The Food for Thought Faithcast with Be Rob

Ep 1-Embracing God's Path- A Monday Motivational

Be Rob Season 2 Episode 1

Have you ever caught yourself trapped in a spiral of overthinking, desperately trying to force situations that just won't budge? This powerful season opener of Food for Thought challenges our need for control with a refreshingly simple truth: when doors repeatedly close, perhaps it's divine protection rather than bad luck.

Be Rob dives deep into the liberation that comes from surrendering our anxieties to God's greater plan. Drawing from Proverbs 3:5-6, he reminds us that trusting beyond our limited understanding often leads to unexpected blessings. "Stop overthinking it," he emphasizes throughout the episode. "If it's God's will, it will happen." This isn't passive resignation but active trust in divine timing and protection.

The centerpiece of this episode is a riveting personal testimony that exemplifies faith in action. During the aftermath of a hurricane, with gas stations powerless for miles and a fuel gauge reading empty, Be Rob follows an inexplicable inner prompting to keep driving rather than staying stranded. What happens next defies logical explanation as the vehicle continues 35 miles beyond what should have been possible. This real-world demonstration of walking by faith perfectly encapsulates the episode's core message: sometimes the greatest miracles happen when we trust beyond what seems reasonable.

Ready to release the mental burden of trying to control every outcome? Looking for practical spiritual guidance during uncertain times? This episode offers both comforting wisdom and challenging truth for anyone seeking peace amid life's unpredictable seasons. Listen through to the end for a beautiful performance of "Walk by Faith" that will inspire your own journey beyond overthinking into trust.

Speaker 1:

Hey guys, it's B-Rob here and it's the Food for Thought podcast. It's Monday, march 24th. I've had a great weekend. I sang for about four hours, so my voice is a little struggling but I'll be okay. And the pollen is terrible, but God is good and the King of Kings will overcome everything for us.

Speaker 1:

Just want to give you a little motivational today. Stop overthinking stuff. I mean, everybody gets in their own head, right? So stop overthinking. If it's God's will, it will happen. If it's not, god has a better plan. So just sit back and have peace, knowing that Every time you try to force something, something you want maybe it's physically, or maybe it's mentally, or maybe it's emotionally something you just have to have and you can't get it, I'm sorry, but that's God telling you you don't need it. Stop overthinking it. If it's God's will, it will happen, and that's God telling you you don't need it. Stop overthinking it. If it's God's will, it will happen, and that's a fact. God never sends you into a situation not knowing what you're going up against. He goes before you, he stands beside you and walks behind you. He walks in victory and victory alone. So I hope you guys don't get tired of winning, because we're going to keep winning.

Speaker 1:

Proverbs 3, verses 5 and 6, say trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not only on your own understanding. In all your ways, submit to him and he will make your path straight. So maybe you're trying to push for something. Maybe you're trying to push for something that you want, but God doesn't want you to have it. So maybe that's a blessing in disguise and you have to open your eyes, open your brain, open your heart and see that type of thing. And you have to pray, because you can sit there and make goals and manipulate your reality and try to do whatever you want to do, and that's grand and that's good and that's manifestation, whatever you want to call it. You can manifest whatever you want. But if the king of kings does not want it for you, I'm sorry, but it's just not going to happen. That's just not. You know, by manifesting, if you want to manifest properly, you need to put everything and give it to God and let him give you the direction and he will tell you exactly what to do and when to do it, because it's all about power of prayer. If you pray and you seek him in his face, then you have nothing to worry about. God is faithful. He will not let you be tempted beyond what you cannot bear, but when you are tempted, he will always provide a way out so that you can endure. That's 1 Corinthians, 10 through 13. 10 verse 13. Chapter 10 verse 13. Chapter 10, verse 13. That's 1 Corinthians. It's all about prayer, guys.

Speaker 1:

When life is good, you need to pray. When life is hard, you need to pray. I mean, if you've got time to stress, if you've got time to worry, if you've got time to like, oh my God, what am I going to do now? You have time to pray, right, do now. You have time to pray, right, so um be.

Speaker 1:

Another thing is don't don't just pray in secret. I mean, if somebody needs help, you need to pray for them right there, out loud, in public. I prayed for a lady at my show yesterday. She came over and wanted to hold hands with me and my wife and she had lost her mother in 2022. And then, two or three months later, she lost her father and he was a big wig in the FBI and her name. I'm not going to say it, but just pray for her. You know, if you've got a prayer list, pray for this lady. Okay, be the reason someone smiles today. My mom posted that today and I thought it was great Because you know, when you're the reason someone smiles, you will find out who is real in your life and who is not real in your life, because the non-real people only try to show, only try to throw shade on what shines right, the jealousy, the manipulation, the all the negative things that come from the evil. One try to do what to the light, shade it. So they throw shade. So it's pretty simple, pretty easy on how you can really set people apart, really, really. And you know I'm not perfect, nobody's perfect, but I am striving.

Speaker 1:

And today is season two, so this is episode one. So we're coming into a new season and let's talk about seasons for a minute. Ok, so we're going to take all the negative stuff that we found in the last season, which was season one of this podcast, and we're going to throw it away Just like I started and I was cussing and this, that and the other. We're going to throw it away Just like I started and I was cussing and this, that and the other. We're going to throw all that negative stuff away. Even B-Rob's got a new season coming.

Speaker 1:

This is spring. You know, april Fool's Day is actually supposed to be the first day of the year, that's why they call it April Fool's Day. But that's another episode for another time. Just know that spring is coming, spring babies, life is born and we're going to take this thing to another spiritual level and I thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for following me on this journey, this podcast, this faith cast and um. I hope it is a blessing to somebody out there. I hope it reaches somebody out there and um a dark place so they can see the light and the shade will be lifted from them.

