We talk about the power of praying mothers and why faithful prayer changes outcomes even when nobody sees it. We share a mother’s advice about being present, then we walk through Scripture to encourage you to keep praying and trust God’s timing.

• a reminder that prayer is effective and powerful based on James 5:16
• being fully present with your kids through ordinary moments
• Hannah’s honest prayer turning pain into purpose
• Mary’s surrender and trust when obedience costs comfort
• Jochebed’s faith in letting go of what she cannot control
• persistence in prayer through the Canaanite woman’s story
• Elizabeth’s waiting season and the truth that delays are not denials
• private prayers creating public victories
• practical encouragement to pray for the mothers praying for you and to show them love

A Tribute To The Rebels

SPEAKER_00

Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the ones who see the world differently, who don't fit neatly into boxes, and refuse to live by someone else's script. You can quote them, you can disagree with them, you can glorify them or vilify them, you can shake your head at their ideas or be inspired by their courage. But the one thing you cannot do is ignore them. Because they change things. They disrupt what's comfortable, they challenge what's normal, and they push the human race forward. Sometimes with loud revolutions, sometimes with quiet persistence that changes everything over time. They see possibility where others see limits. They dare to dream out loud when the world tells them to be silent. They take risks, they stumble, they rise again, and they keep going. Not because it's easy, but because they can't imagine doing anything else. These are the ones who remind us that every great leap forward was once considered impossible. So here's to them: the ones who won't sit down, won't be quiet, and won't stop until the world is different. Because they're the reason it will be.

My mom would be at all my sporting events. Let's say I was playing football, okay? My mother would be on the sidelines, and if the play on the field started going one way, my mother would run along like Mark, I'd be like, oh my gosh. I'd get in the huddle with the other guys, they go, Mark, is that your mother? I go, no, I never saw her before in my life. The greatest gift my mother ever gave me, she believed in me. I have overdosed on drugs on three occasions where I should have been dead. But I believe I was kept here for a reason. You show me your friends, I will show you your future. How do I know this? I hung out with losers and I became the biggest loser of them all because I gave up everything I dreamt about as a little boy. Because of who I chose to surround myself with. My friends would drive me home at 2, 3, 4 in the morning. We'd be drunk and high, laughing in the car. We'd pull up in front of my house in New York. They go, Mark, Mark, the lights on. I go, oh man, my mother's up. See, my mom wouldn't go to bed until she knew her son was still alive. I'd walk in, she'd say, Hi Mark, how was your night? I go, good mom. I'm just gonna go to bed. She goes, can I can I talk to you for a minute? I go, mom, I'm tired. I'm just gonna go to bed. She goes, Mark, I haven't seen you all day and all night. Can I please talk to you? I said, man, just leave me alone. You bug me. I'd slam my bedroom door on the one person who believed in me. I was on a worldwide tour when we were wrestling overseas in Japan. After my wrestling match upstairs in my hotel room and I fell asleep, there was a knock at my door at 3 o'clock in the morning. I got out of bed and I looked through the safety window and I could see it was a Japanese promoter. So I opened the door and he said, Mark, you need to call home. There's been an emergency. I went and got on the hotel room on the phone. I called back to the United States and said, hey, what's going on? I said, Mark, I don't know how to tell you this. I said, just tell me what happened. I also started crying. They go, Mark, I can't tell you. I said, just say it. I said, Mark, your mother died. I just threw the phone down. I ran out of my hotel room. I took the elevator to the lobby, and when the doors opened up, I just ran out into the street. I mean, there was no cars, there was no people, it was three o'clock in the morning. And I walked down the middle of a street in Hiroshima, Japan. And I remember looking up and just saying, Mom, I am so sorry. I flew home for her funeral, and I was so nervous to walk up to her casket, so I just stood way in the back. And I kept looking from a distance. I kept thinking to myself, Mom, please wake up. Please get up. And then I finally got the nerve to walk up to her. And as I got closer, I could see my mom for the first time. I mean, she was so beautiful. She was dressed in white. I mean, she looked like an angel. And I just stood over and I said, Mom, you are my hero! Everything I am, everything I hoped to be was because of you. You loved me so much, you gave me a life. You're the only one that ever believed in me. How did it repair? By getting drunk? By getting high? By getting stupid, by hanging out with losers for what? All she ever wanted to do was talk to me. I wish I could talk to you now, Mom. I wish you could see what I'm doing. Why couldn't I have been a better son? We are defined by our choices. But if you surround yourself with people involved in drugs and alcohol and pills, it's a dead end. I'm not here to preach to you. I'm here to tell you I live that life. It leads to broken hearts, broken relationships, broken dreams, and death. For what to get high? If you have a mother or a father, when you go home, tell them how much you love them. See, my whole life was about being rich and famous. I had to be a millionaire. I had to win the race. I had to win the race, expense, my marriage, my family, my friends for what to be all alone in the world. I learned what is truly important, and that is how precious this gift of life is and our families. And how quickly it can be taken away. See, I no longer live in time, I live in moments. See, it's not what's in your pocket that matters, it's what's in your heart that truly matters. Love. Love is just a word until somebody comes along and gives it meaning. You. You're the meaning.

