, if if if you're you're a professional kicker in the NRO, you should not be missing a kick in between the two 20s. I'm I'm I'm sorry. In in in between, this goes for this goes for the Cowboys as well. They the both both players were kicking at 25% on that last one. What I was genuinely joked. He shanked it so far. All you needed to do was just run up and chip it, and it was over. And then this is the annoyance thing. Like Foggete's last kick on the byline, that's that's difficult. That's where you can work with a little less more of a percentage. But 20 to 20. 20 to 20, you shouldn't be missing him between it. As a professional athlete, like I know it's a lot easier for us to sit sit here and say, but we're not getting paid hundreds of thousands a year, we're not doing it every day at training. Um, and it's just so infuriating for it to just be an absolute waste.

SPEAKER_00

One thing that annoys me the most, and like, look, Jamal Jamal Foggett seems like a real down to earth geezer. Um, but he got interviewed today for seven news, and he was like almost saying, like, don't worry, we'll be fine. But we've lost against the Bulldogs in Golden Point, but we got converted both of the kicks then, so it wasn't, but there was no plan to it's it's sorry, uh it it's the it's the yards and on that and that golden point as well.

SPEAKER_01

We barely got out of a half. They we were struggling all day to make meters, all day it felt like they were able to run pretty much the length of the field to be it then be able to slot it, and yeah, I think that a lot of it comes from unfortunately the the the pace uh from the base of the rook from Simpkin. He he he he the speed just isn't there with his passing, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um and that's the Joey Walsh as well. Like he did some fantastic things. I thought he was highly unlucky to have that uh Olaquatu's try taken away.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't understand, I don't understand.

SPEAKER_00

Like I can see it hit his fingers and then hit the floor and then bounced up. But the but doesn't that mean the ball travelled backwards though? I don't know. The ball the ball's still going toward uh what a what a kick, what a kick, and even for another one where um it got whipped outside, like the bullet pass that he put on that not necessarily it it only skipped one person and it went to Cola who tipped it on top of Warte, but it was just a perfect spiral, yeah. Like it was a ball that was cutting through the air, it was brilliant. Um but we seem very one-dimensional at the moment, and I think Luke Brooks is a lot bigger of a loss.

SPEAKER_01

No, and I and I agree with with that, but you think you've got to then look at the the other side of it. We lose Ben Trovoyovich early, which means Corey Waddell comes in. We lose Corey Waddell very early, which then Bullimore needs to then move to to second row, which then means Brown uh have to play extended minutes, which which does disrupt the interchanges and and and stuff like that. And it can mess around with it with the game plan. They probably hadn't trained and expected to have Corey Waddell at second row, yeah. And it that slows down the plays, even even then putting Bully Moore in there. Bully Moore wouldn't have trained the set pieces as much.

SPEAKER_00

We've been impacted a lot by injuries this year, and I know everyone does, but we've lost like tackling.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think it's in-game injuries, yeah. That's really frustrating at the moment.

SPEAKER_00

Because we tend like Laafi again was solid running the ball. He's starting this weekend, which is is great for him, but I just think that back row or even the centres when someone goes down, it's like we can't uh centres isn't too bad because you've got Falalo and Faledi now, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Which I'm I'm I'm not too back angry at. It's we we don't have a we don't have a second, second rower.

SPEAKER_00

And you it gets exposed every single time. Yeah. Look, let's take some positives from our losses, and it's been mentioned, but I think Eagleide N RL mentioned it, they did a little short about it that the games that we've lost Pam Panthers by two points, dogs by one point, uh Cowboys by one point, and then the Eels by what nine points, sharks by a tribe without two of our origin players. Those are games last year that I think, like especially this game, I think we'd have rolled over and got absolutely trounced. Uh, the defensive side of the ball is a lot better, it's a lot cleaner. It's just individual mistakes that cost us like rushing up the line too much, or too much of a gap, or biting in on something. Um we've got a tough run in, like, yeah, it's not easy. I I'm on the fence. I'm on the fence as to whether we're gonna make the eight. It is uh it is a tough one. Um what other fixtures happen this weekend? Roosters beat the eels, but eels are terrible, roosters turned up, um, and the big one. Suppose well, Titans I thought were very unlucky against the storm. They were. They were so unlucky against the storm. I thought they were the better team for the majority of it. I agree with that. And that's the like we got to worry. Titans away. But the Titans next week. But the big one this week was um, it wasn't the game that mattered as much. It was Jai Arrow's 31st birthday. What is it? The world's biggest birthday party, uh, his 31st birthday, and raising funds for motor neurons disease. And I think they ended up raising over a million dollars. Oh, I love that. It was absolutely love that. Yeah, absolutely huge amount. Um, but the rat I think I personally think that spurred the rabbit o'zons.