Speaker 1:

Like I said, if you have time to worry, you have time to stress, you also have time to pray and God is faithful. Like I said 1 Corinthians, god is faithful. He will not let you be tempted beyond what you cannot bear, but when you are tempted, he will also provide you a way out. But you have to listen, you have to have faith, you have to open your heart and, with that said, guys, I'm going to um lead us with prayer. But I am going to share something from yesterday's um actually Saturday's uh show in uh Lake Murray and Leesville at a place called Buck's Pizza. There were really nice people and the place was amazing on the lake.

Speaker 1:

So, guys, dear Heavenly Father, we come to you today. We just thank you for your grace, lord. We thank you for your patience. We thank you for your mercy, lord. We thank you for your grace, lord. We thank you for your patience. We thank you for your mercy, lord. We thank you for your forgiveness, lord.

Speaker 1:

I mean, I think about my parents, my grandparents, my great-grandparents. They were blinded by the veil. I think about that constantly, lord. It takes me back to Jesus. It takes me back to Jesus on the cross, where they were dividing his clothes up, where they were just playing sports, just to have a piece of that history. And they were being evil, lord, and we thank you for forgiveness because Jesus said Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.

Speaker 1:

And those words alone mean so much. They mean so much because so many people have been under the veil and blind for so many years, lord. I thank you, lord, for just forgiveness of all their sins, forgiveness for their participation in it. Lord, they were walking blindly. They were followed, they were, they were led by the wrong, the wrong shepherd. Lord, they were led by the wrong shepherd, lord. They were not led by Jesus Christ, even though the message was there, they just did not know what they were doing. Lord, and I pray every day. I pray every day for the upcoming generations and hopefully that through you, I can be a voice for them, hopefully that through you, I can be a voice for them. And, lord, I just pray that you will lift them up. The children it's all about the children and the youth. Lord, please lift everybody up and just I thank you for your honesty. Lord, I thank you for just being amazing.

Speaker 1:

I mean you sent your son to die for us, lord, for our sins, to forgive us for our sins. It's simply amazing. Hallelujah, it's in Jesus' name we pray these things. Amen, guys, I love you. Listen to the testimony in the song and we'll see you on episode two and the song and we'll see you on episode two. Season two, episode two. This is episode one, no-transcript.

Speaker 2:

All right. So the day of the hurricane it was a Friday. It happened like overnight, Thursday night, and we woke up nothing, we had nothing. And I'm like supposed to play at Lake Oconee the same day, right. So I'm like, well, I know they didn't get hit because um, I just know they didn't get hit because it took a right turn, went down I-20 and crushed Augusta. So, no, Lake Oconee is like going it's halfway to like Atlanta.

Speaker 2:

So I was playing at Lake Oconee that night and I got in my 4Runner and it said 11 miles. And I'm like, well, ain't no gas stations within like 40 or 50 miles got power? Because I had already drove all over the city looking, hence only 11 miles in my gas tank. My wife drives a little escape. And it said 17 miles. So I was like, well, maybe Thompson has gas. So we got in the little escape and drove to Thompson and we got to the Thompson exit and it said zero miles to empty. Granted, it said 17 when I left, but it said zero miles to empty. So we went off off.

Speaker 2:

There's a waffle house and a big gas station loves, I think it is and there were like 200 people just crowding around and we were like, okay, let's see what this is about. We pull in and they got no power. Waffle house is cooking off a gas and it's hot and stinky in there. And so we sit there for like 45 minutes and I'm sitting there like trying to think, do I minutes? And something just told me, like something said get on the highway and keep going to your destination. So I said, baby, let's get in a car and drive up I-20. Worst can happen is Georgia DOT has gas and they say it's stranded. So we're better on the highway than we are with 200 people who are losing their minds because they don't have cell phone or gas and they don't know what to do. They're like literally looking at their phones like oh.

Speaker 2:

And so we get on the highway and Lord knows that little escape didn't drive. It was on Z Road, mind you. It drove 35 miles to where we found the first gas station. It just kept driving and I don't know what to tell you. But that's faith in God alone, because we got there and there was a line of cars, cops, and I was like I need to play at Lake Oconee in like 45 minutes and I'm out of gas. Like it says zero and I've been driving on zero for a long time. They said follow me. They got me right up to the front. We filled up and on we went and I made it like 10 minutes before I was supposed to play and it only takes me about 10 minutes to set up because of this nice setup.

Speaker 2:

And man, I'm going to tell that's, that's god alone, right there, like yeah, it's, there's no other explanation. I mean, because we were sitting at that gas station like we didn't know what we were gonna do because we didn't have nobody to call or anything, but something just told me and said brian, get on the road, b-rock, get on the road. And I did. And that, and I did. And that's crazy. So I'm going to play you this song. It's called Walk by Faith, and I hope you all listen to your heart instead of your brain sometimes and do the same thing. So here we go.

Speaker 3:

Will I believe you when you say your hand will guide my every way? Will I receive the word you say your hand will guide my every way? Will I receive the word you say Every moment of every day? And I will walk by faith, even when I cannot see. If it goes this broken road, it is your will for me. Will you help my endless fear? You've been so faithful for all of my years. With one breath, you make me. Your grace covers all that I do. Yeah, tonight you are my faith, even when I cannot see, if it closes the broken road. My faith, even when I cannot see, because this broken road is your will for me. While I'm broken, I still see your face and you've spoken and borne your words of grace. And I will walk by faith, even when I cannot see. Yeah, because this broken road Is your will for me. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. I love you.