I want to thank you all for tuning in today. We've got a special one today. We're going to be talking about the power of praying mothers. And that is an amazing thing. And it's going to be an amazing day. It's going to be in the 60s, and I'm still waiting on the life insurance companies to get my writing number, so I can't make any money. So I might gonna go outside and cut the grass, even though it didn't rain that much. I mean it rained, but it was cold and it didn't grow that much. But I guarantee you by about four o'clock, it'll be ready for me to cut it again. So I'll probably cut the grass today and uh something I enjoyed doing. Give me a little walking around the yard and in the nature, that sort of thing. But um guys, it's it's uh it's a wonderful Thursday on March nineteenth, twenty twenty twenty-six, and um it is time for Bible trivia. All right, we're back for Bible trivia. We got three questions. You know the deal. First question, easy one. Who built the ark to survive the great flood? Who built the ark to survive the great flood? Give you a second on that. All right, if you guys said Noah, that was an easy one. That was an easy one. And a scripture reference would be Genesis chapter six, verses 13 and 14. All right, second question, a little bit harder, a little bit harder, um, but shouldn't be no task, no hilfa, no climb. So the second question is what is the shortest verse in the Bible? What is the shortest verse in the Bible? Give you a second on that. All right. The question was, what is the shortest verse in the Bible? And if you answered, Jesus wept, you are correct. And that scripture, that scripture reference is John 11 verse 35. Now, here's question number three. It's gonna get a little harder for you, but the question is, what was the name of the high priest who judged Jesus before he was handed over to Pilate? What was the name of the high priest before he was handed over to Pilate? Give you a second on that. All right, if you said Caiaphas, you are one hundred percent correct, and that scripture reference is Matthew 26 57. And guys, I want to thank you for playing Bible trivia. Guys, we got a good one lined up today. Thank you guys for tuning in once again. Make sure you visit the website www.forechrist ministry.com. That is our ministry. You can check out the book, Discernment, a wake-up call for a generationally cursed society. And you can book me for your weddings or your private parties or your church or whatever you want to do. Um, I will donate my time for God's calling. You follow what I'm saying? And we would love to pray for you. So if you have prayer requests or you want to know about the trainot opportunity, um, simply text me, 706-267-1467. That's 706-267-1467. But let's get back to the podcast and the message of the day. We're going to be talking about praying mothers and speaking of a praying mother. Now, this is a mother who grew up Catholic, who married a Southern Baptist, who grew up Southern Baptist and Holiness, and um she didn't really know how to pray. It was more like chanting, but she is learning, and she is doing so good. And I wanted her to be on the podcast today, but she wouldn't be on the podcast, she doesn't feel good today. In fact, I don't think she's gonna work today, but she will definitely do things around here because that's what she does. So I asked her a question. She said she didn't want to be on the podcast, so I text her a question. And um let's see where the Okay, is there one piece of advice you could give our listeners as a mother of three grown kids? If there is, what would it be? And she texts back she said to be fully present while you have them. The days feel long sometimes, but the years go by so fast. It's the little conversations, the car rides, the bedtime routines, the random questions. That's where the real connection is built. Not in perfection, not in having all the answers, just in showing up, listening, and loving them right where they are. Because one day they grow up, and those ordinary moments you don't think much about anymore. Those are the ones you wish you could go back and hold on to just a little longer. Looking back, I also would have homeschooled and definitely would have cut way back on fast food and processed foods, and most importantly, I would have made God the center and priority of our lives. Yep, that's my wife, Courtney, and the mother of my three grown kids. And yes, you know, we it's like we were under a spell for 20 years. We got married, everything was we madly in love. Our story