Fourth Quarter Mindset
What happens when rules say wait and reality screams move? We open with a hard-edged coaching philosophy that prizes physicality and fourth quarter grit, then plunge into a chilling cockpit moment: a powerless jet, a storm ahead, and a pilot begging for a runway while procedures demand paperwork. That friction—between protocol and judgment—threads through every story that follows.
We bring in a chorus of veteran lawmakers addressing the military and intelligence community about refusing illegal orders, invoking the Constitution and the weight of the oath. Then we balance it with a forceful response from the White House warning that the chain of command is the spine of national security. It’s a raw debate about duty, conscience, and the point where lawful authority meets personal responsibility. You’ll hear why messaging matters, how it can steady a nation—or shake it.
From there, we step into an oversight clash on spending priorities that’s equal parts sharp and revealing. A viral parable reframes welfare through the lens of incentives, sparking honest questions about dignity and the design of safety nets. We examine AI creeping into worship music and what authenticity means when art loses a human author. We also weigh the trades against expensive degrees, spotlighting real demand and real paychecks that don’t require four years in a lecture hall. Along the way, a shop owner’s kindness meets a kid’s character, humor punctures posturing, and a short testimony calls us back to purpose and putting God first.
If you care about leadership under pressure, the integrity of institutions, the future of work, and the soul of culture, this conversation is for you. Hit follow, share this with a friend who loves spirited debate, and leave a review with the moment that challenged you most—where do you draw the line between rules and judgment?
Uh yeah, it's it's it's it's the approach we take. We're gonna we're gonna dominate and try to win the fourth quarter. It's it's what we do in practice, it's what we do in the offseason, it's what we build our core culture around is uh being a more physical team. You have to recruit physical players and they have to buy into that process. I don't know that a lot of these kids nowadays they want to check. They don't want physicality. And if you you have the check and no physicality, you end up with nothing. So we're not just getting checks at our place. We're we're hitting people may day, mayday, and mayday.
SPEAKER_07:American 283 declaring total electrical failure. We've lost primary and backup buses, no autopilot, no navigation, transponder intermittent, operating on emergency battery only power time estimated six minutes, requesting immediate vectors and priority trade and approaches to Dallas Warwick.
SPEAKER_17:American 283 negative, the advised VIP convoy departure in progress, runway and agreement restricted. Before clearance, we'll need confirmation of aircraft status. You will be sold on board and cargo manifest verification.
SPEAKER_07:ATC, we are blind in the content. We don't have time for a checklist of paperwork. We need a runway.
SPEAKER_17:American 283, procedures are mandatory. Without complete declaration and documentation, you will not be cleared to approach.
SPEAKER_07:We're down to four minutes of power, no nav, no radar. Storm sell ahead. You want documentation? I've got 172 souls on board, and that's the only list that matters right now.
SPEAKER_17:American 283, hold position until verification received. Any unauthorized descent will result in FAA enforcement.
SPEAKER_07:Copy that, but listen, you can enforce the rules after we're on the ground.
SPEAKER_17:American 283, last advisory. Unauthorized approach will result in immediate review and possible license suspension.
SPEAKER_07:Understood. American 283 committing to land, cockpit star, captain flying by instinct.
SPEAKER_06:I'm Senator Alyssa Sotkin.
SPEAKER_09:Senator Mark Kelly, Representative Chris Deluzio.
SPEAKER_06:Congresswoman Matty Goodland. Representative Chrissy Houlihan.
SPEAKER_09:Congressman Jason Crow. Yeah, I was a captain in the United States Navy.
SPEAKER_06:Former CIA officer.
SPEAKER_09:Former Navy. Former paratrooper and Army Ranger.
SPEAKER_06:Former intelligence officer. Former Air Force.
SPEAKER_09:We want to speak directly to members of the military. And the intelligence community who take risks each day to keep Americans safe.
SPEAKER_06:We know you are under enormous stress and pressure right now. Americans trust their military.
SPEAKER_09:But that trust is at risk. This administration is pitting our uniformed military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens. Like us.
SPEAKER_10:You all swore an oath to protect and defend this constitution.
SPEAKER_09:But right now, the threats to our constitution aren't just coming from abroad, but from right here at home. Our laws are clear. You can refuse illegal orders.
SPEAKER_06:You can refuse illegal orders.
SPEAKER_09:You must refuse illegal orders.
SPEAKER_06:No one has to carry out orders that violate the law or our constitution.
SPEAKER_09:We know this is hard and that it's a difficult time to be a public servant. But whether you're serving in the CIA, in the Army, our Navy, the Air Force, your vigilance is critical.
