We ask whether horror movies are harmless fun or a pipeline to fear that changes how we think, feel, and live. We connect entertainment choices to spiritual warfare, anxiety in kids, and the hard question of what we would watch if Jesus were sitting right beside us.
• checking in on Friday the 13th and why people chase fear
• asking for prayer for Judgewood “Happy Bones Jones” after surgery
• defining horror as content built to trigger fear for profit
• unpacking “broadcast,” “program,” and media influence on the mind
• linking fear to anxiety, depression, and desensitization over time
• using Genesis 3 and 2 Timothy 1:7 to frame fear spiritually
• warning against normalizing darkness as entertainment
• running the thought experiment of taking Jesus to a movie
• choosing what is pure, noble, and pleasing to God

Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the ones who see the world differently, who don't fit neatly into boxes, and refuse to live by someone else's script. You can quote them, you can disagree with them, you can glorify them or vilify them, you can shake your head at their ideas or be inspired by their courage. But the one thing you cannot do is ignore them. Because they change things. They disrupt what's comfortable, they challenge what's normal, and they push the human race forward. Sometimes with loud revolutions, sometimes with quiet persistence that changes everything over time. They see possibility where others see limits. They dare to dream out loud when the world tells them to be silent. They take risks, they stumble, they rise again, and they keep going. Not because it's easy, but because they can't imagine doing anything else. These are the ones who remind us that every great leap forward was once considered impossible. So here's to them: the ones who won't sit down, won't be quiet, and won't stop until the world is different. Because they're the reason it will be.

SPEAKER_03

Hold on, so let me get this straight. Vampires are real, time travel is real, aliens are real, our country is ran by pedophiles, we ain't never been to space. The matrix is real, we live in the matrix, and everybody that's rich and famous and got some power worship the devil. Got it.

SPEAKER_06

What'd they tell you you were? Their son, an American, Patriot, a lover of killer, alive, five, four, five, five, five, five, six, five, five, six, six, six, five, five, four, please. Don't let it be you.

SPEAKER_01

You know that conspiracy theorist, friend, that you've always called crazy? You might want to start listening to him now. I think they've been right about, well, just about everything. You know what most of them are saying right now? There's nothing to fear. While the rest of the world is in pure panic, we might tell you to be wise and stock up on a little bit of water and canned goods. We might have a little blackout. Three days, ten days. Who knows? We're watching a movie, a script play out, central casting at its best. There's no rapture coming. There's no aliens to fear. They might give us a little sky event. The technology out there is way more than you can imagine. That might just be a result of Project Bluebeam, designed to keep the people in fear. Remember where fear comes from. And if you knew what fear feeds, you wouldn't want to be in it. Curiouser and curiouser down the rabbit holes we go. Welcome to the Great Awakening. Things are gonna be a little bumpy for a minute, but they have to reveal all the lies to the world. And when I say all the lies, the rabbit hole goes deeper than you can imagine. And if you're one of my lovely followers wondering where my golden locks went, it was fake just like the media. And let's just say I kicked another insecurity.

SPEAKER_04

It is the mark of a villain. Kidnapping children is not what great nations do. Here's the thing: it's not our world. We don't matter. We don't matter. Oh wow. Here's the good news. I'm sick and tired of the secrets and the lies. It is the secret symbol of the Luminati, and you're a part of it, and it is the all-mocking tongue. For years now, talk show hosts, people on television, people in sitcoms have been hired by the government to throw you off the track, to distract you, to make you laugh, stuff like that, make you happy and docile, so you don't know what's really going on. Talking at a thousand miles an hour up there receiving rewards, and and I was like, I did. Oh, and in case I don't see you, good afternoon, good evening, and good night.