is amazing. We met in a gas station. Um it's a good story I'm gonna tell my great-grandkids and my grandkids about, you know. It's a great, great story. But we I'll tell that I've already told that story and we'll tell it again one day on another podcast. But it's like we were living in the world for 20 years, you know? Even though halfway through I joined the church and the worship team and all that stuff, and the kids did grow up in church when they were younger, we were still living in the world. And we had blinders over our eyes. But let me tell you about the power of a praying mother. I want to talk about something, and something that's powerful because I know this. I know this. Me and my mama's story is a story for another podcast, but let me tell you something. I think I was three months old when my mama burned a checkbook and moved back home from Texas. I was born here, but he was from Dallas, Texas. But that's all I'm gonna talk about. All I'm gonna tell you is my mama's been praying for me and still prays for me. So and I love my mama. Love you, mama. But anyway, we're gonna talk about something powerful, something overlooked, and a lot of times quiet. And that's the power of a praying mother, not a perfect mother, not a famous mother, not a mother with all the answers, but a mother who knows how to kneel and pray to the God of hosts for her kids. Because throughout history and throughout the Bible, it shows the truth that when a mother prays, things change. Like you may not see it immediately, you may not hear about it publicly, you may not see it on the news, you may not, you know, headline. It may not be a headline, but let me tell you something. When a mother prays, heaven responds. I want you to turn your Bibles to James chapter 5, verse 16. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much. You see, that means prayer is not passive, it's not weak, it's not just words, it is actual power. Let's look at Hannah, Samuel's mother. In 1 Samuel chapter 1, verses 10 and 11. The Bible says that she was bitter in her soul and she prayed. The Bible says she prayed. She wasn't calm, she wasn't polished, but she was hurting. But yet she still begged and prayed to God. She poured out her soul to God. And then in verse 27, she says, For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition. Amen. Look at the truth. When you when you what you pour out in prayer, God can pour back in purpose, and that is the truth. You see, Hannah's pain produced Samuel, a prophet. You see? So if you're hurting right now, if you're carrying something heavy, don't put it down, just pray it out. Now look at Mary. That mother of Jesus, God in the flesh, Christ. In Luke 1, verse 38, she says, Behold the maid servant of the Lord. Let it be me according to your word. What is that? That's surrendering to God. That is doing something what God is asking of her. Was it easy? No. It cost her comfort. It cost her her reputation. But she said yes anyway. You follow? And then she prays about it in Luke 1, verses 46, 49, magnifying the Lord, praising the Lord. You see, a praying mother trusts God and God's will. Even when she doesn't understand what it is. You see, you don't have to have all the answers. You just need to trust the one who does, right? You don't have to have all the answers. You just need to trust the one who does have all the answers. I mean, look at Jacob, the mother of Moses. In Exodus 2, she hides her baby as long as she can. They were trying to kill. All the boys. But eventually she has to let him go. She places him in a basket in the river. Snakes. Lions, tigers, and bears, oh my. You see? And releases him into God's hands. Into faith's hands. Can you imagine being that person at that moment? Can you imagine that? That's not weakness, that's faith. That's faith. That's trusting God beyond your own imagination, beyond your own reach. That's trusting God. See, there comes a point in your life where you've done all that you can do. And you have to say, God, I trust you with what I cannot control. You see, the persistent mother does not stop praying. If you look at Matthew in chapter 15, a Canaanite woman cries out to Jesus for her daughter, a Canaanite woman. You see, at first it seems like she's ignored. Then it seems like she's rejected. But you see, she keeps going. She is persistent. She has faith. She keeps asking. She keeps believing. And Jesus says in verse twenty-eight, O woman, great is your faith. Let it be to you as you desire. And her daughter was healed. Why? Because she