SPEAKER_06:And know that we have your back.
SPEAKER_09:Because now, more than ever.
SPEAKER_06:The American people need you.
SPEAKER_09:They need you to stand up for our laws, our Constitution, and who we are as Americans. Don't give up. Don't give up. Don't give up the ship.
SPEAKER_06:Don't give up the ship.
SPEAKER_18:Um, hold up. Shut the front no. Um what was that? No, seriously. What? What was that? That was your congressman. Are you kidding me? Whoa! These people get real dumb. TDS is crazy, huh? My name's B. Rob, and this is food at all. Let's see what the White House has to say about it.
SPEAKER_16:You have sitting members of the United States Congress who conspired together to orchestrate a video, a message to members of the United States military, to active duty service members, to members of the national security apparatus, encouraging them to defy the president's lawful orders. The sanctity of our military rests on the chain of command. And if that chain of command is broken, it can lead to people getting killed, it can lead to chaos, and that's what these members of Congress who swore an oath to abide by the Constitution are essentially encouraging. We have 1.3 active duty service members in this country. And if they hear this radical member message from sitting members of Congress, that could inspire chaos and it could incite violence, and it certainly could disrupt the chain of command. These three members of Congress, I will also add, knew exactly what they were doing. You look at Alyssa Slotkin, she's a former member of the CIA. Mark Kelly was a captain in the U.S. Navy. Maggie Goodlander was a naval officer, and notably she was also, she is also the wife of Joe Biden's national security former advisor, Jake Sullivan. And so these members knew what they were doing. They were leading into their credentials as former members of our military, as veterans, as former members of the national security and apparatus to signal to people serving under this commander-in-chief, Donald Trump, that you can defy him and you can betray your oath of office. That is a very, very dangerous mess message, and it perhaps is punishable by law. I'm not a lawyer. I'll leave that to the Department of Justice and the Department of War to decide.
SPEAKER_10:I have to tell you directly and personally that I regret voting for you for Secretary of State. I yield back.
SPEAKER_00:May I respond? You may say. Well, first of all, your regret for voting for me confirms I'm doing a good job.
SPEAKER_10:That's a direct open statement, Mr. Secretary.
SPEAKER_00:Can I respond, Mr. Chairman? Yep. First of all, I'm actually very proud of the work we have done with U.S.AID. For example, I don't regret cutting$10 million for male circumcisions in Mozambique. I don't know how that makes us stronger and more prosperous as a nation. To this point.$14 million for social cohesion in Mali, whatever the hell that means. We can go on and on. I got the list here, and there's more than I didn't even bring the whole list. In the case of El Salvador, absolutely, absolutely, we deported gang members. Gang members, including the one you had a margarita with.
SPEAKER_01:I recently asked my friend's little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be the president of the United States. Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there. So I asked her, if you were president, what would be the first thing you would do? Well, she replied, I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people. Her parents beamed. Wow, what a worthy goal, I told her. But you don't have to wait until you're president to do that. You see, you can come over to my house right now, and you can mow the lawn, pull weeds, and sweep my driveway, and I'll pay you$50. Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where that homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the$50 to use toward food and a new house. She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work and you can just pay him the$50? I said, Welcome to the Republican Party. Her parents are still not speaking to me.
SPEAKER_21:Things that invite darkness into your life without you, realizing constant complaining and negativity, listening to ungodly music daily, watching things that normalize sin. Speaking curses or negative words over yourself, envying people instead of praying for them. Keeping friendships that mock your faith. Ignoring conviction from the Holy Spirit.
SPEAKER_03:The number one album right now for Christian music on iTunes and the number two top singles over Elevation, Brandolake, whoever, is AI. And I hate to even bring attention to this, but I want to just let you guys know this is out there. And I think it's important that we just pause a little bit and kind of ask the questions of like, is this something that we want? At minimum, AI does not have the Holy Spirit inside of it. So I think that's really weird to be opening up your spirit to something that has no spirit. So what what are we doing about this? Are we are we rejecting this? Are we championing this? I personally uh will not be listening to this. I already don't listen to secular music, uh, and I'm sure not gonna be listening to AI, Christian music. God bless you guys, and uh yeah, I just want to bring that to your attention.
SPEAKER_05:This store owner has a tradition. Whenever a kid brings in good grades, he lets them pick anything they want for free.
SPEAKER_20:My name is Ryan, and I'm gonna show you my report card. Uh 85.