Imagine, if you will, a ship in the middle of a violent storm. The waves are crashing, the wind is pushing the ship way off course. The visibility is almost gone. But in the distance, there's a lighthouse standing firm on the shore. The lighthouse does not move, it does not shake with the storm. It remains steady, shining light so the ship can find its way. And in many ways, that's what God's faithfulness is like. Life can feel like a storm sometimes. Spiritual battles, temptation, fear, discouragement, pressure from the world. While everything around us might feel unstable, God remains steady. Paul says, but the Lord is faithful. You see, God's faithfulness is the lighthouse in the middle of the storm. He will stabilize us when everything feels shaky. Well, hey guys. Welcome back to the Food for Thought Faith Cast. My name is B Rob. As if you did not know, it is a wonderful, lovely Thursday morning. It is 7 30 a.m. on this Friday, the 13th of March. Yeah. So we got Friday the 13th. A lot of people think that's um you know it's people they got scary movies about it. It's probably pagan. If they got scary movies about it, then it's probably pagan, right? So speaking of scary movies, we're gonna get into something today. Let me let me get my notes out. Let's see. Let's see what we got today for this right here. I hope you guys are doing good, man. I want you guys to uh put my buddy Judgewood, uh Happy Bones Jones, in your prayers because he just got out of surgery yesterday. I didn't do a podcast yesterday, but keep him in your prayers for recovery. Um that's a brother of mine and uh very talented brother, and God ain't done with him yet. God is not done with him yet. Very, very smart brother, and I will have him on the podcast. In fact, uh the clip you heard earlier about who did who did they tell you, um, who did they tell you were? Very deep, very deep, very deep about the matrix and uh living in the box and that sort of thing. That stuff makes you think, you know? So that's why I play it and I love it. And you know, even though I'm a believer in Christ, it don't matter. I mean, I still I I think outside the box, you know. I mean, I don't do it to a pagan aspect, but but I mean, I don't, you know, it was scholars that put Jesus to death. It was scholars that put Christ on the cross. So stop with the judgment. You follow what I'm saying? Just let everybody let's let's, you know, call a sin a sin and a sinner a sinner, but we uh we all brothers and sisters and children of the of the utmost high, the author in the sky. The utmost high, the author in the sky. You know what I'm saying? Anyway, let me let me uh the coffee is good and and you can tell it is, you can tell it is. Uh speaking of uh Friday the 13th, we talking about horror movies, right? And so this is a conversation me and my wife have all the time because she loves horror movies and she loves Stephen King and all that crap. And I finally got her to box those uh demonized uh books that keep you in a box that need to be put in a box. I got them to box them up and tape them up and put them in the garage because I just don't. It's the same way with certain things I had up in the band room and on the walls and stuff like that. I just had to get it out of my house. Call me weird if you want, but uh I just, you know, it is what it is, each to his own, right? I feel more comfortable with that stuff gone. It's a memory in my head, that's all I want it to be. You follow what I'm saying? Anyway, so this subject, podcast subject, this long time coming, and I'm surprised it took me this long to do this, and here is the subject or the question matter at hand. Should believers or Christians I hate the word Christian, not that I hate it, it's just that it was given to us by pagans after the Christ had already died. So, anyway, that's a whole nother podcast. And I can't remember if I've tackled that or not. I'll have to look back at my podcast notes. But anyway, let's first we gotta start by examining what actually a horror movie is, right? So, first of all, a movie is done on a screen, which is done by production like it's almost like black magic, you know what I'm saying? Because they they do a lot of spelling, it's broadcasted, so the spell can be casted on a broad level. Let's let's think outside the box, let's get the brain big now. Um you follow what I'm saying there? They call it program for a reason. Programming who they programming, who watches it? I don't, but who watches it? So let's look at horror as a genre. It's a film genre, it seeks to elicit fear or a disgusting feeling from its listeners or watchers, right? It's audience. And it does that for entertainment purposes. So same thing with comedians, you know, it's all oh, it's done for entertainment purposes. But look, look at something, and I want you to look at something specifically on the horror genre of movies. Uh it trends every year, the industry just cashes out, they and people are being entertained without knowing they're in danger and compromising