SPEAKER_01

100%. It just gives you an extra fire, doesn't it? Like look, the the the Newcastle had what was it? I think two two tries ruled out within the first 10 minutes. One one from Shook, which yeah, I think that they were rightly called back. But that then shifts momentum. If you if you if you mentally have gone two tries up, which you think, and then go you're not, you're still on zero, but then the opposition then go down the other end of the score, that can shift meant shift you mentally. Yeah, and they just didn't seem to be the same team after that, where the rabbit hose just just kept absolutely firing. Then Talas Duncan on the on the left and David Feet on the right. I know Duncan was in the centres, but they were just running hard yards as well.

SPEAKER_00

Umfito's try was pretty straightforward as well. Like no one was stopping him from five metres out. No, who was it? I saw a picture of an injury that happened pretty early as well.

SPEAKER_01

I can't remember who got it, but the uh Greg Marju got an absolute split their leg open like a stud.

SPEAKER_00

It was Dom Young. So Dom Young was tackling, got getting tackled. Yeah, someone fell on, I can't remember who it was, but like his studs were pointing upwards and his whole body's gone down, and he needed like 37 stitches up his knee. I was gonna say, you ever seen any anyone split open significantly during a game?

SPEAKER_01

Um, yeah, well, with league this year. Um the head, yeah, the head contact. Yeah, a couple of bigger head injuries where the the it's been blood, I think is the best way to put it. Um I've cracked my head open a couple of times. Um, but nothing as nothing as bad as not as bad as that.

SPEAKER_00

Like you could see probably see fat under under skin. The only bad the only bad one I've seen, it was uh preseason American football training at university. So we had a like rookies come along, yeah, and one guy got a helmet, it must have been a helmet to his arm, and it like ripped his arm open, and you could that's when you like you could proper see fat below it. But um, yeah, back to Rabbit Ho's game, like so just gyro in general, like the whole league is rallying around him. Um and it's it's great to see like he's still got his humour, he's still himself. Um, and like he says, he's gonna fight this thing till till he ain't got no fight anything left in him. But um, let's get on to round 20, the weeks of flying by eight weeks left of this season. City bonkers and a stadium that I'm never ever ever visiting again on Thursday night. We got the Penrith Panthers $1.20 against the Brisbane Broncos at $4.60.

SPEAKER_01

Um, I'm gonna go for the Panthers with this, and I think it could be a bit of a route.

SPEAKER_00

I think so, I think it will be. Like, I think they could absolutely tee off on them. But on the flip side, I don't think the Broncos are winning this. I'll I'll put that down. But the time the Broncos do decide to turn up, it will probably be against the Panthers. Um, but don't forget the the Panthers didn't have their origin players. True, this is very true. Um, Panthers win this, but I can see it being tighter than a dollar twenty against four dollars sixty.

SPEAKER_01

Um, and then we've got the first kickoff on the Friday. We're at the Ocean Protect Stadium in Sydney, which we've visited. We have uh you got the Sharks at $1.58 against the Knights at $2.39.

SPEAKER_00

This is gonna be a good game. Uh yeah, disappointed this is the six o'clock kickoff. I can understand why because of the game after, but um, and let's be real, Shark Park ain't the most the best viewing on a on a Friday night. No. Um was our game six o'clock when we went down there on a Friday night? Yeah, it was. Yeah, because we were listening to leave work earlier. Yeah, we were listening on the way back. So uh I've got a feeling sharks win this.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna I'm gonna join you on that. Um I think they're gonna back up. I think they're gonna back up and start taking some momentum into finals.

