We hit record on a rough morning and trace a path from fog and frustration to focused faith. Through a short devotional and Numbers 13, we weigh the two reports—fear versus faith—and choose the one that leads forward.

• social media boundaries and guarding the mind
• financial stress, waiting on contracts, and hope
• a three-minute devotion that reframed the day
• the spies in Numbers 13 and two conflicting reports
• modern giants: doubt, calling, money, qualifications
• fear versus faith: obstacles versus promise
• practical steps to shift perspective and act
• Philippians 4:13 as a daily stance

Hey guys, it's B-Rob. It is Thursday, March 5th, and man you ever just wake up like just in a funk. Like I normally wake up with the energy of 17 men. Like I normally don't even need coffee, but I like coffee and it kind of calms me down, to be honest with you. Um it's just I don't know, man. I've been trying to get off Facebook. I've been it's hard. I I still need to post, but I just try not to look at it because everybody's so negative and you know, I mean, it's it's sad, man. It really is. I mean, and and if you follow me and you have been following me for a long time, and you call me an anti-Semite or a racist, you ain't gonna, you're gonna lose your news feed. You're gonna lose your B Rob newsfeed, is all I'm gonna tell you. Because I'm just not those, those are engineered words, socially engineered words, and I'm just not going to deal with. I mean, you have learned nothing. Nothing. You still live in the matrix if you use those words. Those words are nowhere in the Bible. Nowhere. Anyway, I'm feeling frogy this morning, and um I'm starting to come out of the funk depression or whatever this is. I mean, it's a gift and a curse. Like it's terrible that I see everything for what it is, the truth, and it's not terrible. I I say that because some days I feel like it's terrible, and a lot of times it hurts because people still are not seeing the truth, and it's very, very depressing. And I've got a lot of things going on. This contract and for the life insurance has taken like forever. It's taken me a month now to get my license, and I'm still trying to get contracted with all these companies so I can actually start making money. So it's we're going on four months with no paycheck, and every day's an interesting new day. Um man, I even got my guitar up for sale. Oh, but all we got is prayer and the hope and faith, and that is what we live in. I am feeling froggy this morning, so I'm gonna hit you with 25 controversial facts. How about that? How about that? Twenty-five controversial facts. I saw this. Well, I don't like yeah, I think um I'm pretty sure, yeah, all these are pretty much there might be one or two that uh a good question, but this is yeah. Twenty-five controversial facts. Let's roll it. Fool for thought. Yeah, let's go. Number one, homosexuality is a sin. Number two, abortion is murder. Number three, horoscopes are satanic. Number four, Jesus is God. Number five, black Hebrew Israelite doctrine is satanic. Black not meaning color, black meaning black magic. Number six, Jesus was not white or black. Number seven, transgenderism is confusion. Number eight, there are only two genders. Number nine, marriage is between a man and a woman only. Number ten, hell is a real place. Number 11, you can do all things through Christ. Number 12, before marriage, number 13. Number 15. It's the only way. Number six, Mormonism. Number 17, praying the Mary and Dead Space and Mancy. Number 18, the Pope is not a biblical office. Number 19, African spirituality is satanic. Number 20, you are lost without Jesus. Number 21, Starbucks is rooted in demonic. Number 22, fraternities are satanic. Number 23, sororities are satanic. Number 24, Black Lives Matter was a host and a money bread. Number 25 and the most important of all. That was cool. And I hope I didn't lose any listeners. But if I did, you know, I mean, they just weren't meant to be. Weren't meant to be here. And I'm just in one of those moods today. I woke up, I mean, let me tell you. There's a lot of things. Got a lot of things going on. Got a lot of things going on, and uh, you know, sometimes you wake up and I don't I don't know how to explain it, but I sat in here, started drinking my coffee, was like, I just want to go back to bed. Maybe I should just go back to bed. Maybe I didn't get enough sleep. I slept pretty good though. But some days are just like that, and um you gotta go to God. I've got books on my desk here, and um you gotta go to God, and that's a fact, and here's a testimony, okay? Sitting here all in myself and just a lot of things, I could have just gone back to bed, looked over at this little book that I got a couple weeks ago. I stopped in um Whole Life Christian Bookstore, Whole Life Ministries down