their spirit, and there's a lot of spiritual wickedness behind the horror movies and the genre. And you're probably saying, be robbed, that's stupid. That's it's just entertainment. Hear me out, okay? The main purpose for creating a horror movie is to elicit what? Fear. What is fear other than false evidence appearing real? What is fear? Looking at fear from a if you look at fear, what is the definition? It's an unpleasant emotion caused by a threat of danger, pain, or harm, right? It's an unpleasant feeling, and it's triggered by the perception in your mind of danger, whether it's real or whether it's just imagined. Whether it's on a video game, whether it's on a movie, or whether it's you're walking down the street and it's playing out in real life. If you I mean, psych a lot psychologists define fear as a protective primal emotion that evokes a biochemical and emotional response, right? I mean, that's what it does. It triggers us of present danger or the threat of present danger or harm, whether it's a real physical harm or a psychological harm, right? Look at today's society. What is the epidemic today with our young kids? Depression, anxiety, right? And we wonder why. I mean, we have the walking dead on the TV and five-year-olds running around watching it. I've witnessed that. Don't say, oh, I wouldn't do that. I have been in the house with that happening, and the five-year-old thought it was like Superman. I've witnessed that. That's the world we live in today. And you can say, B Rob, well, that's judgment or perception. No, this is a fact. Fear is a spiritual doorway. It's a gateway for demons to enter a new host. And now we have a product called fear. And fear, as we know it, is the product of the fall of man and the very first thing Adam felt after that fall. Right? I'm gonna get biblical now. In Genesis 3:8, then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Why? Why? Because they feared the Lord. They ate from the fruit of good and evil. They were tempted to by Satan, the serpent. Verse nine. But the Lord God called to the man, Where are you? Verse 10. He answered, I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid. There you go. Let's go back. You see, horror movies are designed, scripted, written to enforce fear in their subjects. I mean, that is what they are written for. The TV is the channel, the movie, theater. And the show or the movies called the broadcast or program. Right? Go back to what I'm talking about. Thinking outside the box. Are we programming our children? Are we programming our youth? Because we were dang sure programming ourselves. Look at all the movies we watched. Hopefully, people get outside and get some more real life. I was one of those movie kids I know, but we I I got some real life too, so I got the best of both worlds. Generation X, baby. But you can see what is happening in the epidemic, and then they just throw drugs at it. Oh, he's depressed. Let's give him some antidepressants. Oh, he's got anxiety. Let's just give him these pills. You know, if you take time to think about the words I said, broadcast, program, channel, theater, you'll realize that you're being exposed to demonic activities created to cast a spell on your mind to induce fear so that demons can gain entrance to your body and home and wreck your life and make it very negative. It is spiritual war that I talk about. Whether you believe or not, these are a fact. Spiritual war. Right? Whether you want to call it vibrations, whether you want to be new age about it, I it doesn't matter. It is what it is, it's ancient history, and it's happening right now because we still going on. Remember what I said? One day in heaven is like a thousand days on earth. So the Lord and Savior just just died on the cross and rose from the grave about six days ago, rose from the grave about three days ago, and then ascended to heaven about two days ago. According to time in heaven, right? So you gotta think about those things. You gotta think about those things. You gotta be the good shepherd. You gotta stay in the word, which gives you wisdom and knowledge as long as you relate it to your life. You see, the Bible clearly tells us in 2 Timothy 1.7. There we go, there's that 1-7 again, 17. 2 Timothy 1.7, for God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but the power of love. And of sound mind. You see, fear is not supposed to be a part of our lives. We're children of God because it's foreign to the nature of a godly life. That is the reason, that is the only reason. There is no debate about that. So when you watch horror movies and it makes you afraid, you have moved from the level God created you to into a fallen state, a lower vibration, a Vibration that negative things can operate and cling to. It's remember the snake and the eagle. The eagle takes the snake way up in the sky because the snake is powerless. But once the eagle falls to the ground, the snake is powerful. It's an analogy. It's not just a story. You call it New Age if you want. I'm a believer, but