We ask one question that exposes what is really happening in our hearts: what are we growing, and what kind of fruit is it producing. We contrast a bitter, negative root with a healthy, pruned life of gratitude and faith, then we pray for God to pull up what does not look like Him.
• The “what are you growing” test for real spiritual growth
• Whatever we feed, water, and focus on grows in the heart
• Excuses and identity scripts that quietly plant bad seeds
• The negative tree: bitterness, criticism, offense, and fear spreading to others
• The enemy’s tactic of rehearsed wounds and replaying the past
• The positive tree: good soil, pruning as preparation, abiding in the source
• Gratitude as spiritual warfare against entitlement and comparison
• Choosing daily between fear and faith, offense and forgiveness, accusation and grace
• Taking thoughts captive and refusing to water the wrong seed
• Praying for God to search our hearts, remove bitter roots, and grow lasting fruit

A Toast To The Misfits

SPEAKER_00

It's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the ones who see the world differently, who don't fit neatly into boxes, and refuse to live by someone else's script. You can quote them, you can disagree with them, you can glorify them, or vilify them, you can shake your head at their ideas or be inspired by their courage. But the one thing you cannot do is ignore them. Because they change things. They disrupt what's comfortable, they challenge what's normal, and they push the human race forward. Sometimes with loud revolutions, sometimes with quiet persistence that changes everything over time. They see possibility where others see limits. They dare to dream out loud when the world tells them to be silent. They take risks, they stumble, they rise again, and they keep going. Not because it's easy, but because they can't imagine doing anything else. These are the ones who remind us that every great leap forward was once considered impossible. So here's to them. The ones who won't sit down, won't be quiet, and won't stop until the world is different. Because they're the reason it will be.

The Question Every Believer Faces

SPEAKER_03

Guys, we're gonna talk about something today that really hits home. Something that um just it's it's a thought, it's a process, man. It's it's it's a way of life, and um it can make or break you, it can cause death or life. It is an amazing thing. So let me ask you a question today, guys. It's the Food for Thought Faith Cast. It's Saturday, June sixth. And what are you growing today? Because Matthew 718 says, A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. So, guys, today I want to talk about a question every believer must answer. Every single believer must answer this question. What are you growing? What are you growing? Not what are you saying, not what are you posting, not what are you claiming, but what are you actually growing in your heart? Whatever you feed grows. Whatever you water grows. Whatever you continually focus on eventually grows. I guess what I'm saying, guys, is many people spend years planting seeds and they don't even know it. Positive or negative. They plant excuses. I'm not that kind of person. I've always been that way. That's just how my family is. If my circumstances were different, I'd be different. But let me tell you something that the word of God teaches. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. That's Proverbs 23:7. You see, the enemy often wants us to believe that our past determines our future. But Jesus, Yeshua, says something totally different. In 2 Corinthians 5, 17, it says, if anyone is in the Messiah, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away. So the question here is not what happened to you. The question here today is what are you choosing to cultivate today? Benny, Benny, you gotta stop. Go out. Sorry, guys. The Frenchies is, you know, they they make noise. They little boys, but they make noise. Big noise, little boys. Anyway, let me let me what are you choosing to cultivate today? Are you choosing a tree of negativity or a tree of positivity? Because they both grow, they both spread.

How Negativity Becomes A Bitter Tree

SPEAKER_03

But let's look at the tree of negativity. Imagine a tree planted on a rocky soul, it grows quick, it spreads wide. But guess what, guys? It has no roots. So instead of producing fruit, it consumes everything, every bit of life around the rocky soil, because that's the only thing it has to consume. Every conversation becomes criticism. Every mistake becomes a reason for offense, for defense. Every disagreement becomes a battlefield. And that's not how communication works. Every memory becomes a wound because it keeps reopening. The tree keeps growing, but nothing healthy comes from it. And the word of God describes this condition. In Hebrews 12, 15 it says, See to it that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. You notice something? That bitterness never stays contained. That bad root doesn't that root underground, that bitterness, that little bit, that shallow root, not the strong one, but the shallow one. The one that kills every bit of life, every bit of little life that is in that rocky soul. That root, that little bit of root eventually becomes a tree above ground. And that tree affects everyone around it. You see, bitterness spreads, negativity spreads, offensiveness spreads. Because it's fear, it's false evidence appearing real, and fear spreads. But guess what, guys? Guess what? There's a positive tree. Because faith spreads as well, right? But let's go to the stay on the negative tree for a minute. The enemy loves rehearsed wounds. You see, one of the enemy's best tactics, favorite go-tos, is keeping people focused on what happened yesterday, what happened this morning, when you got up and stubbed your toe. The enemy dances a jig when he sees us replaying, rewinding, playing again, rewinding, playing again, rewinding, playing again. You catch my drift? Old conversations, old failures, old pain, old hurts, old disappointments. Because instead of moving towards healing, he wants us to keep revisiting the woman so it stays open. Yet the word of God says, forgetting these things which are behind and reaching forth into those things which are before, I press toward the mark. That's Philippians three, verse thirteen and fourteen. Because the enemy wants us trapped in a negative remembrance. You see, that's the difference between the negative tree and the positive tree. Now, picture this.

