Hey guys, it's B Rob. It is the Food for Thought Faith Cast, and I am your host. And guys, I just want to say thank you for tuning in and letting me speak some life into you today on this Monday morning, March 9th. Yeah. I hope you're doing good out there. It's uh early, it's uh about 7 o'clock, and it's still dark outside. This time change is weird, but once I get used to it, I'm gonna love it. I hope it stays that way because the um shorter days are so much more depressing time of year, winter time, that sort of thing. The spring and the summer, it's gonna be great. Sometimes it gets a little hot, but it's okay. You know, we we we we all eight down here in the south. We all eight, we all eight. Today we're gonna be uh in Proverbs. It was the verse of the U version, verse of the day yesterday. I just decided to take the day off. I I wrote the podcast notes and stuff yesterday or the day before yesterday morning, actually, when the the verse hit me. So uh you know the deal. You know the deal. Anyway, we're gonna do a little housekeeping. Uh make sure you visit the website www.forchhristministry.com. Make sure you get you a copy of the book Discernment, a generational, a wake-up call for a generationally cursed society. That's on Amazon. Um you can check out my music, the podcast links to older episodes, that sort of thing. And um I just got I uh last year I met um eight-time world championship wrestler by the name of Nikita Kolov, otherwise known as the Russian Nightmare. Real big back in the day. Um met him, ended up going to his man camp last year in April, life-changing experience, met some uh people that I think I will be uh brothers with for the rest of my life, and uh not only is Nikita a mentor, he is a friend, um, man of God, and he has brought an opportunity to me because I'm on a health health kick and uh trying to keep my weight down, keep it down in the 170s. I've lost uh, I mean, at my heaviest, I was 265, so and I'm not supposed to be that big, I'm supposed to be about 180. So 170 to 180 is perfect, and uh anyway, he brought an opportunity to me. Um it's a very unique opportunity. If you guys are thinking about taking that shot, if you guys are thinking about doing something like that to try to lose weight and you've tried everything else, don't take the shot. I've got a natural, more natural version of the same thing that we're working with here. I'm not gonna say too much, but if you are interested in what I'm talking about, um please send me a message through the website and I will uh put the uh let's see, let me let me let me see. The business line, I I don't have it memorized by heart, but the new business line is 706-267-1467. That's 706-267-1467. If you are interested in what I'm talking about, um it doesn't cost anything just to um to see what we're doing, and um we will be doing a zoom call coming up this week. So if you're interested, uh text me and I'll get you the link to the Zoom call. You don't have to talk, you don't you just listen, just show up, listen, and see what we're talking about. Um, we have a team of brothers working on this, so it's a very unique opportunity um health-wise, and it's some amazing, amazing, amazing stuff. So, guys, we are gonna be in Proverbs today. So if you've got your Bibles, let's turn that thing over to Proverbs uh chapter 31. We're looking at verse um, we're gonna look at the whole verse, but uh let's uh let's do that. So if you have your books, let's turn them. So we're looking Proverbs 31. It's uh not too long. Um you've ever read Proverbs 31, you look at it and you thought, it's this is a normal reaction. Like, how could I ever live up to this? Because in this passage, it describes a woman who seems to do everything perfect. She runs a household, she works hard, she provides for her family, she helps the poor, she speaks wisdom, she fears the Lord. You see, for many people, all that can be or feel intimidating, right? That's like the perfect woman, right? But slow down for a second and really look at what's going on. Um, because I think there's a deeper, beautiful, more uh general meaning to this. I don't think it's meant to create pressure at all for anybody, it's kind of meant to paint a picture of what life looks like when your life is shaped by God's wisdom. You see, it actually connects with the whole book, the word wisdom, because Proverbs begins with this. If you look at Proverbs 1 7, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, you see, and then it ends with 3130. Here's another truth charm is deceitful, and beauty is in vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. So today I want to look at it a little bit deeper. Let's walk through this chapter and see what it's really about. Let's see the meaning of wisdom, the meaning of character, and watch God perform through all of it. So let's let's start with thirty-one ten. It says, an excellent wife who can find, she is far more precious than jewels. Right away, you automatically see a theme. A person of godly character is more valuable than treasure. So that's like a diamond in the rough, right? So if you look at the world in today's society, it's often measured by appearance, by success, by personal belongings, by wealth. You see, but if you look at the scripture, the scripture says something totally different. This particular scripture, a life shaped by wisdom is more valuable than jewels. You see, gone in Proverbs 31, 11 and 12, it says, the heart of her husband trust in her, and he will lack, he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not harm all the days of her life. You see, this passage emphasizes trust and integrity. You see, a person shaped by wisdom becomes someone others can depend on, correct? Because trust is built through consistency, trust is built through faithfulness, and trust is built