We examine how engineered foods exploit the brain’s bliss point and why pizza so often doubles as a pacifier. Then we turn to identity, image, and faith, arguing for heart transformation over surface change and ending with a practical path to capture thoughts and walk in freedom.

• how salt, refined flour and processed dairy drive cravings and thirst
• why pizza parties replace real solutions at work and home
• shaving the beard and the shock of a changed self-image
• God values the heart over appearance, not optics
• whitewashed faith versus inner renewal and honesty
• David’s flaws and a repentant heart that returns
• guarding the heart and setting inputs that shape it
• practical steps to capture thoughts and replace lies with truth

Hey guys, it's B-Ro, and it's Wednesday, February 25th. We're gonna do two. We're gonna this is gonna be a short one. Um, I wanted to give you some food for thought. Somebody sent me this on Facebook. This is from uh a Facebook guy, a digital creator by the name of Jewel Fatila. And um you should check him out if you got a Facebook because his stuff will make you think. His stuff will make you think. This post it says pizza isn't just for dinner, it is a biological weapon, it is the most successful drug delivery system ever invented. Think about it. Um I was so interested when I when I saw this and read this, I was like, woof. Um, because you guys do know that pizza is a symbol for pedophilia. Like hot dog hamburger, you know, just it's crazy. Anyway, let's get back to the uh, he says, think about it. What is the first thing a boss does when morale is low? He refuses to give you a raise, but he throws a pizza party. What do you give a room full of screaming children to shut them up? Pizza. It is the universal pacifier, and that is by design. The food industry engineered the bliss point. Check this out. Pay attention here. They discovered that if you combine refined wheat, processed dairy, and high sodium, you create a substance that overrides your brain stop signals. You're not eating food, you're eating a chemical experiment. Number one, the dough is the weapon. Food scientists have a secret bread is invisible salt. A single slice of pizza crust contains more sodium than a bag of chips. This dehydrates your cells and triggers thirst. It's called the upsell mechanism. So the pizza then forces you to buy sugar water, which is soda, to wash it down. Number two, the kill shot is the cheese. Dairy contains a protein called cassian. When digested, it breaks down into basomorphins. Read that word again. Morphins. These are opiate peptides that attach to the same brain receptors as heroin, just much weaker level. So basically, they literally drug you that warm, happy feeling after you get a slice of pizza, and Lord do I know, because that was my favorite food growing up. I don't really like it anymore. It's kind of weird. We'll talk about that another day. But that warm, happy feeling you get after you get a slice of pizza, that isn't satisfaction, that is called sedation. The food coma is not by accident, it is a feature. The system loves pizza because it creates a population that is heavy, slow, and docile. It creates workers who are happy enough not to revolt but too sluggish to escape. So next time you see that cardboard box, look closer. It isn't a treat. It's a muzzle. And rules are rules. That was Jewel Felicia Fatilia on Facebook. Check it out. And guys, that was food for thought. We'll be back soon with a good hump day message an episode. But until then, get right. I don't know if that was jazz or funk. I don't know. I just made that stuff up right here on the computer. So it was pretty cool, is all I know. But I told you uh we're gonna do another episode, but we're just gonna combine it because that was only four minutes. So we are back, and I'm going to be talking about something personal today that hit me recently in the past 48 hours. We're gonna call this, and I have a song that I wrote kind of about the same thing. This is gonna be called A Mirror Tales a Thousand Lies Beyond the Mirror, God looks at the heart. So I'm gonna start with something personal. So like uh not yesterday, but the day before. The day before I uh shaved my beard for the first time in many, many years. So and and and remember, I'm I lost a bunch of weight. I was heaviest point two sixty-five. Now I'm at 175. So, you know, I got some skin hanging. I'm trying to tone that up, you know. It's but I shaved my beard for the first time in many years, and I ain't gonna lie, it scared me at first. I hated it. I mean, I looked in the mirror and thought, who is that dude? I uh looked a lot like my biological father who I only met a couple times, and he was a heroin and cocaine addict. And you know, that's a whole nother story. I wrote a song called Blue Eye Baby Boy about that. But this, like I said, I was like, who is this dude? I felt I felt like I done chopped off my mojo. It felt strange, like I was exposed. I even it was it was uh I was I was kind of uncomfortable in my own skin at first, if that makes sense. You know, and you sit there in your head and you're like wonder what people are gonna think. And I'm I'm so guilty about this. So I mean it really hit me on how quickly appearance affected how I felt about myself, like my appearance, and that's a problem with me, and I'm sure it might be a problem with other people, so it got me thinking like how often do we judge ourselves and others just based on the surface, like based on the appearance. You see, while I was stuck looking at the mirror, every time I walk past one, God reminded me of something timeless. God reminded me that He does not look at appearance, he looks at the heart. So, like, to back that up and anchor that with Scripture, if you look at 1 Samuel 16, 7, he says, the Lord does not look at things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. And you see, this comes right at the moment when God is choosing Israel's next king because he basically put a curse on Saul because Saul mocked him and disobeyed him. You see, Samuel sees all the sons of Jesse, and they're all tall, strong, impressive, and he assumes one of them must be the one who is going to be anointed as the king. But God stops him and says, You're looking at the wrong thing. You see, God wasn't impressed by height, strength, or image or outward appearance, he was searching for a heart that aligned with him. You see, in a world that is so obsessed with image, a world where the culture is so obsessed with outward appearances, we have social media filters, we've got camera filters, we've got branding, we've got clothing, we've got hairstyles, we've got beard styles, we've got titles, we've got platforms, yada yada yada, yada yada yada. Even in church, if we're honest, if we're being honest, look at the modern church. Images everything. Lights, cameras, action. Who can get the most streams? You see, in Matthew, if you turn your Bibles to Matthew chapter 23, verses 27 and 28, Jesus addressed this particular thing. It says, What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees, hypocrites, for you are like whitewashed tombs, beautiful on the outside, but filled on the inside with