in Augusta. Stopped in. I've never been in there, so I wanted to. I was down there, I wanted to um see what it looked like. And I was looking for a How a Husband Speaks book. And they didn't have it. But anyway, I picked up a$5 book. It's called A Three Minute Devotions for Men. Uh it's got 180 encouraging readings in it. And uh man, I just the little book, I have read a couple of them. I don't do it daily like I should. I've got so much, so many books that sit in here that I try to do a little piece of daily, maybe insert in the podcast. That's where I get some uh material from. But this right here, man, I just opened the book. You see, this is how God works. Okay. All you have to do is put forth the effort and God will do the rest. And that's a fact in life, and that is a uh somebody told me one time all you got to do is go halfway and God will pull you home. And I firmly believe that. So I just opened the book. I didn't start reading from where I left off, which is like the fourth three-minute devotion. I just opened it. Okay. And lo and behold, on page 99, there's a three-minute devotion called Second Thoughts. And I'm gonna read it to you. And um, it says, Second thoughts. We can't attack these people, they are stronger than we are. And that's a verse, Numbers, book of Numbers. If you want to turn your Bible to Numbers, uh chapter 13, and that's verse 31, and that ends that chapter, verse 31 through 33. But the story is Moses sent 12 spies into Canaan in prepare in preparation for the coming invasion. But on the threshold of their greatest exploits, 10 spies took a long, hard look at the challenges and decided they weren't worth it. You see, they saw they saw giants. They saw Nephilim, they saw things that could not, in their mind, they could not handle. You see, they took a look at the challenges and basically said, no, we give up. We're done. Kind of like me waking up with all that on my shoulder today, you know, just wanting to go back to bed. You see, those ten spies, they preferred their nomadic life to the battles before them. So those ten spies, according to the Bible, they died. They died in the desert. Only two of the twelve reached the promised land. So the book goes on, it says, Every man faces moments where the likelihood of success seems small, the obstacles seem insurmountable, and the costs seem immeasurable. Those who turn back never fulfill their dreams, but those who press on may fail, but at least they failed daring greatly. On the threshold of a great accomplishment of leaving behind the desert of this world and pursuing the glorious life in God. You see, some turn back and refuse to step into the new life because they're afraid of it. It costs too much, it costs comfort. You see, sometimes the victory may seem impossible, but for those who refuse to retreat, they press on. They live an adventure of faith, they follow God into the promised land, and they have a full life. The next question the book asks, and it's a legitimate question: will you live by faith or fear? Before we move on, let's go to the Lord in prayer. Father God, Lord, please help us. Please help us not to lose sight. Please help us to have courage. Please, Lord, help us not to lose courage before the battles we face in this life. Lord, please just give us strength, give us faith, and Lord, please be merciful. Lord, I know that you'll be with us and you go before us. It's in Jesus' holy heavenly name we pray. Well, guys. Numbers 13, 31 says, but the men had gone up with him, said, we can't attack those people. They are stronger than we are. You see, it's the book of Numbers. A lot of people, it's not a familiar book. But let me tell you why this context and this verse matters to today in my life, and it may matter in your life. You see, God send seems to be sending me into a season or a land I've never been to before. And I'm 51 years old. So I can give up, go back to the car business, go back to what I know. Or I can keep pressing forward even though it's costing me now. Keep doing my podcast, even though it's costing me now. Keep doing my ministry, even though it's costing me now. And have faith in God's promise. You see, this verse happens when Moses sends twelve spies into the promised land to scout it out. That's Numbers 13. They all saw the same land, they all saw the same cities, and they all saw the same giants. It wasn't anything new. They knew. Just like we know now. You know, giants aren't really a physical thing, and sometimes they are. We have giant cities, we have a lot of things in this world. But metaphorically and symbolically speaking, we face giants daily. Daily. And a lot of us have a mentality of, oh, things aren't going to change. There's nothing we can do. They're not going to do anything. And that mentality is exactly what those giants want. That