through integrity, right? And see, those are qualities that don't come from talent or personality, they come from the heart when the heart is shaped by God. You see, the Proverbs 31 woman is also described as someone who works with dedication. If you look at 3113, it says she seeks wool in flack and works with willing hands. And then if you jump down to 17, it says she dresses herself with strength and makes her arm strong. You see, we're not talking about physical strength here, at least I don't think so. I think we're talking about things like discipline, determination, and resilience. Because you see, wisdom's not a passive thing, wisdom shows up in how we live our lives every day. You see, another beautiful part about this chapter is generosity. If you look at verse 20, it says, She opens her hand to the poor and reaches out hands to the needy. You see, right there, a life shaped by God's wisdom always produces compassion. It's right there in the scripture. You see, when a heart is truly after God, it begins to care about the other people that God cares about. If you move on down to twenty six, we're talking about wisdom again. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue because she knows words are powerful. A wise person knows this. A wise person knows that words are life and death, and they can tear people down or they can build people up. It can destroy a city or build a whole country. You see? The woman, Proverbs thirty one describes, uses her words with wisdom and kindness. And if that's not a clear sign of a life shaped by God, I don't know what is, right? You see, there's really something fascinating that a lot of readers that read this particular chapter don't realize. Verses 10 through 31 is actually written as an alphabet poem in Hebrew. I think the scientific word for it is an acrostic. You see, there are 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet and 22 verses in the poem. So the passage describes a life shaped by wisdom from A to Z. You see, in other words, this is a complete painting of the way a godly character should look. It's not meant to be a checklist for stress. It's actually meant to celebrate what a life looks like when wisdom touches every single part of it, when God touches every single part of it. Another thing we're gonna go a little deeper in. You see, the book of Proverbs often describes wisdom as a woman, right? Wisdom, woman. And let's think about this. Open your mind, get out of the box. So let me give you an example. Proverbs chapter 8, verse 11. For wisdom is better than jewels, and all that you may desire cannot compare with her. You see, notice the similarity there? For wisdom is better than jewels. You cannot compare to her. It's all about context of the actual verse. Let's go back to 3110, Proverbs 31.10. She is far more precious than jewels. You see, there's no accident there, there's no coincidence. In fact, coincidence is God merely showing up anonymously, right? Here we're having a symbolism lesson on symbolism here, where the Bible is using wisdom, is using a woman to play the part of wisdom. That's pretty pretty cool, huh? Pretty good thinking. You see, that's there's no accident there, there is no coincidence. The Proverbs 31, woman is actually a living picture of wisdom. Here, woman equals wisdom, and apparently it's like a diamond in the rough to find that, right? That's what the passage says. So go on um uh 3130. Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. You see, there is the main message of the entire chapter. Charm fades, beauty fades, but a life rooted in God lasts forever. Lasts forever. You see, a lot of people read Proverbs, especially women, and think it's about, oh, being perfect. I gotta be perfect, and I'll never be that person. So immediately there's disappointment, downfall, setback in your brain, right? But that's not the picture being painted in the verse, and that's not what it's for. It's about giving direction. It shows us as a whole, woman and man, what life looks like when it's pointed towards God, when your life is shaped with God, you become wise. It's shaped by wisdom because you're living with the presence of the Holy God and his spirit, and it's anchored in God, and there is nothing that can shape or move that. You see, that's a beautiful life. It's not a perfect life, it's a beautiful life. It doesn't have to be a perfect life because it's beautiful. And the main thing, it's anchored in God. So guys, remember that's not just about telling a woman how she should be. It's symbolism for what a wise person looks like as a whole. It's as rare as a perfect woman. Does that make sense? Are you seeing the picture? Just know when we live every day with Christ, we live every day with God, wisdom will show up every day in how we live our lives every single day. Just remember that. And guys, if you do not have a relationship with Jesus, you better get right. Let's go to the Lord in prayer. Thank you, Lord, for this day, Lord. Thank you for waking up. Thank you for this new brand new week. Thank you for giving us another hour in our day, Lord, of light. So we can praise you, Lord. Lord, help us to pursue a godly life. Lord, teach us to walk with wisdom, to speak with kindness, to serve others with compassion as Jesus served us, Lord. Lord, help us to live with integrity and truth. Help us to shape our hearts so our lives reflect you, your truth, your greatness, and your wisdom, Lord. Lord, I pray that everything we do this week, we honor you, Lord. We thank you for your lessons and your blessings. We thank you for your son. We thank you for everything you're gonna do in our lives. Lord, just be with us this week. Help us walk with you, help us walk with wisdom. It's in Jesus' holy, heavenly name we pray these things. Amen and hallelujah. Well, thank you guys.