dead people's bones and all sorts of impurity. Outwardly you look like righteous people, but inwardly your hearts are filled with hypocrisy and lawlessness. You see, Jesus was not being gentle here. Ask yourself why. Because external holiness without internal transformation is 100% empty. It's like looking in the freezer, and there's a box of ice cream sandwiches, but there ain't no ice cream sandwiches in the box. That might be a bad analogy because those things are very bad for you, but you you you you catch you picking up what I'm dropping. You can look right and still be wrong on the inside. You can sound spiritual and still be far from God. You see, when I shaved my beard, I realized how much I had tied part of me and my identity to how I looked. And see, that my friend, is symbology, I'm symbol symbolism, and it's not just about facial hair. That's about all of us. Who doesn't tie part of their identity to maybe their success, maybe their past, maybe their reputation, maybe their failures, or maybe how others look at us. You see, that's modern culture. But you see, God never said, I chose you because you looked apart. But in Psalms 139, verse 1 and 2, he says, I chose you because I know your heart. He says, Oh Lord, you have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up. You discern my thoughts from afar. You see, God knows the real you. You can dress up however you want. You can put on whatever facade you want. But God knows the real you, not the filtered you, not just the Sunday morning you, but the actual real you. God knows your heart. And He wants transformation. He doesn't want surface change, He doesn't want you to have a new suit. He doesn't want all that. He doesn't care if you shaved your beard or not. You see, modern religious focuses on behavior modification. The word of God focuses on heart transformation. I'm gonna say that again. Modern religion focuses on behavior modification. But the word of God and the God of hosts focus on heart transformation. If you turn your Bibles to Ezekiel chapter 36, verse 26, it says, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you. I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. If you look at that, you see, God doesn't start by changing how you look. He starts by changing who you are becoming. Jesus said it clearly. If you turn your Bible to Matthew chapter 15, verses 18 and 19, but the things that come out of a person's mouth come from the heart. And these defile them. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. You see, God knows all these things. The heart is the source. And see, if God has your heart, your life will follow God. You see, David was a man after God's heart. David was not perfect, he failed publicly, he sinned deeply, he committed murder, he committed adultery. Yet in Acts 13, 22, God said this about David. I have found David, son of Jesse, a man after my own heart. He will do everything I want him to do. You see, David was a sinner, but David had a repentant heart. You see, David was an adulterer, but David had a worshiping heart. You see, David was a murderer, but David was dependent on God. And that is what God values. He doesn't value your past, your perfection. He doesn't need you to be perfect. He just needs you to surrender. He just needs you to surrender. So ask yourself today. What does God see when he looks at your heart? What does God see when he looks at your heart? Not your Facebook, not your Instagram, not your church attendance, not your reputation, but your heart. Look at Proverbs chapter four, verse twenty three. Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. One more time. Proverbs 4 23. Above all else, guard your heart for everything you do flows from it. You see, God isn't act asking for you to look better, He's asking for you to come closer. To look closer, not better. You see, it was a fact. When I shaved my beard, I felt exposed. I felt different. I felt exposed. But maybe exposure is exactly what I needed. Maybe exposure is not a bad thing. Maybe exposure is an invitation for a deeper relationship with Christ. An invitation to stop hiding behind appearances. An invitation to let God do work in your life. An invitation to be known fully in the kingdom of Christ and loved completely. Romans, you turn your Bibles to Romans 8, verse 1, and we're going to end with this. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Listen to that again. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. You see, God will not reject you because of what he sees on the outside. God will look at your heart and he will redeem your heart. So today, I want you to look in the mirror because and tell it that it's a liar. Tell the enemy that he's a liar. The mirror tells a thousand lies. So today, don't worry about that mirror. Worry about your alignment. Worry about your heart. Because when your heart is right, everything else. When your heart is in that get right place, everything else will fall. The pieces will all fall into place. Let's go to the Lord in prayer. Father God, we come before you right now. We come to you with open hearts, Lord. Lord, you see past mistakes, you see images. You see every version of ourself that we try to be in this world. You see us completely, and you still give us a chance. You still love us fully. We thank you for that. God, your word tells us that you do not look at outward appearance, but you look at the heart. So today, Lord, we invite you into our hearts. Lord, as David prayed to you and begged and sang to you in Psalms. Lord, please take away any pride, fear, bitterness, hidden sin, or insecurity that we may have. We lay it all down right now at your feet. Lord, we pray for clean hearts, open hearts. Lord, we ask you to renew our spirit within us right now. Lord, please help us stop worrying. Lord, help us to look forward, look to you, strive to be better. Lord, please teach us to care about more than just outward appearance or becoming something for this world, Lord. Help us to look at things through an eternity lens, Lord. Lord, I pray for anyone right now who is listening that may feel exposed. Lord, just remind them that your grace is enough and your mercy is brand new every single day. Lord, we know you do not look at outward appearances, Lord. We know you look at the heart, as 1 Samuel tells us, Lord. Lord, we pray you shape our hearts to what you want. Lord, we pray that you break what needs to be broken, Lord. That you heal what needs to be healed. Lord, please strengthen us. Help us walk in obedience. Lord, we pray that we are able to surrender our hearts fully. Not just a little bit, not halfway, but fully to you, Lord. Lord, we thank you for your grace, your mercy. We thank you for your blessings and lessons, Lord. It's in Jesus' mighty, holy, divine name we pray these things. Amen and hallelujah. Well, guys, that's it. And um hopefully that helped you out for your hump day Wednesday, February the 25th. I don't even know what it's gonna be like outside. It's still dark. It's still dark 30. And um, I'm gonna go enjoy some fruit and some coffee, and I hope you have a blessed day. If you don't have a relationship with Christ, you better get right. See you tomorrow.

