Ep.32-The Armor of God: Monday Motivation for Spiritual Warriors
What defines true success in life? While our culture fixates on material possessions, career achievements, and social status, the authentic measure transcends all these temporary markers. The Book of Life – where eternal names are written – represents the ultimate achievement that no worldly accomplishment can match.
This episode delves deep into Ephesians 6:11-17, examining the spiritual armor believers need in today's challenging landscape. Just as soldiers prepare for battle, Christians must equip themselves with truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and God's Word. Without this divine protection, we remain vulnerable to attacks that material security cannot shield against. Daily Bible study isn't optional – it provides the spiritual ammunition needed when life's darkest moments arrive.
Modern life teems with addictions that reach far beyond substances – technology, media consumption, unhealthy relationships, and countless distractions that separate us from our spiritual foundation. Rather than merely treating symptoms through temporary solutions, true healing requires addressing root causes through faith. We explore First John's powerful message about walking in light rather than darkness, embracing transparency about our struggles while experiencing the transformative power of grace. The episode concludes with a heartfelt reminder that authentic faith means bringing every decision before God first, living according to divine timing rather than human impatience. Through personal testimony and worship, discover how spiritual priorities bring the peace and purpose that worldly success never could. Ready to redefine what success means in your life? Listen now and join a journey toward what truly matters.
B-Rob. Here is the food for thought podcast is Monday, march 17th, and I hope you're having a great Monday. I hope you had a great Monday. Um, just want to give you a little inspiration on this Monday. Look at revelation 2015, and whoever was not found written in the book of life was cast in the lake of fire. That's a little meme that I shared today and it basically is success is not about your car, house, career or marriage. Success is when jesus Christ writes your name in his book of life. And can I get an amen and a hallelujah on that? That's very amazing things, and I just want to tell you that Jesus loves you, and if you have not found Jesus, then you should.
Speaker 1:If you're worried about anything, if you have doubt in your life, I mean you could have anything. You could be worried about an addiction, whether an addiction is a broad span. I mean it's alcohol, it's drugs, it's TV, it's phone, it's food, it's sex, it's women. There are many addictions. You could be addicted to porn. You could be addicted to porn. You could be addicted to anything. I mean, this world is a devil's playground and you have to keep Jesus at the forefront if you want to survive and um, the armor of god. The armor of god, I do believe. Let's see, I don't need the armor of god. There's, there's, uh, uh. I want to say let me check something real quick. But the armor of God is an amazing. There's a verse about it and I knew it yesterday, but I'm having a brain fart. I am seriously having a brain fart. But there's an amazing verse about the armor of God and it's Ephesians 6.11. That's what it is. So, ephesians 6.11. Let's take a look at that real quick. Ephesians 6.11. I was right. Yep, I was 100% right.
Speaker 1:Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil schemes. Okay, that's, that's an amazing verse. It really is. It goes on.
Speaker 1:For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers. Who might that be? What are we doing right now? We're waking up to all the false crap with doge. I mean, doge is like showing us that there are millionaires in our country because our government made a millionaires. This wild wild.
Speaker 1:For our struggle is not against fresh and blood, but it's against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God so that, when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground and, after you have done everything to stand, stand firm. Then, the belt of truth buckled around your waist man that's talking my alley right there, with the breastplate of righteousness in place and with your feet fitted, with the readiness that comes with the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith which, with which you can extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. So, my friends, what I'm telling you is, if you're not reading your Bible daily, you're not doing yourself any justice, because right now we are in those times that I just talked about. The day of evil comes, that I just talked about. The day of evil comes. Therefore, put on the full armor of God so that when the day of evil comes that's 613 Ephesians and that's if you're not reading the Bible, studying the Bible then you have no bullets in your gun. None, you can have an arsenal of an army, but if you don't have God, your bullets will fail, your bombs will fail, everything will fail. All right, I'm just'm just uh on it tonight, a little monday motivational. So put that armor of god on, whether it be you feeling down, you feeling uh, the uh pollens got you whatever. Get in the word man, get in word. I don't take any medications from over the counter because all they do is you know they're just making money off you, you're just. Those are symptoms. They do not solve the problem at all. They do not solve the problem. Put on the full armor of God and your problems will be solved, I promise you. I've seen it firsthand.