Good Soil Pruning And Staying Connected

SPEAKER_03

There's another tree. The tree is planted in great soil, good soil. It's watered, it's cared for. No poison, no pesticides. It's pruned. And pruning is uncomfortable, but pruning is not punishment. Remember what we talked about. Pruning is preparation. Yeshua said, Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. That's John 15, 2. Because the healthy tree welcomes the work of God, the pruner. The healthy tree grows deeper and more solid roots. The healthy tree learns gratitude. The healthy tree learns forgiveness. The healthy tree learns trust. And eventually the healthy tree produces more healthy fruit. Not because it tried harder, but because it stayed connected to the source. Look at John 15:4. It said, Abide in me and I in you. I and I. Because gratitude changes perspective. You see, sometimes we become so focused on what we don't have that we completely miss what God has already done, the battles, the battles he has already won. We compare, we complain, we focus on what's missing. Meanwhile, God's saying, look ahead. Look ahead. Look, look ahead. You see, David understood this. Look at Psalms 103, too. Bless the Lord, O my soul. And forget not all his benefits. You see, gratitude is a sharp sword in spiritual warfare. You see, thankfulness breaks the power of entitlement. It's an axe. Thankfulness breaks the power of comparison. Because you have no business comparing yourself to your neighbor or anybody else. That's the evil of social media. If you let it get it to you. You see, thankfulness reminds us that every good thing comes from God and only God, James 117. 117, there you go. Look at there, 117. Every good gift, every perfect gift is from above. Because when gratitude grows, bitterness struggles to survive. And the beautiful thing is you have a choice. I have a choice. We have a choice.

Choose Your Voice And Fight From Victory

SPEAKER_03

Because every day we choose what voice we entertain. Every day we choose which tree we're going to grow. Water, feed. The voice of fear or the voice of faith, the voice of offense or the voice of forgiveness, the voice of accusation or the voice of grace. Which one? Because Scripture reminds us, choose this day whom you will serve. Joshua 24, 15. You see, the battlefield is in the mind. Second Corinthians 10 5. It says, take every thought captive to obey the Messiah. Not every thought deserves your attention. Not every emotion deserves your agreement. Not every accusation deserves a response at all. Because sometimes victory is simply refusing to water the wrong seed. Remember, don't feed the fools. You want to know why? You want to know why? The most important thing. You have to walk from a stance of victory because God has already won the battle. You see, we as believers do not fight for victory. We fight from victory. The resurrection announced the victory. In all things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. That's Romans 8:37. Who we in it today. We in it today. That mojo has got me on my mojo. I'll tell you about that in a minute. You see, the enemy wants you focused on struggle, but you see, God wants you focused on the Savior. The enemy wants you trapped in the problem. God wants you rooted in his promises. The enemy wants you growing bitterness. God wants you growing fruit. So ask yourself today, Faith Cast fan. What are you feeding? What are you watering? What are you allowing to take root? Because whatever you plant today becomes what you live in tomorrow. So, guys, I hope we're planted in good soil. And guys, I hope people choose grace over offense. Oh, faith over fear. I pray these things. Praise over complaint. Fruitfulness over bitterness. You know? Humility over pride. Jeremiah 17. There we go. Verses seven and eight. Blessed is the man who trust in the Lord. He shall be like a tree planted by the waters, and whatever he does shall prosper. Let's go to the Lord in prayer, guys.

A Prayer To Uproot Bitter Roots

SPEAKER_03

Heavenly Father, we come before you today. Just grateful for your mercy, your patience. We just love your unfailing love, your promises. Father God, thank you for reminding us that we nurture, that what we what we nurture in our hearts, Lord, that what we take, what we water, what we feed in our hearts will eventually bear fruit. So Lord, please search us and reveal any kind of roots of bitterness, any kind of roots of fear, any kind of roots of pride, any kind of roots of offense, unbelief, negativity that may be taking hold beneath the surface of the skin. We know your word says, search me, O God. I know my heart, Lord. It says to try you. So I'm not understanding why we would even give thought, much less water, or try to seed the negative tree. I don't understand that. But Father God, you said we would know them by their fruits. So Father, I pray you remove anything that does not look like you. I pray this right now. I pray that you prune where pruning is needed, Lord. Strengthen us where we are weak, heal us where we are wounded, Lord. Teach us wisdom and how to just keep focus on the windshield, which is so much bigger than the rear view mirror. Lord, we know that if we keep looking in that rear view mirror, Lord, that eventually we'll crash head on because we're not paying attention to where we're going. And Father God, I pray with all my being and all my heart that that does not happen to anybody who's listening today. Anybody in my family. Lord, teach us that you have already forgiven us and that we can stop carrying what Yeshua has already carried to the cross. Lord, we pray that you help us choose gratitude over complaint, that we choose faith over fear, Lord. That we choose grace, that we choose the truth over any lie the enemy may have. Lord, I pray that our lives produce fruit. I pray for peace, patience, goodness, kindness. Most of all, for me, I pray for self-control. And I also pray that anybody who's listening today that has any problems with any of those things that they know that anything can be overcome through the blood of Jesus. Anything. It's in Jesus' holy heavenly name we pray these things. Amen and hallelujah.

I used to be a four or five cup drinker along with energy drinks. And now I only drink one cup of our mojo coffee in the morning at about 6 a.m. And it's a nootropic coffee with L-theanine and natural green tea caffeine. And I'm here to tell you it is a better, cleaner energy, and it lasts all day than ten cups of coffee. No crash. It's even hard to go to bed sometimes. And I sleep hard for a couple hours. And I'm good to go. It's like wild. I don't even know how to explain it. But everything on the website's 20% off. And if you have any questions, you can reach out, 706-267-1467. That's www.trainot, t-r-a-n-o-n t dot com forward slash B-rob. And guys, remember every thought you water today is tomorrow's harvest. So if you're gonna spend all day feeding something, make sure you feed your faith and not the stray cat of negativity that shows up at your door every day looking for a handout. Until next time, guys, stay rooted in the word, stay connected to the vine, and remember the loudest voice in your life shouldn't be your circumstances. It should be the one who already overcame them.

Final Challenge To Get Right With Jesus

SPEAKER_03

And if you don't have a relationship with him, Yeshua, Jesus the Christ, the great I am, the beginning and the end, yeah. You need to get right.
