SPEAKER_00:

Hey guys, it's B-Robb. It is the Food for Thought Faithcast. And I thank you, FaithCast fam, for tuning in today on this lovely Sunday. It's about 20 degrees outside. It's January 25th. And I'm not going outside. I'm just saying. It's too cold for this southern boy. Like, I took the dolls out this morning, and um I was like, it ain't that cold. About 20 minutes in, you can't feel your feet. I mean 20 seconds, not 20 minutes. I ain't staying out there 20 minutes. Shoot. But the dogs didn't even want to go out. They like, uh-uh. Frenchie boys, they'd be like, nah, dad, I'm good. I'm gonna pee on the carpet. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Guys, it's a good day. Um, this is going to be part five of the Bible study that we have been doing in 1 John. And it's going to be a fabulous one. But before we do that, before we do that, let's let's uh guys, have you ever wondered why chicken coops only have two doors? Well, if they had any more, they'd be chicken sedans. Yeah, I'm gonna give credit to my uh buddy Pastor Jackie Heel on that one. I thought it was pretty funny, but um Jackie is the pastor of Roseville Baptist Church up in Minnesota, and um, I want you guys to pray. Pray for those guys um simply because they're right in the middle of everything. Yeah, that I mean they're sitting right there in the middle of everything going on publicly and nationally, and um, the spotlight obviously is on Minnesota for some reason. I think a lot of it's staged. I think we're watching a movie just to kind of wake everybody up and to kind of get everybody on board to where we're going. We couldn't just Donald Trump couldn't just be elected back in 2016, 2017, and then go out and arrest people because you know, then he would have looked like a tyrant. We had to show the people how crooked things are in the country and how blinded we have become as Christians and and citizens. Just, I mean, our sovereignty was being taken away inch by inch. And, you know, Operation Warp Speed was a military operation and still is, and basically, it's to get the enemy to unfold their hand before they should. So COVID had to be rushed, everything was rushed because Donald Trump won. Um she wasn't supposed to lose. Hillary was not supposed to lose. But anyway, let's get off that subject. Um, Roseville Baptist Church and uh Pastor Jackie Hill, please keep them in your prayers as uh everything that's going on right now, just keep them in your prayers. Let's uh, if you have your Bibles, let's uh turn to 1 John chapter 5. We're gonna be reading from there and and just just John's gonna close this letter with confidence. Not arrogance, but confidence. So listen, listen to, I'm gonna read the chapter. It's a short chapter. And um verse 1, everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves his child as well. This is how we know that we love the children of God by loving God and carrying out his commands. In fact, this is love for God to keep his commandments. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even in our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. Now, John says faith basically overcomes the world. Like God didn't come, God didn't save you to keep you guessing. He saved you so you could know. Faith overcomes the world, not your willpower, not how hard you work or how hard you grind or how much money you make, but faith in Jesus overcomes the world. Your victory is not in you. Your victory is not in how many shows you can play if you're a musician, not how much money you can make if you're in sales, not how many pharmaceuticals you can sell if you're in medicine, but your victory is in him, not in this world. So let's keep moving on. Verse 6 This is the one who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ. He did not come by water alone, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify the Spirit, the water, and the blood. And the three are in agreement. We accept human testimony, but God's testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which He has given about His Son. Whoever believes in His Son accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe in God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his son. And this is the testimony. God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his son. Whoever has the son has life. Whoever does not have the son of God does not have life. Like I said, the victory is not in you, it's in Jesus. John says, I write this so you may have eternal life. God doesn't want you stressed out. God doesn't want you constantly doubting. He wants you secure and confident. God did not rescue you to leave you insecure. I promise. I promise. Verse 13, I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. That's what I'm talking about. 14 says, This is the confidence we have in approaching God, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. Keep praying, guys. Verse 15. And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have what we asked of him. Just keep praying. Keep praying. Verse 16. If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray, and God will give them life. Told you. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that. All wrongdoing is sin, and there is a sin that does not lead to death. Do you guys understand? We sin all the time, and we should pray for our brothers and sisters, children of God. The world is constantly a big thorn bush, and it's easy to get pricked. And guys, girls, if you see a brother and sister sin that doesn't cause death, pray for them. Because God will heal them. Because they are children of God. And by your faith they will be healed if you pray. That's in the Bible, too. Verse 18. We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin. The one who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them. We know that we are children of God, and the whole world is under control of the evil one. We know also that the Son of God is come and has given us understanding so that we may know him who is true, and we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. Dear children, keep yourselves from idols. So John ends with keep yourselves from idols. What is an idol? What is an idol? Let's uh look at this. I know what an idol is. It's anything that takes its place of God. Let's ask Chat G what it thinks. What is an idol? Have a little fun. Let's see what it says. It says, good question. It says an idol that takes anything that takes the place of God in your heart. Trust or devotion. Boom. Boom. There you go. It's right there. It's right there. Even these young kids that are playing college football in the NFL now, they're they're they're uh praying before the games and after the games. They probably praying during the games. Because they was raised right. You know. But yes, an idol is anything that takes God's place in your heart. You see, in this world, good things can become God things if you're not careful. You see, if it replaces God, it becomes a problem. If you're falling asleep with a TV on and you're not reading the Bible before you go to bed, then you it might be a problem. You know, if you only pray to God at last resort, then you might need to reevaluate your life. If the only time you pray to God is when you have a problem, you're sick, then you need to reevaluate your life. Because the truth is, the truth is, if you walk in the light, love is for real. And if you live as God's child, you will hold the truth and the love, and you will walk in confidence. So, guys, if you don't have a relationship with Jesus, you better get right. And we're not gonna end right there. I'm just saying. If you don't have a relationship with Jesus, you better get right. Well, guys, um, keep everybody in the path of the storm in your prayers. In fact, let's let's go to the Lord in prayer. Let's end with prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you today, Lord. We just thank you. We thank you um for your presence. We thank you for giving us life. We thank you for calling us children of God. We thank you for sending your Son so that we can be called children of God. Lord, I just pray for our country during these times. I pray for everybody in this storm's path. I pray for peace of mind and safety for all in the path. I pray for warmth. I pray for security. Lord, be with them. Lord, please be with everybody up in Minnesota, Lord. Be with Roseville Baptist Church, be with Pastor Jackie Hill as he shepherds his flock through these trying times. Lord, give them peace. Give them peace of mind knowing that you are there, that they are children of God, and that we are praying for them, Lord, in your son's name. Lord, I pray that they all have the blood of Christ over their front door. Everybody in the storm's path, everybody in Minnesota. Lord, just keep your hand on everybody. Lord, and we just thank you for being so good. We thank you for being so amazing. And Lord, please forgive us for things we do that we don't know, but that we do. Ritualistic traditions, Lord, please forgive us for those. Lord, please help us break the generational curses that have kept us binded for decades, Lord. Just be with us all. Be with the country, be with the world. Be with all the children, Lord, that that our future may be bright. Lord, that that you will be with them for all time. Lord, we love you. We thank you, and we pray these things in Jesus' holy precious name. Amen and hallelujah. Guys, thank you for tuning in today. I just want to say, go out and check out the book, Discernment, that I wrote. It's called Discernment A Generationally Cursed Society. A wake-up call for a generationally cursed society.
