The Food for Thought Faithcast with Be Rob

Ep. 30- Prayer, Politics, and Patriotism: How Faith Shapes the New Administration

Be Rob Season 2 Episode 30

Faith takes center stage in American governance as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth boldly defends his decision to host Christian prayer services at the Pentagon. Despite criticism, Hegseth stands firm, citing historical precedent dating back to George Washington praying with troops. This restoration of open religious expression within military leadership signals a dramatic shift in the administration's approach to faith in the public square.

The spiritual dimension of politics comes into sharp focus as we explore the belief that Trump's cabinet faces not just political opposition but spiritual warfare. This perspective frames current events within a cosmic struggle between good and evil, suggesting that prayer protection is essential for the administration's success. Interestingly, a Q-Anon prediction from 2018 about "a parade that will never be forgotten" appears to align with Trump's newly announced military parade plans, raising eyebrows about long-term strategic planning.

Trump's vision for America's 250th anniversary proves expansive and ambitious - a year-long celebration beginning Memorial Day 2025 through July 4th, 2026. The comprehensive plan includes a Great American State Fair, athletic competitions branded as "Patriot Games," a National Garden of American Heroes, and a specific call for America's religious communities to participate through prayer. Meanwhile, the administration touts early wins: historic tax cuts, border security measures, the First Lady's Take it Down Act protecting youth from deepfakes, and gas prices hitting 20-year lows for Memorial Day. All this progress has supporters enthusiastically declaring "That's what I voted for!" - a resounding endorsement of promises fulfilled and expectations met. Speaker 1:

It's interesting.

Speaker 2:

The question is I've gotten some criticism for hosting a Christian prayer service at the Pentagon yesterday. We said it very publicly, we said it very publicly, we said it very proudly. Appealing to heaven, to God, is a long-standing tradition in our military. I'm very proud that we're starting a monthly voluntary service at the Pentagon. George Washington was on bended knee with the troops, praying for God's providence and protection. In that moment, chaplains and ministers and Christians and people of faith across generations have prayed because of the business that we're in, the business of the 82nd Airborne and you watch, that 911 button for the country is a dangerous one on behalf of all of us and we appeal to God, I appeal to Jesus Christ for that protection. We're going to speak that word and be open and willing to talk about that at the Pentagon.

Speaker 1:

Hey guys, it's B-Rob here. It's the Food for Thought podcast. That was the Secretary of Defense, the 29th Secretary of Defense, pete Hegseth, and as you heard him, he's gotten flack for basically doing Bible study. It's wild, huh. Guys, we need to pray real hard for a lot of these people that just took office with Trump. They're under a lot of scrutiny. I'm sure they're under tax. I'm sure there are people trying to put demonic spells on them. Remember, you can't believe in God and not believe in the other. Their witchcraft is real. I was actually watching a show with David Mustaine from Megadeth and he was absolutely talking about it and it was kind of eye opening. But this crazy stuff, guys, it's a great day. I just want to. I want to do some good clips today. We're going to do political stuff today, but, guys, pray for Trump, pray for his cabinet, pray for everything he is doing. I believe there is some very good stuff coming, and here is my boy, jordan Clark, on Twitter, so check out what he has to say right now.

Speaker 3:

Well, anyway, first, this is what I voted for. We got a huge, huge celebration coming up in July with this parade. Right, it's gonna be massive, like Trump's going all out here and told everybody, it's gonna be the biggest, biggest parade. The country deserves it. But you know, is this a coincidence? Hold on, you knew I was going there. Huh, yeah, the q board. You can go to the q board too. Qaddnews. Um, anyways, uh, back in 2018, it says a parade that will never be forgotten again. 2018, that's seven years ago. Just saying, who knows, might be a coincidence, might be a quinkity, but probably not. Love y'all.

Speaker 1:

Well, guys, that was Jordan Clark at. It's Jordan Clark on X and you heard him about the military parade. Heard him about the military parade and he is 100% speaking the truth. When let's see the date Q drop number 856, back on 3 6 2018, the post says a parade that will never be forgotten. Ask yourself why. God bless our brave men and women in uniform. We will never forget. Signed Q. You can find the Q board at Q a G G dot news. Let me double check that to make sure I'm telling you the truth. Yep, q A G G dot news. It's still there. Um, so that was seven years ago, right? Hmm, weird coincidence. Yeah, remember, uh, trump retweeted a picture and it had him and it had a Q plus on his collar. Yeah, trump re his collar. Yeah, trump re truth. That, yeah, coincidence, I don't know. But back to that parade. Let's hear with the maestro Donald Trump has to say about the parade. Here he is.