SPEAKER_00

Fair play, fair play. Then the Friday, 8 p.m. at the Allianz, big game. Yes, we got the Sydney Roosters at $1.29 against the Melbourne Storm, $3.64. I think this is a must-win for the storm.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think it is a must-win, but I just I I don't I don't think they get it. Munsters out for 4-6. Jerome Hughes is out as well. So that's their halves gone. Uh I'm I'm going, I'm going uh Roosters.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I reckon the Roosters uh on a bit of a finals charge. I reckon they're a team that actually that could potentially push the Warriors, talking about second place.

SPEAKER_01

And then first kickoff on the Saturday, we've got the three o'clock at the Geo Stadium Canberra with the Raiders at $1.82 against the Rabbit O's at $2.02.

SPEAKER_00

Rabbit O's Raiders have been pulling some results out. Are they starting to find a bit of form? I don't think they are. I think the Bulldogs were just poor. Poor, very poor. Um, and Bulldogs are beating teams that are origin impacted. I think the Rabbit O's win this. I think the Rabbit Hows beat them down in Canberra. I'm gonna I'm gonna go the other way. I'm gonna go Raiders. I'm gonna go Raiders. I'm gonna go Raiders. Fair play. Then we head over to New Zealand with the Go Media Stadium in Auckland. New Zealand Warriors at $1.18. That is some low odds against the St. George Illawarra Dragons at $4.90.

SPEAKER_01

The Wars are being upped. I'm going Wars.

SPEAKER_00

I think they are. I I agree with you. I think the Warriors are winning this, but I do think there's a possibility that the Dragons show improvement.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, decent little performance.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, um, yeah, it'd be tighter than tighter than those odds, I reckon. And then prime time on the Saturday. What a dross game.

SPEAKER_01

The 7.35 kickoff at the Eccor Stadium. I reckon it could be busy. I reckon it could be busy. We've got the Bulldogs at $1.50 against the Tigers at $2.60.

SPEAKER_00

Tigers have been terrible recently. Yeah. Uh, and the Bulldogs haven't been great. Crichton, apparently he's might he might be a go-er for this week. Has he been named? Um, he hasn't. So he's in the reserves. Do the tigers cause a somewhat upset in this? Nah, I don't think they do. Bulldogs.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna go Bulldogs as well.

SPEAKER_00

I think they're just the better of two poor teams, just yeah, and then Sunday, absolute banana skin of a fixture. This C bus super stadium, 2 p.m. Gold Coast Titans, $2.39 against the Manly Warringer Sea Eagles, $1.58.

SPEAKER_01

Boys are gonna bounce back. Gonna go Manly Sea Eagles.

SPEAKER_00

Manly 13 plus. That's all I'm saying. Fong and he doesn't miss a kick. Probably. You're right, actually, I reckon.

SPEAKER_01

Clip it. Last and then we've got the final game of the weekend with the five past four kickoff at the Suncorp Stadium. We've got the Dolphins at $1.62 against the Cowboys at $2.30.

SPEAKER_00

This is an interesting one. Like obviously, Dolphins need to bounce back. Um Tom Dierden is back for but he's not been he's not been named in the starting. Where is he? He's on the extended bench, so it's probably a late fitness test. Can Cowboys go back to back? Can the Dolphins back themselves? Yeah, Dolphins. I'm gonna go Dolphins.

SPEAKER_01

Look, the Cowboys got the win at the weekend against Manley, but I think that was Manly more Manly losing than the Cowboys were. We didn't talk about the ref either, by the way. The ref was dripped. The six agains that we're given. Some unnecessary six agains. Um, but I'm gonna go for the Dolphins as well. I'm gonna join you on that one.

SPEAKER_00

Well, there we go. Any other sporting events happened over the last week? England dominating India in the cricket.

SPEAKER_01

Battered India.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely battering India in the cricket. Uh what else has happened? I think that's about it, really, isn't it? Wimbledon. Yeah, I don't know. It's just World Cup, that's all it's been. World Cup, World Cup, World Cup. England are marching on. Well, if you agree with our tips, stick a comment down below.