I know frequencies, and the Bible talks about it in a symbolic fashion all throughout the Bible. You see, movies are a broadcast. Broadcast is a powerful medium. Why do you think the news is on the TV instead of the newspaper anymore? Because it's way more powerful on the TV than if you pick it up, you know, yesterday's news in the newspaper today. That's the future proven the past. But now they have it immediately. Now we have the internet. Now we have things that broadcast and project. And do you know what narcissists do? Do you know what evil does? It projects. Why do you think they call it a movie projector? Lord, man, I'm preaching today. Preaching. You see, the sad truth is that many movies these days, including those outside of the horror scary genre, are either completely anti-theetical to moral values. Moral biblical values, believer values. They are at odds with them. They're at odds with God's divine standard of holiness. They project sin. And that is a fact. And we think it's cool, and our kids think it's cool because we think it's cool. And a lot of times, if we don't think it's cool, our kids are going to think it's cool because they like do the opposite. And we did the same. Because we were programmed to, because we were projected upon whatever they wanted us to learn, whatever they told us, just like my boy Woody said. You have to think. You see, as for horror movies, the entertainment value often lies in their ability, their ability good lord, in their ability to grab our youthful desire to be scared out of our minds. Because it's a rush. And then they attempt to shock you by being gruesome. They shock your consciousness. And that usually involves bloodshed, carnage, a visual of total negativity, a visual that will keep you vibrating on the level of a rodent who scurries the ground in the dark for its food. Did I say that? Whoa. Man, that ain't even on the script. The Lord's speaking today. The great I am is speaking through Brian. Yeah. So basically, our consciousness today of people who have been watching this stuff for 30, 40 years, it's desensitized. That's why people aren't shocked when they see the reality of what's going on. Because it's a horror flick. Right? There's a lot of gore, there's a lot of evil, there's a lot of real things in those movies. And those movies, yeah, they might be fake, but the idea's not. The idea has been there forever. Since Cain and Abel, baby. Cain, Abel, Cain, Abel, Cain ate Abel, cannuble. Man, did I say that on the air? Anyways, guys, just I mean it's you catch my drift there. All things considered, right? If you're a true, true, true, honest believer and you're vibrating on the level that the Creator wants you to vibrate on, you would find it difficult to enjoy anything like that today. I don't watch this stuff. In fact, I try to watch things that are uplifting and keep me in a positive manner. In fact, if it's a if it's negative, I don't even want to listen to it. I don't want to, it just, you know. And sometimes my wife says, I'm no fun. But I think she is seeing the bigger picture now. And she sees her life changing for the positive. Because if you're always watching constant negative things, whether it could be a spy show, it can be a cop show on the New York, NYPD, Blue, whatever. I mean, those are negative things. Are they real? Absolutely. Depends on whether you want to dance with it or not, right? And I'm not trying to dance with the devil in the pale moon. Like, just not trying to do it. What's that quote from? Yeah. Um, I mean, think about it supernatural. Like, let's consider the horror movies that delve into the supernatural realm with a focus on demonic activity, the exorcism. I mean, right? So scripture makes it clear that our earthly struggle is not against the powers of the of this world, but the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm. So we're talking about levels you can't see, but you could feel, right? Right? That's in Ephesians. That's 612. It's this is a good subject. It's a good podcast. We could talk forever. I've been going on for like 30 minutes now. But I think believers are keenly aware that the evil reality of demons and how every moment there's a struggle to be a believer because of that and this spiritual warfare going on. I mean, the very existence is real. Still, kill, and destroy. John 10 10. Basically trying to separate us from our Savior. Because we were born of sin. And see, the reason nobody wants to talk about this subject is because it should not be taken lightly. It should not be considered a form of entertainment. You should not mock the creator. Think about something. If Jesus was hanging out with you, right, y'all was chilling in the backseat, whatever, it don't matter. You chilling with your boys, whatever. They chilling. So, like, if we go into the movies, would you take him to see something like that? Would he consider that entertainment? Or would it offend him? Think about it. You see, that stuff should bother us. Sin and evil should bother