had faith. She refused to quit. You see, some breakthroughs don't come from just one prayer. They come from persistent praying. Many prayers. So I'm here to tell you, don't stop, don't give up. We appreciate it as sons and daughters. And people, folks, do not ever let silence make you think God is not working. And let me just tell you. Elizabeth trusted God's timing, and you have to trust God's timing too. You see, Elizabeth prayed for a child four years and nothing happened for a long, long time. But in Luke 1, verse 13, an angel came and said, Your prayer is heard. Is heard. Not forgotten, but is heard. You see, God did not ignore her. He was timing her. And when the time came, the perfect time came, she gave birth to John the Baptist. You see, God's delays are not denials. Let me say that again. God's delays are not denials. If it hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't happen. You see? David had the heart of a lion. Now you don't hear much about David's mother. She's not really named much in the Bible, but she's not absent either. And we know this. Because in Psalms 86, verse 16, David says, save the son of your maid servant. In Psalms 116, 16, verse 16, verse 16, he says it again. So that tells us something right there that David was raised by a woman who served God and who prayed to God for David and what David would become. Way, way, way before David ever faced Goliath. He was formed in a home where God was known. You see, private prayers create public victories. I'm gonna say that again. Private prayers create public victories. You may not be seen, you may not be celebrated, but your impact has eternity written all over it. So let's recap. Let's bring it all together. You see, Hannah prayed, and a prophet was born. You see, Mary surrendered to God, and the Savior came. You see, Joebed trusted, and a deliverer was raised. A persistent mother prayed, and healing came. And God's maidservant prayed faithfully and praised God. And David came. A king after God's heart emerged. You see, what is the common thread there? What's the denominator there? What makes it all gel together? Prayer. Because prayer changes outcome. Prayer changes everything. Faith in God has eternal benefits. Not having faith can have eternal consequences. So today, for everybody listening on this call, I want to encourage you to please keep praying. All you mothers out there listening, please keep praying. Everybody listening, please pray for the mothers that are praying for you. And tell them you love them. Take them on a date. Give them time. Keep praying. When you're tired, keep praying. When you're discouraged, keep praying. When you don't see results, keep praying. You want to know why? Because it's God's timing. And God definitely hears you. In Isaiah 65, verse 24, it says, before they call, I will answer, and I while they are still speaking, I will hear them. Before they call, I will answer. And while they are still speaking, I will hear. That means heaven was moving before you thought it. So keep praying. Keep praying. Let's go to the Lord in prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, please. Lord, strengthen every praying mother. Lord, please strengthen every person standing in the gap, Lord. Just remind them, lift them up with your hands, and know that they are very much appreciated and they are not wasted, and their faith is not in vain, Lord. And what they've placed in your hands, we know that you are faithful to complete, Lord. We know this because you are gracious, God. We know this because you are a God of promises and you always keep your promises, Lord. Lord, we thank you for this day. We thank you for this beautiful weather, Lord. We thank you for everybody that is here now, listening. Lord, I thank you for this platform. I thank you for my beautiful wife and mother and my beautiful kids, Lord. I thank you for everything I've done or you have done in my life, Lord. I thank you for everything you have done in everybody listening's, everyone listening's life. Lord, we thank you for everything you've done, everything you're going to do. And Lord, just please give us patience and the eyes to see because we know that the bigger picture is in your hands and you are faithful to complete every single thing you promised. It's in Jesus' heavenly, holy name we pray these things. Amen and hallelujah. Well, guys, thank you for tuning in today. I love you. God loves you. And if you don't have a relationship with Jesus, you better get right. God created a spirit soul and body.