Capturing Thoughts With Truth

SPEAKER_02

Talk their talk. And I'm not condemning you, I'm just gonna give you something that's stronger. Because when that high comes down, your mind is still gonna be tormented. Teach. Let's do context, verse three. For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. Now, watch the verse. Verse four for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty in God to destroy strongholds. Okay, the weapons of your warfare are not carnal. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal. It's not a knife, it's not the gun I walk around with on my hip when I'm in Georgia. The weapons of our warfare are not things you can touch. They're almighty in God for the pulling down of strongholds. Verse 5: we destroy arguments and every lofty opinion that is raised against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive. God help us tonight. We take every thought captive, and we tear it down and we make it obedient to Christ. The warfare in your mind is what the Bible calls strongholds, thought patterns and lies, whispers from the devil that begin in your mind. You meditate on them, you think about them, you worry about them, they go into your heart, they come out of your mouth, they manifest in your life. You're depressed, you're full of anxiety, you're full of worry, you're making bad decisions, they're in your mind. He said your weapons is to take every thought that goes against God's word, you snatch that thought, and you pull it down, and you replace it with the truth of God's word. And every time you do that, you use a weapon to destroy the origin of where your warfare begins. So you have to learn to steward watch your thoughts. Come on, and that you gotta know that every thought is not yours. Every thought is not yours. Yet all of your trouble starts in your mind, and you be hearing evil stuff in your mind, even things you say about your own self. And this is the weapon against that. You gotta learn how to snatch those thoughts and replace them with the word of God. That's why you need to know a little bit of truth. Yeah, because the more truth you know, the easier it is to discern a lie.