us, whether it's psychological or physical, fake or real. Both are real because you're making it real by watching it. It becomes a reality. And you wonder why we have a mental illness problem. You wonder why people are on antidepressants. You wonder why we have so many kids with anxiety. Well, look what's projected. You see, Scripture tells us to be moral and pure, pleasing to God. We are to become beacons of life in an ever-darkening world, striving to live a life that is holy and pleasing to God. Romans 12 1, 1 Thessalonians 2.12. Scripture tells us to be holy. How are you going to be holy when your mind is focused on things that are not noble and pure? Things that are not loving, things that are not admirable, things that are not excellent, things that are not praiseworthy. First Corinthians, whatever we do, do it all for the glory of God. You see, these are the things that should guide us in everything we do. These are the things that make our skin glow. What we take in is what we put out. That old saying, we are what we eat. Are we eating the word of God? Are we eating junk? If you eat McDonald's every day, you're going to die a lot quicker than if you don't. It's that simple. It's the same concept with art and everything else we put into our minds, because that's what's going to tell our heart. And let me tell you, I lived with a heart and heart for a long time because I spent years in the world focusing on the negative, chasing a God, a green God of money. You see, we have to take our own thoughts captive and make them obedient to what is positive. What is going to put life into you, not take it out of you. So when we're watching a horror movie laden with murder, mayhem, the very sins, the very murder, the very things that our creator died for, that Jesus died for. And we're watching his entertainment. Think about that. Are we the very people that put him on the cross for entertainment? Are we? Man, I went way off script today, but I think it was a powerful uh thought experiment, a good uh talk. But I want to leave you with something to think about, okay? In 2 Corinthians chapter 13, verse 5, it says, Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you? You see, as believers, the Spirit of Christ lives within us. It Jesus talks about it throughout the Gospels. But just I want you to imagine for a moment. Like I said earlier, if you were hanging out with him physically, and he was sitting beside you, and you took him to a movie theater to watch a movie, and he was sitting in the theater seat next to you, what movie would you feel comfortable taking him to? That question alone might change how we choose our entertainment. Might change our outlook. Because at the end of the day, every believer has to examine their own heart and their own walk to be like Christ, right? Because Christ is in us. The goal is holiness. It's not worldliness, it's not coolness, it's not legalism. As a follower, we must, we we want our minds, our hearts, and our lives to reflect him. His spirit lives in us. It says in the Bible. So when it comes to horror movies and any other kind of form of entertainment, the question is worth asking: does it draw me closer to my Christ-like inner Holy Spirit, or does it pull my mind and heart towards darkness, towards that lower vibrational level where we can be attacked by those entities? Guys, I want to thank you for listening. If this, if you like the subject, if you like the podcast, please consider sharing it with someone. And man, continue the conversation because this is something that the society needs to talk about. You know? And remember, till next time, guard your heart, guard your mind, keep your focus on what is pure, noble, and pleasing to God. Let's go to the Lord in prayer. Dear Heavenly Father. Lord, we thank you today, man. We thank you for discernment. We just thank you for lifting us up so that we can be in a more holy atmosphere, a more positive atmosphere. We can be that eagle, Lord, and we can defend the snake because we're taking them to a level of prayer, and we come to you now, Lord. We thank you for giving us eyes to see that, Lord. We thank you for discernment. We thank you for your grace. We thank you for your mercy, Lord. Lord, please be with uh Judge Wood, Happy Bones Jones as he recovers from his near-death experience in surgery to correct. Lord, we know that you have a lot more to write in his book of life, Lord, in your book of life. Lord, we just want to pray for everybody else that may need you, Lord. We pray that everyone listening keeps the faith. We pray that we keep any kind of judgment towards each other to a minimum, Lord. We pray that we walk, talk, and focus our minds and hearts on things above and not on things of this world. It's in Jesus' holy, heavenly name. We pray these things, amen and hallelujah. Guys, we love you. And um, I just want to say thank you for tuning in, and from the bottom of my heart, I love you, God loves you, and if you do not have a relationship with Christ, you better get right.