Speaker 1:I've had some crazy things and some amazing things go on the past week, but anyway, leading up to Bible school with Nikita Koloff, I'm supposed to read 1 John, first chapter, on Monday. Second chapter it's only five chapters, so it's monday through friday and then um. Last week was the first week, this week is the second week, so I'm gonna read you first john tonight. The incarnation of the word of life. That's a new Invitational, new invitational version is what I like to read.
Speaker 1:So first John, chapter one is today's lesson, that which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched. This we proclaim concerning the word of life. The life appeared. We have seen it and to testify it. And we proclaim to you the eternal life which was with the father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard so that you may also know the fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with the Son, jesus Christ.
Speaker 1:We write this to make out our joy complete. This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you God is light In him. There is no darkness at all If we, if we claim to have fellowship with him and yet we walk in darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his son, purifies us from sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and purify us from the unrighteousness. And just and will forgive our sins and purify us from the unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.
Speaker 1:Yes, that's great stuff. I mean, we're all hypocrites, especially if we don't claim that we sin, especially if we don't take it to the foot of the cross, especially if we don't talk to God. Everything we should do is should be in the name of Jesus. Hallelujah. I mean everything, everything, everything. You go make a car purchase, you should pray about it first, not afterwards. First Hallelujah. You go make any kind of purchase or any kind of major decision in your life, you should pray about it first. Hallelujah, guys, it's been a great Monday.
Speaker 1:I just want to give a shout out to my uh place of employment, my new place of employment, that's Crescent automotive, who has uh done great things for me and, um, we have, uh, it's been great. It's been a great two and a half weeks so far. So, uh, a half weeks so far. So, uh, hopefully everything works out and uh, it's on God, everything is on God. So, um, I just want to say I love you guys and uh, keep pressing on, no matter what. Um.
Speaker 1:You heard me read from Psalms last night. I mean, it is what it is God's going to do, what he's going to do, and things are going to happen the way they're going to happen on his time, not yours. So the more anticipation and anxiety you get, that is from the evil one. Any negativity in your head, swish it away. In Jesus name, I just want to say I love you guys, god bless you, and I'm going to leave you with this song that I played Saturday night at Champions Retreat Golf Course. At Champions Retreat Golf Course, which is a very nice private course and neighborhood in Evans, georgia. I think three golfers designed it One was Gary Player and I cannot remember the other ones, but it's always a great time there and I just want to share this uh moment with you, because I ended with, um, a nice song about faith and uh, jesus and uh how uh.
Speaker 1:Everybody has their own testimony, but you have to realize that you have a testimony. You have to give everything to God and then tell your story, and that's what this is about to bring other people to Christ. If you have not given your heart to Christ, then, um, there is a link down below where you can contact me and I'd love to talk to you and any questions you have about salvation and the sword of the spirit and the word of God. I would love to talk to you Anything I can do. I love you guys. Good night, god bless. Enjoy the song.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I don't know his feelings, but that's when I need it the most, so I won't keep on signing.
Speaker 2:Till my soul catches up with my song. There's times when my hands go up freely.
Speaker 3:Sometimes it Goes Days when the praise Comes out easy, days when it takes All the strength that I've got. I'll bring this Heartful, heartfelt Be through it. Hallelujah. I'll bring this storm Tossed on itself. Glory to tell. Hallelujah, oh, oh, god, you've been patient, god, you've been gracious. I pay for whatever I'm feeling and facing. Bring this, I felt. I felt it is well. Hallelujah, I'm feeling and facing. Bring this out there, out there, it is well. Hallelujah, oh, hallelujah. I've wrestled with the darkness but I'm trying to reach for the light. Yeah, the trouble keeps me honest and it breaks down the walls of my pride. Faces are moving like gold. Till they stand through. The fire was my pride. His face is a proven light. Go till it's dead through the fire.
Speaker 3:I hit up and that's when I leave this little pit higher. I'll bring his heart for I've built it through it hard. I'll bring this hot fog, hot milk into a hot new year. I'll bring this storm-tossed corn-sale story to tell how to do it. Whoa, whoa, gotta be patient, gotta be gracious, make for whatever I'm feeling or facing now. Bring His heart from heartfelt. It is well. Hallelujah, oh, oh, hallelujah, hallelujah, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Yeah, I'll break this time for all I've felt. Get new Hallelujah. I'll break this storm toss, throw and sell story to tell Hallelujah, whoa, god, you've been patient, god, you've been gracious, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.