Speaker 4:

Three years from now, the United States will celebrate the biggest and most important milestone in our country's history 250 years of American independence. What a great country. We have to keep it that way, but that's why, as a nation, we should be preparing for a most spectacular birthday party. We want to make it the best of all time. Here is my plan to give America's founding in 1776 the incredible anniversary it truly deserves.

Speaker 4:

On day one, I will convene a White House task force called Salute to America 250. It will be responsible for coordinating with state and local governments to ensure not just one day of celebration, but an entire year of festivities across the nation, starting on Memorial Day 2025 and continuing through July 4th 2026. Second, I will work with all 50 governors, republican and Democrat alike, to create the Great American State Fair, a unique one-year exhibition featuring pavilions from all 50 states. It'll be something. One-year exhibition featuring pavilions from all 50 states It'll be something. The Great American State Fair will showcase the glory of every state in the union, promote pride in our history and put forth innovative visions for America's future. My hope is that the amazing people of Iowa will work with my administration to open up the legendary Iowa State Fairgrounds to host the Great American State Fair and welcome millions and millions of visitors from around the world to the heartland of America for this special one-time festival. Together we will build it and they will come.

Speaker 4:

Third, alongside the Great American State Fair, we will host major sporting contests for high school athletes. These are great athletes, wonderful athletes from fantastic high schools all around the country. These Patriot Games will allow young Americans from every state to show off the best of American skills, sportsmanship and competitive spirit. Fourth, I will sign an executive order to bring back our National Garden of American Heroes, which we want to build very badly. Commission artists for the first 100 statues to populate this new statuary park honoring the greatest Americans of all time.

Speaker 4:

Fifth, as president, I will invite the leaders and citizens of nations around the world to visit the United States in honor of our 250th anniversary. It's going to be great. America's tourist industry should get ready because we're going to have a lot of people coming. It will be a record year. And finally and most importantly, I will ask America's great religious communities to pray for our nation and our people as we prepare for this momentous occasion. From the very beginning, america has been a country sustained and strengthened by prayer and by our communities of faith as we chart a course toward the next 250 years. Let us come together and rededicate ourselves as one nation under God. Thank you.

Speaker 1:

Well, folks, there you have it from the horse's mouth himself. Mr Trump, president Trump and man, I'm telling you I voted for that. I'm just saying it's amazing. Things are going to happen. Just you wait and see. Just you wait and see. Don't ask me how I know these things. I just do. I'll tell you about it. I'll tell you about it so you better understand it, but I'm not going to tell you right now. So, anyways, I'm going to play one more clip and then we're going to be done for today's podcast. But, guys, tomorrow's Sunday, mount up, get your God on, make sure your prayers stay tight, make sure you walk in a room and light it up. You know what I'm saying. I mean be a blessing. There's power of death and life, or life and death in the tongue. Are you speaking blessings over people or you speaking spells on people? That's up to you. Here's a clip I want to leave you with. And, guys, god bless you. I love you, guys, jesus loves you, and this is what I voted for. Food for thought, baby.

Speaker 5:

Hey everybody, happy Friday. It was another very busy week here at the White House with President Trump. Let's go through it for the MAGA Minute. This week, president Trump visited Capitol Hill to bring the historic, one Big, beautiful Bill over the finish line. This bill is going to put more money back in your pockets, it's going to keep your communities safe, deliver the largest middle class tax cut in American history, fund deportations and the completion of the border wall, and it's going to kick 1.4 million illegal aliens off of your taxpayer-funded benefits. Also, on the legislative front, the president signed the First Lady's sponsored Take it Down Act ensuring protections for young people who are targets of malicious deepfakes and personal attacks on social media.

Speaker 5:

President Trump also attended the Make America Healthy Again Commission's release of its landmark report, which exposes key factors contributing to childhood chronic diseases and points to a path forward to make our children healthy again. The president hosted the White House's annual Take Our Sons and Daughters to Work Day celebration. President Trump also announced an implementation plan for the Golden Dome to protect our nation from wide-ranging global missile threats. He also hosted the South African president at the White House and signed executive orders to start a nuclear renaissance in the United States. The president also hosted a law enforcement event in the Oval Office and awarded the first ever Medals of Sacrifice to three heroic police officers. And finally, gas prices have dropped this Memorial Day to their lowest price in more than 20 years. You're welcome, america, wishing you a blessed Memorial Day weekend and we will see you for next week's MAGA Minute.

Speaker 1:

How's all that winning sound guys? Oh yeah, oh yeah. That's what I voted for. That's what I voted for. That's what I voted for. That's what I voted for. Give it up. God is so good. Yeah, god is so good. What I voted for. Cause God is so good. Guys, nothing can stop what's coming. God is so good. Let's go. It's what I voted for. That's what I voted for. Yeah, that's what I voted for. That's what I voted for. Yeah, that's what I voted for. That's what I voted for. Yeah, that's what I voted for.