mentality is giving up. That mentality is the twelve of, excuse me, that mentality is the ten of the twelve. You follow what I'm saying? But there was a small, small percentage. Like a sixteenth percent. Only two of the twelve. Focused on the right thing. You see? They had two completely different reports. Ten spies, or the majority of the spies, focused on the problem. Or what they thought was a problem. More of a bump in the road to God. You see, Joshua and Caleb were the two. And they focused strictly on God's promise. You see, the ten said, We can't do this. They're stronger than us. They'll beat us. They already gave up in their head. But Joshua and Caleb said, The Lord is with us. Do not be afraid of them. That's Numbers 14, 9. You see, the real lesson here is that moment wasn't about the giants. It was about a simple mind's perspective. There was a group of ten and a group of two, and they saw the exact same reality before them. But you see, the group of ten saw it through a lens of fear. So in their mind there was false evidence appearing real. So they already gave up to the enemy. Hands up, weapons on the ground, shield on the ground, armor of God just given away to the enemy out of fear. You see, but one small percentage, sixteenth percent of the twelve, just two, they saw a different version. You see, the ten said, We can't. They're stronger, it's impossible. You see, the two said something different. They said, My God, in my God's faith, and my faith in my God, says, God promised it to us. So God is with us. Let's go. It's ours. Because God promised it. You see, if you if you use this today, symbolically speaking, there's many voices of negativity in your head. There's many giants sitting on your shoulder. Just give you some of mine. Starting a business. Something inside me says I can't do it. I'm 51. The market is too competitive. Pursuing my calling that I know God has for me. Something in the back always says, I'm not educated enough. I don't have a theology degree. How am I gonna sit there and debate with a preacher? But God says differently, because neither did Jesus. I do study my Bible, but I don't have anyone telling me how to feel about or think about, excuse me, think about my Bible. I don't have someone telling me to stay inside of a box. I don't have someone telling me I can't read the Book of Enoch or I can't read the Ethiopian Bible. You see? I'm on a journey. Someone telling me that I can't be on my own journey. Maybe it's someone stepping into a new leadership role, someone younger. I've been there before. And then something inside of you or something on your back saying, I you're not qualified. You're too young. You see, that's the mindset of the ten. You see? That's the mindset of everybody in this world. Maybe not everybody, but you know, a lot of people I talk to. You know? You keep hearing no's. You want to quit, right? We're searching for that one yes, that heart, that one to come back to God. You see, God is looking for that Joshua and that Caleb. You see, most people say those giants are too big. A lot of people say there's nothing we can do. Nothing's going to change. So they continue to live in the comfort of their slavery, whether it be in their mind or physical, they continue. You see? And yes, those giants are big. Yes. Those thoughts in your head are terrible. And yes, they're very persuading. But guess what? My God is bigger than all of that. You see? The key contrast here, the key contrast here is fear, faith. We can't do it, but faith says God will do it. Fear says we can't do it. Faith says God will do it. You see, fear is the thief. God is the creator. Fear can take nothing away from God. So whose side do you want to be on? Fears or God's? You see? Fear focuses on obstacles. God focuses on promise. Fear leads to retreat. God leave leads to breakthrough. You say? You see. Ten spies saw giants and said we can't. My mama said, can't never could do nothing. So what's the point? Two spies saw the same giants and said God can. You see, the land didn't change, the time didn't change, and it still hasn't. But the difference is the perspective. You see? The perspective changed. Guys, that's all I've got for today. I love you guys. I hope the rest of your day and tomorrow is grand. I hope your weekend is amazing. But never forget, never, ever, ever forget Philippians 4.13. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. So when you see them giants, don't let them get in your head, man. Don't let them rent space right up in your head. Tell yourself and tell them giants that you are a descendant of David, the giant slayer, and your God can do anything. And your God is with you. Guys, I love you. God loves you. And if you don't have a relationship with Christ, you better get it right. Hey guys, it's B Rob. Thanks for tuning in.