SPEAKER_19:Let's go. You see? Guys, you see that? 75 to 85. You get to grab whatever you want. Go ahead, grab it.
SPEAKER_04:The kid then decided to grab bread, eggs, and milk for his family instead of himself.
SPEAKER_19:That's all you want. Keep going, man. Grab whatever you want. I can sell it. For Mother's Day? Yeah. Of course, man. Oh, man. That's nice, man. You know what? I sell these. You give her this too for Mother's Day. I sell these for$35. But I got you, all right? I'll pay for it for you. That's all you want? Alright. Thank you, Allah.
SPEAKER_08:You're welcome. But if you guys want to be a millionaire, go become a carpenter. I mean, that's where the money is right now. Because we send all of our kids to the to just oh good, you know, laptop class and not the muscular class. Again, if you want to be here, go ahead. It's just, you know, I think you guys know we can. Once you're outside of college, you'd be like, oh my goodness, that was a waste of four years.
SPEAKER_22:Okay, but question you guys, if everybody here went into carpentry. Yes, which won't happen. It won't. But that's what you're advising us to do. If we all went into carpentry.
SPEAKER_08:Why it won't happen? Because your parents won't treat you as well. My I come from a trade family, so you guys, if you told your parents to become a plumber, they'd say go back to college, you lost your mind. Yeah, everyone. The point being is that, like, our par your parents think that success is getting some stupid piece of paper when there's millions of dollars waiting for you to be made. Millions. But is that college being dishonest? Is that because of course, first of all, it's scamming you on the price. You guys are paying way too much money to be here. You're here for too long. You guys could get what you need in literally a year and a half.
SPEAKER_14:Ma'am, he says you yelled at him again. I yell, I just used the volume God gave me. He keeps acting grown, but still on my Wi-Fi. Man, whatever. He can move out when he learned how to move up. Alright, alright, let's keep the peace today.
SPEAKER_13:Only thing Lord in them grades is your boy, you out here writing tickets like you own the place.
SPEAKER_22:Just doing my job, ma'am.
SPEAKER_13:Son, you look like a Renicopter got left on layaway. That's cold, ma'am. Cold? Baby, that's a light breathing, son.
SPEAKER_14:You out here trying to look tough, but you built like a refrigerator with arms. Don't puff your chest at me. Ma'am. Uh-huh. Don't ma'am me. You got them baby cheeks and thinking you intimidating. Boy, I've been. Now listen here, big man. You knocked on my door like you paying the mortgage. You don't pay no bills here, do you? No, ma'am. Then quit knocking like down my ass, all right? Why your vest so tight? You look like a can of busted biscuits. Don't take a deep breath before you pop a scene. My name Pat. You ain't riding me no ticket, baby. I've been driving longer than you've been alive.
SPEAKER_00:Ma'am, you were going 40 in a 25.
SPEAKER_13:You were born slow, so what's your excuse? Ha! Ma'am, go ahead and tell them what you just told me. I said, son, them shoes look like they lost the custody battle for your ankles. Oh, come on. That hoodie, it's hanging on for dear life like a hairline at 25. Boy, get a mirror.
SPEAKER_08:God has this beautiful, amazing, wonderful life for you, and if you give your life to Christ, your life will infinitely improve. I'm a sinner, I'm selfish, I'm broken, and only thanks to Jesus' perfect sacrifice, coming and living a perfect life, that I get something I do not earn, but has been given to me this free gift of eternal life. I literally don't care about what people say about me. There is a God, and I am not Him. I'm just flesh and bone, but more importantly, I'm a soul. And that soul is accountable to one being, to the Lord.
SPEAKER_15:Put God first in everything you do, every move, every plan, every dream. The Bible says in Matthew 6 33, seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. That's not advice, that's a promise. Put God first.
SPEAKER_18:Yeah, they're not gonna show you this side of Donald Trump. How did you feel about winning? How did you feel?
SPEAKER_20:A de good. Uh there fab. Ovo pan tam ovo.
SPEAKER_11:Whoa. That's not bad. Thank you. Mr.
SPEAKER_12:President, Jane was telling us beforehand, we were waiting in the Roosevelt room. She was sharing that she was so excited that her dad and she both have the same color hair as you.
SPEAKER_11:I hope you have some beautiful head of hair. You like some hair. Thank you. Say hello to your dad, right?
SPEAKER_20:No, I'll tell you what. My dad died. And my mom too.
SPEAKER_11:You're in the Oval Office, and they're looking down on you, and they see gold, right? That's gold. That's really something, and they're very proud of you, right? So, congratulations, Tom.
